Gay people and Muslims have minor conflict in England… Minor this time.

Today was the 3rd Derby Gay Pride festival and according to gaypedia it is a street festival followed by a street parade of gays and lesbians, the theme being ‘Pride not Prejudice’.

Derby has a large muslim community and up to 2,000 people attend Friday prayers at the Jamia Mosque on Normanton road.

Posters advertising a protest against the festival were seen in the Normanton Road area of Derby earlier on in the week. The posters urged muslims to demonstrate against the Derby Gay Pride festival as ‘gays are un-islamic’.

Around a dozen muslims gathered outside St Peters Church, some with megaphones and ‘chanting in a foreign language’ according to my source who was in the area.

A woman stood in front of them waving a placard that said ‘Live and let live’ and trying to argue her point along with a couple of men. The muslims just drowned them out with megaphones.

A group of 30-40 shoppers stood around trying to see what was happening before walking off in disgust, either shaking their heads or calling the muslim group scum.

Police took photos of the group of muslims and eventually escorted them off towards the spot.

First let me make my terms clear. Below, a 12 minute video clip by one of my favorite analysts in the new media, Bill Whittle, who explains what exactly the narrative is and where it came from. His clip is 12 minutes long. Please watch it if you have not already. At the and of his 12 minutes I attached the specific video clip he recommended for those who wish to know more.

In this context I hope the title makes sense. Blazing Cat Fur was kind enough to send me a link to their site of an article about how at the last moment, ‘Queers Against Israeli Apartheid’ is going to be allowed to march in this years ‘Gay Pride’ festival.

I find this interesting. First, presumably the marches were for the establishment of equal rights for homosexuals before the law. An understandable goal for a liberal society and in the context of real equal rights (as opposed to systemic discrimination such as affirmative action etc) a critically important one.

Then, at least it appears to me, the marches having achieved all their goals at least in Canada became celebrations of pure hedonism. At one level fun and eclectic, at another, a thorn in the side of those more conservative minded people who feel that sexuality should have some modesty and social responsibilities attached.

Even so, it was a livable balance.

However the power of the Anti Israel and often if not always, a stone’s throw away from anti-Semetic narrative is so powerful, that Homosexuals have fought for the ‘right’ to march against the one state in the entire Middle east, and probably although I am not certain all of South Asia, who actually do not murder homosexuals merely for being such.

Let me summarize.

Gay people won the right to be equal before the law and march with impunity as openly gay in the streets of North America, even to the point of breaking numerous laws on nudity in public and so on, just to then decide to use that massive political lobby to fight for people who would bury them to the neck and stone them to death against the only tiny state in that region who would allow them full rights, liberties, dignity and opportunity as openly gay people.

And the protest from the gay community?

Short of Fred’s excelent blog Gay and Right and perhaps one or two  more tiny voices of reason I hear deafening silence.

All I can say is, if homosexuals in Canada had a grain of integrity or for that matter even a modicum of self preservation, they would be marching for gay rights in Palestine or Saudi Arabia or anywhere in the Islamic world.

Gay people of Canada, you have a great deal to be ashamed of.

I would like to remind you that the term faggot meant that gay people could be stacked like cord-wood and would burn well. That homosexuals were murdered by the hundreds of thousands alongside the Jews and Gypsies in the Nazi death camps. That you ally yourselves with the very people who will take bets on how long it will take you to die in some ancient ritualistic form of mutilationous murder.

Pick your allies well. History is watching.

Here is more footage, before and after of the Vilks lecture showing what led up to it. The claim is, Muslims were offended by the ‘Pornography’ which you can see, is not being shown. Leftists must be torn to pieces inside trying to defend the conservative sensitivities of Muslims when they would have been rioting to force Western conservatives to allow pornographic material in public lectures only a couple of decades ago. Even so, this is not pornographic. This was well prepared Muslims who just found their moment.

A London university has been condemned for inviting an Islamic preacher with anti-Semitic and homophobic views to give a lecture to students.

Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick Guest speaker: Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick will lecture students at King’s College.

Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick is due to speak at King’s College‘s Strand campus at six tonight.

Peter Tatchell, of pressure group Outrage, accused university bosses of cowardice and “complicity with fundamentalism” by giving the preacher a public platform.

Sheikh Quick has denounced the “filth” of Jews and once gave a televised lecture in which he said the Islamic position on homosexuality is “death”.

He added: “Muslims are going to have to take a stand [against homosexuals] and it’s not enough to call names.”

He is due to give a talk on the environment in an event organised by the University of London Union Islamic Society for its Green Week campaign.

Mr Tatchell said: “King’s College would not host a white supremacist who advocated racism or death to black people… King’s College has an equal opportunities policy that prohibits the promotion of hatred against minorities, but it is not enforcing it.

“The university is not a safe place for Jewish and gay students when it facilitates a vicious homophobe and anti-Semite like Sheikh Abdullah Quick.”

He claimed that the university’s attitude represented “collusion with the gateways to terrorism”.

A King’s College spokeswoman said Sheikh Quick’s talk would be on “environmental problems, Islamic solutions”, adding: “He has already spoken at other universities without controversy and there is no indication that the topic of his talk will be controversial.

“The Dean of King’s College London, who oversees multi-faith relations, and the president of the students’ union will attend the event. If they deem any comments from Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick to be offensive to minorities, the talk will be stopped.”

Sheikh Quick is also due to visit the University of East London at the weekend.

His website says he was born in America and completed a masters degree and a doctorate in African history at the University of Toronto, and has served as an imam in Los Angeles, Jamaica, Canada and Cape Town.

There’s no shortage of volunteers. In the Low Countries, whenever anyone seeks to discuss Islam outside the very narrow bounds of multicultural political discourse, they wind up either banned (Belgium’s Vlaams Blok), forced into exile (Ayaan Hirsi Ali) or killed (Pim Fortuyn).

It’s remarkable how speedily “the most tolerant country in Europe,” in a peculiarly repellent strain of coercive appeasement, has adopted “shoot the messenger” as an all-purpose cure-all for “Islamophobia.” To some of us, the Netherlands means tulips, clogs, windmills, fingers in the dike. To others, it means marijuana cafés, long-haired soldiers, legalized hookers, fingers in the dike. But the contemporary reality is an increasingly incoherent polity where gays are bashed, uncovered women get jeered at, and you can’t do The Diary of Anne Frank as your school play lest the Gestapo walk-ons are greeted by audience cries of “She’s in the attic!” Speaking as a bona fide far-right nutcase, I rather resent the label’s export to Holland: Pim Fortuyn wasn’t “right-wing,” he was a gay hedonist; Theo van Gogh was an anti-monarchist coke-snorting nihilist; Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a secular liberal feminist; Geert Wilders says he’s opposed to Islam because of its hostility to gay equality, whereas the usual rap against us far-right extremists is that we want the godless sodomites to roast in hell.

It’s not “ironic” that the most liberal country in western Europe should be the most advanced in its descent into a profoundly illiberal hell. It was entirely foreseeable. Geert Wilders is stating the obvious: a society that becomes more Muslim will have fewer gays. Last year, the Rainbow Palace, formerly Amsterdam’s most popular homo-hotel (relax, that’s the Dutch word for it), announced it was renaming itself the Sharm and reorienting itself to Islamic tourism. Or as the website allah.eu put it: “Gay Hotel Turns Muslim.” As a headline in the impeccably non-far-right Spiegel wondered: “How much Allah can the Old Continent bear?” It’s an interesting question, albeit if an increasingly verboten one. The Wilders show trial is important because it will determine whether the subject can be discussed openly by mainstream politicians and public figures, or whether it will be forced underground and manifest itself in more violent ways.

Yet, despite its significance, the trial has received relatively little coverage in the Western media, in part because, for those of a multiculti bent, there’s no easy way to blur the reality—that this is a political prosecution by a thought police so stupid they don’t realize they’re delegitimizing the very institutions of the state. Still, the BBC gave it their best shot, concluding their report thus: “Correspondents say his Freedom Party (PVV), which has nine MPs in the lower house of parliament, has built its popularity largely by tapping into the fear and resentment of Muslim immigrants.”

Gotcha. This democracy business is all very well, but let’s face it, the people are saps, gullible boobs, racist morons, knuckle-dragging f–kwits. One-man-one-vote is fine in theory, but next thing you know some slicker’s “tapping into” the morons’ “fears and resentments” and cleaning up at the polls.

Strange how it always comes back to a contempt for the people. Whenever the electorate departs from the elite’s pieties, whether in the Netherlands or in Massachusetts last month, it’s because some wily demagogue like, er, Scott Brown has been playing on the impressionable hicks’ “fears and resentments.” To the statist bullies at Canada’s “Human Rights” Commissions, their powers to regulate speech are necessary to prevent hate-mongers like me tapping into the fears and resentments of the Dominion’s millions of birdbrained boobs. Yes, that would be you, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schmoe of 22 Dufferin Gardens. Sure, you’ve voted for the Liberals every year since Expo, but c’mon, in your heart you know even you might be…susceptible…impressionable.

In the old days—divine right of kings, rule by patrician nobility—it was easier. But today’s establishment is obliged to pay at least lip service to popular sovereignty. So it has to behave more artfully. You’ll still have your vote; it’s just that the guy you wanted to give it to is on trial, and his platform’s been criminalized.

To return to where we came in, what does it mean when the Ministry of Justice proudly declares that the truth is no defence? When the law stands in explicit opposition to the truth, freeborn peoples should stand in opposition to the law. Because, as the British commentator Pat Condell says, “When the truth is no defence, there is no defence”—and what we are witnessing is a heresy trial. The good news is that the Openbaar Ministerie is doing such a grand job with its pilot program of apostasy prosecutions you’ll barely notice when sharia is formally adopted.

“The Vice Chancellor of City University London, Julius Weinberg, should resign. He is refusing to take any action after the Islamic Society hosted a fundamentalist preacher, Abu Usamah, who advocates the murder of gay people and of Muslims who give up their faith,” said human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell.

Abu Usamah was recorded on Channel Four’s television documentary, Undercover Mosque, as saying: “Do you practice homosexuality with men? Take that homosexual man and throw him off the mountain.” On Muslims who leave the faith he said: “If the Imam wants to crucify him, he should crucify him. The person is put up on the wood and he’s left there to bleed to death for three days.”

Abu Usamah was also filmed deriding women as “deficient”, inferior to men and intellectually “incomplete.”

Another speaker given a platform at the same City University event on 4 November, Murthadah Khan, was also caught on the Undercover Mosque documentary calling Jews and Christians “enemies” and “filthy”.

“It is utterly disgraceful that the student’s union has defended the
hosting of these two hate preachers, and that the Vice Chancellor has
not responded to complaints from students. These responses violate the equal opportunities policies of the university and the student’s
union,” added Mr Tatchell.

“They would never tolerate a white surpemacist who used racist abuse and advocated the murder of black people. Why the double standards?

“The Vice Chancellor seems unwilling to uphold the university’s equal
opportunities policy. He has failed to defend Muslim, Jewish, Christian, gay and women students and staff against this vile hatred. Having neglected to ensure that the university is a safe, welcoming place to work and study, Julius Weinberg should stand down,” said Mr Tatchell

Here is a chilling interview with the man who invited Geert Wilders to speak at the British House of Lords. ‘This is not a right wing nut’ nor a racist but in fact a liberal in every sense of the word and most importantly, in the true ‘Jeffersonian’ sense of it. Once men of this caliber begin to risk their public profile with opinions which are unfashionable, it is safe to say we have a very real crisis on our collective hands.

Worthwhile lecture on strategy for the anti jihad.

Here, at a conference in Malmo Sweden, a British fellow, ‘Alan Lake’ speaks some really important and interesting insights on how to deal with the issue of Islam in the west with our fellow citizens. He offers some things perhaps most of us know but quite a few we may not. Things ranging from not bothering to argue Koran or Islam with people. It is a loosing game and a waste of time.

On this I agree and for the reasons he states as well as for a few he does not. Once you begin to argue the rules of someones imaginary cosmology of which they are the wearer of the official funny hat, you have to lose even if you win. Robert Spencer is an excellent example of this. He knows Koran etc. Better than many imams. This will change no one’s mind who is Muslim, and precious few who are not, yet who imagine Islam to be another benign form of quaint or charming noble-savage sort of cultural practice.

To the Muslim, Spencer will remain a Jew, even though he is not, or at best a Kufar.

Once you agree to argue a cosmology based on magic and superstition with someone who is a purveyor of it, you lose. This applies to any non rational cosmology. So best left alone.

This is just one early point in this insightful and worthwhile lecture. Please do take the time to listen to it. I felt it was very helpful if for no other reason, he does warn against burning out, as well as many other important and interesting observations about this fight and its likely consequences.

Attacks on homosexuals and the disabled in Germany

I’ve written previously about violent cultural enrichers who attacked a mentally retarded person, and also a group that assaulted a disabled person in a wheelchair. These are not isolated incidents, but part of a general pattern.

Muslim immigrants bring with them a tribal background, and their offspring often become predators who hunt in packs. Like lions picking off the aged or ailing stragglers in a zebra herd, they select the weakest and most easily defeated targets among the infidels. Non-Muslims are held in contempt — they are perceived as having no common humanity. To the “youths” they are simply resources there for the taking, to be exploited when the opportunity arises.

Beating Attack on Law Student

First they kicked him to the ground, and then they just kept on kicking him in the head over and over again.

In the middle of Hamburg, the severely handicapped American exchange student Joshua S. (28) was almost beaten to death. Motive: They assumed he was gay.

Sunday morning at around 1.40 AM: Joshua S was out on the town with a friend, Neville (22), an exchange student from South Africa. They had been out partying and wanted to go home. They share an apartment in the Osterstrasse. Joshua S. was born in Texas, studied law in New York, and is now finishing his degree at the elite university Bucerius Law School in Hamburg.

They passed over Hansaplatz and through Zimmerpforte. Four muscular youths were sitting in an entrance. “They were around fifteen years old, southerners [a euphemism for cultural enrichers, often Turks]” Joshua recalls. All of a sudden the harassment began. “Eh, are you gay or what? F***ing faggots!” The two friends aren’t fluent in German, and did what they were supposed to do in that type of situation. They walked quietly away without looking at the youths.

But to no avail. “Suddenly someone kicks me in the back,” Joshua recalls. Then things started to happen really fast. He fell to the ground. The attackers kept on kicking him in the head over and over again. “I told them to stop,” but they didn’t stop.

Neville ran down Kirchenweg to get help. But Joshua could not escape. One side of his body is paralysed after an accident in the New York subway four years ago. He hobbles. He has a titanium disc under the skin of his skull. “It probably saved him from some injuries,” his girlfriend Anna-Sophie B. assumes. “The perpetrators obviously saw that he had a walking disability, but attacked him anyway.”

As the attackers kept on kicking him, he began to pray out loud, in German. “I hoped that it would make them leave me alone.” Wrong: It wasn’t until Neville returned, accompanied by a third person, that they took off. After stealing Joshua’s iPod, that is. Joshua was brought to the AK St. George hospital severely injured. His right eye is so swollen that he can’t see out of it.

The police are searching for witnesses. Anyone who saw this brutal assault should make a report to Polizeikommisariat 11 (Steindamm 82, tel. 428651110).

Bruce Bawer: Ottawa Sept. 14th speech and Q&A

After literally days of editing uploading file size changing and developing cool logos for everyone with some new software I bought, I finally have the Q&A session from the night with Bruce Bawer online for all too see.

I think the interaction of the panel, of David Harris, Terry Glavin, Bruce Bawer, and Marc Lebuis is well worth the time to watch. All of these men come from quite diverse backgrounds and interests politically but have one very strong thing in common. The threat Islam poses to secular liberal democracy.

Bruce Bawer in Ottawa, a review

The Freethinking Film Society, a Canadian organization committed to providing the nation’s capital with interesting conservative/libertarian films, played host last evening to the much anticipated appearance of journalist Bruce Bawer, author of Surrender-Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom at the National Library, Archives of Canada to an enthusiastic audience.

The evening opened with a thoughtful introduction of panel members by Fred Litwin of the Free Thinking Film Society, and his blog Gay and Right, and with another to Mr. Bawer from Marc Lebuis creator of Canada’s most influential French language, anti-Islamist blog Point de Bascule. Also in attendance was James Cohen, the Canadian vice-president of the International Free Press Society, a vitally important global group which defends the universal right of free expression and combats those who would threaten it. The speaking panel consisted of four members, all of which brought remarkable qualifications, specific areas of expertise and varying political partisanship– award winning journalist and author Terry Glavin; David B. Harris, former chief of strategic planning for CSIS and currently a Senior Fellow for terrorism/national security at the Canadian Coalition for Democracies; renowned author Bruce Bawer and Marc Lepuis. It was easily recognizable from the start that despite the differences in their political views, the most potent of  similarities between each of these men was a shared and cogent understanding of the very real and direct threat radical Islam presents to universal human values, and to the principle of individual freedoms.

I choose the words universal and human deliberately and carefully, as these terms reflected the basic undertone of the lecture. Each member thoughtfully reinforced the need to concentrate on the human face of this struggle, to reevaluate the usefulness of the popular concepts of left and right political partisanship we have so securely wrapped ourselves in and, to instead, abandon their usage and unite against those engaged in the furious pursuit to coerce and shift the world toward ‘Dar-al-Islam’. It is also important to understand that countless Muslims the world over do not subscribe to the prescription of submission handed them by the fascist elements that live among them. Many suffer greatly with some, bravely seeking  freedom from persecution and enslavement by this hateful and intolerant ideology. It is within this recognition the panel made clear, that we share the most common of ground, where all of us can stand united in direct and strong opposition to extremism.

Mr. Bawer illustrated effectively that we are living in the midst of a jihad most of us do not recognize. We have come to believe that the world suffers only from violent jihad; terrorist plots to murder fueled by an intense hatred of  western values by seventh century crackpots in suicide gear, self-imploding at the behest of foaming and slathering Imams in far away lands. While it is true that terror attacks happen with great frequency, a simultaneous but less spectacular attack is in motion. Far more dangerous than a street lined with bloodied body parts is the quiet jihad, the stealth jihad of the ‘polite’, bridge-building kind which is being played out in quiet neighborhoods, institutions and courtrooms across the western world. This type is patient, cunning and deceitful, culturally informed, well financed and legally savvy. Foolishly so, we are complicit in it’s advancement by both complacency and capitulation through our romantic attachment to such things as cultural-relativism, diversity projects, and multicultural policies. We have become dangerously vulnerable and as Mr. Bawer pointed out, they know it.

Islamists simply do not care which political office holds the power of the day as western legal codes are in and of themselves contrary to Islam. Left, right and the principle of democracy are man-made ‘illegal’ notions, a beyond-the-pale bastardization of the laws of Allah. These gross deeds can only be corrected by employing the scripture of the Quran as brought to the world by the prophet Muhammed in the form of sharia, the only law suitable for all of mankind.

Mr. Harris pointed to the increasing infiltration of the Islamist element seen increasingly in a vast array of institutions. Today in Canada as in western Europe, the political fascism of Islam has found a comfortable and protected footing among a variety of departments, banking institutions, political offices and inter-faith groups. His earnest call that we should insist upon the permanent crushing of section 13(1) of the HRC code received wide applause. Terry Glavin highlighted the moral bankruptcy of the feminist movement while in their staunch pursuit to defend the western woman, many routinely abandon the very same human needs asked of by an Afghan mother struggling against her male aggressors. Mr. Lepuis wondered why Imams in some Montreal mosques continue to stridently condemn Canada to a packed house of primarily second and third generation Muslims and why some honour killings are being committed at the hands of men who have been raised and educated in western nations. Each had cited circumstances clearly reflected in Bruce Bawer’s writing and each had reinforced truths found in Surrender.

Asked to review the speaking engagement given by Mr. Bawer and the accompanying guest panel, I entered the room like most other audience members. I left amazed and moved by three things:  the unflinching bravery of Mr. Bawer and his devotion to reach out to those of us who seek to understand the growing threat of radical Islam and the operation of stealth jihad; the unity, comradeship and professionalism in common purpose held by the panel members to work in tandem against radical Islam and, the realization that we are not defending western values as much as we are defending human and universal ones.

Thank you to Fred Litwin at The Free Thinking Film Society for bringing Mr. Bawer to Ottawa for such an important event. Thank you to Mr. Harris, Mr. Glavin and Mr. Lepuis for their thoughtful analysis, expertise and professionalism and to James Cohen of the International Free Press Society for his attendance. Most of all, thank you to Mr. Bruce Bawer for his courage in writing such a book of importance and necessity, one which helps us to understand the threat of jihad by way of  fundamentalist Islam.

Sitting on the floor, wearing traditional Islamic clothes and holding an old notebook, Abu Hamizi, 22, spends at least six hours a day searching internet chatrooms linked to gay websites. He is not looking for new friends, but for victims.

Hamizi, a computer science graduate, is at the cutting edge of a new wave of violence against gay men in Iraq. Made up of hardline extremists, Hamizi’s group and others like it are believed to be responsible for the deaths of more than 130 gay Iraqi men since the beginning of the year alone.

Dutch university fires Islamic scholar Ramadan

The Jerusalem Post… A Dutch university fired Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan on Tuesday for hosting a show on Iran’s state television, which the school said could be seen as endorsing the regime.

Ramadan – known as a reformist who condemns terrorism, seeks to modernize sharia law and urges Muslims living in Europe to integrate – has recently been criticized in the Dutch press for allegedly voicing more conservative views for Muslim audiences than he does in the West.

Both the City of Rotterdam and Erasmus University dismissed Ramadan from his positions as “integration adviser” and professor, saying his program “Islam & Life” airing on Iran’s Press TV is “irreconcilable” with his duties in Rotterdam.

Ramadan “continued to participate in this program even after the elections in Iran, when authorities there hard-handedly stifled the freedom of expression,” Rotterdam and the university said in a joint statement.
