Settlement Reached in Case of Praying Imams Removed From Flight

 FOXNEWS…Six imams who were removed from a US Airways flight in Minneapolis in 2006 have reached a tentative settlement of their discrimination lawsuit.The imams’ attorney, Omar Mohammedi, said Tuesday that all sides agreed to the settlement at a conference Monday. But he said the details still need to be finalized and the settlement needs to be approved by a federal judge.

Mohammedi declined to comment on the terms of the settlement but saids the six imams are satisfied with it.

An attorney for US Airways, Michael Lindberg, declined comment.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Airports Commission had no immediate information.

The six Muslim imams were removed from the Phoenix-bound flight after passengers reported what they considered suspicious behavior.

They sued the airline, saying that unnamed “John Doe” passengers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reported that they engaged in “suspicious” behavior — praying in the terminal — before they boarded the plane.

 

The lawsuit alleged that US Airways unlawfully removed the six imams from Flight 300 for discriminatory reasons based on race, religion, ethnicity, or other outside appearances.

The lawsuit said US Airways has “falsely claimed” the imams’ “suspicious” behavior, including saying “God is Great” in Arabic on the plane, talking about President Bush and Iraq and purchasing one-way tickets with cash. Passengers also reported that some of the imams asked for seat belt extenders and switched seats.

The suit says one of the imams was blind, and his friend asked another passenger if he would help him by switching seats. The passenger agreed, the suit alleged.

According to the lawsuit, the same imam regularly requests a seatbelt extension when flying.

According to the lawsuit, police arrived at the scene after receiving a call from the airline. The imams were forced off the plane, searched, handcuffed and held against their will for hours without explanation. The imams claim they were questioned by the FBI about where they were from, whether they did anything out of the ordinary in the airport and whether they wanted to do harm to the president of the United States.

An internal probe by US Airways found there was no racial profiling in the incident.

This morning the world was greeted by another chirpy ‘convert or die’ video by the UK’s own miniature Bin Laden, what the Brits might call, a ‘Mini-Laden’, or possibly, a ‘Laden Mini’.  I couldn’t help but notice that instead of the OBL black jihad flag, he used large green cloth this time to sit in front of. Typically in video editing, that is called a ‘Green Screen’ and is an easy way to take the foreground and move it to any other video setting you want. So I thought it best to move Anjem to a much more suitable environment for him and his psychotic ‘religion’.

Man arrested after mosque attack

As tensions between Muslims and Britons begin to flare I am afraid we will begin to see more tit for tat attacks in the future. This is a direct result of the British government using the long arm of the law to silence the public concern over the Islamization of the U.K.

BBCNEWS…A 53-year-old man has been arrested after petrol was thrown at the doorway of a mosque in Wearside.

The petrol was not ignited and did not set fire at the mosque in Chester Road, Sunderland.

The building was empty and no-one was hurt in the incident, which happened in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police investigations include viewing CCTV footage, forensic analysis and DNA testing. Extra officers are patrolling to address residents’ concerns.

Iraq sends back UK asylum flight

BBCNEWS…Iraqi asylum seekers sent back to Baghdad by the UK government have been refused re-entry to their homeland, and flown back to Britain.

The flight, carrying about 40 asylum seekers, landed in Baghdad on Thursday. Ten were admitted but the rest were turned away and have now arrived back.

Human rights group Refugee and Migrant Justice said this was “unprecedented”.

The Home Office said it was working with the Iraqi government to iron out issues that caused some to be returned.

The reason for their return, it said, was a matter for the Iraqi authorities.

It is understood that about 80 escorts were also aboard the government-chartered flight.

The asylum seekers are now at Brook House detention centre near Gatwick airport where they are being given legal advice, according to a Refugee and Migrant Justice spokeswoman.

She said: “One would have expected with such a high profile remove, the Home Office would have sorted this out with the Iraqi authorities.

“For such a high profile group to be returned is unprecedented.”

Wilders receives Islamic welcome in UK

Geert-Wilders-04_629791a TIMESONLINE…A far-right Dutch politician who was turned away from Britain after criticising the Koran as a ‘fascist book’ was today forced to hastily change the location of a scheduled press conference in London in the interests of his own security.

Geert Wilders, who is head of the Freedom Party, flew into Heathrow airport this morning after winning a court battle to enter the country.

Mr Wilders had been due to host a press conference on College Green, opposite the Palace of Westminster, at noon.

However, about thirty male activists from a group called Islam for UK began chanting: “Wilders burn in hell” and “Sharia for UK”.

Brandishing banners saying, “Sharia is the solution, freedom go to hell” and “Geert Wilders deserves Islamic punishment”, the protesters were held back by about fifty policemen.

Mr Wilders was advised not to confront or walk past the protesters and instead to hold his press conference in the nearby Abbey Gardens building used by members of the House of Lords.

Mr Wilders told journalists that he lived under constant security because of his views. Explaining his controversial views on Islam, he said: “I have a problem with the Islamic ideology, the Islamic culture, because I feel that the more Islam that we get in our societies the less freedom that we get.” Continue Reading →

Five men convicted of terror plot in Australia’s longest trial

A court in Australia has found five men guilty of stockpiling bomb-making instructions and purchasing explosive chemicals as part of a plot to carry out a terrorist attack, bringing an end to one of the country’s longest running trials.

The jury deliberated for a month before finding the men guilty of conspiring to commit acts in preparation for a terrorist attack. Each face a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Abdul Hasan, Khaled Cheikho, Mohamed Elomar, Mohammed Jamal and Moustafa Cheikho have been in custody for nearly four years after they were arrested during raids on their homes in south-west Sydney in 2005.

During the 10-month trial, which started in November after eight months of pre-trial hearings, prosecutor Richard Maidment told the jury in the New South Wales Supreme Court that the men planned to use explosive devices or firearms to commit “extreme violence” in a bid to force Australia’s government to change its policy on Middle East conflicts. The target of the attack has never been released.

The Crown argued the men were stockpiling chemicals, firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition. It said they were influenced by the teachings of the Mujahadeen: “You kill us, we kill you … you bomb us, so we bomb you”.

Prosecutors said three of the men had taken part in paramilitary-style camps in far western New South Wales to prepare for an attack. The defence claimed the men were just camping.

The jury was also told that one of the accused, Moustafa Cheikho, had attended a paramilitary training camp in Pakistan run by the terrorist organisation, Lashkar-e-Toiba, but a key FBI witness told the court he could not be sure it was the man.

The jury heard from 300 witnesses, examined 3,000 exhibits, watched 30 days of surveillance tapes and listened to 18 hours of phone intercepts. However, no direct evidence was ever shown to the jury to link the accused men to the plot or the supposed target of the terrorist act and the proescution admitted the evidence was circumstantial.

Despite this, the jury was convinced that there was sufficient proof that the men were involved in a conspiracy to prepare for a terrorist act that according to authorities, was intended to create “maximum damage”.

The trial took place in a specially-built high-security court building in Sydney’s west.

There, the verdict was greeted with anger by supporters of the men. The group of supporters started shouting their protest as they watched the ruling being handed down on a screen outside the court.

Islamism Must Carry a Price

Islamists are sworn to make war on the West, to drive out freedom and democracy, replacing them with the mandated tyranny of Islamic law.They declare all laws and all nations that do not originate or abide by Islamic law to be invalid. And they reserve the right to make war on them by any means necessary, from the political to the economic to the terroristic.

And yet it might surprise many people to realize that most Islamists are not haggard fanatics living off dried goat meat in caves. Instead many of them are doctors and lawyers working in major American and European cities, they serve as advisors to Western politicians and write newspaper columns. Their organizations are treated with respect and given veto power over the policies of governments whose existence they reject.

And that in a nutshell is the trouble of it all. Because Islamism should carry a price, instead it only carries rewards. Islamists in Europe and America do not actually have to be isolated hermits working out of a few ghettos. Instead they are able to gain all the benefits of the West, from advanced degrees to high paying jobs to political recognition, while maintaining their hatred for the West. Continue Reading →

Muslims to demand Sharia law in Britain

134080_1 The dhimmi British government is about to realize the dangers of giving concessions to Muslims. With 85 Sharia courts already in Britain and many more suspected a Muslim web site Islam4uk is calling on Muslims to use this time of economic turmoil in the U.K. as an opportunity to demand Sharia replace existing British laws and government.

In light of all this, Islam4UK would like to declare the launch of a spectacular procession that will take place on 31st October 2009.

We hereby request all Muslims in the United Kingdom, in Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow and all other places to join us and collectively declare that as submitters to Almighty Allah (SWT), we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture. Where will the procession take place?

First Stop:  House of Commons

The primary source of polytheistic legislation in Britain, the House of Commons is at the centre of Britain’s oppressive law making policies; from here fallible men and women decide what should be legal and illegal. It is from this very place where the lives of millions of people in the UK are changed and it is from here where unjust wars are launched.

Second Stop: 10 Downing Street

Almost 300 years old, 10 Downing Street is the official residence of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Gordon Brown, the current Prime Minister, is one of the chief figures in making laws and regulating the affairs of society. In the last few years, he has undoubtedly brought Britain down to an all new low and appears to be truly blind to the damaging impact of his oppressive bureaucracy.

After demanding the abolishment of the House of Commons Muslims will then march to 10 Downing Street, and call for the removal of the tyrant Gordon Brown from power.

Third Stop: Trafalgar Square

A site of significant historical value, Muslims will gather even more support from tourists and members of the public, making clear in the heart of London the need for Shari’ah in society.

It will be here where the march will culminate and finish and we hope that with the help of Allah (SWT) it will be very successful.

The site also says it has plans for British landmarks and statues that Muslims find offencive. They claim the destruction of said monuments would happen within 24 hours of the implementation of Sharia.

As the British people were disarmed by thier government years ago, a boat load of guns would seems an appropriate Christmas present from the colonies.

Banned Dutch MP plans UK journey

_45471560_wilders_hrow_pa BBC NEWS… Far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders plans to visit the UK on Friday after successfully appealing against the Home Office’s ban.

The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal ruling overturned a government decision that led to Mr Wilders being turned back at Heathrow in February.

He will not be showing his controversial film Fitna on this visit but plans to return to show it later.

The Home Office said it would decide in “due course” whether to appeal.

If it does appeal it would need the permission of the Court of Appeal to keep the travel ban in place pending the hearing.

Speaking on the Victoria Derbyshire show on Radio 5 live, Mr Wilders said he was invited to the House of Lords by Lord Pearson to organise the showing of his film at a later date.

“It’s a short visit, not to show Fitna or have a debate, we will have that later,” he said.

“Inter-faith violence”

What a joke. The home office is afraid Muslims will go nuts and burn and loot the way they always do. They are afraid of Muslim and UAF violence and nothing else. They were afraid thier Muslim friends might prove Mr. Wilders correct in his opinion of Mo’s Minions.  If indigenous Britons were as prone to violence as Muslims then the video of 150 year old Christian graves being bulldozed by Muslims should have led to riots and bloodshed. Not that British media reported it but the video is on more than one you tube site.

He said he wanted to come to the UK to debate the issue with people who both agreed and disagreed with him.

“I believe it was a good day yesterday for the freedom of speech. I believe the decision of the UK government was political, it was not based on law,” he said.

“Never – and I have been to many countries and had this debate – has anything violent happened. And I’m a democratic politician and I only use democratic means like speeches. This is the way it works in civil society.

Following the tribunal’s decision, a Home Office spokesman said: “We are disappointed by the court’s decision. The government opposes extremism in all its forms.

“The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence. We still maintain this view.”

EDL comments on Manchester anti exremist Islam protest

English Defence League Protest in Manchester on the 10th October 2009

Firstly, we would like to thank the Greater Manchester Police, and any others involved in policing the demonstrations in the city centre this past Saturday. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to ensure that both our protest and the counter-protest by the UAF passed peacefully, which was our desire as well as theirs. We do have concerns about the way in which large numbers of our supporters were kept from assembling with the main body in Piccadilly Gardens, a restriction that does not seem to have been applied with equal rigour to the counter-demonstrators, but on the whole we applaud the GMT for their professionalism and their willingness to ensure that we were allowed to peacefully demonstrate despite intimidation from the UAF and others who would prefer that no one but themselves have freedom of speech.

We were permitted to stage our demonstration much earlier than our planned 5pm start, and despite provocation and noise from the UAF during our two minute silence, we did not allow it to derail us and went ahead with honouring the fallen, whom the UAF so callously disrespected. As we stated at the time, the silence was to remember all British soldiers who have died in wars past and present to defend our freedoms, and also to remember the victims of the terrorists who would take those freedoms away. We were disgusted, as were thousands of onlookers, by the din which a UAF organiser with a megaphone made during this silence. We then sung our National Anthem, and because of the early start, were able to conclude early as well, having fulfilled our goals for the day. Despite repeated UAF attempts to break through the police line, which resulted in the arrests of several troublemakers, we are happy to report that they did not “run us out of town” as they had planned.

 We are very pleased with the turnout for the demonstration, and we would like to thank all our members and supporters who attended in Manchester, even those who were prevented from getting through to Piccadilly Gardens, as well as those who were not able to be there but whose donations contributed to the effort. In Manchester we were able to demonstrate, despite the best efforts of the media to downplay the significance of what took place, that there are thousands of people who are prepared to stand up and say that Islamic extremism has no place in Britain, and that British values are something of which to be proud, not ashamed. We can confirm that we had in excess of 1,500 active participants in the City, in Piccadilly Gardens and scattered around the city centre, and the support we received from people of all races who applauded us as we walked by was extraordinarily encouraging. Worthwhile lecture on strategy for the anti jihad.

Here, at a conference in Malmo Sweden, a British fellow, ‘Alan Lake’ speaks some really important and interesting insights on how to deal with the issue of Islam in the west with our fellow citizens. He offers some things perhaps most of us know but quite a few we may not. Things ranging from not bothering to argue Koran or Islam with people. It is a loosing game and a waste of time.

On this I agree and for the reasons he states as well as for a few he does not. Once you begin to argue the rules of someones imaginary cosmology of which they are the wearer of the official funny hat, you have to lose even if you win. Robert Spencer is an excellent example of this. He knows Koran etc. Better than many imams. This will change no one’s mind who is Muslim, and precious few who are not, yet who imagine Islam to be another benign form of quaint or charming noble-savage sort of cultural practice.

To the Muslim, Spencer will remain a Jew, even though he is not, or at best a Kufar.

Once you agree to argue a cosmology based on magic and superstition with someone who is a purveyor of it, you lose. This applies to any non rational cosmology. So best left alone.

This is just one early point in this insightful and worthwhile lecture. Please do take the time to listen to it. I felt it was very helpful if for no other reason, he does warn against burning out, as well as many other important and interesting observations about this fight and its likely consequences.

Ottawa’s refusal to take Gitmo inmates irks U.S.

White House puzzled by Canada’s abrupt refusal to accept detainees from Guantanamo prison

Flag-Sticker Toronto Star…GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA–An apparent snub by the Canadian government has dismayed officials on the Obama administration’s task force who are working to resettle dozens of detainees here and close the prison, a high-ranking administration source told the Star.

Various foreign governments have offered refuge to prisoners that the Pentagon has cleared for release, including France, Portugal, Ireland and smaller nations such as Bermuda and Palau. Dozens more are now negotiating with the task force, answering U.S. President Barack Obama’s call for help.

But the official, who has intimate knowledge of the negotiations and who spoke to the Star on the condition he not be named, said Canada abruptly stopped talks earlier this year. He said the task force was surprised to learn of Canada’s decision through a press release.

“I just found it puzzling,” there were no phone calls or diplomatic meetings, the official said. “A public rejection was odd.” Continue Reading →
