Clare Lopez returns to Nick Vandergragt’s show Jan 23rd 2011

This was quite good. The calls and the information were all very good. For me, the most interesting call was the fellow who was being ethnically cleansed from his own neighbourhood and was having a very hard time admitting to himself his own experience.

ALL OF FRANCE’S PANDERING TO THE FAKESTINIANS DOESN’T PAY OFF: FM PELTED WITH SHOES AND EGGS

The French foreign minister has been mobbed by Palestinian protesters

A crowd of Palestinian protesters attacked the car of French Foreign Minister, Michele Alliot-Marie, with shoes and eggs as she toured through the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of protesters, relatives of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons, were waiting for French foreign minister Alliot-Marie as she crossed from Israel into Gaza through the Erez Crossing, jumping on her vehicle.

Palestinians were protesting because they mistakenly believed she had called the capture of an Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit a “war crime”.

The remark had actually been made by the soldier’s father, Noam Schalit, when he met Michele Alliot-Marie a day earlier.

Schalit, an Israeli-French dual national, was captured in a 2006 cross-border raid by militants with ties to Hamas. France has repeatedly called for his release.

Part 2 of the interview with Australian glass artist, Sergio Redegalli

This is part two of my interview over Skype of Sergio, who was at that time, holed up in his workshop waiting for the promised, firebombing of his building by leftists who didn’t like his mural against the Burka. Sorry it took me so long to get to this. The events at the National Archives, a very similar problem actually, held my attention for several days.

Mr Mamoon received burns to his face and hands, but his eyes were partially protected by his glasses.

The well-known reporter has blamed Iran for the attack.

Mr Mamoon has written a book accusing the Iranian government of sabotage and interference in Afghanistan.

But he has also been critical of ethnic Pashtuns in the past.

Afghan president Hamid Karzai has condemned the assault.

Iranian in Germany stabs 3 people when asked why he had a sign saying, “Germans are dogs”

Oh multiculturalism. All those fantastic restaurants. I think we would have all starved to death now if it wasn’t for millions of Muslims collecting welfare, blowing up stuff and preaching jihad.

Egyptian Policeman Shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ Before Shooting Six Christians

(AINA) — Six Copts were shot by an off-duty policeman on a train between Assiut and Cairo on Tuesday. One Copt was killed and five remain in critical condition. The gunman, identified as Amer Ashour Abdel-Zaher, was on his way to work in Beni Mazar police station when he boarded the train at approximately 17.00 hours in the town of Samalout in Egypt’s Minya province, roughly 260 km south of Cairo. He shot the six Copts after chanting “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is Great) then attempted to flee but was apprehended by passengers.

Fathy Ghattas, a 71-year-old Coptic Christian, died immediately. His wife Emily Hanna underwent an operation to remove her left kidney and spleen. She is in intensive care. Another Coptic woman, Sabah Saniod, 54, underwent an operation on her liver. Three of the injured Copts, Marianne, Maggie and Ashraf, were flown by helicopter to Kasr-el-Aina teaching hospital in Cairo for further treatment.

The communique issued by the Egyptian interior Mministry said the gunman shot randomly at the train passengers, while according to the Egyptian newspaper al-Masry al-Youm the assailant had checked passengers for the green cross traditionally tattooed on the wrists of Coptic Christians in Egypt. After identifying several Copts, the gunman shot at them.

The Ministry of Interior later said that the assailant was “mentally unstable” and had been undergoing medical treatment for some time. The Governor of Minya denied any sectarian motives behind the incident and said that the assailant is unstable and shot indiscriminately at passengers.

The Coptic Diocese of Minya said that the perpetrator went up and down the train compartment before shooting at the Copts while chanting Islamic chants.

Dr.Naguib Ghabrial, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organizations, described the incident as a premeditated “sectarian” attack, aimed at the Copts, since they sat together and sang Christian hymns, and the assailant shouted Allahu Akbar three times before shooting.

Ghabrial criticized the Interior Ministry for downplaying the shooting as usual. “The gunman did not shoot at random, otherwise Muslims would have been wounded as well,” Ghabrial told BBC Arabic TV. “This is one in the series of attacks aimed at Copts, before this there was the Alexandria Massacre.”

“I am sorry that the Ministry hastily issued a statement that the assailant was mentally unstable.” Said Ghabrial. ” Would someone who is mentally unstable be issued with a weapon and ammunition, would he be able to differentiate between Copts and Muslims?” he said. “I am telling the Interior Minister do not under-estimate Coptic intelligence and do not undervalue Coptic blood, for Coptic blood is not cheap.” He called once again for the minister to resign after all these Coptic Massacres. Canada: Drop the gloves with the UAE.

Drop the gloves with UAE

BY COLIN KENNY, CITIZEN SPECIAL

The United Arab Emirates is acting like a pompous thug that thinks Canada needs it. We don’t, Colin Kenny writes.

Photograph by CNW Group/Emirates Air

The United Arab Emirates has gone into a princely snit over our refusal to grant it more landing rights in Canada for its airline, and has decided it can bully us into changing our minds. I suggest that we push back, firmly, because the UAE has not realized that Canada has options, too.

Why does the UAE so desperately want more landing rights? Because it has bought a lot of big fat aircraft as part of its decade-long, oil-fuelled spending spree, and needs to fill seats by moving North Americans through Dubai to the Middle East and Asia.

When the Canadian government refused, the UAE proceeded to: a) kick Canada out of our staging base for Afghanistan that was located on UAE soil; b) refuse our minister of national defence and our chief of the defence staff permission to fly through its airspace after they were in the air; and c) introduced the need for expensive visas for any Canadian wishing to visit their country.

Here’s what I think we should consider in response: a) void the landing rights UAE airlines already have; b) forbid them to fly in Canadian air space; c) slow down the processing of visas for anyone from the UAE who wants to visit Canada; and d) tell them to convince us that nobody connected to any of the Emirates’ royal families is supporting antiwestern terrorist activities.

Why would I want to drop the gloves in dealing with the UAE? Because I think they’re essentially a bunch of pompous thugs behaving like Canadians need them. We don’t, and somebody should show them they can’t treat us like the second-class citizens they hire to do virtually all the work in their seven fiefdoms. Continue Reading →

ISLAMABAD: The killer of Punjab Gov. Salman Taseer was showered with rose petals by lawyers when he was presented Wednesday before District and Sessions Judge Malik Naeem Shaukat by police. The court gave Islamabad police remand of Malik Mumtaz Qadri for a day.

Qadri was brought to court in an armored car. A rowdy crowd slapped him on the back and kissed him as he was escorted inside the court. The lawyers who tossed the rose petals were not involved in the case.

As he left the court, a crowd of about 200 sympathizers raised slogans in his favor.

Earlier, more than 500 preachers and scholars from the Jamat Ahle Sunnat group said no one should pray or express regret for the killing of the governor. The group representing Pakistan’s majority Barelvi sect also issued a veiled threat to other opponents of the blasphemy laws.

“The supporter is as guilty as one who committed blasphemy,” the group warned in a statement, adding politicians, the media and others should learn “a lesson from the exemplary death.” Jamat leader Maulana Shah Turabul Haq Qadri paid “glorious tribute to the murderer … for his courage, bravery and religious honor and integrity.” Continue Reading →
