Diplomat attacked with döner knives

‘But think of all the great restaurants!’ Multiculturalism shows its wonders in Germany.

From The Local.De

A high-ranking German diplomat in the Turkish capital Ankara has reportedly been attacked by three men wielding döner kebab knives following a traffic altercation.

The man was driving home with his wife in a car with diplomatic plates on the evening of December 27 when he flashed his headlights at another vehicle for driving recklessly, according to local media reports.

The driver of the other car then began to follow the diplomat and cut him off at a petrol station. At that point, the German got out of his car and started calling for help just before three men attacked him with the long, serrated knives used to slice the popular Turkish snack döner kebab from spits of rotating meat.

The diplomat, who suffered wounds on his stomach and right leg, was taken to the hospital after the attack. The German embassy reported on Tuesday that the victim was now in a stable condition.

The döner knife assailants have since been arrested and are being held on remand for gross bodily harm. The police do not at the moment suspect a political motive in the attack.

Turkish daily Hürriyet reported the diplomat, who was visited by officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry and a member of the country’s Constitutional Court, did not blame Turkey for the incident.

Allahu akbar, rose petals and blasphemy; scholars threaten those who would mourn slain governor.

Pakistan scholars warn against mourning slain governor

ISLAMABAD – Five hundred Pakistani religious scholars have warned that anyone who expresses grief over the assassination of a senior ruling party official who opposed the country’s blasphemy law could suffer the same fate.

Salman Taseer, a liberal politician close to President Asif Ali Zardari, had no day-to-day role in the central government. But his killing in broad daylight at a shopping centre in Islamabad reinforces the sense that the government is incapable of stabilizing the Muslim country of 170 million.

The Punjab province governor was killed on Tuesday by one of his guards, who was apparently incensed by the politician’s opposition to the blasphemy law, in a parking lot at the block of shops popular with foreigners.

The scholars also noted the “courage” and religious zeal of the killer, saying his action has made Muslims around the world proud. Continue Reading →

The attack on the Coptic church in Alexandria last night:

Here are two important clips. One, from Al Jazeera English, which tends to be far more charitable to the truth than its Arabic sister station, and a CTV clip which has a short segment of Egypt’s reaction to the attack.

Below that, the documentary I recommend in the clip. For anyone who has not seen the Dispatches documentary on Egypt’s rubbish people, now is a good time to watch it. It gives stark perspective on the relative rights of Christians in Egypt Vs. Muslims. I doubt many people in the Western world can believe a group can still be treated this way, although with growing awareness of Islam and it’s ‘values’ perhaps that number is shrinking.

Dec 10 2010 More Muslims take over more Paris streets.

The Tundra Tabloids updates this post by Vlad:

UPDATE: Here is the map where the Muslims are praying in the street along the length of the Poissonnier.

Rue Polonceau with the mosque on the right side

Looking up the Poissonnier with the mosque on the right

Looking down the Poissonnier in the opposite direction

NOTE: This latter part of the street where they were (and are still) praying faces closer to Mecca than the rest, with the middle to latter end completely off. This is all in the same vicinity of the Myrha street praying. The TT didn’t really understand the magnitude of the area being taken over by these Muslims, it extends a major portion of the latter end of the poissonier street. It’s no wonder why they’re now incorporating the use of loud speakers, the size of the take over has increased.

Christmas in Bethlehem: the cross banished from souvenirs

Two greatest lies of all time.

1. Islam is the religion of peace

2. In Islam, there is no compulsion in religion

From Asia News:

For fear of Islamic fundamentalism, textile workshops in Hebron and Jerusalem, produce and sell T-shirts and other items depicting the Church of the Nativity without the cross. Discrimination and economic crisis are forcing Christians to flee from the Palestinian territories and Israel. The risk is to see a future without Christians in the Holy Land. Interview with Samir Qumsieh, director of the Catholic television station Al-Mahed Nativity TV in Bethlehem.

Bethlehem (AsiaNews) – This Christmas in Bethlehem, the cross has been banned from souvenirs for tourists and pilgrims in the Holy Land. Some textile workshops in Jerusalem and Hebron have begun to print and sell T-shirts depicting the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem without the cross. Because of the growth of Islamic fundamentalism in the Palestinian territories, the cross was also removed from t-shirts of football teams. Interviewed by AsiaNews, Samir Qumsieh, journalist and director of the Catholic television station Al-Mahed Nativity TV in Bethlehem, said: “I want to launch a campaign to urge people not to buy these products – he says – because the removal of the cross is an intimidation against Christians, it is like saying that Jesus was never crucified. ”

Like every year, thousands including authorities, faithful and tourists from all over the world crowd, the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem for midnight mass on the night of 24 December. It will be celebrated by the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and will be attended by the highest offices of the Palestinian Authority. Continue Reading →

A contrast on 2 book burnings.

The important French web site, Bivouac, made an important observation. One Florida pastor, a certain Pastor Terry Jones, received massive MSM condemnation from media in the USA and abroad, most notably in the UK, for planning to burn copies of the Koran which were his personal property. He wished to do this as a statement about how Muslims treat Christians and other non Muslims around the world, and demand to build Mosques in the US right where thousands of unsuspecting American civilians were slaughtered at work by Muslims in the name of Islam. Agree with him or not, the media attention he received was not flattering and was copious.

Contrast that with this story:

Islamic Militants Destroy Underground Christian Library in Somalia

In the above story, the Christian books were not the property of Al Shabaab. They were forcibly taken (Stolen is not a strong enough term) and burned en masse in the city centre to make a very strong statement about how any religion other than Islam will not be tolerated. Yet the mainstream media is deadly silent. One has to get this from essentially underground Christian press, which seems to be the last bastion of freedom of speech and accurate reporting left on Earth.

Terrorism in Australia funded by Oz welfare.

By the way, in the book, ‘Pain, Pleasure and Prejudice,’ the reference to ‘The first drop of blood spilled fighting the unbelievers will forgive all your sins and guarantee you a place in paradise’ is explained in detail. This is not a random teaching of this cleric, as this clip implies, it is central dogma of Islam.

Sudan investigates case of woman seen being flogged on YouTube clip

Footage sparks international condemnation as police laugh and joke as they administer whipping to screaming woman

  • Screengrab from a YouTube clip of a woman being lashed in a carpark by police in Sudan. Screengrab from a YouTube clip of a woman being lashed in a carpark by police in Sudan.Sudan‘s judiciary has launched an investigation into the public flogging of a woman after footage of her being whipped by laughing policemen was posted to the internet.

The YouTube video shows an unidentified woman in a long black dress and a headscarf being ordered to sit down in a parking lot (Warning: Video contains graphic images of violence some may find disturbing).

A uniformed policeman proceeds to whip her all over her body as she screams in pain. A second officer laughs when he realises he is being filmed, before joining in the punishment, which lasts a minute and a half.

Flogging is relatively common is northern Sudan, where sharia law is often enforced arbitrarily. But the cruel, nonchalant behaviour of the security forces amid the distress of the victim in this case caused a stir in the country and the diaspora, and even attracted condemnation in some pro-government newspapers.

Initially Sudan’s deputy police chief, Adel Al-Agib, tried to downplay the incident, saying that the footage was circulated in order to damage the image of the country, according to the Sudan Tribune newspaper.

But the judicial authority, which oversees the legal system, released a statement yesterday saying it had launched an official inquiry to see if the punishment had been administered improperly.

“The investigation was started immediately after the images of the young woman, being punished under Articles 154 and 155 of the 1991 Sudanese penal code, appeared on the internet,” the judiciary said in a statement, according to state media.

These articles allow up to 100 lashes for adultery and running a brothel, in addition to a jail sentence. In this case the woman’s alleged crime is not known, although comments on social media sites suggest it could have been the wearing of trousers, which has in the past been judged to violate a law governing “indecent or immoral dress”.
