First here is a report from a left leaning Scandinavian paper on rape in Norway. Typically, this paper did not report facts and likely mocked and scorned those who did. However facts have a way of changing minds. Or perhaps the editor has a daughter or wife. In any case go over to Gates and read it. I will paste a sample below.
The Observer sends the following translation of an article about the latest rape statistics in Norway, which — surprise — turn out to be significantly culturally enriched.

First, a note from the translator:

This article is from town of Stavanger on the western coast of Norway. It concerns the big increase in rapes and attempted rapes in the city, and the fact that non-Westerners are behind almost all of these rapes.

The editors of the local rag, Stavanger-Aftenbladet — which by the way is an outlet for politically correct journalism — have realized at last that it’s no use trying to hide the facts in these cases anymore, and they have finally published a very politically incorrect article about the matter.

And why not? Anybody in the city with half a brain knows that the perpetrators are non-Western males.

It’s funny — when I was young, women could walk around freely in Stavanger at any hour of the day without having to fear for their own safety. Back then there were hardly any non-Westerners in the city. I was probably 13 or 14 before I ever saw a black person. Now there is a big immigrant community in the city, and crime rates have gone through the roof.

The city’s taxi union boss was handed a year in jail Tuesday for what a judge deemed an “honour crime.”

Yusef Salam Al Mezel, 44, had pleaded guilty to criminally harassing his 23-year-old daughter, Eman, over three weeks in July 2007.

“Mr. Al Mezel has threatened his daughter with serious violence and has caused her to fear for her safety in the name of honour,” Judge Lynn Ratushny wrote. “He has committed the crime of harassment against her in the name of honour.”

Al Mezel admitted to pushing his daughter, threatening to break her legs and kill her and smashing her computer. When she fled marriage to a Syrian man for a $9,000 dowry, he stalked her to a shelter and a friend’s home.

He sent her e-mails threatening her uncles and cousins would go “crazy” over the family’s honour and to come home before someone got hurt.

Police spirited the young woman — and the family sheltering her — out of Ottawa.

There’s no evidence Al Mezel would have killed her but his threats “invoke a seriously dangerous belief system that can and has led to violence against women,” Ratushny wrote.

The judge noted that Al Mezel, who came from Kuwait 20 years ago, is a community leader — a founder of his mosque, city council candidate and representative of 1,500 taxi drivers.

But she wrote that a year is the minimum to denounce what he’s done and deter others.

The Crown had asked for up to two years.

Eman Al Mezel testified she’d stained the family “sharaf” by running away and shedding the hijab and killing her was the only way to clean it.

Al Mezel’s other daughters testified that their father was never violent and is a religious “modernist.” His brothers testified the family are “lefties” and believe men and women are equals.

Al Mezel himself said that listening to expert evidence on honour crimes was like hearing about a “different world” — he’d never, he said, lived in that world or held those beliefs.

Al Mezel’s lawyer, Geraldine Castle-Trudel, argued at sentencing that Al Mezel was a desperate father who wanted to bring his daughter home and the victim of anti-Muslim stereotypes. She’d sought probation.

“My heart breaks for him and his family,” she said Tuesday. “He’s a really, really decent person who made a very bad mistake.”

A Canadian solution to gender inequality in Islam.

I have read and posted countless stories dealing with Islam, its dress codes for women, it’s demand for the right to remove the right for women to decide what they can wear and it’s utter and very un-Canadian gender inequality. Remember, I write from Ottawa, the Capital of Canada where women in fact sort of won the right to go topless outdoors in public as men sort of have that right as well. I say sort of, because it wasn’t long after Ottawa City Council voted to give Ottawa women the ‘right’ to bare breasts when an Ottawa Football team started having ‘Mardis Gras’ nights and men were giving strands of beads to women for showing their stuff. Of course, that same city council banned that on the grounds that it was ‘exploiting women’.  So in Ottawa, women have the right to go topless, unless they do, then they are being exploited, so they cannot.

However the Muslim community offers a special problem. They demand the right to remove the right for women to self determine what they can wear or how they are to be ‘exploited’. Hell Muslim women in Toronto even sued UPS for not being able to wear the long bathrobes at work as UPS demands pants for safety reasons as all employees there will from time to time find themselves on ladders.

Islam demands that only men may wear pants.

Well. I propose this very Canadian solution to the entire issue of gender and Islam.

Clearly gender inequality cannot be tolerated. This is Canada after all. And we do also know, that a full face covering that shields identity of women presents problems on everything from voting to presenting a bus pass, while Muslim men on the other hand, seem to think we all want to look at their faces.

Pants are more practical than bathrobes for both men and women, and women in the west fought for a decade or more for the right to wear pants and be accepted, this right being finally won by Mary Tyler Moore as she demonstrated five days a week on the Dick Van Dyke Show. (By the way, why is there no statue to Ms. Moore on Parliament Hill? Would make more sense than the one there now of Nellie McClung and her eugenics program) cbs_dickvandykeshow2

So I propose the following.

The perfect solution to Islam and gender inequality. A simple, elegant solution. All devout religious Muslims who wish to make their women dress according to the laws of sharia must also wear the same thing. Good for the goose right? Must also be good for the gander.

A one size fits all, practical solution which would allow the women to work at UPS, the men to know that their women are properly covered, a nice shield so that the men are also easily recognizable as devout Muslims in case we encounter them on a bus, train, airplane, military base, on a bycicle with large saddlebags etc. and can take proper defensive action, and although her face is covered, we can still actually identify the person with this suit on. I call it, the ‘Beerka.’

Why do we permit the translation as ‘marriage’?

As I have posted here before, the issue in front of western courts these days should not be one of polygamy, but of Muslim marriage itself.

If a group of people want to live together in any fashion at all, who are we to stop it? How do we stop it? Cameras under the bed sheets? Clearly there are legal implications to marriage that need to be examined, but well before we get there, the question needs to be asked, ‘Is marriage in Islam in any way related to the western concept of an adult man and adult women voluntarily entering into a contract where all parties are aware of, and consenting to, the arrangement and have more or less equal recourse to the law and an exit strategy.

Clearly in Islam, this is not remotely the case. Women under sharia law are property. All laws dealing with contractual arrangements having to do with women are property deals. Women may in some cases actually choose their own destiny in some Islamic nations but that would be a privilege. Very often, women are forced into marriage for money, or to settle a debt for a father etc. As these two excellent videos illustrate, the way women are viewed in islam simply has no parallel in western societies and the sharia arrangement where a woman is transferred from one man to another should under no circumstances be permitted to be translated as ‘marriage’.

These should be looked at, and treated in the west as we would slavery. pedophilia, prostitution of children, forced sex slavery etc. An examination of this is urgent. As it is now in western nations distinctly different legal standards are being applied to muslims and non muslims, a giant step towards the implementation of a two tier system making sharia, or muslim law, dominant and the rights of the dhimmi. or non muslims resident, as secondary.

“Hate Speech” Accusations at the OSCE Meeting

The OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting in Vienna wrapped up with yesterday’s sessions in Vienna. As I mentioned earlier, the meeting’s theme was “Gender equality, with a special focus on combating violence against women”.

The Counterjihad was represented at the meeting by the International Civil Liberties Alliance in association with Pax Europa, Mission Europa, and Wiener Akademikerbund.

Before the day was over, those four organizations had been accused of “hate speech” by certain of the other delegates for their presentations and recommendations.

But first things first. Here’s the official intervention and recommendation by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff of Pax Europa:

The presentations by various members of the Counterjihad groups were referred to as “hate speech” by some of the other participants. One of the Austrian representatives made this response (translated from the German):

Mothers grief a lie, a sham and an insult her murdered daughter.

 For ten years Hanim Goren lived with, ate with, slept with and lied with the man who she knew was responsible for her daughters murder. Even though she witnessed her daughter hog tied, she offered no protection. Even though her husband threatened to implicate Hanim in the murder of 17 year old Tulay she said nothing when any sane person would have been in touch with police way before this crime was committed.

 At the end of the day this will be another case of one cold blooded killer escaping justice for turning in other cold blooded killers. And the only reason this scum of a mum is cooperating is because she was threatened with prison.

  Here is the timesonline story as it unfolds in a British  court.

 A mother shouted across a courtroom yesterday to demand that her husband reveal what happened to the schoolgirl daughter he is alleged to have murdered in an “honour killing”.

Hanim Goren was giving evidence for the prosecution at the Old Bailey about how their 15-year-old daughter, Tulay, disappeared ten years ago.

The housewife turned to her husband, Mehmet Goren, who was sitting in the dock ten metres away, and shouted: “Look at my face. What did you do to Tulay? Say it so that I can . . .”

She added later: “It was Mehmet who disappeared Tulay. I am sure of that.”

Mr Goren, 45, is accused of murdering his daughter to protect his family honour after she ran away to live with a boyfriend twice her age. He is alleged to have buried her in the garden of the family home in Woodford Green, North London, before removing the body several days later.

Mrs Goren, 45, said that when she questioned her husband about Tulay’s disappearance he would reply: “I don’t know anything. Those who have done it are ‘over there’.”

“I don’t know who he meant,” she told the court.

Mrs Goren said she found that Tulay had disappeared when she returned home after being ordered to spend the night with the family of her brother-in-law, Cuma Goren, 42. She told the court that her husband said he had disowned their eldest daughter, that she had gone and that in future they would have only three children, not four.

“When Mehmet was in the house Tulay’s name was not mentioned,” Mrs Goren told the jury. “Everything that belonged to Tulay was torn — photos, even her Turkish identity card, her birth certificate. He said there will not be anything left inside belonging to Tulay.”

Mrs Goren said that she kept asking her husband what had happened to their daughter.

“I was saying to him, ‘You swallowed Tulay’. I was saying, ‘She is alive in your tummy’,” Mrs Goren said. “During the last few years I started saying it more.”

Mrs Goren said that a letter that appeared to have been written by Tulay was delivered to the family home the morning after her husband attacked her daughter’s boyfriend, Hilal Unal, with an axe. In the letter the girl claimed to be held captive by her lover’s boss.

Mrs Goren said that she did not initially tell the truth to the police about Tulay because her husband threatened to tell them that she was responsible for her daughter’s disappearance. “He used to say to me if I went to the police, ‘I would go and tell them you did it with your relatives, your brothers, that we did it together’,” she told the court.

Mrs Goren said that she admitted lying to police in her initial accounts of Tulay’s disappearance but told the truth after she was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and murder. She was released without charge. She told the court that Tulay had run away to live with Mr Unal after her husband and his brother Cuma had beaten her when they discovered the relationship.

Mrs Goren, who has broken a ten-year silence to give evidence at the Old Bailey, has described finding her teenage daughter tied up by her husband on a bedroom floor the day before the schoolgirl was allegedly murdered.

She said that Tulay’s hands and feet had turned purple because they were bound so tightly with parts of a torn shawl.

Mehmet Goren and his brothers Ali, 55, and Cuma, both of Walthamstow, East London, deny murdering Tulay. They also deny conspiracy to murder Mr Unal.

The trial continues.

Many people claim that Islam is not a religion. There is of course a strong case to be made either way as ultimately it boils down to definition of religion. Islam however, is clearly a form of psychopathology and probably a form of psychosis. The story below found through The Religion of Peace and the Opinionator.

MOGADISHU (Reuters)

Somalia’s hardline Islamist group al-Shabaab has publicly whipped women for wearing bras they say violate Islam by constituting a deception, north Mogadishu residents said on Friday.

The insurgent group, which seeks to impose a strict form of sharia Islamic law throughout Somalia, amputated a foot and a hand each from two young men accused of robbery earlier this month. They have also banned movies, musical ringtones, dancing at wedding ceremonies and playing or watching soccer.

President Barack Obama’s adviser on Muslim affairs, Dalia Mogahed, has provoked controversy by appearing on a British television show hosted by a member of an extremist group to talk about Sharia Law.

Miss Mogahed, appointed to the President’s Council on Faith-Based and Neighbourhood Partnerships, said the Western view of Sharia was “oversimplified” and the majority of women around the world associate it with “gender justice”.

The White House adviser made the remarks on a London-based TV discussion programme hosted by Ibtihal Bsis, a member of the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party.

The group believes in the non-violent destruction of Western democracy and the creation of an Islamic state under Sharia Law across the world.

Miss Mogahed appeared alongside Hizb ut Tahrir’s national women’s officer, Nazreen Nawaz.

During the 45-minute discussion, on the Islam Channel programme Muslimah Dilemma earlier this week, the two members of the group made repeated attacks on secular “man-made law” and the West’s “lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism”.

They called for Sharia Law to be “the source of legislation” and said that women should not be “permitted to hold a position of leadership in government”.

Miss Mogahed made no challenge to these demands and said that “promiscuity” and the “breakdown of traditional values” were what Muslims admired least about the West.

She said: “I think the reason so many women support Sharia is because they have a very different understanding of sharia than the common perception in Western media.

“The majority of women around the world associate gender justice, or justice for women, with sharia compliance.

“The portrayal of Sharia has been oversimplified in many cases.”

Sharia in its broadest sense is a religious code for living, which decrees such matters as fasting and dressing modestly. However, it has also been interpreted as requiring the separation of men and women.

It also includes the controversial “Hadd offences”, crimes with specific penalties set by the Koran and the sayings of the prophet Mohammed. These include death by stoning for adultery and homosexuality and the removal of a hand for theft.

Miss Mogahed admitted that even many Muslims associated Sharia with “maximum criminal punishments” and “laws that… to many people seem unequal to women,” but added: “Part of the reason that there is this perception of Sharia is because Sharia is not well understood and Islam as a faith is not well understood.”

The video of the broadcast has now been prominently posted on the front page of Hizb ut Tahrir’s website.

Miss Mogahed, who was born in Egypt and moved to America at the age of five, is the first veiled Muslim woman to serve in the White House. Her appointment was seen as a sign of the Obama administration’s determination to reach out to the Muslim world.

She is also the executive director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, a project which aims to scientifically sample public opinion in the Muslim world.

During this week’s broadcast, she described her White House role as “to convey… to the President and other public officials what it is Muslims want.”

Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America, said Miss Mogahed was “downplaying” Sharia Law.

“There is a reason sharia has got a bad name and it is how it has been exercised. Regrettably in the US there have been acts of injustice perpetrated against women that are driven by the Sharia-type mindset that women are objects not human beings,” she said.

She cited the example of Muzzammil Hassan, a Buffalo man who ran a cable channel aimed at countering Muslim stereotypes and was charged earlier this year with beheading his wife after she filed for divorce.

“Americans understand by example, it’s not as if we are an ignorant mass of people. Just as we don’t broad brush all Muslims, so should Dalia not downplay the serious nature of sharia law.”

Six Percent of Swedish Girls Raped Every Year?

The newspaper Aftenposten writes that according to a new report, six percent of Swedish girls questioned said they had been raped during the previous year. The hostile Wikipedia entry on “Fjordman” previously claimed that my essays about the Swedish rape epidemic are false because the massive increase in rapes was caused by “a widening of the legal definition of rape.” I bet it was. In this situation, the number one preoccupation of Swedish media is demonizing Israel, and the number two preoccupation is demonizing native Swedish critics of mass immigration and barring them from access to the mass media.

Sweden tops European rape league Sweden has the highest incidence of reported rapes in Europe — twice as many as “runner up” the UK, a new study shows. Researchers behind the EU study, which will be presented on Tuesday, conclude that rape appears to be a more common occurrence in Sweden than in continental European countries. In Sweden, 46 incidents of rape are reported per 100,000 residents. This figure is double as many as in the UK which reports 23 cases, and four times that of the other Nordic countries, Germany and France. The figure is up to 20 times the figure for certain countries in southern and eastern Europe.

As I have explained in my book Defeating Eurabia, where I devote an entire chapter to explaining the appalling situation in Sweden, Ethnologist Maria Bäckman, in her study “Whiteness and gender,” has followed a group of Swedish girls in the suburb of Rinkeby outside Stockholm, where natives have been turned into a minority of the inhabitants due to immigration. The subjects “may encounter prejudices such as the idea that Swedish girls act and dress in a sexually provocative way or that blonde girls are easy.” Bäckman relates that several of the Swedish girls she interviewed stated that they had dyed their hair to avoid sexual harassment. They experienced that being blonde involves old men staring at you, cars honking their horns and boys calling you “whore.”

What is disgusting, is its a good certainty than in Canada and most of Europe, had someone done this they would be jailed rather than rewarded. Even so, I would prefer to be in a box having 12 men judge me, than carried in a box with six men under me.

Jammu, Sep 28 (IANS) In what may be the first ever such act of resistance against militants in Jammu and Kashmir, a young woman in Rajouri district killed one militant and injured and drove away two others who had barged into her house and tried to abduct her, police said Monday.
Rukhsana, who gave up her studies two years ago after failing class tenth, was in her house in Shadhara village in Thana Mandi area of the district, about 190 km north-east of Jammu, when three militants barged in late Sunday night, police in Rajouri said.

The militants demanded Rukhsana be handed over to them, which her father Noor Hussain, mother Rashida and brother Ejaz tried to resist. At this, the militants started hitting the family members with rifle butts. This angered Rukhsana and she picked up an axe and hit one of the militants, killing him. He was later identified as Abu Osama of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

A violent scuffle ensued, in which another militant was injured and he and the third soon fled.

Police officials have commended Rukhsana’s courage, while state Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda has sent a special message for Rukhsana and said she would soon be rewarded.

“We have also provided police protection to the family,” Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajouri-Poonch range S.D.S. Jamwal told reporters.
