Here is the classically liberal Belgium separatist party being arrested. Details a few posts down. AFP like all the media, insist on calling Vlaams Belang, “Far Right Wing’. I would love to know what the criteria for that is, or for that matter what it even means beyond an attempt to besmirch them.
On the other hand, I think I can define fascism. That would be when the state crushes any opposing view to the one held by the powerful, by using instruments of the state out of all proportion to the activity which challenges them and the views they enforce. One example might be having people handcuffed and arrested and taken away in full view of mass media who merely did a publicity stunt with a non permanent sign on the side of a building when nothing was damaged and no one was harmed in any way. I think that might qualify as ‘fascist’. Now, how are we defining ‘far right’ again?

Handcuffs and Jackboots Await an Independent Flanders
Long-time readers will remember a notorious incident on September 11th, 2007, in Schuman Square in Brussels. On that occasion, leaders of the Flemish independence party Vlaams Belang were assaulted, knocked to the ground, surrounded by jack-booted police, handcuffed, and taken away to jail.
Their crime? Peacefully protesting the Islamization of Flanders.
The jackboots, handcuffs, and paddy wagons were back in force again today in Brussels, almost four years later. This time the leaders of Vlaams Belang were chased down and arrested for putting up street signs declaring an independent Flanders.

The entire party leadership and about twenty elected politicians belonging to the Flemish right wing extremist and separatist party Vlaams Belang were arrested by Belgian police Tuesday, when they declared Flemish independence and renamed the street outside the Parliament Building “Flemish Independence Street”.
The stunt had been announced on the first anniversary of Belgium’s last national election. Since the 13th of June last year the country has been without a government, since the parties have been unable to decide on who would form a government or what direction should be taken by a coalition government consisting of the winners in the different parts of the country.
Two road signs on the street Rue de la Loi (“Street of the Law”) outside the building where the caretaker prime minister Yves Leterme has his offices, Leterme himself being Flemish, were covered and replaced by the sign “Vlaamse onhanfhankelijkheidsstraat” (“Flemish Independence Street”) and “Republiek Vlaanderenstraat” (Flemish Republic Street”). “Worrying is that half of Muslim students can be described as anti-Semitic, which is still very high. Worse, the anti-Jewish feelings have nothing to do with a low educational or social disadvantage, as is the case with racist natives . It is theologically inspired anti-Semitism, and there is a direct link between Muslim and anti-Semitic feelings cherish. Catholics are also more negative towards Jews, but the feelings are not as strong. “
NOTE: Multiculturalism is the policy of societal suicide, it won’t work, it can’t work and those who say it does work, are delusional.

– ‘Jews want to dominate everything’ (31.4% agree)
– ‘Most Jews think they are better than other people’ (29.9%)
– ‘When you do business with Jews, you have to be extra alert’ (28.6%)
– ‘Jews agitate for war and blame others’ (28.4%)

‘Jong in Brussel,’ is a study done by Jeugdonderzoekplatform (Youth Research Platform) in cooperation with the universities of Ghent, Leuven and the Dutch-speaking VUB. It polled 2,837 students in in 32 Dutch-speaking high schools in Brussels.

DEMORGEN.BE Antisemitism is not a dirty word for about half of young Muslims in Brussels, and with a low educational level has little to do. Also shows “Young in Brussels” that multiculturalism in the young minds is not a fact. If push comes to shove, no apparent fan of the Bulgarians or Roma, and folds back on the young love their community.
“Belgians, Moroccans, Turks and Southern Europeans, the youth of the four largest ethnic groups in Brussels all care for one’s own people first ‘principle,” says sociologist Jessie Siongers (VUB), who discovered in her research for “Young in Brussels,” our capital is characterized by diversity, but that something does not automatically result in a cosmopolitan people.

The various groups do not live together, but side by side. The young people remain strongly committed to their own culture, especially when it comes to friendly relations, or lake, and this applies to young people of all origins.

Muslim population in Western Europe rising
IB NEWS… The population of Muslims in Western Europe has been steadily rising in recent decades, largely due to immigration from the Middle East, South Asia and North Africa.
In Southeastern Europe, much of which once formed part of the Ottoman Empire, Muslims have been present for many centuries, but they are a relatively new phenomenon in the western part of the continent.
On the whole, Muslim’s represent about 5 percent of the population of the EU 27.
Far-right politicians in Europe have long warned that the Muslim numbers will continue to grow due to higher birth rates. Marine Le Pen, the head of France’s anti-immigrant National Front party, who openly discusses the rising number Muslims in France, could conceivably win next year’s presidential election, according to polls.
While the percentage of Muslims as part of the overall population of western European nations are in single digits, a 2009 study by the Telegraph newspaper in the UK estimated that by 2050, Muslims will account for 20 percent of the European Union’s populace. Spain reports arrest of 2 in al-Qaida forgery ring

MADRID – Spain says police in Belgium arrested two Pakistanis allegedly connected to a cell that forged passports for al-Qaida-linked militants.
The Interior Ministry said Thursday the brothers were detained in Brussels on a European-wide warrant issued by Spain’s National Court. It did not say when the arrests were made.
So far eight alleged members of the cell have been arrested in Barcelona and three in Thailand, where the group was allegedly based. Spain named the new detainees as Mudaser Butt, 32, and Naveed Shahzad Butt, 30.
Spain says the group sent stolen passports to Thailand to be doctored and distributed to groups linked to al-Qaida, mainly Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terror group blamed for the 2008 Mumbai, India, attacks that killed 166 people.

I reported last week on the difficulties faced by Oskar Freysinger, the leader of the Swiss People’s Party, when he attempted to give a lecture in Brussels. Twice denied a private venue, he eventually gave his talk in the Flemish Parliament, thanks to the intervention of Vlaams Belang leader Filip Dewinter.
Mr. Freysinger gave his speech in French, and it has now been translated into English, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our French correspondent l’échappée belle. It is an excellent exposition of the extensive damage inflicted by mass Muslim immigration on the legal systems and national cultures of Europe.

Islamic Cleric Says ‘There Will be Blood in the Streets” when Hundreds of Muslims from Britain Attend Burqa Ban Protest in Belgium.
Anjem Choudary also issued a statement that if Sayeeda Warsi female politician would visit Muslim community she might face violence against her.
Sayeed Warsi has been slammed by the Islamic fundamentalists who warned she could be in physical danger if she visits Muslim communities.
She is the 39 year old and first female Muslim to be given full Cabinet position. It also has been stated by Anjem Choudary that she has betrayed her religion. According to him “She may look like a Muslim and have a Muslim-sounding name but she does not represent Islam or anyone in this country who is a Muslim.
She is a ‘coconut’, brown on the outside but white on the inside.
“In fact, she is whiter than most of the other white people in government.
“She is a disgrace and many true Muslims are angry that she claims to stand for Islam despite betraying Allah.”
Anjem choudary whose group Islam4UK was banned by the last government has predicted that Warsi would become the focus of hate.
He said: “She will be attacked by eggs every time she goes near a Muslim community. “Some more extreme protesters may take the attacks further. There is no doubt she is in danger.”
Choudary and his supporter will be heading to Brussels on Saturday to join a protest agains Belgium’s bid to ban the burka.
He said:
“There will be hundreds of Muslims from Britain heading to Belgium to join with thousands of our brethren to fight against this tyranny.
“We will fight all attempts to destroy Islam.
“There will be blood on the streets.”
