Why Would I Care About The Ivory Coast?

EDL Forum…

What does the Ivory Coast have to do with the EDL: what does mass Muslim immigration and subversion of democracy have to do with a civil war?

Here’s another example of the mainstream media completely hiding the real reasons for a conflict from the masses. I could be kind and say they’re just stupid, or I could be correct and say they’re terrified of what will happen when people know the truth. If you knew that the Ivory Coast in 1957 had about a 20% Muslim population and that today it is over 50%. If you then knew that the supposedly democratically elected new leader is Muslim while the old one is Christian, do you think those facts might be important? Have you heard that on the BBC?

And if anyone can find any mention of the Islam vs Christianity element of this civil war on the BBC, do let us know.

The following is taken from a leading counter Jihad blog: Sultan Knish.

There is a civil war in the Ivory Coast between Muslims and Christians. Unsurprisingly the EU has chosen to back the Muslim side. France is using armed force to insure that the Muslims take over.

Islam came to the Ivory Coast via Berber slave traders. Now it is trying to take over with mass murder and the backing of the ‘international community’. The post-colonial Ivory Coast was a success story. But Muslim immigration has turned it into a nightmare. Continue Reading →

Q Time.

Last thursday (March 24th), there was a rather small meeting to officially launch The Q Society. This group is a very interesting one, and definitely to be watched, because they have been out there doing things rather than just talking, which a lot of us sometimes get accused of doing.

In this case, Q have gotten a petition up against the Marrickville council for their promotion of anti-semitism and sponsorship of the BDS campaign.

Now a lot of people don’t realise this, but in Australia, local councils seem to be more concerned with what’s happening overseas rather than doing stuff like, oh, collecting the rubbish, fixing the roads and school crossings. Municipal kind of stuff.

Not Marrickville. Hard Green/Left councillor Fiona Byrne wants to sanction Israel for their action in the Gaza region.

(I do rather suspect that this is yet more of the now commonplace new anti-semitism masquerading as righteous outrage, but what would I know?)

Q also petitioned the Port Phillip council about allowing a community house to expand its use by a muslim group for friday prayers. In an area that is predominantly non-muslim, this is a bizarre thing to do, but again, what would I know. We’re talking about the Port Phillip council, and they’ve always been a bit left and strange. (In my opinion, of course)

So thursday’s launch was not completely out of the blue.

Q Society Launch

As Vickie says, Q has hit the ground running, and already leaving a groundswell of opinion in their wake.

ACA link here.

Having met Vickie personally on a number of occasions, I can attest to the fact that she comes across as a horribly scary extremist thoroughly nice person.

She’s also been getting out there, with the Australian Islamist Monitor interviewing her recently.

For a spokesperson, that’s excellent to see.

On thursday evening, Martin King from A Current Affair was also there for a short time to interview a few people (not me, luckily!), and tape some of the talks.

Of course, he didn’t get the talk he should have.

Q Launch SOS Campaign 2011

There are a lot of things going on here in Australia in the arena of creeping sharia – finance, education, food, amenities, and the ongoing issues with illegal immigrants. Not that we’re supposed to call them that. Asylum seekers is the politically correct term.

The Q Society are focusing particularly on halal food in Australia and the current push for islam to be a part of the schools’ curricula. Under the guise of “cultural” studies.

For a small but growing group they aim high.

When you consider that several speakers pulled out at the last minute because they were frightened of speaking out in public, there is a need for some sort of action.

These speakers were from Afghanistan, Sudan and Ethiopia, so you’d think they would feel safe to speak in our (supposedly) free society.

Obviously not.

The keynote speaker was Pastor Daniel Scot, of the infamous Catch the Fires case here in Melbournistan.

A highly educated and entertaining man, it’s no wonder he was charged with quoting the quran in a manner that made people laugh. He has an exquisitely honed sense of irony, and he uses it well.

Another speaker was a Pastor who fled Pakistan in fear as a christian, and now has a ministry here in Melbourne, preaching over the phone and via skype to groups in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and even London!

It took him over two years of effort with the Immigration dept to bring his wife and children to Australia and out from the oppression of Pakistan they suffered as christians.

There are a lot more stories like these, but unfortunately they never seem to see the light of day.

With the Q Society getting the information on what’s happening out, then with luck we’ll see more.

As the saying goes, sunlight disinfects, and the Q Society are doing an excellent job of disinfecting some of the misconceptions about sharia.

Pakistani Christian Sentenced for ‘Blasphemy’ Dies in Prison

Murder suspected in case of Christian imprisoned for life.

LAHORE, Pakistan, March 15 (CDN) — A Christian serving a life sentence in Karachi Central Jail on accusations that he had sent text messages blaspheming the prophet of Islam died today amid suspicions that he was murdered.

Qamar David’s life had been threatened since he and a Muslim, Munawar Ahmad, were accused of sending derogatory text messages about Muhammad in June 2006, said David’s former lawyer, Pervaiz Chaudhry (See “Pakistan’s ‘Blasphemy’ Laws Claim Three More Christians,” March 10, 2010).

David was convicted under Section 295-C under Pakistan’s widely condemned blasphemy laws for derogatory remarks against Muhammad in a case registered at Karachi’s Azizabad Police Station, with another case registered at Saddar Police Station pending. Maximum punishment for Section 295-C is death, though life imprisonment is also possible. On Feb. 25, 2010 he received a sentence of life in prison, which in Pakistan is 25 years, and was fined 100,000 rupees (US$1,170).

Chaudhry, who said he was David’s counsel until Islamic threats against his life forced him to stop in July 2010, told Compass that the Christian had expressed fears for his life several times during the trial.

“David did not die of a heart attack as the jail officials are claiming,” Chaudhry said. “He was being threatened ever since the trial began, and he had also submitted a written application with the jail authorities for provision of security, but no step was taken in this regard.” Continue Reading →

Bomb explodes at Indonesian Islamic group HQ: police

JAKARTA, Indonesia (UPDATE) – A bomb exploded at the office of a moderate Islamic group in the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Tuesday, injuring four people including a policeman, police and a witness said.

The device was in a package sent to the office of the Liberal Islam Network, a grouping of religious intellectuals, in East Jakarta, national police spokesman Boy Rafli Amar told reporters.

“We suspected that it was a bomb. Our officers were trying to tame it when it went off,” he said, adding that the police are investigating the motive.

A witness told local television station MetroTV that the package was addressed to the group’s former director and liberal Muslim scholar Ulil Abshar Abdalla.

“Our office received a suspicious package containing cables with a strong smell. We called the police,” Fia Anwar said.

“As the police were checking the package, it exploded. Four people were injured, including a policeman and our security guards,” she added.

“I saw clearly that a policeman’s hand was cut off and our security guards had shrapnel wounds,” she said.

Religion has been under the spotlight in recent weeks in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country, after some provincial administrations issued a local decree which banned members of the Islamic Ahmadiyah sect from showing signs identifying their mosques and schools.

The provincial regulations came after Islamist fanatics brutally murdered last month three Ahmadiyah adherents. Two days later another mob of enraged Muslims rampaged through the streets and set fire to churches. Continue Reading →

TUNISIA: ONE OF THE NEW PARTIES WANTS CALIPHATE AND SHARIA

(ANSAmed)

– TUNIS, MARCH 10 – Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of the more than 30 parties that have been authorised to carry out political activities after the fall of the Ben Ali regime. Its clear objective is to institute a caliphate in Tunisia, as well as a system based on the sharia.

Today the party’s spokesman Ridha Belhaj, quoted by AFP, said that the party does not rule out ”rebellion or civil disobedience”. But Belhaj continued by saying that in his view the use of violence ”in political action is unacceptable”.

This view was confirmed today in a long interview with Le Quotidien by Foued Azzouz, who is seen as one of the leading figures in the party. Hizb ut-Tahrir Tunisia was founded in 1980 and its organisation is based on small groups, ‘halakat’ (circles), which focus on making propaganda for a party that is widely supported by workers and students. Its philosophy is based on the writings of Taqiuddin-Al-Nabhanu, a Palestinian man and graduate of the al Ahar University in Cairo, who founded the party in 1953 in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. His goal was to found the party in all Arab countries. According to Azzouz, ”the State becomes a simple policeman that has to guarantee respect for the rules of the game in the new world order”. So, he adds, ”the capitalist system cannot guarantee the wellbeing of the people”. The party therefore has one single enemy: ”the capitalist system that governs the entire world”.

According to the party’s programme, the country must be led by the Ummah (Muslim nation) which selects the caliph through elections, though Islamic law remains supreme. ”Islam is the solution” claims Hizb ut-Tahrir, reusing one of the slogans of the Muslim Brotherhood, the fundamentalist Egypt movement.

Phyllis Chesler: Turning a blind eye to Islam’s brutal treatment of women

National Post, March 12, 2011 – 7:03 AM ET/Last Updated: March 12, 2011 5:10 AM ET

My feminist generation believed in universal human rights — one standard for all. I still do. Therefore, I have taken a strong stand against the persecution of immigrant women and dissidents. I now submit affidavits on behalf of women who have fled the threat of such killings and who are seeking asylum in the United States.

Those of us who condemn the plight of such women, who are mainly Muslims and ex-Muslims, have been demonized in activist circles as “Islamophobes” and racists because we do not, in the same breath, blame America, the West or Israel for their suffering. Many Western academic feminists are so afraid of being condemned as “racists” that this fear trumps their concern for women’s rights in the Arab and Muslim world.

Islamic gender apartheid, which has penetrated the West, is characterized by normalized daughter- and wife-battering, forced veiling, female genital mutilation, polygamy, purdah (the segregation or sequestration of women), arranged marriage, child marriage and first-cousin marriage. Girls and women often are honour-murdered if they resist such practices, if they wish to divorce a dangerously abusive husband, or if they are viewed as too independent, too modern.

Today, at its most extreme, Islamic gender apartheid is characterized by acid attacks, public stonings, hangings, and beheading of women in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia and Saudi Arabia — countries in which female rape victims are jailed, tortured and executed.

Feminists should be crying out from the rooftops against these practices. Some are. I am. Yet, many Muslims, as well as many intellectually “progressive” Western infidels, are not. They are welcoming the imposition of Islamic religious law, Sharia law, not only in the Middle East but also in the West. Continue Reading →

A fantastic clip on the Islamic roots of the African slave trade.

This was originally done in German, and someone was kind enough to translate it into French, where Bear got a hold of it and translated it into English. I suspect, but am not 100% sure, it is excerpts from the excellent documentary, ‘The Islamic Roots of the African Slave trade‘ which I will place in toto below this clip.

MCC urges governments to investigate infiltration of police forces by Islamists

(Still working on getting the original link for this: got it thanks to BCF)

TORONTO – The Muslim Canadian Congress (MCC) has expressed concern over the influence of Islamist organizations on Canada’s police and security services. In a statement, the MCC cautioned the federal, provincial and municipal governments, that their multiculturalism and diversity initiatives were being used by advocates of sharia law and Islamism to pursue their own hidden agenda.

The MCC was responding to recent news that a Muslim police officer from Toronto’s Intelligence refused to lay charges against a Muslim woman who had made an “open threat” against the founder of the MCC, Tarek Fatah.

Amna Bakhtiar, General Secretary of the MCC said, “it is quite possible that there were valid reasons not to lay charges against the woman. However, the optics of the Toronto police assigning Muslim officers to investigate threats made by radicals against liberal Muslims and then not charging them, leaves the impression that when it comes to the safety of liberal Muslims the TPS is more interested in multiculturalism rather than to serve and protect.”

Ms. Bahktiar said this is not the first incident of this sort and it is not the only police force in the country that has put multiculturalism ahead of security. She referred to incidents in Ottawa, where the RCMP were more willing to entertain Islamists and apologize for the force’s anti-terrorist operations than to unapologetically send a message that no violation of law will be tolerated, irrespective of one’s background. Muslim Shelf Stockers Can Refuse to Handle Alcohol

From Der Spiegel:

A German court has ruled that Muslim supermarket workers don't have to stock the alcohol shelves.

A German court has ruled that Muslim supermarket workers don’t have to stock the alcohol shelves.

A Muslim supermarket employee in Germany was sacked when he refused on religious grounds to stock shelves with bottles of alcohol. Now the country’s highest labor court has ruled that the man’s objection was justified.

It’s not the first time a Muslim worker in Germany has gone to court over the right to practice his or her religion in the workplace. A number of high-profile cases in recent years have involved Muslim women who wanted the right to wear a headscarf while doing their jobs. Continue Reading →

Slashed: Victim Gary Smith was left with a fractured skullSlashed: Victim Gary Smith was left with a fractured skull

Four men launched a horrific attack on a teacher in which they slashed his face and left him with a fractured skull because they did not approve of him teaching religion to Muslim girls.

Akmol Hussein, 26, Sheikh Rashid, 27, Azad Hussain, 25, and Simon Alam, 19, attacked Gary Smith with a Stanley knife, an iron rod and a block of cement.

Mr Smith, who is head of religious education at Central Foundation Girls’ School in Bow, east London, also suffered a fractured skull.

The four now face a jail sentence.

Detectives made secret recordings of the gang’s plot to attack Mr Smith prior to the brutal assault.

The covert audio probe captured the gang condemning Mr Smith for ‘teaching other religions to our sisters’, the court heard.

The RE teacher was targeted as he made his way on foot along Burdett Road in nearby Mile End on July 12 last year, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.

Prosecutor Sarah Whitehouse told the court: ‘The evidence from what was said on the probe points overwhelmingly to a religious motive for this attack.’ Continue Reading →
