On the 90th anniversary of the Holomodor, we need to carefully examine what led up to the killing of millions

This post contains videos about an historical event on the scale of the Holocaust, more recent, and very possibly of more people in as systematic a manner. Yet if you ask your friends and neighbours about the Holomodor, it is likely they will never have heard of it. Please consider sending the link to this post, or if you prefer, to the videos directly to people who still think the left is about tolerance and fairness.

Brad Johnson update on Azerbaijani war on Armenia

This conflict is more meaningful than what one may expect of a war between two small nations most people have never heard of. This is a proxy war between Turkish people, who are the population of Azerbaijan, and Armenia, where the survivors of the Armenian Genocide by the Turks live. Russia is backing the Armenian Christians and Turkey is backing the Azerbaijani Muslim Turks. This has potential to spread.

More calls to genocide by senior Hamas leaders

What this guy doesn’t understand is that Israel is afraid of a war with them because of all the people Israel will have to kill, that it doesn’t want to kill. Israel doesn’t want a war because even winning it kinda sucks. But nothing compared to losing one to the genocidal superstitious psychos that are religious muslims.

An open letter to the people and government of Israel.

Dear Israel:

This is in the form of a letter and not a petition as while I am confident the number of signatories would be high, this is about a moral and just action and not about public pressure to perform it. I only make this letter public as it has the greater chance of reaching the right eyes in that fair land.

Israel more than any other nation on Earth today knows what it means to face extinction, both as a geopolitical entity, and also as a people, a history and a culture. It is also one of the only moral governments that protects minorities and as such, I would hope they would consider using some of their precious and needed resources to help the Yazidi, a similarly ancient and indigenous people, who are now gathered in the hills and facing extinction at the hands of the new Caliphate and the old rules of ‘Mohamed Abd’allah’. The same man and rules that caused the extinction of Jewish tribes that built the prosperous city of Yathrib, now called Medina in what is currently ‘Saudi Arabia’.

I believe Israel is the only nation on Earth that has the logistics and materials to supply weapons and ammunition, and perhaps the equipment needed to desalinate water, if indeed the Yazidi have access to the Sea. If not, perhaps somehow water can be brought to them along with the weapons needed to continue their defense.

Jews know about fighting for survival. If there is any possible way that Israel can help the Yazidi people, a people who’s own culture and faith is a first cousin of the Jewish one as both can be said to be descended from the Zoroastrians, please do so and do so immediately.

Let “never again” include the Yazidi also.

Middle East genocide

NY Post:

We do nothing as Muslims eradicate the last vestiges of Christians and Jews from nation after nation

We are witnesses to murder, and our governments are accomplices. The relentless destruction of the last remnants of the Middle East’s Judeo-Christian civilization is well under way. And we are silent.

Captives of political correctness, our governments cater to radical immigrant tantrums as our leaders contort the truth to deny the existence of Islamist terrorism. Meanwhile, our Middle Eastern “allies” and foes alike eradicate thousands of years of Jewish and Christian heritage. Our diplomats treat the persecution as a minor embarrassment, best ignored.

The banishments and butchery aren’t new, but the breakdown of the last rotting order in the wake of the “Arab Spring” has empowered psychotic fanatics who do not even value the lives of the faithful, let alone the lives of unbelievers. This is the end-game, the final persecution of Christians clinging to lands they’ve called home for 2,000 years. Except for Israel and the rarest exceptions elsewhere, Jews are already gone from the realms that nurtured them since the early years of their faith.

Egyptian Cleric Threatens Egypt’s Copts with Genocide

“The day Egyptians…feel you are against them, you will be wiped off the face of the Earth.” — Dr. Wagdi Goneim

Mohammed MorsiEgyptian President and Islamist Mohammed MorsiIslamic leaders continue to portray the popular protests against President Morsi and his recently passed Sharia-heavy constitution as products of Egypt’s Christians. Recently, Muslim Brotherhood leader Safwat Hegazy said in an open rally, as captured on video:

A message to the church of Egypt, from an Egyptian Muslim: I tell the church — by Allah, and again, by Allah — if you conspire and unite with the remnants [opposition] to bring Morsi down, that will be another matter…. our red line is the legitimacy of Dr. Muhammad Morsi. Whoever splashes water on it, we will splash blood on him.”

More recently, Dr. Wagdi Ghoneim — who earlier praised Allah for the death of the late Coptic Pope Shenouda, cursing him to hell and damnation on video — made another video, entitled, “A Notice and Warning to the Crusaders in Egypt,” a reference to the nation’s Copts, which he began by saying, “You are playing with fire in Egypt, I swear, the first people to be burned by the fire are you [Copts].” The video was made in the context of the Tahrir protests against Morsi: Islamic leaders, such as Hegazy and Ghoneim, seek to portray the Copts as dominant elements in those protests; according to them, no real Muslim would participate. Ghoneim even went on to say that most of the people at the protests were Copts, “and we know you hid your [wrist] crosses by lowering your sleeves.”

The heart of Ghoneim’s message was genocidal: “The day Egyptians — and I don’t even mean the Muslim Brotherhood or Salafis, regular Egyptians — feel that you are against them, you will be wiped off the face of the earth. I’m warning you now: do not play with fire!”

Islamists Threaten To Exterminate Egypt’s 10 Million Coptic Christians Over Film

From the Inquisitor:

Egypt's 10 Million Copts Face Extermination Over Film

Egypt’s 10 million Coptic Christians have been threatened with mass extermination by Islamists in retaliation for the rumored involvement of a Copt in the making of the anti-Islamic film, “Innocence of Muslims.” The film touched off rioting throughout the Muslim world, due to claims that it insulted Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, leading to attacks on several American Embassies, and the murder of the American Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens.

After the American flag was torn to shreds at the Cairo Embassy by the enraged mob, the crowds began to focus their anger on the Christian community. Islamist leaders and clerics have fueled their rage by telling the faithful at Friday prayers that the film was made by Copts living in America as part of a deliberate attack on the faith of Muslims. Calls have gone out for the collective punishment of all of Egypt’s Christians.

Radical Islam revives an ancient hatred

Telegraph UK:

Islamic fundamentalists are ready to settle scores

From Saturday’s Daily Telegraph

Is a new and shocking wave of anti-Semitism engulfing the Middle East and the developing world? Consider the following:

More than half the Jews in Iraq have been driven out of the country; those that remain are forced to pay a fine or leave their homes. Some are forced to marry Muslims.

In Syria, towns and villages where Jews have lived for centuries are now almost entirely Muslim; these communities have fled to safer parts of the country, where they hope to escape an anti-Semitic massacre.

In Egypt, the new regime is surreptitiously encouraging attacks on synagogues; the Jews, despised for their supposed wealth, fear that the “Arab spring” is about to release centuries of pent-up anti-Semitic hatred.

In Nigeria, Jews have been attacked and killed while studying scripture. In Bangladesh, Jewish children are being forced into madrassas. In Pakistan, the body of an 11-year-old Jewish boy was discovered this week; he’d been tortured to death and his lips sliced off.

You won’t have heard about this atrocious persecution. That’s because – forgive me – I’ve played one of the oldest tricks in the journalist’s book. For Jews, read Christians. For anti-Semitic, read anti-Christian. For synagogues read churches.

I hope Jewish readers won’t take offence: I’m not denying that actual anti-Semitism is spreading like a virus throughout Arab societies. It’s just that, if these attacks against Christians were being directed against Jews, the precedent of the Holocaust would shock the world into action.

US-Backed Rebels Committing Christian Genocide In Syria

AINA.Org:

Christians are being systematically targeted for genocide in Syria according to Vatican and other sources with contacts on the ground among the besieged Christian community. According to reports by the Vatican’s Fides News Agency collected by the Centre for the Study of Interventionism, the US-backed Free Syrian Army rebels and ever more radical spin-off factions are sacking Christian churches, shooting Christians dead in the street, broadcasting ultimatums that all Christians must be cleansed from the rebel-held villages, and even shooting priests.

French Bishop Philip Tournyol Clos, a greek-Catholic Melkite Archimandrite, traveled through Syria and, according to the Holy See’s press agency, reported back that Western press was spreading disinformation about the real nature of the uprising in Syria and thereby prolonging and deepening the conflict. Reported Bishop Clos:

In Homs, “opposition forces have occupied two areas, Diwan Al Bustan and Hamidieh, where there are all the churches and bishoprics. The picture for us is utter desolation: the church of Mar Elian is half destroyed and that of Our Lady of Peace is still occupied by the rebels. Christian homes are severely damaged due to the fighting and completely emptied of their inhabitants, who fled without taking anything. The area of Hamidieh is still shelter to armed groups independent of each other, heavily armed and bankrolled by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. All Christians (138,000) have fled to Damascus and Lebanon, while others took refuge in the surrounding countryside. A priest was killed and another was wounded by three bullets.”

Mother Agnes Miriam of the Cross, Mother Superior of the Monastery of St. James at Qara in the Diocese of Homs, was interviewed (MP3) on Irish Radio this week where she confirmed that the opposition rebels in Syria were terrorizing Syria’s Christian community.

Asked whether it was the Free Syrian Army that was telling Christians to get out, Mother Agnes Miriam answered “yes…it was commander on the ground Abdel Salam Harba who decided that there was to be no more negotiations with Christians.” She said that Christians are being targeted because they are refusing to back the rebels and instead prefer to keep out of either side of the conflict. She said that the rebels are specifically targeting government troops in Christian areas and are taking Christians as human shields.

Syria’s ultimatum to Christians: “Leave Qusayr”

Vatican Insider:

Bombings in the city of HomsBombings in the city of Homs

The message sent out by the military chief of the armed opposition has spread panic and lead to a Christian exodus

vatican insider staff
rome

An exodus of Christians is taking place in Western Syria: the Christian population has fled the city of Qusayr, near Homs, following an ultimatum issued by the military chief of the armed opposition, Abdel Salam Harba.

This is what local sources told Vatican news agency Fides, pointing out that since the conflict broke out, only a thousand of the city’s ten thousand faithful, were left and they are now being forced to flee immediately. Some of the city’s mosques have issued the message again, announcing from the minarets: “Christians must leave Qusayr within six days, ending Friday.” The ultimatum therefore expired on 8 June and spread fear among the Christian population which had started to regain hope as a result of the presence of the Jesuit Fr. Paolo Dall’Oglio, who stopped off in Qusayr for a week to “pray and fast in the name of peace, right in the midst of conflict.”

The reasons for this ultimatum remain a mystery. Some say it is necessary in order to protect faithful from further suffering; other sources reveal “a continuity in discrimination and selective repression.” Others still claim that Christians have openly expressed their loyalty to the state and this is why the opposition army is chasing them away. Now Christian families in Qusayr have begun their exodus as displaced persons, towards the surrounding valleys and rural areas. Some have taken refuge in parents’ and friends’ homes in Damascus. Very few families have courageously decided to stay behind in their birth city but who knows what fate will meet. Fides sources have reiterated that groups of Salafi Islamic extremists within the armed opposition consider Christians as “infidels”; they confiscate their belongings, carry out mass executions and are ready to declare a “denominational war”.
