Lets do another white guilt parade while ignoring this.

I have to say, I am so sick of the constant bleating of white guilt because of the participation of Europeans and North Americans with slavery when it was in fact the culture of Europe and North America that actually fought wars to end slavery and also owned up to it’s evil. Meanwhile. slavery still is practised in many nations and overwhelmingly the victims are black Africans and the slave owners are Muslims.

It should be noted that while I used the category, ‘War on everything not Islamic’, Muslims will happily take black Muslims as slaves or commit genocide on them as we see in Darfur, because the fact that they are black negates any value being Muslim may appear to confer.

How sexy; Politiken on it’s knees for Islam.

After a settlement to the Saudis, Middle Eastern and Australian Muslim groups, Politiken took a swipe at freedom in favour of sharia. “We apologize to anyone who was offended by our decision to reprint the cartoon drawing”. Although the paper stands by it’s decision to print what it wants, they are sorry for any hurt feelings. Islamist groups are thrilled and predictably the Oh I See welcomes the apology.

We should understand that pictures of Muhammed complimentary or not, were and still are, quite common and have not been met with very much if any incident, outside of the Jyllands-Posten episode. We also have to understand that within Islamic theology, the Quran can abrogate itself to suit it’s selected political purpose of the day. For a thorough understanding of such abrogation in Islam see here (second video) and here. Think of  it as an ‘in the heat of the moment’ or the ‘here and now’ doctrine, Muslim scripture in the ‘fast lane’. What better way to charge ahead against the ‘enemies of Islam’ than to conveniently abrogate the Quran to suit the present, chosen circumstance? Foolproof, I’d say.

There are thousands of depictions of Muhammed old and new, created by artists around the world including ones created in Muslim nations. The claim that he cannot be depicted in picture form is clearly false.

Danish newspaper apologises over Prophet Mohammed cartoon

A Danish newspaper on Friday became the first in the country to apologise for offending Muslims by printing a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed with a bomb-shaped turban, rekindling a heated debate about free speech.

The Dutch Ummah
Several weeks ago a Dutch reader sent us a set of essays by an expatriate Dutch writer named Arthur Legger. I forwarded two of them — one from The Wall Street Journal and the other from IFPS — to our Flemish correspondent VH, and asked his opinion of them.

As regular readers know, VH is very well-informed on both Belgian and Dutch affairs, and documents his opinions copiously using multiple sources. His reply to me was so thoughtfully pessimistic that I was taken by surprise — VH has an invariably sunny and optimistic disposition, but his outlook for the Netherlands was startlingly gloomy.

With his kind permission, I have merged and edited two of his emails into the essay below. My questions to VH have been interpolated in italics:

The “traditional Dutch liberties” that according to the WSJ existed from 1997 until 2005 had in fact already ceased to exist since the immigration flow started to boom in the mid-1970s. Many non-left-wing and conservative Dutch people learned to be careful after that, to go with the flow, and to share real opinions only with the most trusted friends, and in private.

In the eighties a politician was convicted for stating: “When we have the chance, we will abolish the multicultural society”. And when Frits Bolkestein of the VVD expressed his critique of multiculture and mass immigration in parliament in the early 1990s, a very silent electorate rewarded him with a substantial increase in votes, only to be betrayed by Bolkestein being kicked upstairs to Brussels, to the EU…

In Arthur Legger’s excellent essay, he quotes Dr. Hans Daudt: “Via the main political parties the traditional regent families are still in power.” That, however, may be only partly the case with the royalty and its entourage.

For among that “entourage” is the multicultural elite, and they influence each other and hold power. Princess Maxima — who in 2002 was introduced to the ins and outs of Dutch society by extreme left-wingers and multiculturalists and ex-DDR admirers like Andrée van Es (now Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) and Paul Rosenmöller (ex Pol Pot propagandist who, as a GreenLeft, easily got away with that) — once stated to Gretta Duisenberg (maybe the most notorious Arafat- and Hamas-admirer and anti-Semite in the Netherlands) that Dutch identity does not exist. Duisenberg: “One time Princess Maxima was there at a reception, and I passed by her, and she called me and said: ‘I want to say that I really admire you’.”

Does anyone remember ‘White Girl’?
The BBC Metropolitan elite hate and despise the Northern English working class. Their attitude (like Jack Straw and Harridan Harm-men) is that of the Party Members to the Proles in Orwell’s 1984.

‘White Girl’ illustrated this attitude to the extent that the programme virtually became a parody of itself. It was a crude exercise in Da’wa, Dhimmitude and Taqiyya. It started with the inevitable ‘It’s grim oop north’ opening cliche and then went steadily, tediously and predictably downhill for the next 90 minutes.

The Northern English were portrayed as squalid, drunken, junk-food eating, smoking, gambling, child-abusing, sex-mad, illiterate, intolerant, wife-beating, drug-dealing chavs – whereas the Muslims were simply wonderful.
The examination of the Death-Cult was minimal, with superficial references to Mohammed flying to Jerusalem and the 99 names of Allah.
A particulalrly naff scene was where the white girl ‘exorcised’ her vicious stepdad by repeatedly reciting the shahadah: “Ashadu an la ilaha illa-llah wa ashadu anna muhammadan rasulu-llah” – “I testify that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”… Presumably this is based on the belief that you can get rid on one child-abuser by invoking the name of an even more depraved one.

Rome: First halal meat counter

The Italian capital, Rome will open its first supermarket halal meat counter on Saturday, where Muslims will be able to buy meat slaughtered according to Islamic principles as well as other halal products.

Imams from mosques in Rome, Florence and Ravenna will attend the inauguration at the Ipercoop supermarket in the southern Casilina area of Rome, where traditional Arab dishes will also be served.

Muslim immigrants and converts can buy meat at halal butchers, but haven’t been able to find it in supermarkets, and halal meat counters could help integrate Muslims in Italy, according to some.

“This is a chance to understand each other better and find new opportunities for dialogue, mutual understanding and coexistence – even inside a supermarket,” the organisers of Saturday’s event said in a statement posted to the Italian interfaith website ildialogo.org.

Diana West: ‘Spoofing the death of Wilders’

Behold the smug mug of Willem Stegeman, who has made a Dutch state-subsidized film “spoofing” an assassination attempt on Geert Wilders.

“Spoofing.”

Of course, the grotesquerie of Stegeman and his “spoof” are not the main story in a backward — no, twisted — report from Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) that leads with the response (“furious”) of Party for Freedom (PVV) members over “Radio FunX’s” assassination-attempt entertainment. Almost as breath-taking is the nasty photo of Wilders with which RNW, supposedly a news organization, illustrates the story.

Currently embroiled in open-ended Kafka-esque legal jeopardy, Wilders has lived under permanent threat of death since that November day in 2004 when Theo van Gogh was assassinated in broad daylight on an Amsterdam street, his head nearly cut off and an Islamic manifesto pinned with a knife into his chest threatening Wilders and Ayaan Hirsi Ali with a similar fate.

What better subject for state-subsidized parody?

Radio FunX director Willem Stegeman said that the full satirical video will be released next week. “It is an unmistakeable parody. I cannot give away the plot, but I can reveal that it will be a total anti-climax. We are exploring how far we can go, and some may find it in bad taste. But the same can be said of statements by some people in the political spectrum.

Get it, get it? “Spoofing” Wilders’ death is “bad taste” just as “some people” (Wilders) discussing the Islamic institutions of jihad and dhimmitude in this crucial period of Western Islamization is in “bad taste.” Watch out, mijnheer Stegeman. Your IQ is showing.

We are putting an ironic slant on the whole thing, striking a blow against all the ponderousness surrounding Mr Wilders.”

I think by “ponderousness” he means the two-ton bullet-proof vest Geert must wear anytime he appears in public, and the security detail his life now depends on.

Mr Stegeman emphasised that the film makers are not after demonising the nationalist right-wing anti-Islam MP. “But the film’s author is definitely drawing a connection with Pim Fortuyn,” the popular outcast politician who was assassinated in 2002 following a plea for stricter immigration rules.

Not demonizing Wilders, oh no — but “definitely” connecting Wilders to the demonized Fortuyn?

Of college girls and Keffiyehs

Once again I noticed riding the buss, that so many young people wear a keffiyeh as a fashion statement or just as likely as a political one. OK that’s fine. I am all for freedom of speech and especially for political speech, the kind that really matters. However I do think it is a good idea for people to actually be clear on what their speech and symbols really mean. today, I saw an attractive young woman wearing as a scarf, the official headdress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Does she have no clue that the Saudis in all probability would not let her wear it at all within the KSA? That she likely would not be able to travel un-escorted on the street or on a public bus with men on it? That in fact she is wearing the very symbol of one of the most oppressive regimes for women’s rights in the world now or ever? You would  have to be sacrificed to a volcano to get much worse treatment as a woman than you do in Saudi Arabia.

And the rest of the children who have been led to believe that supporting Hamas and wearing the keffiyeh is a cool counter-culture, anti-corporate, death to capitalism, anti racism sort of statement I profoundly hope you will read the Hamas charter as well as Hizbolah’s. They are online and quite clear. These organizations are literally genocidal. Hamas and Hizbolah are the most racist large scale governmental organizations since Hitler’s National Socialists.

So by all means, preach death to Jews and demand that Canada adopt sharia law and take away women’s rights to choice about pretty much anything, and demand a caliphate here in Canada and for the world if you feel that is what you want to see. But for the love of (insert gods here) do not advertise your semi-literate, under-informed, fashion-based crapioca on the rest of us when in fact you have no actual clue what the symbols you wear mean, and the groups you support actually fight for with your support and probably your money. If you are a genocidal anti-semite   and want a seventh century religious conservative rule with zero tolerance for all alternative lifestyles or points of view carry on. I will fight you in the streets and on the beeches as needs be. But if you don’t want these things, go home and change.

This is too easy a post. I mean even my most adamant leftist friends admit that a clear double standard has existed from the beginning of Obama’s term in office. Of course only when no one else was listening. Like when Obama appointed a tax cheat as head of the I.R.S. for example. It was a safe bet that had Bush done so, there would be a national if not global crisis of deafness as a result of the shrieking of the left and media in general.

As a rule, VTB has at least attempted to not post anything about Obama unless it was a matter of direct impact on Islam in the west and the jihad in general, like Obama’s truly horrific speech in Cairo last year, or irrational leftism like the ACORN stories.

This is neither. But I simply cannot contain myself on the matter of the grotesque double standard. Bush was attacked for taking six minutes to respond to 911 when no one was expecting anything like it, as he read from a children’s book at a class for grade six. Obama took as many days to respond to the Fort Hood shooting and everyone is expecting Islamic terrorism even if no one is allowed to call it that.

Frankly I thought this was a photoshop. No one outside of the set of Dexter can be this pathologically egomaniacal. Then I saw these which contained the image below:

But this goes beyond a gentle poke at the left and their selective myopia. The fact that the president of the United States uses a rig like this to speak to kids in grade six is itself a sad sad reflection of this man’s self image for good or for bad. I mean who needs a podium with your title on it and two microphones to speak to a couple of dozen kids sitting within 30 feet of you?

I would venture a guess that whoever does, is not a well man.

Lastly, if you choose to listen to the Cairo speech in the link at the top, investigate his claims about Islamic invention. They are themselves, invention, and where they are not, they are grotesque and perverse distortions of important historical facts. Search for the history of the U.S. marines, and why Jefferson had a Koran. There are too many misrepresentations of history and fact to list, but for those with an eye to research, investigating the claims in that that speech will yield some surprises.

Who Owns the Dead Sea Scrolls?

Jordan has demanded that Israel hand over some of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. The kingdom claims Israel seized the scrolls illegally from a museum in East Jerusalem during the Six-Day War in 1967.

Israel seized the scrolls and other antiquities from the Palestinian Museum, which was managed by Jordan in east Jerusalem when it occupied this part of the city in 1967,” said Rafea Harahsheh of Jordan’s antiquities department.

The scrolls were discovered by a Bedouin shepherd in 1947. The famous parchments number 900 documents and biblical texts belonging to the Essenes, a breakaway Jewish sect that lived in the craggy hills above the Dead Sea where the scrolls were discovered.

They provide a rare insight into life in the Holy Land and the emergence of early Christian groups in the area.

The Jordanians recently asked the Canadian government to seize some of the scrolls while they were on display in Toronto.

They have also appealed to the United Nations in support of their case.

Israel has refused to discuss handing back the scrolls. Its foreign ministry told the Jerusalem Post, “Jordan’s occupation of the West Bank was never recognized by the international community and the kingdom relinquished all claims on the territories. The scrolls have no relation to Jordan or the Jordanian people.” Continue Reading →

For relativists unable to discriminate between the value of the west, and Islam

Here is a little contrast for those who seem unable to recognize the fruits of western secular thought with its traditions that come from the ancient Greeks and Romans, and Islam who’s previous intelectual arabic, Persian, and North African traditions such as the library at Alexandria Egypt, or the fine intelectual traditions of Persia were in fact destroyed by Islam. Top video pretty much represents the pinacle of Islamic thought. Bottom one, I would venture to say is the greatest accomplishment of western civilization. The fact that many might argue, shows how much and varied those fruits are.
