What is ‘desecration’ of a Koran exactly

Koran burn insultLet’s see, we had riots in Greece when rumors circulated about a policeman ‘mistreating’ a koran, so I guess that is desecration, fair enough…

We had several Christians killed, their houses burned, and many families dislocated when Mosques trumpeted that one Christian family had torn a page from a Koran in Pakistan, so I guess that is desecration even when it was utterly untrue and again… well fair enough… sort of….

Then, we had some Muslims smuggling Heroin into Europe in a hollowed out Koran and no riots killings burnings or even condemnations at all so, I suppose, that is not a ‘desecration’. I suppose Mohamed must have been an apothecary…

And today, we have a koran hollowed out and bombs placed inside them in order to kill as many of the unwitting as possible in Iraq.

So, granted this is a small sample, but it gives us a place to start.

Desecration of Koran, therefore, must be when anyone not Muslim handles the holy book of Islam in any manner whatsoever that can be construed as disrespectful, and reported truly or falsely in that manner. Desecration of a koran is a tactic for political gain using the politically correct who think that a book is important merely because a non westerner says it is.

Desecration of a koran is not when that book is destroyed,mutilated or carved out for the purpose of advancing Islam in such ways as smuggling dangerous drugs to harm the infidel and raise money for jihad. It is not desecration when it is filled with explosives to kill other Muslims so long as those Muslims are of some other flavour than the bomber, as technically it’s still jihad to advance Islam.

Glad we cleared that up.

Malmo Firemen made to buy face shields and bullet proof vests

As many of you may or may not know, The Al Queda handbook teaches the Muslim ‘diaspera’ to create ‘no go zones’ by setting fires and other anti-social acts that require a response from the state, and then attacking the various institutions who respond such as fire, ambulance, police etc. in order to create zones which are under Islamic control and sharia law. This strategy has been employed to tremendous success all over Europe as leftist ‘politically correct’ bureaucrats and government agencies who are either, on side with Muslims and more often, afraid to mention the truth in case they lose the illusion of stable good governance with the electorate, fail to properly inform the public about what is analogous to a cancer growing in the social body.

This is todays manifestation of the western response. Swedish firemen being made to dress for war, rather than fire.

A Muslim community leader who claimed he was kidnapped from his home at knifepoint and dumped in woodland after a BNP hate campaign has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Noor Ramjanally, 36, alleged that he was abducted by two men, bundled into a car boot, driven to Epping Forest in Essex and ordered to stop his religious work.

The BNP had been accused of whipping up racial tensions in the area after it issued an inflammatory leaflet about Mr Ramjanally’s Islamic community group – the first in Loughton.

His alleged ordeal became a cause célèbre among the Muslim community both locally and nationally after it was reported in the national press.

Know that in this man’s opinion, it was Ezra Levant who basically single-handedly removed the power that the Canadian Human Rights Commissions had accumulated for itself, and with which they ran an unopposed extortion racket in Canada under the guise of section 13, the ‘hate speech’ laws. This victory of the people over the state belongs to Ezra.

Yesterday, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal did something its never done in its 32-year history. It acquitted somebody of “hate speech” charges. Until now, the tribunal had a 100% conviction rate.

In a 107-page ruling, tribunal member Athanasios Hadjis didn’t just throw out the case against Marc Lemire, he threw out the law, too, calling it an infringement of the free speech guarantees of the Charter of Rights.

Hadjis is no wild-eyed civil libertarian. In the recent past, he himself has convicted people under this same law. And, before Jean Chretien appointed him to the tribunal, Hadjis was the boss of one of Montreal’s largest multicultural lobby groups, which thrived on ethnic identity politics. But even Hadjis has had enough of the human rights industry and their fetish for political correctness. He ruled that allowing Canadian citizens to express offensive ideas is preferable to living under a government that prosecutes people for expressing those ideas.

As of yesterday, it’s no longer illegal to write politically incorrect things on the Internet. Now it’s illegal to prosecute someone for it.

This will have an immediate impact on the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC), which maintains a large censorship department and has other cases under investigation. If the CHRC were a real police force, and the tribunal were a real court, all existing censorship cases would be dropped, and anyone who was previously convicted would have their convictions voided. Dozens of lawsuits against the government for wrongful prosecution, and compensation for costs, wouldn’t be far behind.

But the tribunal isn’t a real court, and Hadjis acknowledged that he doesn’t have the power to strike down the law, only to declare it unconstitutional and to refuse to apply it. The CHRC has ignored the tribunal before: In this same case, Lemire was routinely denied his procedural rights by the CHRC, including its outrageous tactic of waiting until the trial was over before disclosing all of its documents to him. Even worse, some bizarre CHRC conduct came to light, including confessions by their staff that they joined neo-Nazi organizations and published bigoted comments on the Internet to entrap their targets. A real court would have thrown the case out years ago, and a real police force would have disciplined such rogue conduct.

Still, it’s a great day for Charter values like freedom of speech. But how long will it last? The human rights industry knew this was an important case, and over the past six years it spent millions of tax dollars fighting Lemire. The federal government had six lawyers on the case–four from the CHRC and two from the Justice Minister’s office. And there were five lawyers intervening on behalf of Canada’s tax-subsidized Jewish groups, the B’nai Brith, the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Canadian Jewish Congress (CJC).

Yesterday, the CJC issued a bizarre press release in which it states that, despite the tribunal’s clear ruling, it believes the censorship law “remains constitutional.” In the next few weeks, the CJC and the rest of the human rights litigation industry will clamour for the government to appeal this decision.

It was one thing for Justice Minister Rob Nicholson to defend the constitutionality of a government law that was under attack — that’s standard operating procedure. But now that the law has been found to be illegal, it would be quite another thing for Nicholson to positively act to revive such an illiberal law. Nicholson must also put a leash on the disgraced CHRC, and order it not to appeal either. They’ve already done more than enough damage to Canada’s civil liberties, at great expense to taxpayers.

In fact, just leaving Hadjis’s ruling intact isn’t enough–his ruling illustrates a deeper rot in the CHRC. Hadjis found that the CHRC has become much more aggressive and confrontational in recent years, and at the same time it started applying punitive sanctions — such as issuing fines of tens of thousands of dollars. That toxic mix of abusive conduct with criminal-style punishments was specifically forbidden by the Supreme Court when it last reviewed the censorship laws in 1990.

It’s that bullying corporate culture that Nicholson needs to address. Nicholson should start by ordering Jennifer Lynch, the CHRC’s chief commissioner, to stop her expensive campaign of demonization against the commission’s critics. And then he should call in a retired judge — or the auditor-general — to do a thorough biopsy to find out how Canada’s human rights agency became such a threat to our human rights.

 National Post… Three years after police disrupted an al-Qaeda-inspired bomb plot in Toronto, Canadian extremists are continuing to seek terrorist training, Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan said Friday.

Mr. Van Loan said in an interview that Canadian security officials were still observing a “flow” to terrorist hot spots but that Yemen was replacing Afghanistan and Pakistan as the preferred destination.

“We’re having considerable success,” he told the National Post. “But there still continue to be cases of people flowing to — we don’t know for sure [they are] gaining terrorist training — but certainly some of the destinations and the countries that people are going to, there are strong implications that people are still going and meeting up with known terrorist organizations.”

As the Minister in charge of the RCMP and CSIS, Mr. Van Loan is largely responsible for Ottawa’s counterterrorism program. He was commenting a day after an Ontario judge sentenced Saad Khalid to 14 years in prison for his role in a 2006 plot to detonate truck bombs in downtown Toronto.

The Saudi Arabia-born Khalid was one of the “Toronto 18,” a group of young men that trained at a camp in Washago, Ont., in December 2005. The group had also allegedly sought weapons training in Pakistan and intended to flee there after the bombings.

The Minister said he would have liked to see a tougher sentence but “there is also a clear message here that terrorism won’t be tolerated and a clear message to Canadians that we do have a real problem with homegrown terrorism.”

The term homegrown terrorism refers to violence by Westerners who are not formally connected to terrorist groups but have embraced the al-Qaeda philosophy. Homegrown terrorists sometimes seek training abroad in places such as Pakistan, but the Minister said they were looking increasingly to the Arabian peninsula.

“A lot of the activity that’s been happening recently in north Pakistan and Afghanistan has caused a lot of disruption to the terrorist training camps, to the efforts of the core of al-Qaeda and associated organizations,” Mr. Van Loan said.

“And I think that has had some impact on the flow and traffic there. But there are other parts of the world, too, where we are seeing flows of people from around the world who are potentially linked with Islamic extremism, particularly to places like Yemen and other parts of the Mideast.” Continue Reading →

Prison spends £17,000 on footbaths and toilets for Muslims

A prison spent £17,000 on special toilets for foreigners and footbaths for Muslims.

Figures obtained from the Ministry of Justice under the Freedom of Information Act show that the money was spent on two footbaths, a “squat” toilet and a shower area at Canterbury Prison in Kent, which only holds foreign nationals awaiting deportation and has 92 Muslim inmates.

Footbaths are often used by Muslims as they are required to wash their feet before prayer. However, the area is not exclusive to Muslims and can be used by all inmates.

The expenditure was condemned by the TaxPayers’ Alliance.

Matthew Elliott, chief executive, said: “It’s ridiculous that we are spending so much money on prisoners who should have been deported, rather than kept here as a burden on innocent taxpayers.

“Making basic provision for people’s needs is one thing, but there is no reason at all why there should be special toilets installed. If prison doesn’t have the perfect toilet facilities for you, then you shouldn’t have committed a crime, it isn’t meant to be nice.”

Canterbury Prison is the first in the country to fulfil the unique roll of holding only foreign national prisoners.

The Prison Independent Monitoring Board’s annual report published in July, showed inmates represent 66 different nationalities, speak 33 different languages and practice 17 different religions.

Amy Bushell, of the board, said: “In the prison’s overall refurbishment programme budget, the cost of the installation was relatively small.

“People who chose to use such facilities cover many nationalities, cultures and religions. We would’ve been greatly disturbed if these had been provided for just one group alone, as it would have excluded other individuals from using them.”

The board also stressed no complaints have been received of non-Muslims being denied access to the area.

Other measures have been taken to accommodate the prison’s global population, including a multi-faith area allowing all inmates to practise their religion. Muslim prisoners are permitted one hour’s use every Friday for prayers.

Islamic prayer timetables are provided, the Koran is available on request and an Imam is employed for 18 hours a week to carry out generic work and faith duties.

Muslim quizzed on ‘kidnap’ claim

BBC NEWS … A Muslim community leader from Essex has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

_46280546_ramjanallycopy_newNoor Ramjanally, 36, from Loughton, claimed he had been abducted and bundled into a car on 24 August.

Mr Ramjanally said the alleged kidnappers warned him to stop running a weekly prayer meeting in the area.

A police spokeswoman said they had investigated an allegation of abduction and a 36-year-old man was being held at Harlow police station.

Last week Mr Ramjanally told the BBC kidnappers “knocked at my door and when I answered, they grabbed me by the wrists and marched me to their car”.

He added: “I was thrown into the boot and then they drove me to nearby Epping Forest and threatened me.

“I was very scared, they had a knife placed right against my back.”

He said he believed a leaflet campaign by the British National Party (BNP) in the area had prompted the alleged attack.

But Councillor Pat Richardson, leader of the BNP group on Epping Forest District Council, denied any knowledge of the incident and added: “It’s terrible, I don’t agree with these illegal actions.”

This is not the first time Ramjanally has made claims of racist attacks against him. He has also reported recieving hate mail and having his home firebombed. I wonder if his Sharia compliant insurance will be investigating?

Case of Christian minister dismissed from radio station over alleged ‘Muslim insults’ to go to European Court of Justice

A Christian radio presenter who claims he was sacked for offending Muslims is to have his case considered by the European Court of Justice.

He took the case to an employment tribunal, arguing that he was unfairly dismissed and discriminated against on the grounds of his religion.

The Asian community station in Glasgow, which receives public money, denied discrimination and claimed the tribunal could not hear the case as Mr Masih was not a paid employee.

Now the case has been passed to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg for judges to make an important ruling on whether volunteers are protected by anti-discrimination legislation.

Raymond Williamson, an employment judge, said: “I ask myself the question, ‘can it be right that the respondent, a creature of statute, partly funded out of public funds and set up with the aim of promoting social cohesion, should be able to discriminate on religious grounds against the volunteer staff it is obliged to engage as a condition of its licence?'”

Andrea Minichiello Williams, a barrister and founder of the Christian Legal Centre, which backs alleged victims of religion discrimination, said: “We are grateful for the brave decision of Employment Judge Williamson.

“Rev Masih looks forward greatly to the European Court case as this will give Christians throughout Europe a unique opportunity to have their rights confirmed in law.”

As The Sunday Telegraph reported in January, Mr Masih had hosted a Saturday morning show on Awaz FM for six years before he fell out with management in July 2008.

An on-air discussion with his co-host and a guest about a prominent Muslim speaker, Zakir Naik, led to accusations that they were trying to “create friction”.

Mr Masih later said sorry to listeners and claims he was asked to make another apology at a local mosque, which the station denies.

He says he was sent a letter terminating his contract and telling him that he had “failed to remain neutral” and had allowed his guest to “make comments which led to offending various members of the community”.

A spokesman for Awaz FM said: “We are deeply disappointed that it has come this far. We don’t judge people on creed, colour or religion.”

 RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Much of the world knows Petra, the ancient ruin in modern-day Jordan that is celebrated in poetry as “the rose-red city, ‘half as old as time,'” and which provided the climactic backdrop for “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.”

But far fewer know Madain Saleh, a similarly spectacular treasure built by the same civilization, the Nabateans.

That’s because it’s in Saudi Arabia, where conservatives are deeply hostile to pagan, Jewish and Christian sites that predate the founding of Islam in the 7th century.

But now, in a quiet but notable change of course, the kingdom has opened up an archaeology boom by allowing Saudi and foreign archaeologists to explore cities and trade routes long lost in the desert.

The sensitivities run deep. Archaeologists are cautioned not to talk about pre-Islamic finds outside scholarly literature. Few ancient treasures are on display, and no Christian or Jewish relics. A 4th or 5th century church in eastern Saudi Arabia has been fenced off ever since its accidental discovery 20 years ago and its exact whereabouts kept secret.

In the eyes of conservatives, the land where Islam was founded and the Prophet Muhammad was born must remain purely Muslim. Saudi Arabia bans public displays of crosses and churches, and whenever non-Islamic artifacts are excavated, the news must be kept low-key lest hard-liners destroy the finds.

“They should be left in the ground,” said Sheikh Mohammed al-Nujaimi, a well-known cleric, reflecting the views of many religious leaders. “Any ruins belonging to non-Muslims should not be touched. Leave them in place, the way they have been for thousands of years.”

In an interview, he said Christians and Jews might claim discoveries of relics, and that Muslims would be angered if ancient symbols of other religions went on show. “How can crosses be displayed when Islam doesn’t recognize that Christ was crucified?” said al-Nujaimi. “If we display them, it’s as if we recognize the crucifixion.” Continue Reading →

Qaeda attack on Prince part of wider plot

RIYADH – The failed assassination attempt on Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, Thursday night was planned by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula which operates from Yemen, sources confirmed.
The suicide bomber was recruited by Yemeni Nasser Al-Wohaishi, known also by the nom de guerre Abu Baseer, the sources said.
Al-Wohaishi is the head of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which had announced in an Internet posting last January the merger of the Saudi and Yemeni branches of Al-Qaeda.
The merger was seen by analysts as an attempt to consolidate after the Saudi branch of Al-Qaeda was practically wiped out following a vigorous counter-terrorism campaign led by Prince Muhammad.
According to Okaz sources, the bomber who detonated himself only a meter away from the Prince was part of a terrorist cell formed to target oil installations and public figures.
The sources said the bomber stayed in an apartment on Sari Street, northwest of Jeddah, Thursday.
He had slipped into the Kingdom from Mareb, east of Sana’a, Yemen’s Foreign Minister Abu-Bakr Al-Qirbi told The Associated Press.
“He was in Yemen,” said Al-Qirbi. “He claimed that he was going to hand himself over to Saudi authorities and make a statement to his followers to abandon Al-Qaeda principles.”

A branch of Al Queda moved into a mosque in Gaza and informed Hamas that they had become too liberal and that Al Queda was taking over and challenged Hamas to come and throw them out. A Challenge Hamas gleefully accepted. Below, is some footage allegedly taken by Fatah supporters of the execution of some captured Al Queda members by Hamas.
Very big thank you to Ron Tennenbaum for doing the translation. This is what it looks like when two separate factions of the religion of peace get together for a love in. One group clearly felt that the other had lost the way to perfect peace and needed to be killed for it.

Hamas crushes al Qaeda-inspired group in Gaza

RAFAH, Gaza Strip — Hamas crushed an al Qaeda-inspired group in an hours-long standoff that came to a fiery end when a large explosion killed the radical Muslim group’s leader inside his Gaza home on Saturday.

The fighting was sparked by a rebellious sermon by the group’s leader, and his dramatic death put an end to the greatest internal challenge to Hamas’ rule since it took control of Gaza two years ago.

In all, the fighting claimed 24 lives — including that of a senior Hamas official who Israel says masterminded the abduction of an Israeli soldier. It was the highest death toll in the territory since the Israel-Hamas war earlier this year.

The crackdown targeted Jund Ansar Allah, or the Soldiers of the Companions of God, one of a number of small, shadowy groups that are even more radical than Hamas. The decisive confrontation, in which 95 group members were arrested, solidified Hamas’ iron rule in Gaza.

The radical groups have sought to expand the Palestinians’ battle beyond Israel to include the Western World as well. And in Gaza they have tried to enforce a strict version of Islamic law to which Hamas has not agreed. They have also attacked Internet cafes and wedding parties over behaviour they consider improper.

The crackdown highlights Hamas’ desire to limit its struggle to the Palestinian cause and to distance itself from militants espousing al Qaeda’s ideology, though the United States, Israel and others consider Hamas a terrorist organization.

The fighting broke out late Friday when Hamas security men surrounded a mosque in the southern Gaza town of Rafah on the Egyptian border where about 100 members of Jund Ansar Allah were holed up.

Their leader, Abdel-Latif Moussa, provoked Hamas by declaring Gaza an Islamic emirate during a Friday prayer sermon and warning its leaders against invading his mosque.

The Hamas forces raided the mosque, setting off a fierce gunbattle. Flares lit up the sky and the sound of machine-gun fire echoed throughout the night.

Moussa escaped with some bodyguards to his home where another standoff ensued. Early Saturday, an explosion went off as Hamas was trying to convince Moussa to surrender, said Ihab Ghussein, a Hamas Interior Ministry spokesman.

“The so-called Moussa has committed suicide … killing a mediator who had been sent to him to persuade him and his followers to hand themselves over to the government,” Ghussein told The Associated Press.

It is unclear whether Moussa detonated the explosives vest he was wearing, or whether it was one of his bodyguards.

Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said 24 people were killed, including six Hamas police officers and an 11-year-old girl. At least 150 people were wounded, he said.

Hamas confirmed one of its casualties was a high-ranking commander, Abu Jibril Shimali, whom Israel said orchestrated the capture three years ago of Sgt. Gilad Schalit, an Israeli soldier who is still being held by Hamas.

Jund Ansar Allah first came to public attention in June after it claimed responsibility for a failed attempt to attack Israel from Gaza on horseback. The group claims inspiration from al Qaeda’s ultraconservative brand of Islam, but no direct links have been confirmed.

The group has been critical of Hamas for not imposing a more severe form of Islamic law and for maintaining a cease-fire with Israel for the past seven months.

Hamas says it does not impose its religious views on others, but only seeks to set a pious example for people to follow. Hamas also maintains that its struggle is against Israel only, while the radical splinter groups call for a global jihad against the entire Western world.

“They are inspired by unbalanced ideologies and in the past they carried out a number of explosions targeting Internet cafes and wedding parties,” said Ghussein, adding that the groups do not have any external ties.

Israel has charged that terrorists with links to Osama bin Laden have infiltrated Gaza. Hamas has denied this, while trying to distance itself from the more radical groups.

“All of this unacceptable behaviour is rejected in our society. We are a Muslim community and we don’t need sick-minded people to dictate their agenda on our people,” said Hamas lawmaker Ismail al-Ashkar.

This weekend’s violence marked the most serious internal opposition Hamas has faced since it seized control of Gaza and ousted its rivals in the Fatah movement in a five-day civil war in June 2007.

The Gaza Strip and the West Bank are together supposed to make up a future Palestinian state, but the rival governments in the two territories — located on opposite sides of Israel — are complicating Palestinian efforts to gain independence.

Fatah official Saeb Erekat was quick to comment on the developments, saying “Gaza is going down the drain in chaos and lawlessness.”

Also Saturday, Hamas said it was investigating the launching of 11 homemade rockets from Gaza into Egypt. Only five of the rockets detonated, injuring a young girl, according to Egyptian security forces.

Two police forces are investigating three robberies which have been carried out recently by men dressed in the Islamic garment.

Bedfordshire Police is investigating robberies in two separate travel agents.

A force spokesman said that in the first, a man dressed in a black burkha went into First Choice Travel in The Broadway, Dunstable, on Tuesday July 7, at around 10.15am.

He threatened two female members of staff with a knife, then took a “substantial amount of cash” and escaped through a back door, police said.

More than a month later, on Sunday August 16, a man dressed in a black burkha threatened two female members of staff at Thomson travel agent in George Street, Luton at about 10.55am.

He made off with a large amount of cash, and escaped through the front door before heading off on foot.

In a third incident on Monday in neighbouring Oxfordshire, armed robbers – one wearing a burkha – stole watches worth £150,000.

Three men went into Michael Jones Jewellers in Banbury High Street at about 2.20pm.

They threatened four members of staff, a man and three women, with what is described as a handgun and an axe.

The men then left the shop and got into a waiting black Audi Estate, which then drove off towards of Broad Street.

Police said the men were of Asian appearance and two were wearing dark clothing with their faces covered. The third was dressed in a burkha.

Detectives from both forces have called for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Constable Steve Guerin, from Bedfordshire Police, said: “Officers are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents are connected but the pattern the offenders have followed is strikingly similar.”

One family’s aggressive behaviour is forcing 23 other families out of an apartment block in Helsingør

A tiff between neighbours has turned into a horror movie for 23 families who face being moved out of an apartment building in Helsingør due to the aggressive behaviour of one other family.

Life has reportedly been hell for the 23 families since the family in question moved into Lejerbo housing association’s Unit 32 rental flats on Belvederevej last October.

The residents have allegedly faced harassment, violence and threats from the family on a daily basis.

The conflict peaked on Monday while the family accused of the rotten behaviour was entertaining relatives. Their children reportedly began throwing rocks and spitting at other families in the building’s playground area. When they were told to stop, their parents came down to the playground armed with knives and clubs.

A melee ensued and two residents were injured and taken to hospital, while one man was arrested.

Threats have since followed the incident, including the Lebanese family spray painting, ‘We’ve killed a man. Watch your step. Ha ha!’ on the sidewalk outside the building.

But instead of the aggressive family being forced to move out, Lejerbo housing association has instead volunteered to relocate the other families at no charge. The reason is that the one family cannot be evicted until the matter is settled through a court order.

Birgitte Wittendorff, head of Helsingør’s social services department, said the city did not have the power to negotiate solutions in household or neighbour disputes. But the city would step in and evict the family as soon as it had the legal means to do so.

The 23 families previously filed their case with the Tenant Complaints Board and the family was ‘evicted’ by the board – a decision that must be upheld in the court before it can be actualised.

In the meantime, many of the building’s residents were reportedly living in fear, especially those who testifying in the eviction case.

Lejerbo’s attorney said he was trying to get the case heard in the courts as soon as possible, but that could take weeks or even months.

The association’s Steffen Boel Jørgensen said it was ‘ridiculous that the 23 families had to move, but tenants were calling up and they had been forced out of their apartment to seek refuge with family and friends.
