Islamic students refusing to share “multi-faith” prayer room

From Secularism.org:

A row over an Islamic prayer room that was recently closed at City University in London is threatening to turn into a religious war as Muslim students refuse to share a “multi-faith” space with non-Muslims. Instead, the Muslim students are using the pavement outside the college for their prayers.

The Muslim students say they can’t share with others because “a vast number of Muslim scholars throughout history believe it is impermissible for Muslims to offer prayers in a place where [a god] other than our Lord, Allah, is worshipped”. All-male groups have been praying on the pavement outside City since 15 February, with more than 200 reportedly turning up for Friday prayers in Northampton Square.

The protest follows a fight between members of the City Islamic Society and a gang of youths last November outside a building which previously housed the Muslim prayer room. Police described the attack, in which two students were stabbed, as racially aggravated. Earlier the same week, students reported being pelted with stones as they left the room. Continue Reading →

New “CAIR Observatory” website connects the dots on CAIR’s foreign funding and lobbying

March 17, 2010: WASHINGTON, DC – The Center for Security Policy announces the launch of the website CAIR Observatory at www.cairobservatory.org.

The website presents comprehensive open-source evidence and analysis alleging that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has acted as a foreign agent on behalf of Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) requires any agent of a foreign principal – including agents of foreign states, political parties, corporations, non-governmental organizations and even individuals – to register with the U.S. Department of Justice as a foreign agent.

The centerpiece of the website is the report “CAIR and the Foreign Agents Registration Act,” which details the foreign funding, foreign direction and domestic political influence operations of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the United States.

The report documents these CAIR activities as a foreign agent:
• CAIR received at least $2,192,203 in Contributions, Income and Money from foreign principals in the form of 10 distinct transactionsReceived a $2,106,251 mortgage loan from a foreign principal for their Washington, D.C. headquarters
• CAIR secured the promise of at least $54,500,000 in pledges from foreign principals
• CAIR met and coordinated with foreign principals on at least 30 occasions
• CAIR engaged in at least 50 political influence operations on behalf of foreign principals in the United States
The Center has additional evidence that cannot be made public at this time documenting an additional $2.4 million in foreign donations and loans given to CAIR since 2000.

The goal of the “CAIR Observatory” (http://www.cairobservatory.org/) is to build a model for researching and compiling evidence of illegal behavior by Muslim Brotherhood front organizations, with a focus on organizations operating in the United States as unregistered foreign agents for the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and its member states.

The website’s name– “CAIR Observatory”– is a direct counter to the so-called “Islamophobia Observatory” maintained by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).  The Jeddah, Saudi Arabia-based OIC has been a contributor to CAIR, and the two have a history of coordinated meetings, methodologies and goals.  The website will be updated regularly with new evidence on CAIR’s ongoing activities as a currently unregistered foreign agent.
The Center for Security Policy is a non-profit, non-partisan national security organization that specializes in identifying policies, actions, and resource needs that are vital to American security and then ensures that such issues are the subject of both focused, principled examination and effective action by recognized policy experts, appropriate officials, opinion leaders, and the general public.

Erdogan urges German Turks not to integrate

The Turkish government has reportedly angered Turkish-German politicians by inviting them to an Istanbul conference and then urging them to resist political and social integration in their adopted homeland.

At the meeting last month, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Turks living in foreign countries to take out citizenship of the new homelands – not to integrate, but rather to become more politically active, according to the website of news magazine Der Spiegel.

Ali Ertan Toprak, deputy chairman of the Alevi community in Germany, told the magazine government representatives had said: “We have to inject European culture with Turkish.”

Erdogan told the meeting countries that did not allow dual citizenship violated basic rights and also likened Islamophobia to anti-Semitism.

Participants told Spiegel that Erdogan repeated elements of his widely criticised speech in Cologne in 2008 in which he said: “Assimilation is a crime against humanity.” Continue Reading →

Norwegian TV pulls clip from youtube

Here is an interesting little 16 minute video essay about a white Norwegian family that decided to live the multicultural experiment using their son as a Guinea pig.  A youtuber who goes by TheThirdLink decided it was important enough to subtitle in English and post to youtube.

The Norwegian TV station that did this clip made youtube take it down, but interestingly none of the other clips that this same user also had from the station.

In any case it is an important clip. Please watch and spread the link to all you know before it gets pulled from where it is now. Also, please download it for yourselves, if you know how, so that it can be mirrored in future and perhaps sent by email as a smaller clip.

Eeyore for Vlad.

An Irish Islamic website which argues for the introduction of “Sharia” law in Ireland had nearly 270,000 hits last month alone.

The site is targeted at what it calls Irish “O’Muslims,” the Muslim Public Affairs Council website, www.mpac.ie.

Sharia refers to the “way” Muslims should live or the “path” they must follow. Sharia is derived from the sacred text of Islam (the Koran) and traditions gathered from the life of the Islamic prophet Mohammed. Sharia deals with many aspects of life, including crime, politics, economics, banking, business, contracts, family, sexuality, hygiene, and social issues.

An Irish Islamic website which argues for the introduction of “Sharia” law in Ireland had nearly 270,000 hits last month alone.

An editorial post says introducing Sharia is a patriotic duty.

“And who could doubt that establishing the authority of Allah in the land is in the best interests of Ireland?” it asks. Continue Reading →

More Pakistani Muslim plans to attack Indian civilians

INDIAN police say they have arrested two men for planning to attack a fuel facility and a shopping centre in Mumbai, where Pakistani gunmen killed 166 people 15 months ago.

Mumbai’s anti-terrorism police chief, K.P. Raghuvansh, told reporters that the two men were Indian and had taken orders from inside Pakistan.

They intended to target a fuel storage complex owned by state-run energy firm Oil and Natural Gas as well as a popular shopping arcade, he said.

“These two have been in constant touch with their handlers sitting across the border in Pakistan, who want to do something in India,” he said.

“When we thought they were planning to act, we arrested them.”

India has blamed the Pakistan-based Islamist group Lashkar-e-Taiba for the November 2008 attacks on luxury hotels, a restaurant and a cultural centre in Mumbai.

Nine of the ten people who carried out the attacks died as security forces fought to regain control of the city.

The sole surviving gunman, who is currently on trial, has said he is a Pakistani national.

The Press Trust of India news agency named the two men arrested late on Saturday as Abdul Latif Rashid, 29, and Riyaz Ali, 23.

Last month 11 people were killed in a blast at a restaurant in the city of Pune, near Mumbai.

A previously unknown Islamist group claimed responsibility.

Backlash at the mosque The Telegraph

The influence of Muslim fundamentalists in east London is being challenged, says Andrew Gilligan .

In the two weeks since the Islamic Forum of Europe were exposed by The Sunday Telegraph and Channel 4’s Dispatches as hardline fundamentalists secretly infiltrating the political system, they have been furiously protesting their “proven track record of community cohesion”. Last week, however, the organisation showed its true face.

“We’ve tracked you down,” said the IFE’s community affairs co-ordinator, Azad Ali, in a webcast targeting the Channel 4 reporter “Atif”, who went undercover at the IFE’s headquarters, the East London Mosque, filming the group’s true views – and its boasts that it controlled the local Tower Hamlets council. “Yes, Atif, we’ve got a picture of you and a lot more than you thought we had. We’ve tracked you down to different places. And if people are gonna turn what I’ve just said into a threat, that’s their fault, innit?”

Mr Ali’s words sit strangely with his role as an official advisor to the Director of Public Prosecutions, Keir Starmer, and to the police, but perhaps his annoyance is understandable. The undercover reporters filmed him saying: “Democracy, if it means not implementing the sharia, no one’s going to agree with that.”

The reporters found that, far from its protestations of being merely a “social welfare organisation”, the IFE is an organised political movement dedicated to creating an “Islamic social and political order” through “entryism” into mainstream democratic institutions. Continue Reading →

Al Qaeda suspect had worked at nuke plants in NJ and Pa

By Chelsea Conaboy

INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

The American arrested in a sweep of al-Qaeda members worked as a laborer at five nuclear plants in South Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland, federal officials said today.

Sharif Mobley had a “red badge” clearance, the highest level a laborer can obtain, while working on at the Salem-Hope Creek nuclear plants in Salem County, according to a spokesman from the local union of which he was a member.

Sharif was arrested last week with suspected al-Qaeda members in Yemen and officials said he then killed a guard while trying to escape from a hospital. He is under FBI investigation in Delaware. Law enforcement sources have said the investigation is terror-related.

In addition to PSEG’s Salem-Hope Creek plants on Artificial Island, Mobley worked at the Peach Bottom, Limerick and Three Mile Island I plants in Pennsylvania and at Clavert Cliffs in Maryland, according to an e-mail from Neil Sheehan, a spokesman for the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Britain: plans for mosque at Sandhurst thrown out

Battle of the Minarets: Surrey residents say a Mosque at Sandhurst is an act of provocation, their critics say they are racist

Victory was being celebrated yesterday in the leafy avenues and Victorian villas of Camberley.

In a triumph for local democracy, a plan to build a huge £3 million mosque with two 100ft minarets, which would have been visible from Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, was thrown out on Wednesday night by the town’s councillors.

A thousand people from the affluent Surrey town queued to get into the meeting, some waiting for hours from 9am to get in.

Video on voting fraud,Muslim areas of Holland

subtitles and description by our ever vigilant ‘V.H.’

A short news clip about voter fraud in Rotterdam, Holland, seemingly against the Leefbaar Rotterdam (“Livable Rotterdam”) party, the orphaned party of Pim Fortuyn in that city, to the benefit of the local PvdA (Labour Party, Socialists). The same happened in other highly Muslim areas of Holland. The PVV is not (yet) represented in the municipality of Rotterdam, but Geert Wilders has always openly supported Leefbaar Rotterdam.

Something is Rotten in Rotterdam

Taken verbatim from Gates of Vienna:

Our Flemish correspondent VH has compiled a report about massive voting fraud during the recent municipal elections in Rotterdam, mainly in immigrant neighborhoods. His account reminds me of what happened in Philadelphia in November 2008, when armed New Black Panther auxiliaries at the polling stations made certain that white voters understood who was in charge of Philly.

VH includes this explanatory note:

What happened in Rotterdam is something for others in Europe to be aware of at their next local or national elections. An official from Leefbaar Rotterdam visited polling stations in immigrant neighborhoods early in the morning, to see whether the voting process went neatly and according to law, but he was shocked at what he encountered, at almost any polling station he went to visit. Many complaints and witness reports followed later that day (when the outcome was still fully unknown). This happened previously in Rotterdam and Amsterdam in 2006, and also occurred in other cities last week. But it seems the worst cases were of fraud and intimidation were in Rotterdam.

Rotterdam vote fraudIn the Netherlands, immigrants without a Dutch passport and/or knowledge of Dutch language are allowed to vote in municipal elections.

The photo at right was taken at one of those polling stations, showing people together in a voting booth telling someone who to vote for.

Below is an article from Contradicere, as translated by VH:

Municipal elections in Rotterdam: what happened?

by Contradicere

Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb admits that unauthorized things took place in the polling stations in his city.

Aboutaleb [finally] admits that it has been proven that in at least 13 polling stations voters were influenced to vote for a certain party. Sometimes even by parties present there. Possibly even by the staff present there.

In a number of polling stations people huddled together in a voting booth. In a significant number of cases this was done under the eye of the polling staff, who did not interfere. In some cases it was tolerated.

There are cases which go beyond imagination. In a number of cases witnesses speak in particular about the elderly — including indigenous people — where intimidated even into the voting booth to vote for a “certain” (read: PvdA, Socialists, Labour) party.

In some cases people came into the polling stations with a letter especially for those who do not speak the Dutch language, which contained instructions on which party to vote for (PvdA) and even which candidate. Continue Reading →

Seven Muslims caught plotting death of Swedish Cartoonist

Seven held in Ireland over plot to assassinate cartoonist Lars Vilks

By Sarah Stack, Press Association

Tuesday, 9 March 2010

Seven Muslims were arrested in the Irish Republic today over an alleged plot to assassinate a Swedish cartoonist who depicted the Prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog, police said.

Al-Qa’ida put a $100,000 bounty on the head of cartoonist Lars Vilks after a newspaper published his cartoon.

The four men and three women were detained after an investigation involving European security agencies and the United States’ CIA and FBI.

Mr Vilks, who lives in an isolated area of Sweden, was put under police protection after threats were made against his life.

When al-Qa’ida put the bounty on the cartoonist’s head in 2007 it offered a 50 per cent bonus if Mr Vilks was “slaughtered like a lamb” by having his throat cut, while another $50,000 was put on the life of Ulf Johansson, editor-in-chief of Nerikes Allehanda, the local newspaper which printed the cartoon.

However those arrested are not believed to be members of the terrorist group.

It understood some have converted to the Muslim faith.

The arrests were made at around 10am as officers conducted a number of raids.

Gardai said the operation was supported by members from National Support Services and the Republic’s anti-terrorist Special Detective Unit.

A Garda spokesman added: “Throughout the investigation An Garda Siochana has been working closely with law enforcement agencies in the United States and in a number of European countries.”
