CBN does an exceptional primer on Iquan, or the Islamic Brotherhood.

Frankly, this is something that most readers of Vlad will already have some idea about, if not know as much as is here in this excellent informative and well produced video by the Christian Broadcast Network. Erick stakelbeck does his usual thorough job of investigation and explanation and it begs the question. Why is a small Christian media outfit doing the job the large media giants simply will not do, FOX not withstanding.

My guess is, a combination of editorial cowardice, and editorial disbelief that these issues are as presented here, as well as fear of a far left government in the US shutting down any media that might present Islam in a bad light much as it appears to be doing to the CIA and FBI.

In any case, please enjoy this expose on the Islamic Brotherhood in the US and in general, and spread the link to all who need to know this.

Debbie Schlussel sues Dearborne school for discrimination against Kufaar

Schlussel Files Federal Suit Against Muslim Principal, Dearborn Public Schools Over Discrimination Against Christians; HOW YOU CAN HELP

By Debbie Schlussel

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 7, 2010

DETROIT, MI–The Law Offices of Debbie Schlussel, a Detroit-area law firm, today, announced the filing of a federal lawsuit against Imad Fadlallah, the Muslim man who was, until July, the principal of Dearborn’s Fordson High School, a tax-funded public high school, the student body of which is overwhelmingly Muslim (more than 90%). The suit is also against Fadlallah’s employer at all times relevant to the actions referred to in the suit, the Dearborn Public Schools, which, as noted in the complaint, was aware of the behavior alleged in the suit.  As stated in the lawsuit, the action filed by Schlussel’s clients, Bryan Purcell and Georgene Stergalas, concerns the continued harassment of them by Fadlallah and other school personnel because they are Christian and not Muslim or of Arabic heritage.  The suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

The Ottoman Empire Reborn

by Baron Bodissey

Much public concern about Islam is focused — with good reason — on Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. Turkey, however, is an Islamic dark horse. We tend to think of it as Western, secular, and not a threat, but this is a mistake. It is dangerous not just because it has poured millions of unassimilated immigrants into Western Europe (and Milli Görüs along with them), but also because it is a member of NATO with a population that is relatively well-educated and in the midst of an Islamic revival.

Part of that revival involves the dream of a new Caliphate in the form of an Ottoman Empire upgraded for the 21st century. With the OIC — headed by a Turk, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu — gathering the Ummah together, the nascent Caliphate is ready to burst forth.

Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has obvious ambitions to become the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire reborn. He and Mr. Ihsanoglu may have to duke it out to decide which one is to assume the throne of the Caliph.

Many thanks to JLH for translating the following essay about Turkey from Politically Incorrect.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan: The New Ottoman Empire
Erdogan: “We Are Now the World Power Turkey”

by Michael Stürzenberger and Eckhardt Kiwitt

It is an eerie scene with great symbolic power: the Turkish leader stands on a stage in front of a large world map from which sprouts an oversized tree with the Turkish flag. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited politicians of Turkish descent from all of Europe to this “world congress” in Istanbul, to initiate them into his policies. And these seem to be directed toward a new Ottoman Empire.

Original pictures of this incendiary event were “controversially” published in BR magazine. The reporter tells us that great-power-politics was being practiced here, with the motto: “Turks of all lands, unite.” With perfect seriousness, Erdogan said: “We are now the world power Turkey. Everyone should know that. Turkey is no longer a country whose agenda is set from outside, but a country that sets the agenda in the world.”

Eyewitness Ali Ertan Toprak, vice-president of the Alevite community of Germany, reported that the 1500-2000 politicians present were urged to “inoculate” the European culture with the Turkish in order to “Turkicise” these countries. Video follows [see the PI post for the video].

Only one representative from Germany spoke — the deputy general secretary of Milli Görüs, Mustafa Yeneroglu. Is it really necessary to mention that this organization is being surveilled in Germany because of activities dangerous to democracy?

Erdogan made unmistakably clear that “Islamophobia” in his opinion is a “crime against humanity.” This pugnacious concept, created by Ayatollah Khomeini, is intended to strangle Islam criticism in its cradle. An important element of Erdogan’s overall strategy of reaching out from Turkey to Islamize and Turkicize Germany. The deeply devout Erdogan may with assurance be defined as a fundamentalist. As a youth, he was a member of the radical Islamic organization Akincilar Dernegi. Erdogan is considered a political foster son Necmettin Erbakans and also belonged to the Milli Görüs movement. From 1994-1998, he was mayor of Istanbul and deputy chair of the Welfare Party RP, which was accused of being sympathetic to jihad and to the introduction of sharia. In 1998, this party was banned by the Turkish supreme court. Erdogan was banned for life from politics and sat in jail for ten months. The basis for the judgment was a speech with the legendary passage: “Democracy is only the train we board until we reach our goal. The mosques are our barracks, the minarets are our bayonets, the domes are our helmets, and the faithful are our soldiers.” Continue Reading →

Italy: Minister is ‘not a mosque builder’

Italy: Minister is ‘not a mosque builder’

Milan, 6 Sept. (AKI) – Italy’s interior minister brushed off the possibility of his government helping Milan’s muslim community replace a mosque that was recently closed to keep the “public order.”

“I’m an interior minister, not a mosque builder,” Roberto Maroni (photo) told reporters on Sunday.

Following the recent closing of Milan’s biggest mosque, Milan’s archbishop Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi called for more tolerance from the city’s municipal government toward the Muslim community.

“Milan’s civic institutions must guarantee everybody the freedom of religion and the right to worship,” Tettamanzi told Italian newspaper La Repubblica in an interview published on Saturday.

Authorities in Milan couched the reason for recent closing of the city’s mosque as a security issue because its small size could not accommodate all the faithful during Friday prayers. Crowds every week would spill out on to the street.

“We’ve already solved the problem of the mosque,” Maroni said. “It was a problem of public order and we solved it.”

Maroni’s xenophobic Northern League party has been vocal in its opposition to mosques. Among its anti-Muslim moves was to parade a pig over land where a mosque was slated to be constructed.

Milan has 208,021 immigrants making up 16 percent of its population – more than double the national average of 6.5 percent, a Milan city council report said earlier this month.

Opposing Hassan al-Banna and the Muslim Brotherhood Is Not Some Kind of Racism

A reply to Issam Saleh, the Muslim Brotherhood leader who threatens to sue Edmontonians opposed to the opening of an Islamic school in their neighbourhood

By Marc Lebuis and Étienne Harvey

After they learned about the Muslim Association of Canada’s intentions to run an Islamic school in their Lessard/Gariepy area of Edmonton, 60% of the residents signed a petition opposing the project. [CTV – August 20, 2010]

Initially their objections were based on zoning considerations. As they learned more and more about the ideological background of the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), their objections came to include the danger of having an organisation openly supporting jihad and suicide bombing that would run a school in their neighbourhood. The Lessard Petition Campaign has set up its own website to explain the motives supporting its opposition.

The MAC is the Canadian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), an organization whose motto concludes with “Jihad is our way” and “Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope”. A previous article published on Point de Bascule exposed the totalitarian ideology of the organization and that of its founder Hassan al-Banna. On its own website, the MAC pledges to implement al-Banna’s ideology as “the best representation of Islam”.

Unable to refute the objections brought up by the residents, Issam Saleh, the MAC leader in Edmonton, tried to silence his critics by threatening to sue them for so-called “Islamophobia” in the Edmonton Sun [August 19, 2010].

The very notion of Islamophobia has been developed in the late eighties by Islamists to make their critics pass for irrational haters of Muslims. The MB’s recourse to this concept is flawed for the simple fact that many of its critics are Muslims themselves. Many of the most eloquent expositions written against the MB’s ideology have been produced by Muslims. Many of the most courageous stands against the MB have been taken by Muslims. Consequently, condemning the MB cannot be equated to condemning Muslims in general. Continue Reading →

Thilo Sarrazin, How Germany is commiting suicide by Islam

Thilo Sarrazin is a member of the board of the Bundesbank in Germany. For several years his outspoken opinions about immigrants have caused controversy, but the real trouble began with the recent publication of his new book, “Deutschland schafft sich ab — Wie wir unser Land aufs Spiel setzen” (“Abolishing Germany — How we’re putting our country in jeopardy”), which describes the danger Germany faces due to the large number of Muslims now residing within its borders.

Surprise! Canadian Muslim leaders ‘shocked’ at Ottawa terror cell bust

From The National Post

Canadian Muslim leaders shocked at Ottawa arrests

Megan O’Toole, National Post · Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010

Canadian Muslim leaders were variously stunned, outraged and wary at news from Ottawa on Wednesday that the RCMP had broken up an alleged terrorism cell with suspected links to al-Qaeda.

Few details were released about the people rounded up in the bust, but they are suspected of planning a terrorist attack in the country, and authorities anticipate more arrests.

“It’s sad to hear such news. It’s disturbing,” said Imam Habeeb Alli, secretary of the Canadian Council of Imams. “It’s very disturbing, and I hope the proper wheels of justice will be set in motion to ensure we get to the bottom of the story.”

The Muslim Canadian Congress expressed “shock” at the developments, but also commended RCMP for the operation. Continue Reading →

Just the Facts, Imam

Canada Free Press… Just the facts, Imam. A Muslim terrorist attack damaged a building, allowing Muslims to pick it up for a fraction of the price, in order to build a mosque on the spot. Some people might say that sort of thing is tacky. A little like coming by to make an offer on the house, after your cousin murdered the entire family who lived there. Sure, you might claim that you’re not responsible, but it just doesn’t look good. Especially once you start paling around with your cousin, and suggesting that maybe he was just misunderstood. And maybe that family brought it on themselves.

But the media still insists that Islam had nothing to do with 9/11. Or if it had anything to do with 9/11, it was those “other Muslims”, not these Muslims. The media isn’t really good at explaining the difference between these Muslims and those Muslims. Often the media insists that those Muslims are actually these Muslims. Sometimes they claim that those Muslims are actually not Muslims at all, but people who are upset about foreclosures and work related stress.

When Malik Hasan opened fire at Fort Hood, the media spent thousands of gallons of ink claiming that he was suffering from some airborne form of PTSD that he picked up from the soldiers he was abusing—all evidence to the contrary. When the Times Square Bomber tried to kill a few thousand New Yorkers, the media claimed that he was upset because his house had been foreclosed on. Inconveniently enough, he turned out to be a Muslim terrorist, complete with his very own Al Queda martyrdom video. Continue Reading →

Canada Free Press:

Islam Means the End of Religious Freedom

By Daniel Greenfield  Sunday, August 15, 2010

image

At an Iftar dinner in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama proclaimed that he supports the building of the Ground Zero mosque as part of his “unshakable commitment to religious freedom”. Which of course sounds very noble and good, until you ask a single question, Where is the religious freedom in the Muslim world?

Obama has made the case for Islam in America, on the grounds that America’s religious diversity promotes the religious freedom of all. Islam no less than any other belief system. Yet if introducing Islam into America promotes religious freedom, then why is there no religious freedom in the Muslim world? Why are churches firebombed in Malaysia because Christians presumed to use the word Allah? Why are non-Muslims forbidden to enter the city of Mecca, from which Jews and Christians were ethnically cleansed by Mohammed? Why are Coptic Christians being oppressed and humiliated by the Egyptian government? Why are Muslims murdering Buddhist teachers in Thailand? There are a thousand examples, all of which add up to a single conclusion—Muslims demand religious freedom, yet are not willing to give it to others.

Jews are fleeing European cities in record numbers because of Muslim persecution

This has ominous implications for the prospects of religious freedom in America. Nor is this a theoretical issue. Jews are fleeing European cities in record numbers because of Muslim persecution. The recent case of Malmo, highlights the fact that Islam actually threatens religious diversity. Simply to protect themselves, Malmo’s 650 Jews were forced to spend half a million Kronor a year. The situation is much the same across Europe, as Jewish institutions are forced to become fortresses. What the Nazis did not succeed in accomplishing in Europe, the rise of Islam seems to be doing.

Nor are Christians safe, they are simply in the majority for now. But Christians and other religions were once in the majority in the Middle East. Until they were massacred and repressed by the tidal wave of Islam. Today the religions that were once a majority, whether it is Jews in Israel, Christians in Byzantium or Zoroastrians in Persia, have become oppressed minorities. Some may take comfort in the notion that “It can’t happen here.” But the fate of Europe’s Jews, shows that it can happen here. And that it is happening here.

Religious freedom requires that the religions which enjoy it, agree to tolerate each other. If they do not, instead of religious freedom, there is a religious war.

Looking at the religious map of the world today, Islam has grown in non-Muslim countries, while non-Muslims continue to dwindle in Muslim countries. And even the number of non-Muslim religious believers in non-Muslim countries dwindles, when Muslims are introduced into the equation. If Islam were a fish in a fish tank, it’s clear that it would be a piranha. If you put it into the fish tank, very soon you have a lot of Islamic piranhas and only a handful of other fish that survive, only because the piranhas need to keep some of them alive in order to feed on them. If you don’t like that picture, take an honest look at the Muslim world, with its dominant Muslim caste and inferior non-Muslims living in the cracks of their walls, and draw a better one.

Over and over again, the rise of Islam has meant the eradication of religious freedom Continue Reading →

Time to Leave — France Is Lost

by Baron Bodissey at Gates of Vienna:

Alibekov #1
Our French correspondent Robert Marchenoir has compiled a report based on a translated blog post by a disaffected Muslim, and has added his own commentary.

Time to leave — France is lost
by Robert Marchenoir

Alibekov has had just about enough. This 30-year-old conservative blogger, French-born, newlywed, with a good university education, has just decided to turn his back on his home country, where his grandparents hid Jews during the Second World War. He has almost completed his immigration papers for Canada. He is leaving soon. Next step, possibly: the United States.

After university, Alibekov lived and worked for six years in Africa. He returned home a short while ago to the Paris region. What he saw horrified him. Last June, he filed this post on his blog, Bouteille à l’Amer, which he shares with his friend Memento Mouloud. All the facts in the following eyewitness report are genuine, he told me — only the names have been changed:

First of all, let us extend a warm welcome to Abiba. She has just arrived from Cameroon, thanks to a tourist visa her husband got her by bribing some official. Abiba plans to give birth in France. She expects the authorities will be kind enough to grant her legal residency status, because of her child. She will spend one or two years in low-cost hotels, moving from time to time. [The government will pick up the bill — translator.] After that, the happy family will be granted a city council flat by the social services, on the grounds of her being a single mother. They will also provide her with a job, so she can pay part of the rent.

This valuable advice has been passed on to her by her aunt, who has been living in France for five years. Her aunt had received it previously from a cousin, who has been living in France for ten years.

We are headed for the district of Seine-Saint-Denis, in order to attend a funeral in an African family.

[Seine-Saint-Denis is a district adjacent to the northern limit of Paris proper. The first bishop of Paris, Saint Denis, was buried there in the 3rd century. French kings have been buried in the basilica of the town of Saint-Denis since the 7th century. The ill-famed district, also known by its administrative number, “the 93rd”, is nowadays one of the most heavily populated by immigrants.]

We reach high-rise concrete buildings, planted next to some wasteland. I am immediately reminded of The Dormant Beast, [the sci-fi comic book] by Enki Bilal: an apocalyptic landscape, repulsively filthy, and an out-of-this world population.

Bearded men with moronic looks, dressed as if they were in Islamabad, come out from nowhere, huddling together. I try to catch their eyes, but their gaze remains perfectly alien to me. All I can see in it is some sort of mystical fear, mixed with unfathomable stupidity.

Alibekov #2Slouching on a bench next to tuned-up cars with blaring stereos, some youngsters listen to “Raï and B” music (so as to assume a “French” identity, as opposed to an American one). They dutifully proceed to create a tapestry of glistening spit to stamp their feet on.

Next to the front door lies a heap of refuse originating from the local McDonald’s, KFC, and grocery store. Banana peels and peanut shells degrade into a strange form of humus.

A diminutive white lady, followed by her ten years-old son, makes a desperate effort to keep the place bearable: while on her way, she stoops to pick up three discarded bags of French fries, and throws them in the bin where they belong. As soon as she walks into the lobby, a youngster dumps his uneaten shawarma right in front of the glass door.

We proceed towards the Eastern building, staircase B. The corridor is flanked by mail boxes with Arab names, sometimes barely emerging from under fading graffiti.

[Expletive omitted.] The stench of urine is suffocating. Tears come instantly to my eyes. It gets worse as we set foot in the elevator. I am advised to stay clear of the steel sides. Once polished, they are now stained with vertical streaks of rust. It seems the elevator’s walls react to urine as swiftly as pH test paper.

Germany closes Hamburg mosque 9/11 attackers used

guardian…The Taiba mosque in Hamburg, once frequented by some of the September 11 attackers, was searched by police and shut down today because German authorities believed it was again being used as a meeting point for Islamist radicals.

The Taiba mosque was closed and the cultural association that ran the mosque was banned, state officials said in a statement:. “We have closed the mosque because it was a recruiting and meeting point for Islamic radicals who wanted to participate in so-called jihad or holy war,” said Frank Reschreiter, a spokesman for Hamburg’s state interior ministry.

He said that said 20 police officers were searching the building and police had confiscated material, including several computers, but a spokesman was not aware of any arrests.

Officials have said the prayer house, formerly known as the al-Quds mosque, was a meeting and recruiting point years ago for some of the September 11 attackers before they moved to the United States.

The ringleader, Mohamed Atta, as well as Marwan Al-Shehhi and Ziad Jarrah, had studied in Hamburg and frequented the al-Quds mosque. Reschreiter said today marked the first time the mosque had been closed, and that it had been under observation by local intelligence officers for “quite a long time.”

A 2009 report by a German intelligence agency said the mosque had again become the “centre of attraction for the jihad scene” in the port city. It said some people who belonged to the mosque’s cultural association and prayed there had travelled to a radical training camp in Uzbekistan.

A group of 11 militants that traveled to military training camps in Uzbekistan in March 2009 was formed at Taiba mosque, the report said.

Most of the group’s members were either German converts, of Middle Eastern origin or from the Caucasus region.

“A very important factor for the radicalisation of the group members was certainly their joint visits to the mosque,” the intelligence report stated.

It appears that one man from the group joined the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, a terrorist organisation in central Asia, the report said.
