The Freethinking Film Society, a Canadian organization committed to providing the nation’s capital with interesting conservative/libertarian films, played host last evening to the much anticipated appearance of journalist Bruce Bawer, author of Surrender-Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom at the National Library, Archives of Canada to an enthusiastic audience.
The evening opened with a thoughtful introduction of panel members by Fred Litwin of the Free Thinking Film Society, and his blog Gay and Right, and with another to Mr. Bawer from Marc Lebuis creator of Canada’s most influential French language, anti-Islamist blog Point de Bascule. Also in attendance was James Cohen, the Canadian vice-president of the International Free Press Society, a vitally important global group which defends the universal right of free expression and combats those who would threaten it. The speaking panel consisted of four members, all of which brought remarkable qualifications, specific areas of expertise and varying political partisanship– award winning journalist and author Terry Glavin; David B. Harris, former chief of strategic planning for CSIS and currently a Senior Fellow for terrorism/national security at the Canadian Coalition for Democracies; renowned author Bruce Bawer and Marc Lepuis. It was easily recognizable from the start that despite the differences in their political views, the most potent of similarities between each of these men was a shared and cogent understanding of the very real and direct threat radical Islam presents to universal human values, and to the principle of individual freedoms.
I choose the words universal and human deliberately and carefully, as these terms reflected the basic undertone of the lecture. Each member thoughtfully reinforced the need to concentrate on the human face of this struggle, to reevaluate the usefulness of the popular concepts of left and right political partisanship we have so securely wrapped ourselves in and, to instead, abandon their usage and unite against those engaged in the furious pursuit to coerce and shift the world toward ‘Dar-al-Islam’. It is also important to understand that countless Muslims the world over do not subscribe to the prescription of submission handed them by the fascist elements that live among them. Many suffer greatly with some, bravely seeking freedom from persecution and enslavement by this hateful and intolerant ideology. It is within this recognition the panel made clear, that we share the most common of ground, where all of us can stand united in direct and strong opposition to extremism.
Mr. Bawer illustrated effectively that we are living in the midst of a jihad most of us do not recognize. We have come to believe that the world suffers only from violent jihad; terrorist plots to murder fueled by an intense hatred of western values by seventh century crackpots in suicide gear, self-imploding at the behest of foaming and slathering Imams in far away lands. While it is true that terror attacks happen with great frequency, a simultaneous but less spectacular attack is in motion. Far more dangerous than a street lined with bloodied body parts is the quiet jihad, the stealth jihad of the ‘polite’, bridge-building kind which is being played out in quiet neighborhoods, institutions and courtrooms across the western world. This type is patient, cunning and deceitful, culturally informed, well financed and legally savvy. Foolishly so, we are complicit in it’s advancement by both complacency and capitulation through our romantic attachment to such things as cultural-relativism, diversity projects, and multicultural policies. We have become dangerously vulnerable and as Mr. Bawer pointed out, they know it.
Islamists simply do not care which political office holds the power of the day as western legal codes are in and of themselves contrary to Islam. Left, right and the principle of democracy are man-made ‘illegal’ notions, a beyond-the-pale bastardization of the laws of Allah. These gross deeds can only be corrected by employing the scripture of the Quran as brought to the world by the prophet Muhammed in the form of sharia, the only law suitable for all of mankind.
Mr. Harris pointed to the increasing infiltration of the Islamist element seen increasingly in a vast array of institutions. Today in Canada as in western Europe, the political fascism of Islam has found a comfortable and protected footing among a variety of departments, banking institutions, political offices and inter-faith groups. His earnest call that we should insist upon the permanent crushing of section 13(1) of the HRC code received wide applause. Terry Glavin highlighted the moral bankruptcy of the feminist movement while in their staunch pursuit to defend the western woman, many routinely abandon the very same human needs asked of by an Afghan mother struggling against her male aggressors. Mr. Lepuis wondered why Imams in some Montreal mosques continue to stridently condemn Canada to a packed house of primarily second and third generation Muslims and why some honour killings are being committed at the hands of men who have been raised and educated in western nations. Each had cited circumstances clearly reflected in Bruce Bawer’s writing and each had reinforced truths found in Surrender.
Asked to review the speaking engagement given by Mr. Bawer and the accompanying guest panel, I entered the room like most other audience members. I left amazed and moved by three things: the unflinching bravery of Mr. Bawer and his devotion to reach out to those of us who seek to understand the growing threat of radical Islam and the operation of stealth jihad; the unity, comradeship and professionalism in common purpose held by the panel members to work in tandem against radical Islam and, the realization that we are not defending western values as much as we are defending human and universal ones.
Thank you to Fred Litwin at The Free Thinking Film Society for bringing Mr. Bawer to Ottawa for such an important event. Thank you to Mr. Harris, Mr. Glavin and Mr. Lepuis for their thoughtful analysis, expertise and professionalism and to James Cohen of the International Free Press Society for his attendance. Daily Mail… Hundreds of people on a pro-Palestinian rally in London were met by a group of far-right protesters holding Union Jacks and shouting ‘we hate Muslims’.
The supporters of the English Defence League turned up at the annual Al-Quds Day demonstration to show support for Palestinians and ‘oppressed people’.
There was a heavy police presence in Central London and the procession was met with a small but vocal crowd at Piccadilly Circus.
A line of men, some wearing Millwall FC shirts, held up a union flag and shouted at the marchers.
The men held a banner declaring ‘March for England’.
Police kept the two sides apart as the procession went past and Scotland Yard said there had been no arrests.
English Defence League activists chanted ‘We hate Muslims’ and ‘Muslim bombers off our streets’, according to The Guardian.
Some protesters attempting to cover their faces, sang ‘English and we’re proud of it’.
A group of around 30 police officers in fluorescent yellow jackets walked ahead of the procession as it snaked along Park Lane.
The rally ended in Waterloo Place, just off Pall Mall.
Police moved any potential troublemakers to a cordoned area at the top of the road.
Chants including ‘end the occupation now’ and ‘Israel is a terrorist state’ could be heard as the crowd set off on the march toward Pall Mall for their rally.
Organisers said the event had been held in the capital for the last 27 years without any trouble on the part of the demonstrators and were confident that would continue this year despite warnings by anti-Islamic groups. Continue Reading →
Later this evening I will try and analyze a number of these videos and articles and see if a cogent picture cannot be made of this event. The two stories are, the event itself, and the disinformation the UK Government seems intent on propagating. Amazingly, the BBC in one video, appears to have actually told the facts as most present saw it. They still attempted to defuse blame for any violence onto those not actually present, but at least they told who was there, who was not, and who did what. I will post that non-embeddable video later but for now, I want to present this one as it shows the mindset of the Muslims quite clearly. This pep talk should be taken very seriously. What is a surprise and far more disturbing, is the government of the UK, actually concealing information from it’s own people, information which the entire infrastructure and enormous cost of government is supposed to make available.
This has to be in the top five most seditious acts by a Western government since 911, and a seditious act not by a people against its government but a government against its own people. I am shocked and stunned by this. Frankly, the people of the united kingdom would be absolutely justified in full armed revolt against their government for this. One cannot possibly make a good decision for oneself, one’s family, or one’s community and certainly country if one is not in possession of the best information available. A government could be thought of as criminal if it merely neglected to collect or properly disseminate critical information but to knowingly deceive your own people because they may not like what you have done to their nation?
This escalates this entire matter to a new level.

This week, the Office of National Statistics published a list of the most popular boys’ names in Britain: Jack, Oliver, Thomas, Harry, Joshua, Alfie, Charlie, Daniel.
They reflect a cultural tradition as old as the nation’s history, and would provoke approving nods from Jack the Ripper, Oliver Cromwell, Thomas Becket and Harry Hotspur.
There is just one small problem: the list is deceitful. In reality, the third most popular choice for boy children born last year in England and Wales was not Thomas, but Mohammed.
Deceitful: When both spellings of Mohammed are combined it is the third most popular boys’ name in Britain.
The ONS explains blithely that it had no intent to deceive. Its normal practice is to catalogue different spellings separately, as in Mohammed, Muhammed and so on.
But if you add these variants together, as surely seems logical, then Mohammed is right up there, near the top of the list.
Unfortunately, in recent times we have been given plentiful cause for paranoia about attempts by official bodies to conceal from us information about the changing face of Britain which our rulers know that many people will not like.
Immigration figures are routinely distorted. In a rare moment of honesty, a Labour Home Secretary conceded that he had no idea just how many migrants dwell in this country, because of the huge and unquantified pool of illegals.
Many EU nations decline to collate statistics about the religious affiliations of their populations, to avoid rousing sentiment against Muslims.

According to a Vladtepesblog source in the UK, the EDL, who had a legal right to protest the opening of a giant mosque in London today, was arrested to keep the peace, while over 1000 nearly entirely Muslims who are physically preventing people from joining the protest, are being allowed to continue to do so, unimpeded.

Most of the print stories I am reading are spinnning the story to make the British people appear to suffer from advanced rabies. The fact remains, the EDL and SIOE have legal permits to protest the mosque, and it is they who are being arrested and the violent Muslim counter ‘demonstration’ who are being allowed to continue unmolested by the law.

The earliest article avoided any mention of ethnicity, so I asked Zonka if the perpetrators were definitely Enrichers. He said:

MailOnline… Dozens of convicted Islamic terrorists are back on the streets after being freed early from jail.
Taxpayers now face a multi-million pound bill to keep tabs on the dangerous fanatics as 20 are set free and another 75 terrorists are due to be released over the next few years.
Among them are Muslim extremists jailed for offences including planning to kill soldiers, attending terror training camps and helping suicide bombers.
Most of those convicted of terrorism offences received short fixed jail terms and were released after serving two thirds of their sentence.
But because of continuing concerns about the threat they pose to national security, police and intelligence services will have to mount a huge surveillance operation to ensure that they do not plot further atrocities.
At least four of the 20 released recently are said to pose a high risk to the public, requiring 24-hour supervision by police and intelligence agents.
A fifth high risk offender, due to be released later this year will be placed in a hostel in the South East.
But police and probation staff fear they will be stretched to the limit by the release of almost 100 terrorists in the coming years.
The news comes after three British-born Muslims were convicted on Monday of trying to blow up seven transatlantic airlines using liquid bombs disguised as soft drinks in a plot to rival 9/11.
Although they face 40 years in jail, other bomb plotters are already free.
At least three people convicted of helping the 21/7 suicide bomb plotters are back out on the streets.
The organisers of the Danish cartoon protests in London, when fanatics hailed the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks are also free after their sentences were cut by a third on appeal.
Five Birmingham-based suspects among a gang led by Parvis Khan, convicted of masterminding a plot to behead a British Muslim soldier, have also been freed.
Around 75 Islamic extremists are due to be released in the next three to four years.
Among them is al-Qaeda trained terrorist Sohail Qureshi.
The East London dental assistant was arrested in October 2006 at Heathrow Airport on the way to Afghanistan where he planned to attack British troops.
Since 1999, at least 150 men have been convicted of terrorist offences, with 120 linked to al-Qaeda.

“When we have done our research, mothers tell us Jack suggests honesty, trustworthiness and hard work. A Jack will be popular and have a strong character, but he will also be good,” said Faye Mingo, who compiles the research on names for Bounty.com, a parenting club.

‘I do not care about the campaign. We have freedom of religion in Denmark, and if you try to put obstacles in the way of Muslims gathering in mosques, I think it undermines religious freedom, “he told Metro.
Also, the radical technology and environment mayor Klaus Bondam turn toward the ad. “The Danish People’s Party think they can get votes by runing smear campaign against Muslims in this town. As many of you may or may not know, The Al Queda handbook teaches the Muslim ‘diaspera’ to create ‘no go zones’ by setting fires and other anti-social acts that require a response from the state, and then attacking the various institutions who respond such as fire, ambulance, police etc. in order to create zones which are under Islamic control and sharia law. This strategy has been employed to tremendous success all over Europe as leftist ‘politically correct’ bureaucrats and government agencies who are either, on side with Muslims and more often, afraid to mention the truth in case they lose the illusion of stable good governance with the electorate, fail to properly inform the public about what is analogous to a cancer growing in the social body.

The night before Saturday five more cars were torched in Gothenburg, and the night before Friday four cars were set on fire. The car-burnings are noticed by the Swedish media, but there are also schools and non-descript sheds burning in several Swedish towns.
People are now asking themselves how far this will spread, and if Gothenburg’s suburbs are turning into their own versions of Rosengård. The question seems to have some merit since police, fire fighters, and ambulance personnel are greeted with stone-throwing when they arrive in Gothenburg’s suburbs, and grownups who try to keep some order in their neighborhood don’t dare to venture out at night anymore, after repeated gunfire in the areas.
During one fire-fighting call, a fire truck got a 5.7 kilo stone through the front window, lightly injuring three men. They were lucky, escaping fatalities by inches. Today there are 85 sharia courts operating openly in the United Kingdom. Academic Denis MacEoin authored a recent report published by Civitas, refuting a previous claim that only 5 such courts were in existence and tells of their increase and danger(s) associated with the spreading of Islamic law in Britain.
Mr. MacEoin worries these courts could lead to different legal standards and their application to Muslim and non-Muslim citizens. He says ” It is not a matter of eating halal meat or seeking God’s blessing on one’s marriage. It is a challenge to what we believe to be the rights and freedoms of the individual, to our concept of a legal system based on what parliament enacts, and to the right of all of us to live in a society as free as possible from ethnic-religious division or communal claims to superiority to a special status that puts them in some respects above the law to which we are all bound”.
Among the findings, the report indicates the type of rulings meted out by sharia courts, including the advisement of illegal actions and transgressions of human rights standards as applied by British courts. Sharia courts ban Muslim women from marrying non-Muslim men unless the potential groom agrees to convert and (they) advocate for the removal of a wife`s property rights upon divorce. Despite the increase of sharia courts, there are groups who believe these rulings are restrictive and do not go far enough. Islam4UK is an example of such a group who would like to see Britain become an Islamic state, wholly under the jurisdiction of Shariah law in every matter, whether civil, criminal or otherwise, along with the brutal, prejudicial and ancient punishments prescribed by this system. They see this as the inevitable outcome of the Islamic re-population of the U.K. and it appears as though there are precious few in Britain’s current power-base who care to even recognize this threat, let alone assist in preventing it.
