“We Already Have Far Too Much Islam in the Netherlands and Europe”

by Baron Bodissey

Since today is Turkey Day, it’s only appropriate to post a few news items about Geert Wilders and his proposed close encounter with Turkey.

All of the articles below were translated by our Flemish correspondent VH. First, a recent op-ed from De Volkskrant written by Geert Wilders himself, expressing very definite opinions about the prospect of admitting Turkey into the EU:

Ten Times No To Turkey

Ten arguments why we should not take in the Turkish Trojan horse.

By Geert Wilders

Beginning on January I will go to Turkey as a member of a delegation of the parliamentary committee on European Affairs. My first visit to a Muslim country since the release of Fitna, now over a year and a half ago.

“They will murder you there”

In recent days I have received many e-mails: “Mr. Wilders, please do not go. They will murder you there or hand you over to Jordan.” I take the view that my security will be adequately arranged for and that the Minister of Foreign affairs, Maxime Verhagen — since he goes abroad more often than I do — will request and receive guarantees of the Turkish government that I will not be extradited.

Why do I go to Turkey? Because as an MP and political leader of virtually the largest party in the Netherlands I find it no more than reasonable to tell the Turks straight to their faces why, according to us, they should never become a member of the EU. Why the PVV the adage applies: Turkey in, Netherlands out!

I will first tell everyone that Turkey is an appreciated NATO ally and also that the PVV wants the Netherlands to maintain good relations with that country on political, military and economic fields. Both parties can benefit from this, but a good neighbor is not the same as a member of the family. Continue Reading →

Refusing a doctor a right?

Here is one case where I agree with the Muslims. I think everyone has a right to refuse medical care for themselves for whatever reason they want. They do not however, have the right to get what care they do want. For example, if a Muslim woman refuses a male doctor for a procedure she absolutely has that right. This does not however mean that a woman doctor has to come rushing to her side dropping all else. She, the Muslim patient, goes to the back of the line, assuming the woman doctor does not refuse to give her service. Or do doctors have that right? From Dutch NIS news:
Refuse doctor in hollandSame goes for a Jewish patient that fears that a Muslim doctor may not give him the same or even safe care at all, as a Muslim patient. He has the right to refuse that doctors care. It may even be a rational reason but it does not need to be. However, this does not mean that doctors in a hospital have to play some sort of macabre game of schedule-shuffle to make sure that each patient has the exact gender, race, culture, height, degree of sexual attractiveness or whatever that a patient demands. I do believe we all have the right to refuse medical care for any reason our little heart can think of (perhaps short of mental health if we are indeed certifiable) but does not oblige anyone else to indulge our prejudices whatsoever.

Of course this isn’t about that at all. In reality, this is about Muslims doing what they do. Making certain that they are seen as, and treated as, a distinct and seperate group from the rest of the host society right up until the host society is forced to deal with Islam as the dominant set of rules. For Holland, this is about 10 years away.

Turkey: Mixed feelings about Geert Wilders visit

This is quite interesting. A very short clip of mixed opinions by Turkish citizens about Europe, Islam and Geert WIlders potential visit. H/T GOV Here is the original site:

The proposed visit of a Dutch parliamentary delegation to Turkey is now in some doubt as the Turkish government has announced that it doesn’t want Geert Wilders to be included in the party. The other members of the Dutch delegation have declared their solidarity with the leader of the Freedom Party, and have indicated that if the Turks don’t change their position they will call off the visit.

Mr Wilders wants to go to Ankara in January to explain why he is opposed to Turkish membership of the European Union. But according to politicians there, Mr Wilders – whose party lies in second position in Dutch opinion polls – is a racist and a fascist. On the streets of Istanbul, people’s opinions appear to be mixed.

Holland: PVV banned on number plates

PVV banned on number plates

By James Cohen • on November 14, 2009

Democracy is often thought of as being a system for polite mob rule. That is to say, a thing is decided because more people vote for it. I believe that is what is often called, ‘three foxes and a chicken voting on what is for dinner’.

Democracy more properly is a system of governance with specific rules and institutions that guarantee freedom for the people from government. An example, is a non partisan military. It is crucial for a democracy that the military not work for a specific party within a nation. This is why Chavez making his ‘Red Shirts’ or ‘Chavistas’ an official branch of the military is a direct move away from democracy.

In that spirit, the government of the Netherlands has made it illegal for people to have the letters “PVV” on a licence plate, the letters representing the Dutch Freedom Party, or the party of Geert Wilders.

The logic is, that the letters KKK are illegal as are NSB (the Dutch World War II pro Nazi party) and so on, and the government effectively now associates Wilder’s PVV with these groups.

This new law establishes two things. 1. a move away from the most basic principles of democracy in Holland by using an institution of the state to discriminate against a legal political party, and 2. sets a stunning example of why laws banning speech should not exist at all because the question will not be ‘IF’ any law limiting speech will be abused but when, by whom, and to what purpose.

Laws banning Nazi or KKK licence plates clearly have now been used to protect a ruling party against a truly liberal and democratic one as they grow larger in the polls. This is no small thing. But it is an excellent example of why no law should exist that makes it illegal to say or write a thing in public.

From Dutch News nl

PVV, the short form of the name of the anti-Islam party Partij voor de Vrijheid, has been added to the list of banned abbreviations for new car number plates, the AD reports on Friday.

PVV joins NSB (the Dutch World War II pro Nazi party), KKK (Ku Klux Klan) and TBS (psychiatric prison) on a short list of banned words, the AD says.

PVV does not appear on the list on the vehicle licensing authority website.

The authority says the new Dutch number plate system, two numbers followed by three letters and one number, has opened up the way for ’socially unacceptable’ words.

According to the paper, the authority has banned PVV because it could be insulting or encourage violence.

PVV leader Geert Wilders has asked the transport minister for an explanation.

Muslim mother hid bomb manual in her burka and ‘considered turning her children into human bombs’

Threat: Houria Chahed Chentouf hid a memory stick containing thousands of terror documentsThreat: Houria Chahed Chentouf hid a memory stick containing thousands of terror documents

A mother of six tried to smuggle ‘a mini encyclopedia of weapons making’ into Britain by concealing a small computer memory stick under her burka.

Moroccan-born Houria Chahed Chentouf, who was obsessed with the idea of Islamic holy war, had tied the device into her sleeve.

But it fell out in front of police when she was stopped at Liverpool’s John Lennon airport after she arrived from Holland.

The stick contained contained more than 7,000 files that might have been useful to terrorists.

Hand-written documents also seized by anti-terrorist officers showed the former tax official was considering whether she and her children should become human bombs.

The chilling note indicated that she was prepared to sacrifice her life and that of her children for the sake of her religion.

She wrote: ‘Myself and my children would seek revenge, we would be bombs for the sake of this religion, may Allah forgive you.’

Chentouf, 41, who has dual British and Dutch citizenship, had ‘developed an obsessive interest in Jihad and the more extreme forms of Islam’ though internet chatrooms, Manchester Crown Court heard.

She was yesterday sentenced to two years in prison after admitting two offences of possessing documents likely to be useful for a terrorist.

However, she walked free, having served her time on remand after her arrest in October last year. Continue Reading →

The Last of the Moroccans

by Baron Bodissey This post taken verbatim from Gates of Vienna.

The short film below was released this week in the Netherlands and has caused a lot of discussion in the Dutch media. Many thanks to our Flemish correspondent VH for the translation and Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

VH has translated some additional material about the film from the Dutch media. First, from De Volkskrant:

What is the Netherlands without Moroccans?

A man in a dressing gown cycles through heavily polluted streets to the newspaper distribution center to get his morning paper. In the paper are ominous and surreal headlines: “Prisons for sale”, “Civil servants set back to 20-hour week”, “Dramatic drop in sole proprietorships”, and “The last Moroccan is leaving today”.

That last headline summarizes the core message of the internet film “Heads or Tails: What will the Netherlands look like without Moroccans?”

The eight-minute-long film — which was launched at www.munt.nu — depicts in a playful manner the what the consequences of a Moroccan-free Netherlands might be like. The staff at Social Services are twiddling their thumbs, a performance of the comedian Najib Amhali [the Cargo-bike Imam] is canceled, the Rotterdam football team Feyenoord is champion, but the mayor [the Moroccan Ahmed Aboutaleb] is nowhere in sight to celebrate for players, and the opinion pages of newspapers are not being filled in.

The film is an initiative by “Munt”, a group of Dutch Moroccans, who (for the time being) do not want to go public with their real names. The film itself should tell the story, the Munt team replied a request by email. “As soon as we start talking about the film, we will fill in the thoughts for the people, and that is not the intention.”

Munt does wants to reveal, however, what lies at the basis of the film. “For years the debate has often been extremely cramped, and seems almost to have become a ritual without content, in which people interact at each other in a predictable way”, the team says in an email. “We want the Dutch people to reflect on the absurdity of that debate. Because there the Moroccan Dutch are spoken about as though they are optional in our society; a part that can easily be “amputated”. We want to make people think: is this really what we want? “

The bulk of the earliest responses are making that very clear.

At the website Munt.nu — which has been unreachable for a few hours because of the massive interest — three-quarters of the visitors on Tuesday afternoon indicated “not to be able to wait” for the moment the Moroccans leave the Netherlands.[1] Even on web sites like Geenstijl.nl, most of the forum participants in response to the film cheered a Moroccan-free Netherlands: “What a utopia!”

The Munt team — in their own words “born and bred Moroccan Dutch [sic: the Dutch text does not say “Dutch Moroccans” — translator] who do not feel that they are second-class citizens, but fully participate and contribute to Dutch society — is optimistic. “Based on the responses we can develop new initiatives.”

*   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *
[1] The poll asked whether it is a good for the Moroccans to actually leave the Netherlands. The result is that 72% cannot wait until the last Moroccan has actually left the Netherlands. Only 20% of he visitors found that Moroccans really belong in the Netherlands.

In the meantime a new poll has come out: “Who should leave after the Moroccans?

Antilleans [Caribbean], Turks, and Surinamese 42.51%

Everyone who wants to leave themselves 33.82%

Nobody, the Moroccans leaving is enough 23.67%

And from Het Vrije Volk:

The Moroccans are leaving?

By Filantroop

Dark clouds over the Binnenhof [Dutch parliament buildings]: “A drastic decline in the number of sole proprietorships, the newspaper will not be delivered, and Rotterdam is without a mayor. Just a few consequences when the last Moroccan leaves our country,” the Dutch newspaper AD writes after having watched the movie by Munt.Nu. An initiative by a group of apparently alarmed Moroccans. BBC Radio does peculiar interview with Geert Wilders

BBC UK does an odd radio interview asking callers, all of whom appear to be Muslim, if the ban on Mr. Wilders should remain intact. One caller is allowed to lecture on how wonderful islam is, and how sharia law is better than British common law, without even asking a question.

This interview was brought to the attention of a reader of GOV who brought it to ours. We captured it, as the BBC only leaves these up for two days, and I added some footage of Muslims protesting Geert Wilders arrival in the UK as well as rioting in France, Germany and other European locations as video accompaniment to the the radio interview.

Videos: Geert Wilders in UK and protests

You know, I begin to understand why no great literature or plays come from the islamic world. They seem to have a vocabulary of something like four words.

Wilders receives Islamic welcome in UK

“Sharia is the solution, freedom go to hell” and “Geert Wilders deserves Islamic punishment”

Geert-Wilders-04_629791a TIMESONLINE…A far-right Dutch politician who was turned away from Britain after criticising the Koran as a ‘fascist book’ was today forced to hastily change the location of a scheduled press conference in London in the interests of his own security.

Geert Wilders, who is head of the Freedom Party, flew into Heathrow airport this morning after winning a court battle to enter the country.

Mr Wilders had been due to host a press conference on College Green, opposite the Palace of Westminster, at noon.

However, about thirty male activists from a group called Islam for UK began chanting: “Wilders burn in hell” and “Sharia for UK”.

Brandishing banners saying, “Sharia is the solution, freedom go to hell” and “Geert Wilders deserves Islamic punishment”, the protesters were held back by about fifty policemen.

Mr Wilders was advised not to confront or walk past the protesters and instead to hold his press conference in the nearby Abbey Gardens building used by members of the House of Lords.

Mr Wilders told journalists that he lived under constant security because of his views. Explaining his controversial views on Islam, he said: “I have a problem with the Islamic ideology, the Islamic culture, because I feel that the more Islam that we get in our societies the less freedom that we get.” Continue Reading →

Banned Dutch MP plans UK journey

_45471560_wilders_hrow_pa BBC NEWS… Far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders plans to visit the UK on Friday after successfully appealing against the Home Office’s ban.

The Asylum and Immigration Tribunal ruling overturned a government decision that led to Mr Wilders being turned back at Heathrow in February.

He will not be showing his controversial film Fitna on this visit but plans to return to show it later.

The Home Office said it would decide in “due course” whether to appeal.

If it does appeal it would need the permission of the Court of Appeal to keep the travel ban in place pending the hearing.

Speaking on the Victoria Derbyshire show on Radio 5 live, Mr Wilders said he was invited to the House of Lords by Lord Pearson to organise the showing of his film at a later date.

“It’s a short visit, not to show Fitna or have a debate, we will have that later,” he said.

“Inter-faith violence”

What a joke. The home office is afraid Muslims will go nuts and burn and loot the way they always do. They are afraid of Muslim and UAF violence and nothing else. They were afraid thier Muslim friends might prove Mr. Wilders correct in his opinion of Mo’s Minions.  If indigenous Britons were as prone to violence as Muslims then the video of 150 year old Christian graves being bulldozed by Muslims should have led to riots and bloodshed. Not that British media reported it but the video is on more than one you tube site.

He said he wanted to come to the UK to debate the issue with people who both agreed and disagreed with him.

“I believe it was a good day yesterday for the freedom of speech. I believe the decision of the UK government was political, it was not based on law,” he said.

“Never – and I have been to many countries and had this debate – has anything violent happened. And I’m a democratic politician and I only use democratic means like speeches. This is the way it works in civil society.

Following the tribunal’s decision, a Home Office spokesman said: “We are disappointed by the court’s decision. The government opposes extremism in all its forms.

“The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence. We still maintain this view.”

Excellent video on selective enforcement on ‘hate speech laws’

This really is a must see video. Please spread it around

Geert Wilders: Dutch Parliament Sept. 16 09

Geert pulls no punches in this hard hitting speech where he roundly condemns his fellow politicians. This is a treat to watch. Thank you KitmanTV for the subtitles and VH for the translation, taken from GOV.

You will need to close the add as quickly as possible as it will cover the subtitles.

“The Battery is Dead” A fantastic, on point speech by Geert Wilders

From Gates of Vienna verbatim:

by Baron Bodissey

Geert Wilders gave an important speech in the Dutch parliament yesterday. Our Flemish correspondent VH has translated the text of the speech, as well as some introductory material.

VH notes: “It’s interesting to observe that not only did the government fear his speech, but also the fraction leaders of other parties. Geert Wilders obviously dominates the political debate in and outside parliament.”

First, from MARGINAAL weblog IN DE MARGE

Fraction leaders are terrified of Geert Wilders

“What I notice, and what I hear from our reporter in The Hague, and what is part of it, is that all of them are very, very afraid and terrified of Geert Wilders, and are completely mesmerized, and that everyone, all fraction leaders […] are only busy with what Geert Wilders is going to do in the general debate.”

Below is the translated text of Mr. Wilders’ speech.

I must say that editing this text was pure pleasure. It is absolutely magnificent. Geert Wilders has the entire Dutch establishment by their miserable little government-issued gonads, and is beginning to squeeze. Hard.

Just think of the show when January rolls around and the regime puts this man on trial!

Speech by Geert Wilders on the first day of the General Debate in the Dutch parliament

It is over. This government has run aground, like an old car that got stuck in loose sand. It still squeaks a little, it cracks. Anyone can see that the little creature will never move one meter again. The battery is dead. It’s all over.

Madam Chairman, it would be laughable if it were not for the future of the Netherlands. Then you could make fun of that little club of helpless people who stare out through the misty windscreen, hoping there is someone who can tell them which way to go. They know themselves that if you look closely, it is way past saving. That they only made the wrong decisions and did not take note of the little sign: “swamp to the left”. Then they did turn left. Because their ideological GPS is programmed to only turn “left” ever since the sixties. They cannot do anything else. Wouter [Bos, Vice PM, Finance Minister PvdA, Socialist] behind the wheel, Andre [Rouwvoet, Youth and Family Minister CU, Christian Union] in the baby seat, and to Jan Peter [Balkenende, PM CDA, Christian Democrat] anything is okay as long as his party gets to stay in the front seat. [V1]

They tried to throw some ballast overboard. Mrs. Vogelaar [former Integration Minister PvdA, Socialist] was tied to a tree. Aboutaleb [Moroccan-Dutch mayor of Rotterdam PvdA, Socialist] got out in Rotterdam with all his passports. Van Geel [fraction leader CDA] would have preferred to take the turn to Brabant to become the Queen’s Governor there. Jan Peter [Balkenende] cries out all the time: “I want to go to Brussels!”, and the Al Gore parrot, Miss Cramer [Environment and Housing Minister PvdA, Socialist] trumpets from the back seat: “Not too fast, that is bad for the polar bears!” The only route the PvdA is proposing is to do a few turns around the [Amsterdam] canals.

Prime Minister, please just stop with this. Send that rusty piece of junk to the junkyard. Collect the scrap fee. It makes no sense anymore. There is only one reason why the government [“Cabinet”, coalition government] continues stumbling: that is out of fear of elections.

I do understand that. I get it. For when the Netherlands gets to vote, it will show that the crisis mainly is happening in one specific place… and that is in the government. The Balkenende/Bos people, who are most of all good at throwing billions towards the chalk lines, to the big banks. If the Netherlands is allowed to choose, it will choose against the snatching habits, the big fat bonuses and bungling with side jobs. How dare the government go after ordinary citizens while they simultaneously spend billions on banks and leftist hobbies, and hundreds of millions for the 19,000 asylum seekers that await us next year, about double the number of last year! Video on ‘Salafi Islam’ in Holland.

I use the single quotes because the use of the term ‘Salafi’ is in essence a perpetuation of the myth that there is an ‘extreme’ form of Islam and some ‘normal’ form which is just like Christianity except they have more interesting food. The myth of course is the moderate Islam. Islam is and always was, a religion/philosophy of violent world domination. To understand Islam one only needs to look at life in countries where it is the dominant religion.

Link: Salafi Islam in Holland

Below, is a short MEMRI clip about fairly normal moderate typical Islam as it is practiced preached and believed around the world. Notice that as Vlad has predicted since the first post pretty much, “First we take Tel Aviv, then we take Madrid”

Apologies to Leonard Cohen
