Wonderful video of Dutch people protesting for Geert.
This is heart warming. Maybe the Dutch aren’t such Dodo’s after all. I mean Dodo not in the sense of stupid, but in fact the Dodo was a very friendly and curious, trusting bird who in fact which was slaughtered into extinction, ironically by Dutch sailors, because they couldn’t resist walking up to them to see what all the fuss was.
Maybe Islam is the revenge of the Dodo. But in any case, its wonderful to see these ordinary folk of all ages come out and support freedom as personified by Geert Wilders. They have my deepest and most sincere affection, dodo jokes notwithstanding.

The Bolivarian Federation of Farmers and Cattle Ranchers of Venezuela (Fegaven) said Jan. 20 that product prices would rise only with government approval, Globovision reported, citing Fegaven President Balsamino Belandria. Belandria said agricultural producers are currently selling their products at prices established in official publication The National Gazette.
Communism always ends at agriculture because no amount of bureaucracy can make something grow or produce by ordering it too. You can send a thousand bureaucrats to the desert and insist that cows must give milk but they typically die instead. Like the Russians who believed that wheat would grow in Siberia because communism required it to, Chavez thinks that people can somehow sell goods for less than the cost of production because he tells them to.
The result? corruption or failure. At some point, the ‘Bolivarian federation of cattle farmers’ will set up a system of bribes so that the final price that is paid resembles the actual cost and usually, ends up being several times more expensive than typical free market prices for goods. So this organization can make all the promises it wants and Chavez can send all the soldiers he wants and give all the orders he wants. At the end of the day, it boils down to what you can get out of the ground and how.

The Wilders trial: Shrugging off Spinoza

Any one who still claims that the trial against Geert Wilders MP, leader of the Party for Freedom (9 seats in Parliament and 27 in the polls), which starts on the 20th of January, is not a political process: get a grip. Accused by the Dutch ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ exactly a year ago for insulting Islam, comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf and delivering hate speeches, the coming trial against Wilders suddenly got a Kafkaesque and potentially murderous twist. Finally, seven days before his first day in Court, all fangs were out and faces off.
“It is irrelevant whether Wilder’s witnesses might prove Wilders’ observations to be correct”, the ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ stated, “what’s relevant is that his observations are illegal”. Unexpected and breaching court procedures the detailed indictment of 21 pages, which Wilders received on the 4th of December and sums up in verbatim all of his Islam and Koran critique in interviews and Fitna, was amended with new accusations of racism against muslims and Moroccans. On top of this, Paul Vellerman, the public prosecutor of the Amsterdam Court decided that the Wilders trial had to be regarded as “an ordinary trial open for public and with a normal procedure, which doesn’t deserve the Department of Justice’s highly secured bunker. His is a normal case and we’ll treat it as such”.
It’s sad to note that Mohammed Bouyeri, the murderer of Theo van Gogh, and Volkert van der Gaag, the assassin of Pim Fortuyn, were tried in this specially designed bunker, but that Wilders has to rely on his personal bodyguards and full metal jacket to ward of terrorists. No safe room for him, which recently secured Kurt Westergaard and his granddaughter, but for months on end the vulnerability of a sitting duck.

To a connoisseur of the classic art of Dutch political murder, revived in 2002 with the assassination of the deliberatedly unprotected and demonized Pim Fortuyn, this twist of fate comes, however, as no surprise. The ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ had to do something. Presented with much aplomb in January, already on the 10th of March it turned out that the case against Wilders had one crucial weak spot: it might not hold in Court. For in a comparable case the Dutch High Court acquitted a Dutchman of his earlier conviction of ‘Group-insult’ of Muslims. He had been sentenced to jail for hanging a poster in front of his window that stated: “Stop the cancerous growth named Islam”. Excellent documentary debunking global warming, showing the fraud in the science.
Global warming is dying of exposure and if it isn’t, it’s because we aren’t working hard enough to spread the facts. Please watch this well done 40 minutes on the science of global warming and how it is being manipulated for political and monetary ends. If you don’t have that much time, Ill post what may be the most stunning 10 minutes below. However do watch it all if you are at all able.

Here is a Vladtepesblog and Tundra Tabloids original. The heavy lifting was Tundra who translated this video, and VTB titled and edited it. Here is a rather excellent example of the train wreck that occurs when political correctness meets Islam. Despite the overwhelming evidence this 12 minute documentary shows about Islamic violence and dominance of women, Finnish state TV felt the need to have 2 minutes of propaganda about how Islam does not condone violence and especially against women.
Here at Vlad we decided to take that bit out and instead, put in a few verses from Koran and Hadith about women that explain the actual facts rather better.

Senior member of extreme Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir teaches at LSE
TIMESONLINE… A senior figure in Hizb ut-Tahrir, a hardline Islamist group that the Government keeps “under continuous review” and the Conservatives want to ban, is teaching and preaching at a top university.
The Times has learnt that Reza Pankhurst, who was imprisoned in Egypt for membership of the group, is a teacher at the London School of Economics and regularly preaches to students at Friday prayers.
The group is supposedly barred from organising and speaking on campuses under the National Union of Students’ policy of “no platform” for racist or fascist views. The presence of one of its prominent members as a university teacher raises new concerns about Islamist radicalisation on campus.
A new review of campus extremism began last month after it was discovered that the alleged Detroit airline bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was a former president of the Islamic Society at University College London.
The Times understands that at least two London university lecturers are either supporters or members of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Mr Pankhurst is a postgraduate student in the LSE’s government department and teaches classes for the course “States, Nations and Empires”.
On Fridays he is one of the regular speakers at prayers organised by the students’ union Islamic Society in the college gym.
A society member told The Times: “He preaches every other week and is constantly bringing the subject around to politics, talking about Afghanistan and the need to establish the Caliphate [Islamic state].
“Only last week he was talking about the Detroit bomber and saying the guy was not radicalised in London and it was all to do with foreign policy.
“Last year he recommended we should attend a conference which I later discovered was organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir, but he never mentions the party by name.” Continue Reading →

BANNED Muslim extremist Anjem Choudary is getting 24-hour police protection – and you are paying for it.
His threat to march in Wootton Bassett whipped up so much fury senior officers have stepped in to defend him from hate mobs.
On Sunday, 200 English Defence League supporters descended on the Wiltshire town which honours Britain’s war dead after rumours of a demo by his Islam4UK organisation.
The radical group was banned by the Home Secretary on Tuesday. And police chiefs are diverting men from essential duties to guarantee Choudary’s safety after far-right nuts made death threats against him. Gloating Choudary, 42, even cranked up the hatred against him by claiming the £25,000 benefits he gets every year, and the £325,000 house he lives in, were provided by “Allah” and not the British taxpayer.
The bill to guard Choudary could cost as much as £100,000 a year. But the trained lawyer said he was proud to milk the system, adding: “I am not doing anything illegal.
“If we were living under the shariah there would be free food, clothing and shelter for all. The money belongs to Allah and if it is given you can take it.
“You don’t lie and you don’t cheat – that is what the prophet said.”
But Matthew Sinclair, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “Taxpayers are going to be shocked to hear the police are having to waste time they should be spending fighting terrorism looking after Anjem Choudary.”
And Tory MP Patrick Mercer, chairman of the Commons sub- committee on counter-terrorism, slammed Choudary as a publicity-seeker.
He said: “He’s drawing constant attention to himself and diverting resources from their proper use.”
A police source warned: “Choudary has deliberately made himself a target among far-right groups and his plans to protest at Wootton Bassett stirred up even more anger.
“Senior officers are frightened of having a race war on their hands. If something were to happen to him, we would be blamed.”

U.N. shelves internal inquiry for corruption involving millions of dollars.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The United Nations has cut back sharply on investigations into corruption and fraud within its ranks, shelving cases involving the possible theft or misuse of millions of dollars, an Associated Press review has found.
At least five major cases in Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa are among the inquiries halted as the U.N. scaled back on self-policing over the past year.
The world body was rocked in the past decade when more than 2,200 companies from some 40 countries colluded with Saddam Hussein’s regime to bilk $1.8 billion from a U.N.-administered oil-for-food program for Iraqi humanitarian relief.
In response, it established a special anti-corruption unit, the Procurement Task Force, in 2006 that over the next three years uncovered at least 20 other major schemes affecting more than $1 billion in U.N. contracts and international aid.
But at the beginning of 2009, the United Nations shuttered the agency and diverted its work to the Office of Internal Oversight Services’ permanent investigation division. Continue Reading →
Irish news on the blasphemy law
First, thank you to Wellboy films for this tip.
It is interesting which religion actually utters a threat about any potential blasphemy. Interesting but not a surprise.
Notice the church actually has a pretty enlightened view on this law, as well as hate speech laws. It is noteworthy that the government of Pakistan has used the Irish law as a sort of a template for it’s own suppression of criticism of religion for UN resolutions.
Here is part II of this same report. By the way, for those of you who do not already know of it, there are some scenes taken from a perfectly charming Irish TV show called, ‘Father Ted’.
