What can I say, given who is saying this stuff and it’s implications and consequences right or wrong, it should not be ignored. Some components of the left view Islam as it’s ‘Hayekian’ strong man, a tool to destroy the current system of capitalism, rationalism, and Greek and Roman intellectual heritage that has withstood all attacks on it so far. Islam is the best bet a failed economic and social system has to do its dirty work. So when David Horowitz suggests Obama really does have a radical agenda and actually means it when he says he will “fundamentally transform America” we should pay attention.
Here is the whole show. In this, Glenn Beck deals with the issue of ‘Tzars’, something I find needs clarification.

Gaddafi warned over New York trip
Heres a better idea Ms. Rice. Tell him to stay home.
Susan Rice said his visit to the UN General Assembly later this month had the potential to inflame US emotions.

Col Gaddafi is due to make his first visit to the UN General Assembly
BBC NEWS… The US ambassador to the UN has warned Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi to be careful how he conducts himself on his forthcoming trip to New York.
The Libyan welcome given to the man convicted of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing has caused widespread anger.
The Scottish and UK governments are also under fire over the release of the dying bomber on compassionate grounds.
Senior US Senator Frank Lautenberg has called for a Congressional hearing into whether the release of Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi was influenced by the prospect of a lucrative oil contract.
UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Wednesday insisted no deals were done over Megrahi, and said his release was a matter for the Scottish government.
Mr Brown did not refer to reports that Libyan officials were told by UK government officials that he did not want to see Megrahi die in prison.
Also on Wednesday, the Scottish parliament voted to reject the Scottish government’s decision to release Megrahi.
Megrahi was freed last month, eight years into a life sentence imposed for his part in the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie in December 1988, killing 270 people.
Suffering from terminal cancer, Megrahi has had chemotherapy and is now in a cancer ward at a hospital in Tripoli, the BBC understands. Continue Reading →
Supreme Court of Canada to hear government’s appeal:Khadr repatriation
From The Ottawa Citizen.
Top court will hear federal appeal of Khadr repatriation order
By Janice Tibbetts, Canwest News Service
OTTAWA — The Supreme Court of Canada will decide whether the Harper government must seek Omar Khadr’s repatriation from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Without giving reasons, the court announced Friday it will hear a government appeal of rulings in the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal ordering the Conservatives to ask the United States to surrender the young Canadian man.
The Supreme Court agreed to expedite the appeal and the case will be heard Nov. 13.
The court’s decision to hear the case means the bench will tackle the thorny issues of what duty, if any, a government has to protect its citizens abroad and whether elected officials should have the discretion to decide when and if they will seek the return of a Canadian detained in another country.
Federal Court Justice James O’Reilly ruled in April that the government, by its years of indifference to Khadr, violated his Charter of Rights guarantee to fundamental justice and, therefore, must seek the 22-year-old’s return “as soon as is practicable.”
In particular, Canadian officials failed Khadr and violated international human rights norms by interviewing him at the U.S. military camp and then passing on the intelligence to American officials, all the while knowing that he had been subjected to sleep deprivation to induce him to talk, O’Reilly concluded.
While the Charter of Rights does not normally protect Canadians accused of crimes abroad, O’Reilly drew heavily on a May 2008 ruling in the Supreme Court of Canada that found all bets are off when it comes to Guantanamo Bay because the process of detaining prisoners at the compound did not comply with either U. S. domestic or international law.
O’Reilly’s decision was upheld last month by the Federal Court of Appeal, with a strong dissenting opinion from Justice Marc Nadon, who sided with the government’s argument that it should have the power to decide whether to request the return of a Canadian detained abroad.
Khadr, who was born in Toronto in September 1986, is charged with murder as a war crime for allegedly throwing a grenade that killed a U.S. army medic on a battlefield in Afghanistan in July 2002.
His trial was suspended in January after U.S. President Barack Obama said the military unit at Guantanamo Bay would close within a year. Khadr is the only remaining westerner at the prison.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper has maintained Khadr is charged with a serious crime, and the government should wait to find out if the U.S. intends to drop charges before making any moves.
The government also has said it has done plenty to help Khadr, including requests for consular visits, insisting on medical treatment for the young man, supplying him with educational materials, and seeking assurances he would not be subject to the death penalty.
The current appeal arises from an August 2008 legal challenge filed by Khadr against the prime minister, the minister of foreign affairs, the director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the commissioner of the RCMP.

Hugo Chavez sees fit to attack Israel during Syria visit

Venezuelan president bashes Israel in Syria trip
By ALBERT AJI (AP) – 6 hours ago
DAMASCUS, Syria — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez attacked Israel Thursday during his visit to Syria, calling it an imperialist nation that annihilates other people.
Chavez comments came during a news conference with his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad after a one-hour meeting at the hilltop presidential palace.
“Israel has become a country that annihilates people and is hostile to peace,” he said, according to the Arabic translation of his remarks to reporters.
In comments carried by Venezuelan state television, he also accused Israel of being part of imperialist efforts to divide the Middle East.
“The entire world knows it. Why was the state of Israel created? … To divide. To impede the unity of the Arab world. To assure the presence of the North American empire in all these lands,” he said.
Chavez is on an 11-day trip to Libya, Algeria, Syria, Iran, Belarus and Russia in his bid to build a multi-polar world and decrease U.S. influence in the region.
“I believe it is a fateful battle. It’s either now or never in order to liberate the world from imperialism and change the world from a unipolar into a multi-polar world,” Chavez told reporters in Damascus.
On Tuesday he attended Libya’s celebration of the 40th anniversary of the coup that brought Moammar Gadhafi to power before heading to Algeria.
The firebrand Latin American leader has built close ties with Iran, Syria, Cuba and other countries while his relations have grown tense with Israel.
Chavez strongly criticized Israel’s war against Gaza in December and January and said the Jewish state should return to Syria the strategic Golan Heights that it captured in 1967 Mideast war.
For his part, Assad said that he does not think Israel is ready to make peace, while Damascus is serious about the matter.
Last year, Turkey mediated several rounds of indirect peace negotiations between Israel and Syria. But Syria suspended them in December over Israel’s military offensive in Gaza.
Assad said in a newspaper interview in March that the Turkish-mediated talks failed because Israel would not make a clear commitment to return all of the Golan up to the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee.

Young American Muslim fears honor killing after leaving Islam

Hamas fund-raiser dines with U.S. president
The dribble Obama read from his teleprompter to his Muslim guests the other night was in all the papers so the world can witness Americas new found love and respect for all things Muslim. I could pick his platitudes to Islam apart but what would be the point as they are glaringly obvious to most non-Muslims and I’m sure the cause of uncontrolled laughter by many Muslims. Here is one of Obamas gems; ” Indeed, the contribution of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country.”
What I will tell you though is who Mr. Obama invited into the White House.
According to the guest list printed in the L.A. Times, Dr. Ingrid Mattson, president, Islamic Society of North America broke bread with the ever appeasing president. ISNA was named as an unindicted co conspirator in the Holy Land Foundations terrorist fund raising campaign for Hamas. ISNA is also linked with the Muslim Brotherhood which is hell bent on the destruction of the west [especially America] from within its own governments and institutions. Could it be the White House staff are so inept at their jobs that Dr. Mattsons dubious past and present escaped their attention. Perhaps the secret service had the week off and was not able to double check who would stroll through the front door of one of Americas most secure locations.
I suppose your guess is as good as mine.
Niqabs and Burqas – The Veiled Threat Continues
by Daniel Pipes… What’s new on the niqab and burqa front?

An Afghan soldier stands guard over a burqa used by a male Taliban suicide bomber to attack government buildings in Paktia Province.
To remind, both garments are designed for the modesty of Muslim females; the niqab covers all but the eyes and the burqa covers the entire face. In “Ban the Burqa – and the Niqab Too,” two years ago, I documented how these two items pose criminal and terrorist dangers.
Is that still the case?
Criminality: Jordan offers a glimpse into the potential for niqabs and burqas as illegal accessories: one news report indicates that 50 people committed 170 crimes using Islamic garments during the past two years, or roughly one incident every four days, a crime wave that has prompted some Jordanians to call for restricting or even banning these Islamic head coverings.
No other country reports nearly so many head-garment-related crimes, but Philadelphia, Pennsylvania boasts multiple robberies (3 banks and 1 real estate leasing office) in a sixteen-month period in 2007-08, including the murder of a police officer.
The United Kingdom has the West’s second-worst record. Jewelry stores – some owned by Muslims – have been targeted in the West Midlands, Glasgow, and Oxfordshire. Two travel agencies were attacked in the adjoining towns of Dunstable and Luton while an armored truck driver was assaulted in Birmingham. Robbery is not the only motive; teenagers in London, used niqab-style face coverings when stabbing a younger boy.
Other criminal incidents in the West include east European pickpockets wearing Islamic headgear in Rotterdam and a burgundy burqa’ed armed robbery at the People’s Bank in Hiddenite, North Carolina (population: 6,000). The man who abducted Elizabeth Smart, 14, of Salt Lake City, forced her to wear a niqab-like garment that hid her in plain sight for nine months.
In response, banks, credit unions, jewelry stores, and schools are limiting access to persons of cover. For example, the Carolina Federal Credit Union of Cherryville, North Carolina, not far from Hiddenite, steers anyone wearing hats, sunglasses, or hoods to an isolated teller where special security measures obtain.
Terrorism: Taliban reliance on burqa’ed terrorism, often of the suicide variety, makes Afghanistan the current world epicenter of this tactic. On two occasions, authorities foiled would-be suicide bombers before they could act – one a Russian male convert to Islam with 500 kilograms of explosives in an automobile in Paktia Province, the other an Afghan woman hiding a bomb in Jalalabad. Gang of black youths beat up 11 year old Jewish girl. Use anti semitic slurs
From Vosizneias.com:
h/t The Baron:
Crown Heights, NY – An 11-year-old Jewish girl was attacked at a Crown Heights playground by a band of black youths who slammed her into a metal slide, kicked her repeatedly – and pelted her with anti-Semitic invective, the girl’s mom said.
“Dumb Jew! B—-! Why are you here? Why are you in this world?” the boys screamed as they pummeled Nechama Benjamin at a Montgomery St. playground.
The shocking attack by at least three boys is being investigated by police. The beating caused Nechama to black out and left her with a bloody nose – and a terrible fear of leaving home, her mom said.
“My daughter told me she is afraid to go out, to go to the park – to go anywhere,” said Elka Benjamin, 31. Continue Reading →

Muslim principal allegedly irate that wrestler left Islam to be baptized

A high school hall-of-fame and Christian wrestling coach in Dearborn, Mich., claims he was muscled out of his long-tenured coaching job by the school’s principal, a devout Muslim, because the administrator was furious over a student wrestler who had converted to Christianity from Islam.
Gerald Marsazalek has coached wrestling for 35 years at Dearborn Public Schools, amassing more than 450 wins and, in addition to being added to the Michigan High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame, was named “Sportsman of the Year” by the All-American Athletic Association.
Despite Marsazalek’s success, however, Principal Imad Fadlallah of Dearborn’s Fordson High School ordered the administration not to renew the coach’s contract, allegedly in retaliation over the student’s conversion and to continue a campaign of flushing Christianity out of the school.
“We are getting a glimpse of what happens when Muslims who refuse to accept American values and principles gain political power in an American community,” said Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, which is representing Marsazalek. “Failure to renew coach Marszalek’s contract had nothing to do with wrestling and everything to do with religion.” Continue Reading →
Yale University Press runs scared of Islamists
So let’s get this straight. A book about the Danish cartoons, with no pictures of the cartoons.
Yale University criticised over censorship of book on Danish cartoons row
Yale University has been accused of self-censorship after deciding to publish a book about controversial cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed without including any of the images at the heart of the row.

The Cartoons That Shook the World, by Danish-born professor Jytte Klausen, set to be published in November, will examine the protest campaign against the caricatures first published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in 2005.
She told Fox News she was disappointed that Yale University Press had “rolled back our own principles” and questioned why it has consulted anonymous experts before making its decision.
“I regard the experts’ advice to the university as alarmist and misplaced,” she said.
“The images were published widely before protests gathered steam, orchestrated by a network of Islamist preachers and motivated by anti-Western sentiment.”
Sherry Jones, an author whose novel the Jewel of Medina was shelved by Random House because of fears of violent reprisals, said: “I decided to take a stand for free speech and publish my books in spite of threats and violence because I wanted to make a positive difference in the world,”
“Yale University Press’s decision, like that of the executives at Random House, does the opposite,” she said. “Self-censorship changes our world for the worse.”
The original cartoons, published in September 2005, where the result of a competition set by the newspaper.
One showed Mohammed with a ticking bomb in his turban and like others was regarded as blasphemous by many Muslims whose faith bans the depiction of the Prophet.
95 killed on Iraq’s deadliest day since U.S. handover
These terror attacks are nothing to do with trying to grab power in Iraq. They are only to punish those who do not hold the same views as the attackers. To think that al-Qaeda members can justify and celebrate the mass slaughter of fellow Muslims shows their evil knows no limit.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — A series of bombings rocked Iraq’s capital within one hour Wednesday, killing at least 95 people and wounding 563 others, an Iraqi Interior Ministry official said.
The six explosions marked the country’s deadliest day since the United States pulled its combat troops from Iraqi cities and towns nearly two months ago and left security in the hands of the Iraqis.
In one attack, a truck bomb exploded outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — a blast that blew through the front of the building, sending some vehicles flying and leaving others in mangled twists of metal.
Nearby, Iraqi security forces stood with shocked expressions as ambulances screamed past.
Another truck bomb went off outside the Ministry of Finance building.
In central Baghdad, a roadside bomb exploded on Kifa Street, and another bomb exploded in the Salhiya neighborhood, where on Tuesday security forces had avoided injuries by successfully defusing a truck bomb. Wednesday’s other two bombs exploded in eastern Baghdad’s Beirut Square, officials said.
“The terrorism attacks that took place today require, without a doubt, the re-evaluation of our plans and our security mechanisms to face the challenges of terrorism,” Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said in a written statement.
U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Chris Hill and Gen. Ray Odierno, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, issued a joint statement condemning the bombings.
“The horrific injuries and loss of life witnessed in Baghdad today are terrorist attacks that serve no legitimate purpose,” they said.
The attacks “will not deter Iraqis from continuing their efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous society and engage the international community, nor will they weaken our resolve to help them in their efforts,” they added.
Two people believed to be connected to the bombings have been arrested, an official with the Iraqi army told CNN. Continue Reading →
Iraq says Iran-made rockets found from attacked US base
BAGHDAD: Police say Iraqi forces seized a launcher loaded with 13 Iranian-made rockets after an attack against the US base outside the southern city of Basra.
Col. Karim al-Zaidi says the missiles were found Tuesday in an eastern section of the mainly Shiite city.
He says Iraqi forces raided the area after five rockets were fired at the US base late Monday.
The oil-rich area of Basra has been a Shiite militia stronghold but violence has declined sharply following a US-backed government offensive that led to a ceasefire last year.
Still, attacks continue. Three American soldiers were killed in a rocket attack against the base in mid-July.
The US military says Iran is continuing to support violence in Iraq. Tehran denies the allegation.
