Frankly, this is something that most readers of Vlad will already have some idea about, if not know as much as is here in this excellent informative and well produced video by the Christian Broadcast Network. Erick stakelbeck does his usual thorough job of investigation and explanation and it begs the question. Why is a small Christian media outfit doing the job the large media giants simply will not do, FOX not withstanding.

My guess is, a combination of editorial cowardice, and editorial disbelief that these issues are as presented here, as well as fear of a far left government in the US shutting down any media that might present Islam in a bad light much as it appears to be doing to the CIA and FBI.

Found: genes that make kids smart

SCIENTISTS have identified more than 200 genes potentially associated with academic performance in schoolchildren. The Australian.com

Those schoolchildren possessing the “right” combinations achieved significantly better results in numeracy, literacy and science.

The finding emerged from a study of more than 4000 British children to pinpoint the genes and genetic combinations that influence reasoning skills and general intelligence.

One of its main conclusions is that intelligence is controlled by a network of thousands of genes with each making just a small contribution to overall intelligence, rather than the handful of powerful genes that scientists once predicted.

The researchers believe their work could eventually lead to genetic tests to predict babies’ academic potential. Continue Reading →

More media double standards

Of course, the media is outraged at attempts to preserve classical liberalism in Europe, and refer to anyone who wants to as “far right wing” but dead silence on actual laws that forbid any non-Islamic religions or cultures within Muslim lands. The game they show is a great example. The game is banned even though its far far less violent than most games, but not a peep about actual burning of Churches and Christians in the Islamic world and even our ‘ally’ Pakistan. It would almost seem as if the media uses the Islamic definition of slander.

Anything that makes Islam look bad true or not and especially if it is true.

A former Pakistani special forces officer has emerged as al Qaeda’s most dangerous field commander in charge of a network of deep-cover agents in Europe who has had contact with an American terror suspect, Western intelligence officials say.
Meet Mohammad Ilyas Kashmiri, the jihadist network’s new chief of operations who is thought to have masterminded the 2008 paramilitary raid on Mumbai.

Last month, the U.S. government added him to its list of designated terrorists that includes top al Qaeda leaders including Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahri, still thought to be the No. 1 and No. 2 al Qaeda leaders. Kashmiri is a top target for the U.S. military and CIA field operatives around the world.

“Ilyas Kashmiri is clearly in the tradition of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, he is the heir to the position of global operational commander for al Qaeda,” said Frances Townsend, White House director of homeland security during President George W. Bush’s administration.

Bruce Riedel, a former senior CIA officer, said: “He certainly has to be regarded today as one of the top operational commanders of al Qaeda. Because of his connections in Pakistan, he brings capabilities that probably no one else has. Paramilitary experience, connections to the Pakistani army and the Pakistani intelligence service, he knows where the bodies are.”

Kashmiri has been on the radar of the United States for the past few years. In 2009, the CIA thought it had killed Kashmiri in a drone strike in northwestern Pakistan. But the al Qaeda commander granted an interview to the Asia Times in October of that year in which he boasted that the rumors of his demise were false.

More recently, Kashmiri has emerged as a top threat to the West because of his connection to David Coleman Headley, an American arrested on terrorism charges in October for his role in helping to plot the Mumbai attacks in 2008 and conspiring to attack Jyllands-Posten, the Danish newspaper that published in 2005 cartoons of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad.

The indictment says Mr. Headley, an American citizen, met with Kashmiri in the Pakistani province of Waziristan in 2009. It also says that Kashmiri recommended contacts in Western Europe that could provide Mr. Headley “with money, weapons and manpower for the attack on the newspaper.”

Those terrorist contacts in Western Europe have been the focus of major concern among U.S. intelligence agencies, according to two current intelligence officers and one former senior intelligence official interviewed for this article.

Mr. Riedel, author of the book “The Search for Al Qaeda: Its Leadership, Ideology and Future,” also said of those contacts: “As far as we know, that [clandestine] team is still somewhere in Western Europe.”

A stabbing in Södermalm

A man was on Monday evening was knifed in Södermalm. According to the initial information about the attackers, they seem to have committed the deed because they believed that he belonged to the Sweden Democrats.

Shortly before 22 o’clock a man was attacked on Magnus Ladulåsgatan. He received a knife cut to his stomach, but survived with minor injuries. The man beating him was alarmed and told police that he cut him with the knife because they thought he was a Sweden Democrat.

A woman who has threatened to blow herself up on the Paris transport system is being hunted by police.

The bomb threat, which followed France’s ban last week on the Muslim burka headdress, was being taken ‘extremely seriously’, said an interior ministry source.

Stop-and-search tactics were being used at all major transport hubs, including the Eurostar terminal, and British tourists and other visitors were warned to be on their guards.

‘Women have successfully carried out kamikaze attacks in other parts of the world, including the Middle East, and there is a great fear that one is planning such an atrocity in France,’ said the source.

‘Middle Eastern desert dress is often used to hide explosives in cases like this.

‘Everything possible is being done to find this woman before it’s too late.’

The ban on the Muslim face veil has prompted threats from radical Islamist groups including al-Qaeda.

There was a bomb warning at the Eiffel Tower last Thursday, while senior politicians and the moderate rector of Paris’s Grande Mosquée, Dalil Boubakeur, have been given armed guards after death threats.

Interior minister Brice Hortefeux said: ‘The terrorist threat is real and today our vigilance is reinforced. There are an array of clues… which show the terrorist threat is extremely high.’

Two Gateshead men arrested for watching 9/11 Koran burning video

In a disturbing development, Northumbria Police in Gateshead last week arrested two men after they watched and shared a video on Facebook of a man burning the Koran in the US during the recent 9/11 commemoration at Ground Zero in New York.

The men were drinking in the Bugle pub, Leam Lane, Gateshead, when they were arrested after watching and sharing the videos.

Around 30 people staged a protest outside Gateshead police station on Wednesday evening, the 15th of September, following the arrests.

The group stood outside the doors to the police station with an England flag for about three hours watched by a contingent of uniformed officers.The protesters had gathered at around 8pm after the two men were arrested earlier in the day on ‘suspicion of inciting racial hatred’.

The protest continued until around 11pm when the two arrested men were bailed pending further enquiries.

Much more information about the Chicago man on Canada Free Press who predictably, was a “devout Muslim” and wanted to kill as many people as he could waging jihad in the streets of America

The police in England now seem to be enforcing sharia law, even though there is no act of legislation that makes burning a page of Koran illegal in any way. At the very very best, this is submission to violent foreign authority and a fifth column. At worst, Bat Ye’or is correct and this is more evidence of collusion to make Britain Islamic.

I’d do it again, says honour killer ABC News

There is a growing push in the Arab world to have men responsible for so-called honour killings treated as murderers by the courts.

Every year hundreds of women are killed by their husbands or brothers or another male family member for supposedly bringing shame on their families.

In many countries the honour killers are given leniency. Many men are not charged, or they spend only a few days or weeks in custody.

But Palestinian human rights groups have recently drafted their own amendments to have them treated as murderers.

Khaled Mahmoud, 21, admits beating his sister to death last year in the West Bank.

“She has made very wrong decisions,” he said.

“I started drinking then I got crazy. When I saw her I beat her. I smashed her head to the wall.”

His sister Asmaa – not her real name – was 23, a university student, and engaged to be married to another Muslim.

As brother and sister they were close, yet Mahmoud says she made the unforgivable mistake of sleeping with another man, a Christian, and brought enormous shame on the family. Continue Reading →
