Muslim man demands right to bring second wife to Ireland

A Muslim man has gone to the High Court in Ireland demanding that he be allowed bring in his second wife to Ireland.

The native of Lebanon, where polygamy is allowed, says his polygamous marriage must be recognized.

Liam Egan, a member of the Muslim Public Affairs Congress, told the Irish Sunday Times the man was being discriminated against unfairly. “It is draconian to treat this family differently,” said Egan.

“Ireland discriminates against Muslims seeking citizenship by asking them to sign an affidavit. The state should not be interfering in families like this. It is silent on adulterous affairs but the moment you try and do something honourable by bringing a woman into a marriage, even a polygamous marriage, there is an issue.”

The man first entered Ireland some years ago and claimed political asylum which was granted. It is believed there are numerous other cases involving second or even more wives awaiting the court’s verdict. British law allows only one wife to legally emigrate.

Liam Egan says the Koran allows Muslims to marry and “love each of them equally.” The Immigrant Council of Ireland says the case highlights the need for the government to deal fairly with the issue.

The driver parked without warning then rolled out a fluorescent jacket as an improvised prayer mat.

Police warn of Jihad training for children

Some young children in Britain are being indoctrinated to hate non-Muslims and champion a holy war, according to a new documentary.

”No child is ever too young to be started off on Jihad training,” states one document recovered by police from the North West’s Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) during raids.

CTU officers, interviewed by the BBC’s Inside Out team for a special programme, show the document and a film they recovered of two children aged about three and six playing with a pistol and Kalashnikov rifle.

The officers say the discoveries are evidence of attempts to radicalise youngsters. The footage, which police believe was filmed in Pakistan, was uncovered on the hard drive of a suspect’s computer – though investigators have not revealed when the material was seized.

The video shows a girl and young boy playing with guns, which police believe are real. ”What do you do with the weapon?” asks a man’s voice. He answers his own question: ”I want to kill the infidels.”

A senior CTU officer, who cannot be identified for security reasons, tells the programme makers: ”We believe this was filmed abroad. We have no idea who the children are. We were shocked to find it at the house. We have no reason to believe this is faked. The guns are real.”

The officer said of another raid: ”We found a series of flash cards and documents on how to raise Mujahid children. The cards were written in English – and instead of having M for Muhammad they had M for Mujahideen. They have the potential to indoctrinate. It just shows the mindset of some people and what we are up against.”

Police also found documents downloaded from an extremist website instructing parents to raise Mujahid children. The documents say: ”The key is to start instilling these values in them while they are babies. Don’t wait until they are seven. Muslim chaplain ‘smuggled’ box-cutter blades into jail

A city Department of Correction Muslim chaplain who served 14 years in prison for murder and robbery was arrested today for carrying three utility blades and a pair of scissors into a lower Manhattan jail, authorities said.

The chaplain, Zulqarnain Abdu-Shahid, had the utility blades and scissors in his duffel bag when he arrived at the Manhattan Detention Complex in the morning, according to the city Department of Investigation.

The dangerous items were found after an X-ray machine alerted correction officers to the presence of metal in the bag, the DOI said. 

Authorities did not say why Abdu-Shahid was visiting the jail, commonly known as the Tombs, or why he was carrying the scissors and the rectangular blades, which were 1-and-1/2 inches long by three-quarters of an inch wide.

Abdu-Shahid, 58, was arrested at the scene and charged with four counts of first-degree promoting prison contraband — a felony carrying a maximum 7-year prison term — and four counts of the same charge in the second degree, a misdemeanor.

The Staten Island resident, who is married with three children, was ordered held in lieu of $30,000 bail during a hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court last night, where he appeared in a long robe and navy blue skull cap.

His lawyer, James McQueeney said the blades were ‘injector razor blades from an injector razor,” and that when Abdu-Shahid told that to the correction officers who stopped him, “his explanation that he didn’t know there were there [in the duffel bag] was accepted.”

“He was allowed into the” Tombs after the blades were confiscated,” McQueeney said. “Only later were questions raised about this.”

Despite that claim, DOI Commissioner Rose Gil Hearn said, “This arrest demonstrates the serious consequences of bringing in contraband to the city’s correctional facilities.” Continue Reading →

Of college girls and Keffiyehs

Once again I noticed riding the buss, that so many young people wear a keffiyeh as a fashion statement or just as likely as a political one. OK that’s fine. I am all for freedom of speech and especially for political speech, the kind that really matters. However I do think it is a good idea for people to actually be clear on what their speech and symbols really mean. today, I saw an attractive young woman wearing as a scarf, the official headdress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Does she have no clue that the Saudis in all probability would not let her wear it at all within the KSA? That she likely would not be able to travel un-escorted on the street or on a public bus with men on it? That in fact she is wearing the very symbol of one of the most oppressive regimes for women’s rights in the world now or ever? You would  have to be sacrificed to a volcano to get much worse treatment as a woman than you do in Saudi Arabia.

And the rest of the children who have been led to believe that supporting Hamas and wearing the keffiyeh is a cool counter-culture, anti-corporate, death to capitalism, anti racism sort of statement I profoundly hope you will read the Hamas charter as well as Hizbolah’s. They are online and quite clear. These organizations are literally genocidal. Hamas and Hizbolah are the most racist large scale governmental organizations since Hitler’s National Socialists.

So by all means, preach death to Jews and demand that Canada adopt sharia law and take away women’s rights to choice about pretty much anything, and demand a caliphate here in Canada and for the world if you feel that is what you want to see. But for the love of (insert gods here) do not advertise your semi-literate, under-informed, fashion-based crapioca on the rest of us when in fact you have no actual clue what the symbols you wear mean, and the groups you support actually fight for with your support and probably your money. If you are a genocidal anti-semite   and want a seventh century religious conservative rule with zero tolerance for all alternative lifestyles or points of view carry on. I will fight you in the streets and on the beeches as needs be. But if you don’t want these things, go home and change.

B’nai Brith exposes Syed Soharwardy as a bigot

I’ve criticized B’nai Brith before for their on-again, off-again support for Canada’s human rights commissions and their censorship laws. Here’s an example. Such support is odd, especially considering the fact that B’nai Brith itself was the target of a five-year censorship vendetta by Manitoba’s Human Rights Commission, spurred by a radical Muslim complainant.

Well last week, to my surprise, I was contacted by B’nai Brith to help them assess the propaganda “fatwa against terrorism” issued by a handful of Canadian Muslim clerics, including Calgary’s Syed Soharwardy.

I was happy to help reveal the true nature of Soharwrady. I documented for them not only Soharwardy’s public statements (his call for sharia law to be imposed in Canada; his slanderous allegation that Christian relief workers in the 2005 tsunami were kidnapping Muslim children) but also his virulently hateful websites. I pointed them to where Soharwardy repeated blood libels against the Jewish talmud, called for the annihilation of Israel, compared Israel to Nazis perpetrating a Holocaust and other statements. Besides having sifted through so much of Soharwardy’s crap on my own, I had also saved the vilest of Soharwardy’s website comments to my hard drive, knowing that my scrutiny would cause him to go back and scrub his sites of the most anti-Semitic material.

Anyways, to my delight, the B’nai Brith issued two press releases on the subject last Friday (here’s the first, here’s the second). Here is the text of them in full:

B’nai Brith Canada concerned about sincerity of Islamic fatwa against terrorism

TORONTO, January 15, 2010 – B’nai Brith Canada questions the wording and intent behind a fatwa against terrorism that was undersigned by a group of North American imams. The recently-issued fatwa, which states that “any attack on Canada and the United States is an attack on the freedom of Canadian and American Muslims. Any attack on Canada and the United States is an attack on thousands of mosques across North America,” was spearheaded by Syed Soharwardy, the president of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC).

Soharwardy and his organization have a track record of disseminating antisemitic and anti-Western sentiment. Although a lot of the disturbing material has been removed from the ISCC’s website, thanks to the probing efforts of Ezra Levant, B’nai Brith was able to acquire archived copies of the offending articles and statements.

“The fact that this fatwa limits itself to terrorism in North America and predicates its anti-terror positions on the damaging effects of terrorism only on the Islamic community is quite concerning,” said Frank Dimant, B’nai Brith Canada’s Executive Vice President. “Is the fatwa implicitly saying that terrorism directed against India, Spain, the U.K., Israel, and Canadian forces in Afghanistan is somehow permissible?

“Syed Soharwardy is the imam whose complaint dragged Ezra Levant through the Alberta Human Rights Commission for publishing the Danish Mohammad cartoons in the Western Standard. We were disgusted when we read some of the virulent antisemitic and anti-Western ravings that were posted to his organization’s website – some trivialized the Holocaust, others prophesized the extinction of the Christian faith, and still others went so far as to speak of a ‘slaughter’ and ‘annihilation’ of Jews.

“What Canadians would truly like to see is for reputable imams within the Islamic community to stand up and denounce all acts of terrorism irrespective of where they occur and who the targets are. And if Imam Soharwardy wants his fatwa to be taken seriously, he needs to publicly reconcile it with the anti-Christian and antisemitic ravings that have appeared on his organization’s website.”

However, I would like to add a thing or two of my own. When the original marines signed a treaty with the Barbary pirates after defeating them (insufficiently in my opinion) that treaty contained prescribed methods of deciept commonly practiced in Islam. The text was different in Arabic and English, and the terms used, have different meanings in Islam (I used Islam as oppose to Arabic on purpose) than they do in English. I mention this because I guarantee you the clerics who signed the fatwa against terror carefully defined it for themselves in a way that does not contradict Koranic verses such as:

8:12 Asad: `I shall cast terror into the hearts of those who are bent on denying the truth; strike, then, their necks, [O believers,] and strike off every one of their finger-tips!” [15]

Or,

Bukhari (52:220) – Allah’s Apostle said… ‘I have been made victorious with terror’

In a pigskin, my point is that there was likely a little deception at least in the fatwa issued condeming terror ‘in North America’

I have my doubts Christians did this in retaliation for burning down a dozen or so churches. I mean retaliation should take the form of some serious action for the utter hate filled destruction of a dozen houses of worship just because the supreme court of Malaysia decided that it was OK for Christians to use the word ‘Allah’ to mean god. No idea why they would want to, Allah is an invention of the paedophile Mohamed who has attributes nothing like the Christian or Jewish gods. ‘Allah is the greatest of tricksters’ is one paraphrase from Koran about Allah. Don’t remember that from bible school about Jesus.

My guess is, like in Pakistan, some Muslims did this in order to create a religious false flag to really start some Christian killing like when Christians were accused of tearing pages from Koran and whole villages were burned and so on.

 TIMESONLINE… The head of the Islam Channel, Britain’s most popular Muslim television station, has been arrested in South Africa and faces deportation to Tunisia over terrorism allegations.

The Times disclosed more than a year ago that Mohamed Ali Harrath, a Scotland Yard adviser against Islamic extremism, was wanted by Interpol because of his alleged activities in his homeland. His arrest on Sunday after a flight from London is being blamed by supporters on a security clampdown by the South African authorities in the run-up to this summer’s World Cup.

Harrath, 46, is the force behind the Islam Channel, which is watched by 59 per cent of British Muslims and beamed by satellite to 132 countries. He has been fêted by politicians, with the Liberal Democrat leader, Nick Clegg, the minister Shahid Malik and the Tory frontbencher Dominic Grieve attending his annual festival. The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, gave him a platform to address thousands in Trafalgar Square in September at the official taxpayer-funded event to mark the end of Ramadan. Harrath, who has a heart condition, collapsed during his arrest and is being treated at Eugene Marais hospital in Pretoria, where he is under police guard. The broadcaster has been convicted in absentia of numerous criminal and terrorism-related offences by Tunisian courts and sentenced to 56 years in prison.

A pro-Israel rally in Malmo, Sweden was torn apart Sunday by pro-Palestinian residents who arrived on the scene with eggs, bottles, and tear gas grenades which they threw at Israel’s supporters. Police dispersed the entire crowd.

Hundreds of people took part in the rally in support of Israel, which was held at the city’s main square. Elad Meier, a Bnei Akiva and Jewish Agency envoy to Sweden said it was organized by a committee of volunteers from the Jewish community and outside of it.

Protestors carried signs that said ‘Stop eight years of Qassams’ and ‘Peace for children in Israel and Gaza’. The organizers received a police permit for the demonstration.

However, a number of pro-Palestinian protestors who did not have a permit to demonstrate took to the streets in retaliation to the approved rally. They were not dispersed by police despite lacking a permit.

“At some point, about a half an hour after the protest began, pro-Palestinian protestors began to throw eggs, bottles, and even a tear gas grenade,” Meier recounted.

He added that the lawless protestors disconnected the speakers brought to the square by the Jewish community while its leader was speaking. The act brought the pro-Israel rally to an end, as others could not speak.

At this point, Meier said, police stepped in and asked the unruly protestors to leave. Officers then proceeded to clear the square of all present, including those who had received permission to demonstrate.

The pro-Israel protestors were angered by the police’s conduct and lodged an official complaint stating that only those who had protested without a permit should have been dispersed.

Berlin: Polish girls attacked in school

The headscarf debate is gaining a new, brutal dimension in Neukölln (Berlin): headscarf-wearing girls suddenly attack others, preferably blond students. The school administration and municipal school authority are very concerned.

Volker Steffens, head of the Thomas-Morus high-school says that twice girls with headscarves punched blond fellow students without headscarves, pushed them to the ground and kicked them. About 80% of the 500 students in the school are of foreign origin, representing 41 nations. The principal says that once a headscarf-wearing girl tried to set fire to the hair of another blond student, and that the victims are mostly Polish.

Rita Herrmanns of the Berlin school authority says that fundamentalist tendencies have been taking over in Berlin schools as well in recent years. Increasingly, more girls wear headscarves, more Muslim parents forbid their daughters from participating in class trips, swimming and sex-ed classes.

Principal Volker Steffens who sees the consequences on the front lines says that Islamist tendencies and direct racist attacks by girls are striking.

The victims are blond Polish girls since they’re Catholic and yet very liberal, and therefore embody everything that the headscarf-girls reject. Steffens says the reason for the conflict is often envy. The girls are banned from many things in their own strict religious upbringing at home, but in school they see other girls who are allowed more. They get jealous and want to beat up the children from more liberal families.

Volker Steffens sets limits to the violence and aggression and says that incidents are discussed with the students and dealt with, going from reprimands to being excluded from school events or from school.

Rita Herrmanns says that this is good, since the one thing that shouldn’t happen is to look the other way. This violence should be made public.
