The event, organised on the social networking site, was planned for Friday, when the streets would be teeming with Muslims coming out of mosques.

But police cracked down on the pork-based protest and any other copycat gatherings in the Goutte d’Or area of northern Paris’ 18th arrondissement, or district.

Officials stated that the party could cause ‘serious risks to public order’. The party was following a growing trend in France to host open-air drinks parties, organised via Facebook.

The original idea for the Paris gathering came from a woman calling herself Sylvie Francois, who said that she no longer felt at home in the neighbourhood where she had lived all her life.

‘People of French origin can’t have a drink in peace there. If you are a woman you get hostile looks if you’re not wearing an (Islamic) veil,’ she stated.

Her party, who had nearly 7,000 Facebook attendees, urged users to bring a bottle of wine and a sausage.

The party was then picked up by extremist groups, who published it to other Internet sites as a response to the ‘fascist-Islamist offensive in France.’

The street party would have paraded pork and alcohol, forbidden by Islamic law, outside of a mosque on the Rue Myrha.

A ‘halal and mint tea’ party was set up on Facebook in response to the protest.

UAE: Court Sentences Teenage Gang Rape Victim to 1 Year in Prison

A court in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has convicted an 18 year old girl (”LH”) to one year in prison for “consensual sex.”  The UAE court convicted her because she agreed to be alone in the car with a man “YM.”

As previously reported, the teenage girl had previously alleged that she was gang raped by six men.  the UAE “The Nation” newspaper reported that LH had “12 bruises ranging from 1cm to 7 cm long on her upper lip, hands, thighs, knee, and behind her left ear.”  LH indicated that her brother had beaten her, although the beatings happened at different times.

However, after the teenage girl “LH” filed charges of rape, according to the “The Nation” on May 25, “LH” was then charged with the crime of “extramarital sex,” which could have led to a penalty of “lashes and a maximum sentence of life in prison,” with a minimum of three years in prison.  LH then pleaded with the court to allow her to withdraw the rape charges, while one of the accused rapists laughed at her in court.  According to the LA Times, LH appeared before the court “shackled and clothed in an inmate’s uniform of hunter green and a black headscarf” and “she rescinded the allegations ‘to get out of’ jail, Bloomberg Businessweek reported.”

The UAE court had reportedly considered the lesser criminal charge of “deception” against “LH,” but chose to convict of “consensual sex,” with a sentence of  1 year in prison. Continue Reading →

Worst human rights offenders condemn West

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.” — Adolf Hitler.

In what can only be described as Orwellian double-speak, the Organization of the Islamic Conference told the United Nations Human Rights Council — made up of many of the world’s worst human rights violators — that Muslims in western democracies face unbearable racism and discrimination, and demanded that the UN do something about it.

“People of Arab origin face new forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance and experience discrimination and marginalization,” an Egyptian delegate said on Wednesday.

Pakistan, speaking for the 57-nation OIC, tabled a resolution instructing the council’s special investigator into religious freedom to look into such racism, “especially in western societies” to “work closely with mass media organizations to ensure that they create and promote an atmosphere of respect and tolerance for religious and cultural diversity.”

Mahfooz Kanwar, a professor emeritus at Mount Royal University and author, said these resolutions — which are expected to pass owing to the over-abundance of “Islamist and other dictatorial states” that sit on the oxymoronically named UN Human Rights Council — would be funny for their sheer audacity and hypocrisy if they were not so potentially harmful and disturbing. A group of Afghan Christian refugees, who escaped to India to save their lives, describe the hardships they face in their homeland, where Muslim converts to Christianity are put to death. They call on the international community to put pressure on the Afghan government to spare those sentenced to death.

New Delhi (AsiaNews) – VijayKumar Singh, from the India Bible Publishers and the Delhi Bible Fellowship, has launched an appeal to the Christians of India and the world to pray and express their support for Afghan Muslim converts to Christianity who were convicted on conversion charges and sentenced to death on 31 May. Speaking to AsiaNews, Sing said, “We need Christians’ help all over the world to stop the Afghan government from arresting Dari-speaking Afghan Christians and condemning them to death by public execution.”

Afghans consider their country to be 100 per cent Muslim. A local TV station, Noorin TV, recently broadcast a documentary showing photos and videos of secret “Afghan Christian Converts”, which revealed names and showed the faces of alleged Afghan Christian converts.

This was enough to spark riots and demonstrations throughout Afghanistan with protesters demanding strong action to enforce the Afghan constitution, based on Sharia, arrest the culprits, and execute anyone who renege his or her religion in favour of another. Continue Reading →

Globe & Mail publishes 14 page doc on the Asqa Parvez murder

This is extraordinary. The Parvez family loathed the Kuffar. For Kuffar, read Canadians. The had 8 kids of which Asqa was the youngest at 16 when she was murdered. They were all born in Pakistan, and the other Parvez children are married to 1st cousins from Pakistan. Yes all 7 of them. Asqa was also set up for a forced marriage. She declined. She was killed.

All of her sisters wear the Hijab or whatever, and Asqa refused.

All of her siblings with the exception of two, were home in their respective bedrooms during the murder. Their respective children were also at the dwelling.  This would be something like 15 people in the home during the murder by strangulation. Each was in a bedroom and ‘heard nothing’.

She had friends which were not Muslims, which enraged her father. He also threatened to send her to an Islamic school as I suspect, the public school in which she attended was not ‘suitable’. He was upset Asqa rejected the hijab and was further annoyed his daughter sought a part-time job. None of his other daughters worked and were entirely dependent upon their husbands.  After her death he phoned 911 and confessed to the murder. When police arrived at the scene, his arms were covered in blood.

For the first time in her life she went to the movies 3 days before she was murdered. Some of those who went with her, were infidels. For infidels, read Canadians.

Below, some of the article from the Globe & Mail. However click on over to read the 14 page report. Its quite something. Will be hard for the apologists to get around this clear Islamic motive for this murder of a daughter.

MONTREAL – Favouring her left forearm, on which spots of blood had soaked through the white bandage, the woman stood in the prisoner’s box looking crushed, accused of stabbing her own daughter in what police say was an “honour crime.”

After her lawyer, Tom Pentefountas, asked to delay the formal laying of charges so his client’s psychological fitness for trial could be determined, the woman’s husband stood up in the back of the court and shouted to the judge: “Please sir, my wife is innocent!”

He soon began to weep, completing the picture of a family utterly torn asunder by what transpired early Sunday morning.

The 19-year-old daughter remains in hospital with knife wounds to the head, shoulders and arms.

It’s believed that the daughter came home late, Pentefountas, a prominent name in the Montreal legal community, indicated to the court.

One source said she is believed to have returned home after 3 a.m. The assault happened just after 8, according to police.

Police based their theory that it was an honour crime on “what we saw at the scene of the crime,” said Olivier Lapointe, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service, and especially on interviews with people inside the house and the victim herself.

It appeared related to the “behavior of the victim,” Lapointe said.

The woman, 38-year-old Johra Kaleki, faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. Continue Reading →

The father and brother of Aqsa Parvez have pleaded guilty to murdering the rebellious 16-year-old in an abhorrent honour killing.

Muhammad Parvez, 60, and his son, Waqas, 29, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Tuesday in the Dec. 10 2007 strangulation of Aqsa and they face an automatic term of life in prison .

At the time of her shocking murder, which Peel Police have described as a “planned and deliberate act,” the Grade 11 Mississauga student was estranged from her Muslim family because she was bristling at their restrictions. She had moved in with a friend’s family and no longer wore a hijab in her Applewood high school in Mississauga.

In an agreed statement of facts read by Sandra Caponecchia, court heard Aqsa, who had already been promised by her family in an arranged marriage, ran away from home twice because of her lack of freedom. With assistance from her school counselor, she stayed at a shelter the first time and with a friend the next. Despite her father allowing her to wear Western clothes and begging her to return, she refused to come back.

She had told her friends that her dad had sworn on the Koran that he would kill her if she ran away again.

On Dec. 10, her brother Waqsa confronted her at the school bus stop and she was taken away in the Parvez van at about 7:20 am. Just over 30 minutes later, her father called 911 and said he “killed his daughter” using his hands. Continue Reading →

Full veils are banned in all public spaces in small towns Lerida and El Vendrell, which like Barcelona are in the northeastern region of Catalonia.

“Barcelona will forbid the use of the burqa, niqab and any other item which hinders personal identification in any of the city’s public installations,” a statement from the Barcelona municipal government said.

The French cabinet approved a bill last month to outlaw the wearing of niqabs and burqas in public, and Belgium’s lower house has voted in favour of prohibiting the full veil, provoking strong reaction and stoking debate across Europe.

Barcelona Mayor Jordi Hereu resisted calls to impose a ban on full face veils in all public spaces in Spain’s second-largest city because he said it was outside the jurisdiction of a municipal government.

“The use of the burqa and niqab undermines the dignity and freedom of women,” Alberto Fernandez, a Barcelona city councillor for the conservative Popular Party (PP), said on his website.

“The mayoral decree is a half-measure, because as well as forbidding the burqa and niqab in public installations, it is necessary to forbid it on the street,” he added.

The Barcelona ban is due to take effect after the summer.

Spain was partly ruled by Islamic Moors from the 8th to the 15th centuries and had around 1.4 million Muslims in 2009 – about 3 percent of the population – according to the Islamic Commission of Spain.

In a recent controversy, a young woman in Madrid changed schools after refusing to remove her Islamic headscarf when the institute where she was studying enforced its rule banning the wearing of headcoverings.

A motorist has been fined for erratic driving caused by her Islamic headscarf, just weeks after a similar incident sparked a major political row.

Police in Vaucluse in southern France stopped the woman after she was spotted driving her vehicle carelessly on the road.

It was then officers noticed the driver was wearing a niqab, a veil that leaves only the eyes exposed, and that her sight was impaired, according to commanding officer Charles Bourillon.

‘[The headscarf] was bothering the driver in her manoeuvres … It was obvious she could not see a thing,’ he said.

Police gave the driver a ticket for 22 euros (£18) for driving with a reduced field of vision.

Officers then suggested that the woman remove her niqab to improve her sight, which she did.

The Islamic veil has become a political hot potato in France.

President Nicolas Sarkozy’s government is pushing ahead with a legal ban on wearing full-face veils such as the niqab or burqa in public, despite a warning from state judicial experts that such a law could be unconstitutional.

In April, a woman in the French city of Nantes was fined for wearing a veil while driving.

The incident spiralled after a minister threatened to punish her Muslim husband for offences including polygamy.

MONTREAL – A 38-year-old woman is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon on charges of attempted murder, armed assault and possession of a weapon with dangerous intent after her daughter, 19, suffered serious stab wounds at the family’s West Island home.

The victim suffered significant injuries to her head and face but was listed in stable condition Monday, police said.

Police said the weapon used was a large kitchen knife. The victim was attacked at her home on Louise Lamy St. near Carson Ave. in Dorval about 8:15 a.m. Sunday. The victim’s father and three sisters, age 10, 14 and 16, were home at the time of the stabbing, police Constable Anie Lemieux said.

Montreal police Constable Olivier Lapointe said the incident is being investigated as a possible honour crime, generally defined as an act of violence perpetrated because the victim is believed to have brought dishonor upon the family. The family is originally from Afghanistan, police said.

Lapointe noted that the victim had stayed out all night before she was attacked and this will be considered as part of the investigation.

Saudi Clerics Advocate Adult Breast-Feeding

(June 5) — Women in Saudi Arabia should give their breast milk to male colleagues and acquaintances in order to avoid breaking strict Islamic law forbidding mixing between the sexes, two powerful Saudi clerics have said. They are at odds, however, over precisely how the milk should be conveyed.

A fatwa issued recently about adult breast-feeding to establish “maternal relations” and preclude the possibility of sexual contact has resulted in a week’s worth of newspaper headlines in Saudi Arabia. Some have found the debate so bizarre that they’re calling for stricter regulations about how and when fatwas should be issued.

Sheikh Al Obeikan, an adviser to the royal court and consultant to the Ministry of Justice, set off a firestorm of controversy recently when he said on TV that women who come into regular contact with men who aren’t related to them ought to give them their breast milk so they will be considered relatives.

“The man should take the milk, but not directly from the breast of the woman,” Al Obeikan said, according to Gulf News. “He should drink it and then becomes a relative of the family, a fact that allows him to come in contact with the women without breaking Islam’s rules about mixing.”

Obeikan said the fatwa applied to men who live in the same house or come into contact with women on a regular basis, except for drivers.

Al Obeikan, who made the statement after being asked on TV about a 2007 fatwa issued by an Egyptian scholar about adult breast-feeding, said that the breast milk ought to be pumped out and given to men in a glass.

But his remarks were followed by an announcement by another high-profile sheik, Abi Ishaq Al Huwaini, who said that men should suckle the breast milk directly from a woman’s breast.

Shortly after the two sheiks weighed in on the matter, a bus driver in the country’s Eastern Region reportedly told one of the female teachers whom he drives regularly that he wanted to suckle milk from her breast. The teacher has threaten to file a lawsuit against him. Continue Reading →
