Sometimes when Mohamed Fadil is at the mosque or having a meal with friends, he hears mention of his former boss, the late patriarch of the Khadr family, Ahmed Saeed Khadr. They’ll say he gave up his life in Canada to help the needy in Afghanistan. “They say, ‘He’s a great man who left a legacy behind,’ ” Mr. Fadil said. “They don’t know what he did.”

But Mr. Fadil said he knows.

Until now, Mr. Fadil has kept quiet about what he saw when he worked alongside Mr. Khadr in Afghanistan and Pakistan in the late 1980s. They crossed paths again in the late 1990s until Mr. Khadr fled Kabul following the 9/11 attacks.

But he said he decided to break his silence to set the record straight about the “breach of trust” he claims Mr. Khadr committed by using charities as a cover while he waged and facilitated violence.

While the Khadr family name is now widely associated with Omar Khadr, Mr. Fadil’s account bolsters the case that the young Canadian at Guantanamo Bay is to some extent paying for the sins of his father.

Among Mr. Fadil’s claims:

  • Mr. Khadr was an influential advisor to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda deputy Ayman Al-Zawahiri. He also kept Egyptian terrorists on his payroll, notably Abu Khabab, a bomb expert who experimented with chemical weapons and ran one of al-Qaeda’s most notorious terrorist training camps.
  • Despite raising money in Canada for the needy, Mr. Khadr neglected his charity duties to participate in fighting in Afghanistan and allowed more than 100 Egyptian militants to use his office as a transit point for their journey to jihad in Afghanistan.
  • Mr. Khadr is linked to several deadly attacks, notably the 1989 assassination of Abdullah Azzam, a popular Islamic scholar. Mr. Fadil also alleged that Mr. Khadr repeatedly plotted to kill him, apparently viewing him as a rival and a threat to his fundraising efforts in Canada. “Khadr tried to kill me three times,” Mr. Fadil said.
  • The Khadr family has denied the allegations. They accused Mr. Fadil of spreading “rumours and half-truths” and said he was only trying to get back at the family for telling the CIA and CSIS what they know about him. Continue Reading →

    Pregnant new bride dies after being set on fire in garden

    A pregnant woman has died after being found on fire in her garden.

    Neighbours said the 23-year-old woman – named locally as Asiyah Khan – arrived in the country earlier this year and had an arranged marriage.

    She was rarely seen outside the house, which she shared with her husband Naveed, mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

    Police were investigating the incident yesterday and it was not clear whether Mrs Khan had set herself on fire or had been set alight by someone else. No one has been arrested in connection with her death.

    Emergency services were called to the residential street in Bradford at 7.15pm on Thursday, but Mrs Khan was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Neighbour Debbie Gregoire said the family returned home from a shopping trip to find the house locked. Naveed Khan climbed over the gate to find his wife’s body in the back garden. Continue Reading →

    The full Islamic face-veil is a part of the “British way of life” and should be celebrated along with religious symbols such as the crucifix, according to a report published today.

    Opponents of the veil claim it oppresses women and presents a barrier between those who wear traditional dress and the rest of society.

    But in a new report from think-tank Civitas, Alveena Malik, a former faith adviser to the last Labour government, said the test of whether religious symbols are appropriate should be based on whether they are practical.

    Politicians in France and Belgium have voted in favour of banning the full veil, or “niqab”, and other European countries are thought to be considering similar action.

    In a new report, Women, Islam and Western Liberalism, Mrs Malik said: “We in Britain need to take a different direction from others in Europe and to accept the veil as part of a modern British way of life.”

    She continued: “The wearing of religious symbols, including the full veil, should be a fundamental human right of an individual in both the public and private sphere.

    “The real test for religious symbols in the public sphere should always be: ‘Does the wearing of a symbol (such as the kirpan, turban, yarmulke, crucifix and the veil) hinder a citizen’s ability to perform their public civic duties?’”

    Britain is in a “unique” position to embrace such a public display of faith because of the role the church plays in the affairs of the state and its “multicultural diversity”.

    Mrs Malik was appointed by last government to a panel of faith advisers for the Department for Communities. She has overseen British Council guidance on “intercultural dialogue”.

    This is a nice little moment where LICRA, the French NGO, explains to the UN-HRC just how bad the OIC and Muslim member states are, for destroying the work of attempting to eliminate real racism in the world by claiming ‘Islamophobia’ is a kind of racism which, Islam being an ideology and not a race, it cannot be. Furthermore, the notion that Islam should be so protected that criticism of it should be a crime world wide, as was called for by various UN resolutions, is itself a violation of the most basic of human rights. The right to freedom of speech, not to mention freedom from religion which requires us all to scrutinize our irrational beliefs as often as able and more importantly, as openly.

    I would like to take a moment to mention something.

    There is a team of people who work tirelessly to make up for the disgusting cowardice of the mainstream media overall. Not all of it, certainly some networks, stations, newspapers and so, on do manage to pass on some real news, but so much of what is terribly important seems not to be reported out of fear from Muslims, from the politically correct amongst us that will use every means and pernicious law to silence any detractors from the narrative and the new orthodoxy of anti-liberty leftists, and who prevent real news and statistics to be known.
    Gaia for example, translates a lot of material in several languages which is long, hard, tedious work. KitmanTV is constantly editing and scouring for videos as well as filming events himself and looking for older material that shows how these battles with leftist tyranny and Islam are not new, Baron Bodissey at the Gates of Vienna does more work on a volunteer basis than pretty much any union would allow any overpaid 5 day a week employee to ever do. Bear, one of our translators, actually calls me and asks if there is any work to be done for French –> English –> French.

    Vlad Tepes is really just one tiny island above ground of a lot of very hard work by a lot of people who work tirelessly beneath the surface. I just wanted to mention this and to thank them all, some named, and many, many more not. Perhaps Obama was right. Perhaps together, we can change America and the world and rid it of his kind of irrational leftism, Islamic tyranny and denial of the most basic of human rights, and restore individual liberties again to as many people as are willing to fight for them, once properly informed.

    Britain is ‘losing the battle against Islamic extremism’ by failing to outlaw burqas, the architect of the French ban said today.

    Jacques Myard, a senior member of President Nicolas Sarkozy’s ruling UMP party, said relaxed UK policies had ‘opened the door to terrorism’.

    He added: ‘Allowing women to exclude themselves from society by wearing the full Islamic veil makes radicals extremely comfortable, and Britain should realise this.’

    Mr Myard made his outspoken comments to British journalists in Qatar, where he was defending his country’s recent banning of the veil at the prestigious Qatar Foundation Doha Debates, which will be broadcast by the BBC this weekend.

    His comments will inflame tensions between London and Paris five years after the 7/7 London bombings, which the French have regularly blamed on lax policing.

    Referring to the 2005 atrocity, which left 52 dead and hundreds injured, Mr Myard added: ‘Britain has suffered a number of high-profile failures in its fight against extremism in recent years.

    AMSTERDAM Oct 15 (Reuters) – Prosecutors asked a Dutch court on Friday to acquit anti-immigration lawmaker Geert Wilders on charges of inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims.

    Prosecutors, who had already called on the court to drop a charge that Wilders insulted Muslims by comparing Islam to Nazism, said his comments targeted Islam and not Muslims as a group.     Iranian Stoning Film To Be Shown In London

    A film portraying the real-life stoning of an Iranian woman is opening in London, but it’s a film the Iranian government does not want the world to see.

    Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani is sentenced to be stoned for adulteryThe film is dedicated to Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, facing execution in Iran.

    It depicts a brutal form of punishment still sanctioned by Iran’s current hard-line regime.

    The film’s director claims some European governments have been reluctant to support it – fearful of antagonising Iran’s regime, already at loggerheads with the west.

    The film The Stoning Of Soraya M is based on the true story of a woman brutally killed after being falsely accused of adultery.

    Soraya is stoned to death in her Iranian village under Islamic Sharia law.

    The film’s director, Cyrus Nowrasteh, has dedicated the screening to Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani currently facing execution by stoning or hanging in Iran for adultery.

    Amnesty International UK director Kate Allen said: “The final scenes of The Stoning Of Soraya M are quite horrific and many viewers might want to turn away. I’d urge them not to.

    “This is the cruel reality of execution by stoning; watch, be enraged, and take action to stop this inhumane practice.

    “The case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani has been taken up by people all over the world, who have protested and written letters to the Iranian authorities urging them to stop her execution by any method.

    “We have to keep this pressure up and make it clear to Iran’s leaders that killing Sakineh would cause a global outrage.

    “Stonings are thankfully rare in Iran but they represent the ugly tip of a very large iceberg.

    “At least 190 people have already been executed this year in Iran, mostly by hanging and after unfair trials.

    “Amnesty opposes the death penalty regardless of the method of execution.

    “We are calling on the Iranian authorities to stop this execution, stop the use of stoning altogether and stop criminalising the sex lives of consenting adults.”

    Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused the west of using the Ashtiani case to generate further opposition against it – at a time when Iran’s nuclear programme is drawing international condemnation and concern.

    The Stoning Of Soraya M serves as a painful reminder of the ruthlesslness of the Iranian government – past and present.

    We are being tricked into violating our own principles and buying halal meats.

    This is a big deal. Western civilization had to spend centuries developing technology as well as social awareness to get to the level where we have strict laws for the humane treatment of farm animals.
    If an exception is to be made for religious groups, and I most earnestly believe there should not be, then at least the products should be labelled so that those buying it are aware that the meat they are looking has been slaughtered in a way of enormous cruelty to the animal, and had some, Islamic-conduit-to-the-imaginary chanting Arabic over it at the time.

    The right to know what you are buying is basic. Triply so with food. Ask where you shop if the meat is halal, and refuse it if it is. We cannot allow this shyster like Pascal’s wager to be played on us, where producers figure that if all meat is Halal then they do not lose any of their market share. They have to know that the cost of Islamification of the west, as well as abandoning all civilized rules for agriculture and animal husbandry, is the loss of the business of we poor kuffar.

Millar rightly calls our attention to the increasingly urgent case of Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, a brave Austrian who faces the possibility of three years in prison in  Austria for delivering a lecture on the Islamic threat to liberty — a factual, sourced lecture on the Islamic threat to liberty.

    The headline asks the question: “Lawfare in Austria: Is Truth Illegal?” With Geert Wilders currently standing (kangaroo) trial in the Netherlands for similar “crimes” — in essence, devising a political program to respond to a factual, sourced understanding of the Islamic threat to liberty –  the question answers itself. The dhimmi-powers that be in the West desperately want to outlaw such facts about Islam, in the process rendering truth too dangerous to touch, speak, think about, comprehend and master. Will they succeed? Not if Elisabeth and Geert  and their growing numbers of supporters can help it.
