One morning recently, a young Muslim woman whose face was hidden by a religious covering was pulled out of her government French class near Montreal and told to unveil or leave the course.

“Aisha,” a 25-year-old permanent resident from India, is the second such case to come to light in Quebec. Last month, the same ultimatum was given to Naema Ahmed, an Egyptian-born woman whose case sparked an uproar and led to landmark provincial legislation against religious face veils. This reminds me of a plug-and-play joke from grade school about astronomers from group X. (As a Canadian, the joke was typically about French people back then) where they had decided to send a team to the sun. They avoid the obvious problems of burning alive, by sending the team to go at night.

The amount of corruption, theft, bad policy and damage to civilization caused by crypto-environmentalism however, is not so funny.

SPAIN: FRAUD UNCOVERED, SOLAR PLANTS WORKING AT NIGHT
(ANSAmed) – MADRD, APRIL 12 – ‘The Ministry for Industry uncovers a serious fraud on solar energy’ , El Mundo reveals today with the newspaper’s main feature story, quoting government data on photovoltaic energy production, according to which several solar plants were actually working at night. It is suspected the solar panels are plugged into power generators or electricity-producing apparel at night, to simulate production and obtain the public grants allowed for the photovoltaic sector. According to the newspaper’s sources, solar plants in Castilla y Leon, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia and the Canary Islands are supposedly producing energy at night-time, without the sun. Between November and January in particular, more than 4,500 megawatt per hour would have been produced at night, and the amount of State-granted frauded funds would be about 2,6 million euros. Until last year’s November the energy production in Spanish photovoltaic plants didn’t undergo today’s severe controls, which are regulated by the National Energy Commission (CNE, where all data from authonomous communities and energy distribution companies are processed.) The responsible Minister, Miguel Sebastian, pushed CNE to further inspections and open an inquiry to investigate “fraudulent practices.” (ANSAmed).

As Bat Ye’or showed in Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis and I elaborated in my own book Defeating Eurabia, Eurabia was born when Western European leaders abandoned their pro-Israeli stance due to Arab threats in the 1970s. This should serve as a reminder of how closely the fate of Europe is tied to that of Israel. Three years ago I wrote the essay Why Europeans Should Support Israel. As I stated there, “Bat Ye’or’s predictions about Arab anti-Semitism spreading in Europe as the continent’s Islamization and descent into Eurabia continues have so far proved depressingly accurate. This trend needs to be fought, vigorously, by all serious European anti-Jihadists. Not only because it is immoral and unfair to Israelis, which it is, but also because those who assist it are depriving Europeans of the opportunity to fully grasp the threat and understand the nature of the Jihad that is now targeting much of Europe as well.”

I remember one Holocaust survivor who was asked what he had learned from the Second World War. He replied that “When somebody says he wants to kill you, you should believe him.” Jews have learned this lesson the hard way, which is why they will fight, as they should, when people such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of the Islamic Republic of Iran brag about how they want to wipe out Jews in a “final victory.” The rest of us should fight, too.

The incessant demonization of Israel in the mass media prevents us from realizing that what we are dealing with is a global campaign of bloody conquest. Those of us who read the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) or websites such as Jihad Watch know that Islamic leaders and preachers regularly and openly brag about how they are planning to conquer our lands, defile our women and wipe out our civilization. When people say that they want to kill you and wipe out your culture you should take them seriously. They mean exactly what they say; it’s not a code word for “I feel so humiliated by Western support for Israel.”

And it’s not about “human rights,” either. The “human rights” of Muslims, especially those of Muslim women, are violated every single day in Muslim majority countries, not to mention those of the religious minorities who are unfortunate enough to live there. From an Islamic point of view, human rights are the invention of Western Crusaders. Groups such as Palestinian Hamas only talk about “human rights” to deceive a Western audience. What they really mean is “We hate you, infidel scum, and your worthless culture. Our brave Jihadists will slaughter you and crush you like bugs while we defile your women and keep your children as slaves.” Of course, if asked by the BBC, the CNN or The New York Times they will state their concern for “human rights” and “Islamophobia.” It sounds much better on TV.

Fascist gains in Hungary

Here is a stratfor analysis on todays election in Hungary. For those who do not already have it. Stratfor is a geopolitical think tank that while it may not call it all right, has a very interesting and worthwhile perspective on world events, well worth the investment. I think of it as a kind of filter. Before I decide on how things are, I try and at least run my perceptions through Stratfor’s method of thinking and certainly information on it. In any case, here is their analysis on Hungarian elections of April 11 2010

The first round of Hungarian parliamentary elections held on April 11 has most likely ushered in a large victory for the right-wing Fidesz party. According to early exit polls, Fidesz has garnered as much as 57 percent of the vote, with the governing Socialist party trailing far behind with 19-20 percent. The win will most likely give Fidesz a two-thirds majority in the parliament, allowing it to deal with the ongoing economic crisis by enacting structural reforms. Most notable, however, the far-right nationalist Jobbik party received 15-17 percent of the vote. This will give Jobbik — whose electoral platform is openly anti-Semitic and anti-Roma — a sizable presence in the parliament. Jobbik and Fidesz will likely further boost their total representation on April 25, when districts where no candidate obtained a majority on April 11 will hold runoff elections. Jobbik’s rise to electoral success is a notable phenomenon that indicates the appeal of far-right nationalist parties, especially during times of economic recession, and may signify a trend — especially in Central and Eastern Europe. As many Central and Eastern Europe countries are already members of the European Union, they no longer have to be concerned about the possible negative consequences for EU accession that the presence of parties like Jobbik in national parliaments could have posed. These countries also have fewer taboos about electing far-right nationalist parties than countries in Western Europe, since a large segment of politicians and intellectuals who fought against Communist rule used nationalism as a rallying cry to install democracy in the early 1990s.

Three Muslim extremists charged after attack on Galloway

George Galloway was set upon by a group of Muslim extremists while campaigning in East London this afternoon. Three men, believed to belong to the extreme sect Islam4UK, the latest name for Al-Muhajiroun, were arrested and subsequently charged with public order offences.

Galloway, who is standing in the Poplar and Limehouse constituency, was with a party of supporters in Watney Market around 3pm when he and his colleagues were first abused and then attacked by the group.

“They called me a filthy Kaffir” said Galloway, “and shouted that no one should shake the ‘filthy Kaffir’s hand’. This lot are the latest incarnation of the banned group Al-Muhajiroun. They don’t want Muslims to vote, they don’t believe in democracy, and because I encourage Muslims to vote and take a full part in our society they hate me. My party, Respect, is the antidote to these despicable extremists.”

Galloway’s assistant Kevin Ovenden had his phone smashed in the incident and other supporters were abused and jostled.

Galloway was also attacked, held hostage and received death threats from Al-Muhajiroun, then called Al-Gourabaa, in the 2005 General Election.

DR.MANFRED GERSTENFELD’S PREDICTION ABOUT MALMÖ AND OSLO COMES TRUE SOONER THAN EXPECTED

Dr.Manfred Gerstenfeld, Chairman of the Board of Fellows at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, while speaking during a press conference in Oslo (24.03.2010) for his recently released book “Anti-Semitism in Norway”, made the following prolific near-perfect prediction:

Here is an article from the Swiss daily NZZ (Neue Zurcher Zeitung), which is considered one of the leading media in the German language. Hitler was regarded as a “good sport,” the West as a Jewish protectorate. Lessons on the Holocaust would be greeted with derision. TV shows have a bad influence from the Middle East, which can be received via satellite. The station showed scenes of Palestinian children of primary school age, who agreed to kill Jews, if Allah wishes. The Israeli policy has little sympathy in Norway, as once considered as a peacemaker. Recently, even some bishops of the Established Church considered a call for a boycott of Israeli goods. In Norway, there lives 1300 Jews and 150 000 Muslims.

Female staff who follow the Islamic faith will be allowed to cover their arms to preserve their modesty despite earlier guidance that all staff should be “bare below the elbow”.

The Department of Health has also relaxed rules prohibiting jewellery so that Sikh members of staff can wear bangles linked with their faith, providing they are pushed up the arm while the medic treats a patient.

The Mail on Sunday reported the change had been made after female Muslims objected to being required to expose their arm below the elbow under guidance introduced by Alan Johnson when he was health secretary in 2007. Continue Reading →

Muslim Aid: the Hamas connection

A CHARITY praised last week by Gordon Brown and the Prince of Wales has channelled hundreds of thousands of pounds to groups linked to Hamas, the banned terrorist organisation, according to security sources.The Prime Minister and the heir to the throne personally praised Muslim Aid, whose own accounts show it has paid at least £325,000 to the Islamic University of Gaza, where leading Hamas figures teach, and £13,998 to the al-Ihsan Charitable Society, designated by the US government as a “sponsor of terrorism” and a front for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group.

Security sources also claim that Muslim Aid has helped channel a further £210,600 to six other organisations in the Gaza Strip since July 2009, all of which they say are linked to Hamas.

Muslim Aid is banned from the West Bank by the Israeli government, which says it is a member of the Union of Good, an alliance of charities that raise money for Hamas. Hamas is banned throughout the EU as a designated terrorist organisation.

In a video address to Muslim Aid’s 25th anniversary dinner on Wednesday, Mr Brown praised the charity’s “valuable work” and said: “I wish Muslim Aid and its passionate and committed staff and supporters the very best for another 25 years of achievement.” […]

The Prince sent a message saying that “our country is incredibly fortunate to be able to count on organisations like Muslim Aid, who bring not only help, but hope to those most in need”.

Muslim Aid, based at the hardline East London Mosque, has close links to the Islamic Forum of Europe (IFE), a fundamentalist Muslim group based in the same offices.

Muslim Aid raised more than £24 million last year and has been given at least £830,000 of public money. It claims to serve humanity “regardless of political affiliation” and only supports lawful organisations.

However, one foreign security source said: “We are opening our eyes on them. In the past they were supporting the outer rim of Hamas societies in Gaza. Now they are supporting the core.”…

The Loony Left in its mission to create a better, more thoughtful world continues to cast aside what they consider the useless notions of public consultation, debate and majority consent in favour of their gentler, wiser, dictatorial approach. Initially we at vladtepesblog were reluctant to post these stories, as we felt they may provide more data for the social engineers of our cities to expand their role of government interference in our personal choices and anything else enjoyable. Quickly concluding they will rail on regardless, we got over it. Enjoy.

#1 From Finland. (Telegraph)  Finnish Postal Service to Open Mail, Send Scanned e-Mail Copies. In a bid to both reduce CO2 emissions and the present number of postmen, Finland will begin opening household mail. Intimate love letters, payslips, overdue bills and personal messages will not be spared under the new voluntary, controversial scheme. Itella, the state owned company which runs the Nordic country’s postal system insists the highly automated process of converting letters to electronic documents will be conducted under ‘special secured premises’ where staff are bound by strict confidentiality conditions. Director at Itella Tommi Tikka, likens the move to web banking. But others vehemently disagree, comparing the initiative to what the KGB did in it’s time in the Soviet Union and the Stasi in East Germany. But Finns who long for the tactile touch and scent of real stationary need not worry; once their mail has been opened and scanned, it will be returned to it’s envelope(s) and delivered in normal fashion with the postman delivering only twice per week.

#2 From The U.K. (Telegraph) Teachers Ordered To Smile at Students. Teachers at Buile Hill Visual Arts College in Salford received a memo from a senior staff teacher telling them to begin each school day with a smile and to avoid making students ‘bored’ by setting words that are either too hard or too easy. The demand is part and parcel of a broader government initiative listing pupil entitlements and issues arising from “student voice discussions” giving children more power in respect of their schooling. iPhones have been issued to some students at a secondary school in Kent enabling them to instantly report on teachers. In one instance, a candidate for a teaching position was asked during an interview by a student panel to sing Michael Jackson’s Bad and after refusing to do so, was not offered the job. The most recent episode involved a head teacher who was forced out of her new role after a Facebook campaign by pupils angry at her appointment. Teachers are now being told, “Don’t be surprised if you are asked to explain your actions if you are found in violation of the agreed expectations”.

#3 From Canada. (CBC News)  Smoking Ban Floats at Vancouver’s Beaches, Parks. Keeping in line with Canada’s compulsion for bans, the Vancouver Park Board is considering outlawing smoking at beaches, parks and playgrounds. Smoking is already banned in all public buildings, bus shelters and near open windows and entrances in British Columbia. In an online survey conducted last year, over 600 people responded with 90% in favor of some type of smoking restriction in parks and on beaches. Park Board commissioner Raj Hundal said a total ban is one option up for discussion at a board meeting to be held April 19. He added ” I think the public is demanding we look at the issue. Whether it will be an outright ban or a modified version of the (existing) ban, we owe it to the public to examine the issue and make a decision from there”. Neighboring North Vancouver, White Rock and West Vancouver already have smoking restrictions at beaches and parks.

#4 From Denmark. (Reuters)  Solidarity Strike for Suds at Carlsberg. Warehouse and driver staff at the Danish brewery Carlsberg halted work for a second day Thursday protesting a company decision which would limit beer drinking to lunch breaks. In response to the introduction of new rules for employees on beer drinking at work and seeing refrigerators emptied of pints, over 800 workers walked off the job in protest with other staff striking in sympathy. Drivers retain an old right to 3 beers per day outside lunch hours and warehouse workers claimed the same right. Jens Bekke, spokesman at the world no.4 brewer said there would be no shipments from Copenhagen with delays in the rest of the country. The financial effect of the strike is set to be minor.

From The U.K. (Telegraph)  BNP Teachers Should Be Banned. Activists from the National Union of Teachers (NUT) has said that members of the British National Party should be banned from the classroom. A  motion to the conference called for ‘united action’ against the BNP and other groups such as the English Defence League with an amendment to the resolution demanding an all-out ban.

The comment follows the publication of a government review which said there was no justification for banning teachers from joining extremist organizations. BNP members are already banned from working as prison officers and activists insist the same ban be applied to the education service. Jean Roberts a delegate from Hammersmith and Fulham, west London said that although she opposes BNP’s views and that any teacher who promotes racist views should be barred from the classroom, she doesn’t agree that the state should bar teachers from joining any presently legal political party. “ To remove such a basic civil right, the right of association, something trade unionists hold precious, is in my view a grossly disproportionate response” she said.

Responding, BNP communications officer Paul Golding said “ It’s a dangerous road to go down, once you start banning political beliefs. Isn’t that the sort of thing always lambasted by democratic politicians, banning people based on (their) political beliefs?”.

Muslim woman strangled by her burkha in freak go-kart accident

This is for the ‘damned if you do, damned if you don’t file. We can safely assume that had the operator of the go-cart business had refused service to her, he would be sued for religious discrimination, lost, and probably lost his livelihood as we saw with the British Hoteliers. We also can safely guess that had he told her to remove her Muslim head-gear, the same thing would have happened as we saw with the Muslims who worked for UPS in Toronto and won a generous settlement it would appear from the smug looks on their faces. Now we just have to wait and see if they will be sued for allowing the Muslim to ride the go-cart and strangle herself with her scarf.

I guess Ann Coulter was right after all. They should have to take a camel.

A young Muslim woman had died after her burkha became snagged in a go-kart.

The 24-year-old woman, who has not yet been named, died a terrifying death today when a fluttering part of her burkha became caught in the wheels of a go-kart she was driving near the town of  Port Stephens, north of Sydney.

The Muslim clothing the woman was wearing flew back as she sped around the track and part of it became entangled in the go-kart’s wheels.

She was strangled in a second and crashed the vehicle.

Despite the efforts of paramedics who rushed to her aid, the neck and throat injuries she suffered were so severe that doctors were unable to revive her when she arrived at the John Hunter Hospital in the New South Wales city of Newcastle.

The young woman was riding the go-kart at a popular recreational area known as Bob’s Farm, which offers rides of up to 15 minutes at a time.

Her death is being likened to that of American dancer Isadora Duncan,  acknowledged as being the creator of modern dance, and who was famous for the flowing silk carves she liked to wear.

But while riding in an open-top car in Nice in 1927, her scarf became  entangled in one of the vehicle’s spoked wheels and she was strangled.
