Man jailed 12 years for brutal stabbing over iPod

Tire iron plunged into victim’s chest in savage attack

By Andrew Seymour, The Ottawa Citizen June 3, 2010

OTTAWA-For weeks, Hassan Al-Khazaali had relentlessly pursued Safeolah Fizeeli for his missing iPod.

The 17-year-old had left it in the back seat of Fizeeli’s car, or so he believed, and he wanted it back.

In an argument at the Coliseum movie theatre, Al-Khazaali said he’d take $80 in exchange for the device. Later, Al-Khazaali and a group of his friends met 19-year-old Fizeeli and his friends in the parking lot of a shopping plaza and demanded the iPod or the cash.

But Fizeeli didn’t know where the music player was, and wasn’t going to pay.

So, on an April night in 2007, Fizeeli was chased by Al-Khazaali and his friends from the yard of an elementary school as part of an escalating feud that a judge would eventually say was like a running battle between two packs of animals. Continue Reading →

Steve Madeley interviews a Canadian anti-free-speech Muslim group

What is rather interesting, is that this spokesman appeared on the Madeley show on CFRA Ottawa, to advocate for giving more powers to the Canadian Human Rights Commission in order to silence criticism of Islam as ‘Islamophobic’. However was fast on the draw to explain to Steve how “We are all entitled to our opinions”. Look Sameer, you cant have it both ways. Either you want the CHRC to control me, or only you are entitled to an opinion. My opinion is that Islam is fascist and the sooner rid of it the better.

Is that opinion OK with you and your commission friends?

Terry Glavin: You don’t end war by aiding terrorists

By Terry Glavin June 3, 2010 – 1:30 pm

No, I won’t. I’m not going to pretend that this has anything to do with “anti-war” activism, or that it’s about bringing relief to the suffering Palestinians. Not going to go along with it. This is about something else. I’ve tried to make some sense of it all today in The Mark.

There’s no lack of cause to slag off Israel for the blockade. Cutting off Gaza has meant a lot of suffering among ordinary people there. But neither is there a lack of evidence that the Foundation for Human Rights & Humanitarian Relief (IHH), the Turkish charity that partnered with the Cyprus-based Free Gaza Movement to launch the flotilla, has a history of shadowy ties with some of the world’s most bloodthirsty terrorists. The IHH is openly affiliated with Hamas, and is also part of an umbrella coalition headed by Muslim Brotherhood leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who says suicide bombing is wrong except when it targets Israelis, and even pregnant Israeli women are fair game.

You have to look hard to find these facts reported anywhere unless they are presented as merely claims that Israel is making, but you will spend a much longer time looking for any reports at all that reveal just what the flotilla’s other big sponsor, the Perdana Global Peace Organization, is all about.

The New York Times disclosed that Perdana helped the Free Gaza Movement buy two yachts and a cargo ship for the flotilla, but even the Times noticed only that Perdana “describes itself on its Web site as opposed to war.”

Perdana’s founder and guiding light is the deranged former Malaysian strongman Mahathir Mohamad, who was harping on about “hook-nosed” Jews as far back as 1970. Up to the days immediately before his retirement in 2003 he was still carrying on about how “the Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them.”

Only a few months ago, Mohamad proclaimed that European Jews “had to be confined to ghettoes and periodically massacred. But still they remained, they thrived and they held whole governments to ransom … Even after their massacre by the Nazis of Germany, they survived to continue to be a source of even greater problems for the world.”

That is what this “anti-war” activism is about, and no amount of histrionics, excuse-making, yes-buttery or cunning public-relations work can wash the blood from their hands. Hideously self-aggrandizing revisionism cannot cover up what this spectacularly narcissistic act of moral exhibitionism was intended to conceal from the start. “This mission is not about delivering humanitarian supplies.” That’s not me talking. It’s what flotilla organizer Greta Berlin said, before the bloodbath. This is not charity. This is politics.

This is about the continuing isolation and demonization of Israel, undermining the Palestinian Authority, and strengthening Hamas – which now enjoys the support of only 16 per cent of the people of Gaza, its stronghold.

The dead are dead. Some of them got exactly what they wanted out of this – glorious death. From the Palestinian Authority daily newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida: Three of the four Turks killed in the Israeli attack on the ‘Freedom Flotilla’ bound for the Gaza Strip wanted to die as Martyrs, said their relatives and friends.

While the flotillistas pat themselves on the back, the true friends of the Palestinian cause for freedom carry on, alone. Like One Voice. Like Combatants for Peace. Like Trade Unions Linking Israel and Palestine:

We are very much aware of the ongoing suffering of the inhabitants of Gaza. We are also aware that the inhabitants of Gaza are held hostage by the terror regime of Hamas which violently took over the Gaza Strip in 2007 and uninhibited, has exerted any means to harm peace, human rights and workers supporters (including PGFTU leaders and representatives who were forced to flee to the West Bank in order to save their lives and the lives of their families) and persecute them in a brutal manner. This terror organization, whose main objective is the extinction of the Israeli State, has harmed Israeli innocent civilians and workers by firing missiles in the past ten years which intensified after the withdrawal of Israel from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

The Histadrut, whose value of solidarity is its top priority, supports the humanitarian assistance for the residents of Gaza, coordinates the access for different Confederations and unions to Gaza and ensures the success of their activity through coordination with the Israeli security forces.

This activity of the Histadrut proves that it is possible to offer humanitarian assistance to the residents of Gaza via peaceful means whose positive results yield assistance and aid that are meaningful.

The conduct of the flotilla’s organizers and their methods of action utterly contradict the cooperation and the responsibility to achieve the goal we all aspire to attain — effective humanitarian assistance for the residents of Gaza. . .

Catholic bishop reportedly stabbed in Turkey

From The Examiner. H/T Fjordman

ANKARA, Turkey (Map, News) – A Roman Catholic bishop has been stabbed to death in southern Turkey, the state-run news agency reported.

Luigi Padovese, the pope’s apostolic vicar in Anatolia, was attacked in his home in the Mediterranean port of Iskenderun, the Anatolia news agency reported. There was no immediate confirmation from the Vatican.

Private NTV television quoted police as saying the priest’s driver is suspected in the killing, but it did not say if the driver had been arrested. The station said the priest died in a hospital.

The killing is the latest in a string of attacks in recent years on Christians in Turkey, where Christians make up less than 1 percent of the 70 million population.

Hooker ‘jihad’ launched by imam in Spain

I guess this guy feels perfectly within his rights to harass and intimidate these women considering that Islamists insist upon referring to Spain as, Muslim Spain.

From The Telegraph U.K.

Imam accused of launching ‘jihad’ against prostitutes in Spain

An imam who has launched a “jihad” on prostitutes, encouraging women to harass the women in a city in southern Spain, is facing a restraining order to prevent him from harassing them.

Street walkers in Cartagena, on Spain’s southern Mediterranean coast, have complained that the imam of a local mosque has launched a campaign of intimidation to get them off the streets.

Yazid Koudri, president of the Islamic community of Cartagena and the imam of the Ennour mosque, has been accused of sending a team of “Muslim guards” onto the streets to prevent the women from working.

Police confirm that they have received several complaints from prostitutes working in the streets around the mosque, including one woman who claimed the imam had tried to run her over in his car.

Others said the imam sent a team of his faithful onto the streets encouraging them to “insult the sex workers” and “threaten violence”.

Mr Koudri has openly lobbied authorities to crack down on the red light district, which has emerged on several streets around the mosque in what local newspapers have termed a “jihad against prostitution”.

Last month, he presented a petition to the city hall, calling for more policing of the area. The letter had more than 200 signatures, believed to be collected from among the 300 people who regularly worship at the mosque.

“We are not against what these women do,” Mr Koudri stated. “But ask that they don’t do it in the streets where our children walk.”

Members of the mosque have reportedly been placed at the entrance to streets favoured by prostitutes to prevent any Muslim passing through, an act which the women complain has led to a drop in clients.

The local prosecutor has applied for a restraining order to prevent the Imam going within 200 yards of the sex workers.

Prostitution is legal in Spain, although living off earnings derived from prostituting other people is not.

Protest against Burqa in Belgium

From Vlaams Belang

(25.05.2010) In 2003, Vlaams Belang was the first party to introduce a law proposition regarding the ban on the burqa and other face covering garments. In April of this year, the ban was finally voted in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives.

Last Saturday, the Muslim organization “Muslim Rise” would have normally held a demonstration in Brussels against the burqa ban. However, they did not get the authorization for their protest march and instead organized a press conference in the presence of Anjem Choudary, the leader of ‘Islam4UK’, a fundamentalist group that is banned in the United Kingdom. “The burqa ban will lead to violence”, Choudary said, adding that “the flag of Islam has to fly everywhere in Europe”.

Vlaams Belang reacted to this provocation by holding a symbolic protest. About fifty female militants of our party protested against the Islamic oppression of women. Several women wore a burqa, which they symbolically threw in the garbage bin. The message is clear: Islam can damage your freedom.

Where is the ‘flotilla’ for the real starving?

A regular reader and commenter on Vlad, was kind enough to send us two pictures. If one tells a thousand words, then two tells a million. The first one, you may have seen a few posts back:

Here, the fat hits the fire.

If you look at #8 for men, and #3 for women, you may suspect that the frequently made claims that Israel is starving the Palestinians is not in accordance with the facts.

Below, a food market in Gaza:

However, there is a group on Earth that is being deliberately starved and right to death in large numbers. They are being taken as sexual and hard labour slaves. They are being treated as badly as any group on earth has been treated shy of with modern deliberate mass methods of torture and extermination. But historically, this typically is as bad is it can get just shy of genocide and frankly, one might make the case that this is genocide.

Indeed, the lies about Israel and its alleged treatment of its neighbours, when the reverse is more the case. That Muslims who sell property to Jews in Judea and Sumeria are often killed, sometimes by their own families, while Muslim Arabs live as full Israeli citizens with greater rights in some ways than the Jewish population. I believe that an Arab Muslim has the right not to serve in the Israeli military for example, while non-orthodox-Jews do not.

Meanwhile….

The UK and Islamist Terror: Conservatives Putting the Nation at Risk?

By A. Millar, The Brussels Journal

Nearly a month into Britain’s new coalition government and perhaps the defining image of Prime Minister David Cameron shows him strolling casually along Westminster, without security, mingling with the crowd. At other times he has eschewed his motorcade, and sent away his police motorbike escort. We – and perhaps more especially those who despise Britain – are supposed to believe that he is a man of the people. He is like us, and we are like him. In the cold light of day, however, Cameron’s actions reveal only that he is disconnected from reality:

Lest we forget, Cameron is the leader of a wartime nation – a nation fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, and facing terrorism at home.

Islamist terrorists have often stepped up their activity during the first twelve months of a new government, and there has already been some activity since the May 6 election. In what is now being treated as a terrorist attack, the Labour MP for East Ham, Stephen Timms, was stabbed by a Muslim woman, who had been “radicalized.” Since then, the names of four other MPs have been discovered on a terrorist hit list, and security for all MPs has been put under review.
