Giant victory for freedom: U-turn on smoking ban as Holland ALLOWS lighting up in 2000 bars and pubs
I have been fighting these bans for years as totalitarian, which is exactly what they are. These are the state destroying the notuon of private property so that they can implement any rules they want, anywhere they want to create whatever the utopia-du-jour is, and we all know how well those work out.
At last, Holland, a nation I truly begin to believe has a more solid grip on the notion of individual rights and freedoms than perhaps even the United States at this time, is reversing the anti-freedom smoking bans we have seen sweeping the Western world. Except of course if its a Muslim owned bar or restaurant. Then somehow, it is interfering with their cultural right to smoke if we ban it in their establishments.

Smokers in the Netherlands will now be able to light-up again in over 2000 of the country’s small owner-operated bars or pubs.
The partial over-turning of the blanket ban, which was introduced in 2008, is a huge victory for for smokers’ rights campaigners who had argued that the blanket ban was driving small bar owners out of business.
An incoming coalition government in the country has allowed the partial lifting of the ban for pubs which are less than 743.5 sq ft in size and which are staffed solely by the owner.

A gang of Asian ‘sexual predators’ were jailed yesterday for abusing white girls as young as 12.
The five men preyed on their victims over several months and threatened them with violence if they refused their advances.
One of the men branded his victim a ‘white bitch’ when she resisted, while a second smirked: ‘I’ve used you and abused you.’
Mohsin Khan, 21, left (jailed for four years) and Razwan Razaq, 30 (jailed for 11 years) were convicted of a string of sexually related offences against girls as young as 12
Umar Razaq, 24, left (jailed for four and a half years) and Zafran Ramzan, 21 (jailed for nine years), prowled the streets looking for girls, attacking them in parks and in the back of their cars
Adil Hussain, 20, was jailed for four and a half years
The men, all British-born Pakistanis, attacked the four girls in play areas, parks and in the back of their cars, Sheffield Crown Court heard.
They gave them gifts and introduced them to their friends. The girls were abused so frequently that after many months it ‘became a way of life’.
The girls, who were being monitored by social services, were eventually rescued by police and removed from their homes amid growing concerns for their safety.
Two of the men wept in the dock yesterday as they were jailed.
Judge Peter Kelson QC told them: ‘I’ve listened to the backdrop of some of you sobbing – I have to say your weeping cuts no ice with me at all.
‘You had what you regarded as your fun, now you will take your punishment.’
The five, Umar Razaq, 24, Razwan Razaq, 30, Zafran Ramzan, 21, Adil Hussain, 20, and Mohsin Khan, 21, were found guilty of a string of sexually related offences against the girls, one aged 12, two aged 13 and one aged 16.

CTV had the courage to actually do a bit, albeit a horribly watered down bit, on what women in Iranian prisons face, and in a way, sort of linked it to Islam when really, it should entirely be linked to Islam and the full extent of the horror imposed on women prisoners there based on the sharia and absurd notions of the afterlife and how women should be treated so that it will effect that post corporeal existence. In any case, kudos to CTV for even going this far in the totalitarian days we live in now as far as the media goes.

A statement by a man who claimed to have performed a roqia (Islamic exorcism) on the suspected judge ignited the controversy. The ‘exorcist’ told the Saudi newspaper Okaz that the judge was possessed by a jinni and was under his influence while taking bribes to cover up for illegal possession of land and real estate.
For legal advisor Saleh al-Khedr, being possessed by a jinni or an evil spirit does not absolve the culprit of blame.
“Human beings are responsible for their actions,” he told AlArabiya.net. “Claiming to be possessed is just an excuse to evade punishment.”
Khedr called upon judges not to include magic in the proceedings of the case even if the suspect insisted or the ‘exorcists’ testified that the suspect was possessed.

Report: Canadian abducted in Pakistan dies

WEST VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 4 (UPI) — A Canadian freelance journalist kidnapped in Pakistan has died, an Indian newspaper reported.
Khadija Abdul Qahaar, 58, of West Vancouver, British Columbia, “died following prolonged illness in the custody of the Taliban somewhere in northwest Pakistan or Afghanistan,” The Indian Express reported.
Her death was not independently confirmed and the newspaper did not name its source or sources for news of her death, nor did it indicate when she died.
Qahaar, known as Beverley Giesbrecht before converting from Catholicism to Islam, was frail when she and two Pakistani men were kidnapped in November 2008, The Vancouver Sun reported Thursday.

Gutless gay groups attack ally, encourage enemies.
Here is a story that actually typifies pretty much all leftist groups not just gays. The same sort of moral cowardice is seen in womens groups and pretty much all activist groups today. A gay group has decided to greet the pope with a kiss in, in order to show its contempt for the Catholic Church’s stance on homosexuality, although it does not ever act against gay men per se, and hell as I understand it, half or more of the Vatican itself is gay, meanwhile it does absolutely nothing about Islam or it’s leaders who advocate, and indeed bring about, the death of gay men.
Like womens groups, they seek to destroy natural bulwarks against Islam because it is safe to do so while avoiding and even defending Islam making criticism of it sacrosanct.
It also needs to be said:
The Catholic Church is a voluntary club. You do not have to be a member, and it does not impose its values outside of its membership. The Muslims will kill homosexuals whether they are Muslim or not.
Meanwhile, here is a photo taken by ‘Girl on the Right’ during a pro Hamas, anti Israel rally in Toronto a couple of years back. Another suicidal move by gay groups showing that have no real clue where their own interests lie.

The event, advertised on Facebook as a “Queer Kissing Flashmob” is to take place on Sunday (7 October) morning, in front of the Gothic cathedral in the city.

Several high-ranking Taliban leaders met in late October to discuss their conditions for ending the war in Afghanistan, an unnamed source close to the Taliban said, Afghan Islamic Press reported Nov. 4. The leaders agreed on seven articles that would be presented if the West asked for talks. The leaders said the United States should release all prisoners from Guantanamo; release Taliban detainees from Bagram, Pol-e Charkhi and other prisons; remove the names of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan leaders from a U.S. blacklist; announce the withdrawal of all U.S.-led foreign forces within two months; cease all military operations throughout the country; recognize the Islamic Movement of the Taliban as a political party; and replace the Afghan Constitution with Islamic law. The source said the leaders would be flexible once talks began and that they want to open a dialogue with Washington before the government in Kabul joins. He reiterated that the conditions were the unofficial Taliban position.

A judge was subjected to a tirade of abuse in his own courtroom yesterday as he jailed an Al Qaeda-inspired Muslim woman for attempting to assassinate an MP.
Islamist protesters harangued Mr Justice Cooke from the public gallery at the Old Bailey, shouting ‘Allahu akbar’ (‘God is great’), ‘British go to hell’ and ‘Curse the judge’.
The outbursts came as Roshonara Choudhry, 21, was sentenced to life imprisonment for stabbing former minister Stephen Timms. Choudhry smiled broadly as the judge told her: ‘You said you ruined the rest of your life. You said it was worth it. You said you wanted to be a martyr.’
Choudhry became radicalised after reading literature from radical Al Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki
Outside, a second group demonstrated as the judge told the high-flying student – who stabbed the politician twice in the stomach as ‘punishment’ for voting for the Iraq invasion – that she must serve at least 15 years behind bars.
The chaotic scenes unfolded as Home Secretary Theresa May dramatically revealed that the Al Qaeda gang behind last week’s ‘Lockerbie-style’ cargo plane bomb plot are already working in the UK.
In court the judge pointedly contrasted Mr Timms’ Christian beliefs with the ‘distorted thinking’ of his attacker, who refused to recognise the court and appeared by videolink for her sentencing.

Sixty parishioners who attended a memorial service for the departed (All Souls’ Day) on Tuesday afternoon in a church in a ghetto neighborhood of Carcassonne, were the victims of two teenagers who, after entering the building, started throwing stones. One person was hit, and the status of the Virgin Mary, targeted by the two, was badly damaged.
Two parishioners who left the service to evict the two youth, unsuccessfully pursued them. They disappeared after insulting their pursuers.
A complaint was lodged by the police, which is taking the case very seriously. The desecration of the Saint-Jacques church and the stoning of the parishioners during a public service, is a first in this ghetto and caused a big stir in the Christian community.
