Obama defends Victory mosque and as usual, totally misses the point

He also said today, that Islam has always been a part of America. In that he is correct. Jefferson started the Marines in order to stop Islamic piracy and constant jihad upon the seas. I suppose one might also say that is a contribution to US society in a way. In exactly the same way that Ebola motivated the creation perhaps, of some specific wonder antibiotics.

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Friday endorsed plans for a Muslim mosque two blocks from ground zero in New York City, declaring that “Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country.”

In remarks prepared for delivery at a White House dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Obama said all Americans have the right to worship as they choose.

“That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances, Obama said. “This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable.”

Obama emphasized the point as New York City is immersed in a deeply sensitive debate about whether a mosque should be built near the site of the World Trade Center’s twin towers.

It was the president’s first remarks about the mosque controversy. The White House previously called the matter solely a local one.

At the dinner attended by two Muslim-American congressmen, Obama acknowledged that hot-fire emotions the planned mosque and cultural center have stoked.

“Ground Zero is, indeed, hallowed ground,” the president said.

Iranian Baha’i sentanced to 20 years for “spreading Mischief”

One of the most serious charges in sharia law is the highly flexible, ‘spreading mischief upon the earth’ which of course means stopping Muslims from doing exactly that when and howsoever they like. As a consequence, 20 Baha’i leaders have been sentenced to twenty years in Iranian prisons. I wonder if that law is what Obama meant when he praised all the fantastic contributions Muslims have made to America today.

For those of you who have not met a Baha’i, they are, at least in my experience, the nicest bunch of people you would ever hope to meet. Naive as hell though about Islam, but terrifically nice people. This found via the important site, The Religion of Peace

WASHINGTON, DC – Seven Baha’i leaders who have been in prison for two years were sentenced to 20 years in prison by an Iranian court, according to Baha’i activists who spoke with the media.

The five Baha’i men and two women had been charged with several baseless and unsubstantiated crimes which carry the death penalty, including espionage, propaganda activities against the Islamic order, and spreading “corruption on earth.” Their attorneys are in the process of filing an appeal.

“This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice and one more example of how the Iranian regime is a gross violator of human rights and religious freedoms,” said Leonard Leo, U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) chair. “The prosecutions and sentences are, pure and simple, politically and religiously motivated acts, and the Commission calls for the unconditional release of these seven individuals.” Continue Reading →

FOUR key suspects who confessed to involvement in the bomb blasts were paraded before journalists yesterday.

Two of them, Edris Nsubuga and Haruna Hassan Luyima, cried over the pain their actions caused. Issa Luyima and Haruna Hassan Luyima are brothers, while Nsubuga is their friend. The fourth suspect was identified as Mohamood Mugisha.

“I am very sorry for the loss of life. I was hesitant to pick on Ugandans. My target was the Americans, who I think are responsible for the suffering in the world. I am very sorry to the people, who knew me,” Issa Luyima, described as the mastermind of the blasts, said without emotion. Continue Reading →

Toronto Police are helping their Windsor colleagues search for a murder suspect by plastering a reward poster in the Eglinton Avenue West and Weston Road area.

Windsor Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for  Hagi on a charge of first-degree murder.

The 27-year-old is being sought in connection with the Dec. 22, 2007 death of Luis Acosta-Escobar, who was found dead of gunshot wounds near a Windsor nightclub.

Det. Wayne Parsons of the Windsor Police’s major crimes branch told CTV News on Wednesday that they know Hagi took a cab to Toronto in the hours after Escobar’s death.

“He was anxious to get out of town,” Parsons said.

They know Hagi had approached people on the street, including an off-duty firefighter, and offered them a large amount of cash to be driven to Toronto, he said. Continue Reading →

Muslims and Westerners: The Psychological Differences

An excellent piece from the New English Review

by Nicolai Sennels (May 2010)

Introduction by Nancy Kobrin, author of The Banality of Suicide Terrorism: The Naked Truth About the Psychology of Islamic Suicide Bombing[1]

When I first read about Nicolai Sennels’ work concerning therapy, which he had conducted with criminal Muslims in Denmark, I knew that it would be groundbreaking. I hope that you the reader will listen closely to what he has to say.
I also had the opportunity to conduct prison interviews of Muslim detainees, which were not interrogations. Minneapolis has the largest diaspora of Somali Muslims outside of Mogadishu, and there was an overload in the county jail. I was trying to decide if I wanted to draw up a research project. Pressured for time and with too many other responsibilities plus receiving a death threat during one of the interviews, I decided against it.
Like Sennels, I came away with a similar sense that Western law enforcement and the general public did not understand why there was so much crime in the Muslim population. And why there has been this problem of jail house converts to Islam who then become radicalized through contact with other criminal Muslims during incarceration.
Islam is the perfect religion to give justification for those who feel under attack and to maintain the eternal “victim” fantasy. Islam is also “higher” than Christianity because it comes last in co-opting the revelations of Sinai and the New Testament. What a perfect receptacle for projecting hatred. Islam incites, encourages and permits hatred of the Jew and Jihad. It’s perfect for a fragile personality that has the need to hate and the need to have an enemy. There are billions of people out there who share those sentiments and that profile. As an underdog religion, Islam provides great mass appeal, which even Eric Hoffer, the author of the True Believer, noted in 1951. It should come as no surprise that its numbers are growing. If one has a grievance, Islam will take care of it.
Sennels adeptly outlines the key problems of why Muslims are not able to integrate into Western culture. What he doesn’t say, I shall name. We are dealing with nothing more than paranoia. Sennels stresses that the West must set boundaries because otherwise they will kill you. This kind of rage is malignant borderline behavior as in serial killing. We must come to understand such politically incorrect observations as Sennels does in order to connect the dots concerning criminal Muslims even though it is brutal.

Happy well-adjusted children do not become suicide bombers nor do they become criminals. Let us choose to know what we are dealing with rather than bury our heads in sand out of terror. Let us meet the challenge straight on as Sennels has. If the Swedes had intellectual fortitude, Nicolai Sennels, the Dane, should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for standing up and proclaiming that the “Emperor Has No Clothes.” But then again, that is a Danish tale and the Swedes are left with Ingmar Bergman’s drama. Need I say more?

Background
February 27th 2008. On a cold and windy Wednesday (for cyclists like myself), I took a deep breath, grabbed the microphone and did something that changed my life. In front of the Copenhagen Mayor’s Integration and Social Services Office there were gathered several journalists, a faithful Muslim musician from the famous MTV-band ‘Outlandish,’ dozens of Imams and Muslim spokesmen and a couple of hundred social workers with Muslim and Danish backgrounds. I began to say what everybody already knew, but, what nobody either wanted or dared to say: that those who are referred to as foreign criminals, religious extremists, or terrorists in the making and who are the cause of lawless parallel societies (what the conference “Diversity and Safety in the City” was about) are all Muslim. I argued that we should stop talking about “criminal foreigners” and start using the more precise term, “criminal Muslims.” As a psychologist, having had more than a hundred Muslim clients, I told them that politicians and professional social workers need to understand the cultural and religious backgrounds of criminal foreigners. That is, if we want to come up with, at least, somewhat effective and targeted plans on how to reduce the social unrest, anti-democratic religious movements, the violent and anti-social forces among foreigners.
I was met with strong criticism from all sides and no support at all!

Just as most soldiers in the front lines die in the first attack, many of those who attacked political correctness have experienced negative professional or social consequences. I was no exception. The Mayor of Social Services was clear.  I should either refrain from using stigmatizing expressions or find myself another job. Actually I was trying to stop the so-called stigmatization of all the non-Muslim immigrants by focusing on the one group that creates all the problems. But you can’t fight City Hall. Our biggest national newspapers and radio news programs got hold of the story and the mayor was strongly criticized by the media experts on free speech and by the Danish blog-sphere. For about a month there was not a day when my name was not in one or more newspapers and the fighters for free speech took another round. I was no longer an anonymous psychologist. My name was known by everybody who read newspapers in Denmark and especially Islam-critical blogs on the internet put me in the spotlight.

Muslims take credit for Aug 9 Moscow blast

from STRATFOR:

August 12, 2010
Causasus rebels from the Riyadus Salikhiyn Brigade of Martyrs claimed responsibility for the Aug. 9 blast outside the Gazprom central office in Moscow, Kavkaz-Tsentr news agency reported on Aug. 12. Rebels stated that the emir of Muslims of the Caucasus Dokka Abu Umarov gave the orders to show Russia’s leadership and largest business that the war is not over. It comes to homes and offices, the statement read, declaring central Russia as a “zone of counter terrorist operation.” The rebels said they plan to attack Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Victory Mosque declines generous offer to move it farther from GZ

In case anyone on planet earth does not think this is a provocation, its worth noting that this area is pretty much strictly a business area, and very few people actually live there. So there is not a lot of bars or churches and so on in the area. There has already been an admission that it has to draw its people from outside the area so this facility, should it be built, is not serving any actual need by any community at all.

Just thought I would point that out. Thanks Sherri for sending me this link from FOX

Offer Rejected to Move Mosque Away From Ground Zero to ‘State Property’

Gov. David Paterson has offered state help if the developers of a proposed mosque near ground zero agree to move the project farther away from the site of the Sept. 11 attack (AP).

The developers of the so-called Ground Zero mosque rejected New York Gov. David Paterson’s offer to provide state property if the project is moved farther away from where the twin towers once stood.

In an effort to appease disputing parties, Paterson had said Tuesday that he would provide state help to the group sponsoring the Cordoba House if the developers opt to move it elsewhere.

“Frankly, if the sponsors were looking for property anywhere at a distance that would be such that it would accommodate a better feeling among the people who are frustrated, I would look into trying to provide them with the state property they would need,” Paterson said.

While Paterson has “no objection” to the mosque being built a few blocks away from Ground Zero, he said he’s “very sensitive to the desire of those who are adamant against it to see something else worked out.”

But Paterson said Wednesday that the developers told his office they weren’t interested in moving. Continue Reading →

Turkish soldiers on patrol in a Kurdish area of southeastern Turkey: Did the Turkish military use chemical weapons against the PKK?

German experts have confirmed the authenticity of photographs that purport to show PKK fighters killed by chemical weapons. The evidence puts increasing pressure on the Turkish government, which has long been suspected of using such weapons against Kurdish rebels. German politicians are demanding an investigation.

It would be difficult to exceed the horror shown in the photos, which feature burned, maimed and scorched body parts. The victims are scarcely even recognizable as human beings. Turkish-Kurdish human rights activists believe the people in the photos are eight members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) underground movement, who are thought to have been killed in September 2009.

In March, the activists gave the photos to a German human rights delegation comprised of Turkey experts, journalists and politicians from the far-left Left Party, as SPIEGEL reported at the end of July. Now Hans Baumann, a German expert on photo forgeries has confirmed the authenticity of the photos, and a forensics report released by the Hamburg University Hospital has backed the initial suspicion, saying that it is highly probable that the eight Kurds died “due to the use of chemical substances.”

Did the Turkish army in fact use chemical weapons and, by doing so, violate the Chemical Weapons Convention it had ratified?

‘Iran to give Hizbullah weapons’

Report: Turkey will also “send weapons, rockets, guns” to Lebanon.

Talkbacks (47)

Turkey and Iran are rumored to be helping Hizbullah obtain new weapons, Italian daily Corriere Della Sera reported on Wednesday evening.

Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan reportedly met with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Taeb to discuss relations between the two countries.

Sources told Corriere Della Sera that Turkey will “send sophisticated weapons, rockets and guns to Syria, that will end up in Lebanon,” where the Iranian Army will ensure the weapons are transferred to Hizbullah.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards “will facilitate the transition, ensure safety, watch loads on the routes, and provide support to the border,” the report said.

The Iranians reportedly want to build a weapons network similar to that in the Sudan, and hope to help Hamas, as well.

The Italian newspaper reported that Western intelligence sources “view the Turkish-Iranian plot with concern, as they are obvious risks to safety.”

“The [intelligence] services in Ankara are among the best in the region,” sources told Corriere Della Sera. “They have great knowledge of the Middle East, and know how to move on the routes of illegal trafficking.”

My idea for the Victory Mosque at Ground zero

I am pretty sure of two things.

1. The mosque is going to be built if Obama has to pay for it himself with your money.

2. The gay bar and all you can eat pork ribs hut will not be allowed to be next to it for exactly the opposite reasons that the mosque is going to be built.

So I have an idea.

We, that is all of us, can take up a collection, and have a billboard put up in front, on top, above or near enough to this 13 story monstrosity that its obviously conected, and have our own messages placed there. Even if we can’t get the proper permits, perhaps some kind of, ‘street art’ that seems perfectly acceptable when it is done by illegal gangs in cities today.

Below, are a few of my ideas for initial billboards. Please feel free to add your own ideas in the comments and Ill add them in to the list.

Kosovo: Serb monasteries ‘at risk’ as NATO exits

Belgrade, 6 Aug. (AKI) – Serbian government and police officials on Friday voiced concern over Kosovo police taking over the protection of medieval monasteries from NATO soldiers in Kosovo, which declared independence from Serbia two years ago.

Serbian monasteries in Kosovo, some of which are listed by UNESCO as world cultural heritage, have been under the protection NATO contingent (KFOR) since 2004, when many were burned or damaged by ethnic Albanian demonstrators. Continue Reading →
