Berlin Police Leadership: Pushing Diversity, Neglecting Ordinary Officers

The stream of allegations is not ending. It appears as if, while Diversity was pushed onto the Berlin Police (see also this interview with the Deputy Police Chief here), the issues of the ordinary officers, policemen and firemen alike, were not so high on the list of priorities.

Grievances in Berlin Police Academy
The Long List of Allegations Against the Deputy Chief of the Berlin Police
By Joseph Hausner
November 03, 2017

The Deputy Police President of Berlin, Margarete Koppers, has come under fire. An instructor lamented in a voice recording what allegedly are fatal circumstances at the capital’s police academy, and spoke of hatred, refusal to learn, and violence, in a class with many police students with migration background.
Shortly thereafter, Focus released excerpts from an anonymous letter of a Land Office Of Criminal Investigations Detective to the police president of Berlin, in which he accuses Koppers of being too close to criminal arab clans. „She is legally represented by a lawyer who also represents an Arab clan“, the letter said, among others.
The experienced detective from Berlin warns of a subversion of the Berlin police by the clans. „Applicants of these clans are accepted at the police – even when they have a criminal record. Allegedly, findings about this are withheld by this very same Deputy President (and future Attorney General).“

Police President Klaus Kandt denies such allegations, speaks of „unfounded, defamatory, possibly even indictable remarks“ against him and Koppers. But the current reports are not the only cases for which the Deputy Police President has come under critics.

1. Gun Range Affair: Dead and sick police officers, because Koppers did not act?
As the ventilation did not work in many gun ranges, it appears that Berlin’s police officers were exposed to poisonous gunpowder fumes and minerals for years. Koppers allegedly learnt already in late 2011 when she was the provisional police president that a report warned of acute health risks from contaminated breathing air, and recommended closing the gun ranges. But for the longest time, nothing happened.
In the meantime, many shooting instructors and police officers have become ill, suffer breathing and lung conditions. Some of them have developed cancer. Five have died, Radio Berlin Brandenburg reported in March. First charges are laid, some doctors see a connection. Some of the victims blame Koppers personally. The police took up investigations against unknown, for suspect of inflicting bodily harm by professional negligence.

2. Manipulated credentials
„Tagesspiegel“ reports a case from 2012 and 2013, when Koppers already was provisional respectively Deputy Police President. A high-ranking position in the Land Office of Criminal Investigation was to be staffed. According to the report, Koppers changed the credentials of a head of division in hindsight, even though it already constituted a legally binding document at that point – to the negative. She downgraded several of his grades. At the same time, the grades of a different candidate, whom Koppers possibly preferred, were upgraded. The Federal Administrative court ruled that this was an unlawful manipulation of a proceeding for a high-ranking position. It were „not perceptible that Deputy President Koppers had sufficient knowledge“ about „the accomplishments“ of the officer, it said. The officer won a temporary ordinance against the staffing of the position. The court did not answer the question whether Koppers might have committed forging of documents.

3. Firemen duped of their afterhours?
End of July, Focus reported that Koppers’ authority might have duped the firemen of Berlin, for whom she is responsible, of paying their afterhours. They had been working up to 55 hours a week for years, even though only 48 hours were permissible. Koppers’ authority said in different procedures that the claims were partially lapsed, and that the firemen had been informed that the authority would assert lapse of time. This led to the demands of the firemen for 2001 until 2004 being rejected. But an employee information from 2008 shows that the firemen were promised exactly the opposite: „The authority will not assert lapse of time of claims“, it says.
The opposition in Berlin sees an initial suspicion of collusion in this contradiction. The interior administration did not want to comment on the allegations back then. In a statement it only said, one „stood with the fire brigade of Berlin unrestrictedly“.

4. Koppers is getting a new top position – but there are inconsistencies in the selection procedure
In November 2015, the position of Attorney General for Berlin was advertised. Koppers, who allegedly is close to the Greens, applied for the position. In the end, she was head to head with the jurist Susanne Hoffmann, who is close to the CDU. So the Justice Senator at the time, Thomas Heilmann of the CDU, convened a selection panel, staffed with, among others, conservative federal judges. Koppers remained absent from each single one of the selection interviews, took a sick leave.
Then in December 2016, after the elections for the house of representatives Berlin, the Green politician Dirk Behrendt replaced the former CDU Senator of Justice Heilmann. Behrendt decided to fully replace the selection panel. As soon as the new panel was appointed, Police President Koppers, who had been on a constant sick leave before, showed up to the interview for the first time. Just a few days later it was decided that Koppers will be the new General Attorney.

There was outrage in parts of the capital. The opposition of CDU and FDP railed at “Green Sleaze”. The defeated competitor – in contrast to Koppers an experienced prosecutor, even Deputy Chief Investigator in Brandenburg – pressed charges. But the District Court rejected the lawsuit at the first court. Now, Hoffmann wants to take the lawsuit to the Higher Administrative Court.

Gun Range Affair: as the General Attorney, Koppers would be chief of the investigations
The Green senator Behrendt is happy about the decision at the first court: „Berlin will get an intrepid and energetic General Attorney. She has already proven this in several positions“, he said.
The opposition views it differently. „Koppers is responsible for the desolate situation at the police“, says Marcel Luthe of the FDP Berliner to FOCUS Online. „And now she will move on, to damage the Prosecution next?“

The investigation against unknown for causing bodily harm by professional neglect, in the gun range affair, are ongoing. If Koppers indeed becomes General Attorney, she will soon be the boss of the investigations.

Berlin’s Future Cops: Burglars, and “Insolent as Sh*t” at times

Berlin – Finally, there is reassurance in the Berlin Police Academy scandal, where a leaked voice message lamenting intolerable conditions due to a migrant student rate of 36% surfaced:

Excerpt from Bild Zeitung.

All of the allegations were unfounded, Detective Chief Superintendent Thomas Neuendorf points out (…) “Just because a police trainee is from a city-wide notorious clan doesn’t mean we will discriminate against him. We evaluate the individual case.” Small criminal offenses in the past, like theft or damage of property, were no reason not to be accepted. According to Academy Chief Jochen Sindberg, we shouldn’t forget that these are young people. “It is all too normal that some pupils will be insolent as sh** at times”

Now that is reassuring!

Berlin Police: Diversity – A Cautionary Tale.

Meet the Vice Police Chief of Berlin, lawyer and former judge Margarete Koppers, who is responsible for turning the Berlin Police Academy Spandau into a hot mess by recruiting 36% migrant students (see This Is The Enemy In Our Own Ranks and Police Leadership Knew of Conditions At Academy).

We found this old interview in the gay city magazine “Siegessäule” from Berlin, and think it is pretty self explanatory. It is undated, but considering when Mrs. Koppers was appointed, we estimate it is from December 2012.

An original translation from Siegessäule Berlin (excerpts):

An Interview With Berlin’s Police Vice President
All Machos?
Margarete Koppers talks to Siegessäule about diversity, homophobia and her own coming-out

December 20 [no year given] – She almost became the Police President of Berlin. For one and a half years, Margarete Koppers led the Berlin police provisionally, then she applied for the position as chief. She is seen as an ambitious woman, calmly coordinating the office, and stepping forward against the Rambo image of the police. Late 2012, interior Senator Henkel finally appointed Klaus Kandt, an outsider, for the job, and Koppers remained vice president. Complaints about homophobia and transphobia fall into her responsibility, and she attends many community events. Siegessäule wanted to know what motivates Margarete Koppers and if her living in a lesbian partnership prevented her becoming chief.

Siegessäule: You champion diversity in the police Berlin. So what does that actually mean?
Margarete Koppers: Diversity means that all ethnic groups and all minorities that live in this city are represented in the police. And also, to give each minority the chance to participate in professional success.

What is the aim of the diversity-strategy?
The aim is that we develop different relations between each other within the office, but also outwards. The aim is not to focus on the repressive view, but to see ourselves, and to be seen as, part of society.

The aim should also be to avoid prejudiced investigations. When I look at the NSU murders, they didn’t investigate in this direction for a long time.
Exactly that is the learning curve. To accept people of different background, different religion, different sexual identities just as we accept the ‘majority society’, and that we don’t treat topics stereotypically.
(…)

Aren’t racism, sexism and homophobia a structural problem in our society? Why should that be different in the police Berlin?
You should define what you mean by structural. The way I understand it is that an authority has got structures that make such behaviour possible or even encourage and codify it. But our rules are exactly the opposite.

Is there training on these matters?
We have several modules in the training about this. From history lessons to attending events. We have just dedicated a memorial in front of the Berggruenmuseum. There used to be a police academy that became infamous during National Socialism. Additionally, we work together with NGOs like Maneo or the Federal Anti Discrimination Office, to address issues like racism and homophobia. There also are mandatory modules in further training, but the attendance depends on if the colleagues can get a release from duty.

Since last year, there is a dedicated contact for hate crimes and homophobic crimes in the Prosecution Berlin. Do gays and lesbians now increasingly turn to that contact?
I can only answer that question for the police contacts. We have good success with the gays, but it is more difficult with lesbians. My colleague who is responsible for that tells me that it is much more difficult to get the trust of women. There is a double obstacle, namely, as a woman, and a lesbian, to turn to the police, which is traditionally perceived as male-dominated and macho-like.

Can policemen and -women be openly gay and lesbian at the workplace?
I think that, depending on in which actual environment they work, there are prejudices. I know that many colleagues are open about their sexual identity, but I also know, and this also affects the leadership, that colleagues strictly differentiate between job and personal life. Secretiveness surely leads to more problems than openness.
(…)

What did you find tempting about the police authority? You used to be a judge, and then a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court. Then this change to a male club with esprit de corps and a strict hierarchy. Doesn’t sound all that attractive.
I have perceived the police differently in my career, because, as a criminal judge, I have always closely worked together with the police, and basically made positive experience. I didn’t think too much about the structures of the authority, I just knew it was a large authority with different challenges, closer to society. This, and the leading position, tempted me. I was surprised that the topic of women in leadership positions is still that acute, the media echo was enormous.

You applied for the position of the Police Chief of Berlin, unsuccessfully in the end. I guess the fact that you are a woman, and that you live in a lesbian partnership, did not exactly help, right?
You should ask the people who made the decision. I have my own thoughts about that, but I better keep them to myself.

What is your vision for the police Berlin?
It is important to me that we arrive in the middle of society, and that we do not isolate ourselves in our own structures, and that hierarchy won’t be that important anymore. I would like to see a citizen’s police after the dutch model.

My issue here is: a police chief should be appointed their job because they would make a good police chief. Not because they wish to transform that authority into something else.

Sources tell us that Berlin is working on updating their emblem… 😉

And it should go without saying, but of course I have no grievances with a woman, or for that matter, a lesbian woman, being a police vice president. But no one should be appointed a job because they are a woman, or because they are a lesbian.

District court ruled
Court battle over apartment lease: Defeat for Göttinger AfD politician
November 02, 2017

Göttingen. The regional chairman of the AfD youth organization, Junge Alternative, Lars Steinke, will presumably have to find a new apartment after a court ruling.

The district court of Göttingen granted his landlord’s action for annulment. Reason: the 24-year old withheld from his landlord that, because of his political opinions, he were a likely target for left-leaning violence. According to the court, he should have had to enlighten her about his special role, because it might affect the lease object, a spokesman said. As he had omitted doing that, the lease contract was a result of malevolent deceit, and therefore invalid.

The 24-year-old had moved into the apartment in the city of Göttingen in July 2017. A few months later, the landlord went to court to refute the lease contract – successfully: the district court of Göttingen pointed in its ruling to the respective jurisdiction of the Federal Court. According to that, it is malevolent deceit even then when someone omits facts about which a contractual partner in good faith and trust can expect clarification. For example, the seller of a car must mention when a used car had an accident.

The Göttinger official of the „Jungen Alternative“ had himself said in posts that he saw himself as a target of leftist activists. As this circumstance were significant for the decision about the lease contract, he should have told the landlord without being asked, the judge ruled. And indeed, in the period following, damage of property and arson on the premises occurred, for example at the trash cans.

In march, the car of the 24-year-old, that he had parked at the street, burst into flames in front of the apartment house. The heat damaged another car and a close balcony parapet. The court pointed to the fact that similar instances had occurred at his previous address in Göttingen.

The father of the 24-year-old had signed the lease. According to a spokesman of the judiciary, the lease contained a clause that the father would consistently loan the apartment to his son. But this were not relevant for the decision.

Appeal against the ruling

The 24-year-old announced after the court ruling that he intends to lodge an appeal against the “scandalous ruling”.

Coincidentally, the last post he had shared on Twitter was his Facebook message of
November 1:

If within just one year, hundreds of Christian terrorists carried out acts of terror in more than 50 states, invoking the Bible in doing so, then most media would speak of Christian terrorism without batting an eyelid – and rightfully so. Times Magazine spoke of Buddhist terror, referring to violence against Muslims in Burma. But when the terrorists are Muslims, invoking the Koran, then they refuse to see a connection to Islam.
We do not defame all Muslims when we speak of Islamic terrorism. Not all Muslims put everything into action that is written in the Koran. Some just put into action what feels similar to them. Peaceful humans will choose the peaceful passages, and say, this is the message of the Koran. We like these Muslims, and we do not call them “selective”, but “liberal”, or “moderate”. Violent people invoke the violent passages and say, this is what God expects from us. We do not like these Muslims, and we say they are radical and misunderstand the Koran.
The fact that most Muslims do not commit acts of violence is not thanks to Islam. Islam expects of Muslims to pray five times a day in the Mosque. Very few Muslims do that. Is it due to Islam that they neglect this obligation? Islam demands that Muslims work diligently, not lie at the court, and keep the streets clean. Do all Muslims do accordingly? Islam permits man to marry four women at the same time. Very few Muslims use this permission. Islam legitimizes violence against unbelievers, legitimizes discrimination of religious minorities, and beating of women. The fact that many Muslims do not do any of this is not thanks to Islam, but thanks to the pragmatism and reason of the people who don’t do these things.
It is correct to say that not each single decision and each single deed of a Muslim can be attributed to Islam only, but at the same time, we cannot say: cleanliness, diligence, honesty, polygamy, hatred for unbelievers, violence against women, discrimination of minorities and praying five times a day have nothing to do with Islam!
Terror has got many causes that need to come together so that a person will become a terrorist. The social situation, the political situation in the world, the structure of his personality all play a role in that. But the religion and what it says about Jihad and the unbelievers, and what it promises the martyr after death, are central causes. So why is it defamation to say what we can empirically prove?

Berlin: Police Leadership Knew of Conditions at Academy

Berlin – another police officer has, anonymously, come forward, and confirmed an instructor’s allegations of intolerable conditions at the police academy Berlin Spandau, due to the high number of migrant students (see our original report from yesterday here).
Also, a newspaper has obtained an internal document from a Berlin police leadership meeting, which shows that the leadership long knew of the problems.

New urgent reminder after instructor’s complaint:

State Office of Criminal Investigations Officer: „Just a matter of time when first shot will be fired“

November 2., 2017
By Axel Lier

What police Berlin will have to expect as new colleagues in the future “pushes the imagination to the limit!” An officer of the State Office of Criminal investigations (Landeskriminalamt, LKA) has spoken out anonymously in the discussion about intolerable conditions at the Berlin police academy.

After the serious accusations against police students with migration background who are in training in Berlin-Spandau, now an, in his words, “concerned police officer of the state of Berlin” comes forward in an open letter to police president Klaus Kandt (B.Z. have obtained the document). Earlier, an instructor had lamented intolerable conditions at the police academy Spandau – here is the full text.

The LKA-officer now comes to the instructor’s defense – and raises serious allegations against the police leadership! They were downplaying grievances, as for example at the academy in Spandau. The officer detects infiltration of police and justice by Arab clans, and, in his open letter, describes problems with police students with migration background.

„Pushes The Imagination To The Limit!“

He were police officer since 1986 and had seen his fair share of things. He writes: „In my whole professional career, I only feared police officers twice. The first time was at an assignment ‚Ongling burglary suspected, perpetrator probably armed with gun‘. When we entered the house, a colleague behind me loaded his gun, but the familiar ‘ka-klick’ of the decocker was missing. He only decocked the gun, after I had drawn his attention to it. Now, I am worried again, but more than about hat colleague who might have shot me in the back in the chaos. Because that, what we have to expect as new colleagues in the future, pushes the imagination to the limit!”

Treating Female Officers Like Cleaning Women
Die Welt reports that the police leadership was aware of the allegations for quite some time. The newspaper cites an internal document from a leadership meeting which they obtained. The percentage of migrants at the academy were currently 30%. Part of the candidates for police service can’t swim, even though this were mandatory for recruitment. They were treating female officers like cleaning women, it says.

But the police leadership were denying any dialogue and downplaying the grievances, says the officer in his open letter: “If an instructor goes public anonymously, then only, because the dialogue with the leadership that they were asking for is non-existent!” The leadership were “watering down, downplaying, and talking down incidents” and were “shrouded in silence”.

„Police bends even antisocials into shape!“
The officer quotes the internal intranet of the police in his letter: “Without anticipating the results, he (Mister Kandt) is of the firm conviction that it is the job of the police academy to socialize the students in such a way that they will show discipline, politeness and respect in their interactions with each other, as well as with their superiors, and the people of the city.“

But, so the officer, the academy cannot socialize the students:

„Socialisation – this is what I was taught at exactly this faculty – of a human being takes place at two places: in his parents’ home – this should be the norm – or in a correctional facility. The faculty is dependant on people who are already versed in the rules of social interaction, as well as in the official language German, as it is required by legislation.“

The officer continues in drastic words: „This is how I translate your statement: ‚The police will bend into shape even antisocials!‘ No, it won’t. If this were the case, then there would be no need for the police!“

The LKA officer in his letter also admonishes the subversion of public service and justice: “Without doubt we can state that the subversion by Arab clans has already begun“.

He had doubts “that this still was the same police where I started more than 30 years ago.“

Besides, the anonymous officer criticizes that the police vice president Margarete Koppers were allegedly treating applicants from Arab clans notorious to the police too liberal, and that notorious lawyers of the milieu represent her .

„Tolerance comes to an end when female superiors aren’t respected anymore“
The officer condemns further grievances in the academy:

„When female superiors aren’t respected anymore, because they are women, when the students refuse swimming training, because ‘someone unclean’ might have been swimming in the pool, then tolerance and welcome culture and ‚Multikulti‘ come to an end!“

Such people should „be shown the door, because they haven’ grasped the basic rules of our democracy, they aren’t socialized in the spirit of our laws, and the citizen out there can’t expect any help from people like these.“

„Just a matter of time when first shots will be fired“
It were „just a matter of time when between two colleagues of rivalling ethnicities at the police first shots will be fired“, the police officer worries.

He did not want to give his name, because „I trust the police leadership less than the colleague with the not decocked gun in my back.“

He closes his letter „with collegial greetings“ as a „concerned police officer of the state of Berlin“.

Internal Document

Police Leadership Knew of the Problems At Police Academy

By Michael Behrend
It appears that the leadership of the Berlin police knew of the problems with police students with migration background.
This is what an internal paper suggests. It talks about „condescending treatment“ of women, and deficits in the professional ethos.
According to information that Die Welt have obtained, there is a climate of fear at the academy.
Why this is relevant:
The debate about grievances at the academy was started by an audio recording in which the complaints of instructor about Turkish and Arab police students can be heard.

It appears that the leadership of the police Berlin had been aware for quite some time of the escalating grievances at the academy. Die Welt have obtained an internal paper of a leadership discussion from August this year.

Accordingly, the police academy laments problems, „that developed due to the recruitment of officers with migration background (currently 30%)“. For example, part of the candidates can’t swim, even though this is mandatory for recruitment. Besides, a „condescending treatment of female officers, as if they were cleaning women“, is Additionally, candidates lacked professional ethos.

According to Welt information, there is a climate of fear at the academy. “There were teachers who wanted to meet representatives of the parties to talk about the grievances. But pressure was exerted on them”, a leading police officer of Berlin says.

The spokesman for inner politics of the FDP in Berlin, Marcel Luthe, says: „The police union organized a meeting with us and teachers. It was cancelled.“ The debate about grievances at the academy was started by an audio recording in which the complaints of instructor about Turkish and Arab police students can be heard.

Die Welt were first to report on this. Police president Klaus Kandt announced that he received the audio file last Friday. The sender of the file was identified, and there was a talk with him. He was criticized for not having turned to his employer.

Luthe said: „I do not now a single case that had a different outcome than denying the problem. The police academy is directly subject to the police president, the dramatic problems that repeatedly occur are his direct responsibility. The academy needs a police leader with experience in duty and in teaching at its top.“

Luthe demanded that the interior senate take action. „No matter which stone you turn around, terrorism, a 15 percent increase in crime since 2011, the lowest clearance rate, areas where there is open drug dealing, and now the police academy – the leadership of the police Berlin is a total failure. How much longer will the Interior Senator ask the Berliners to put up with this?“

Toronto Star explains he didn’t really mean what he meant and we are horrible for noticing he said it

UPDATE: Gates of Vienna analysis of this issue.

UPDATE 2: An excellent article by Honest Reporting Canada. Worth the read. And they are investigating the “experts”.

  • Were these individuals paid by the Star?

  • With respect to Mohammed Aboghodda of the Understanding Islam Academy, the Star describes him as an “expert” – please explain on what grounds he can be described as an “expert” in Arabic and a trusted source when it comes to translation work?

  • Is the Star aware that one of its “experts”, Nazir Harb Michel of Georgetown University, was previously accused of providing “whitewashed translations” of an Islamic hate preacher’s sermon in America? In fact, he’s an ardent anti-Israel detractor (see here and here). Shouldn’t this be disclosed?

  • Is the Star aware that one of its “experts”, according to the ADL, Kristin Brustad of the University of Texas at Austin, wrote a letter to the editor that appeared in the Atlanta Journal Constitution in 2001 where Brustad claimed that Israel had violated international law with its “brutal, dehumanizing military occupation and confiscation of Palestinian land, home demolition and agricultural stranglehold.” Shouldn’t this be disclosed?

  • Is the Star aware that Atiqa Hachimi of the University of Toronto is a signatory to several anti-Israel campaigns? Shouldn’t this be disclosed? Hachimi claimed in a video news report that the Star produced (see immediately below) that the alleged video recording of the Imam’s sermon is “dangerously lacking context,” was “doctored” and that it “promotes a gross misunderstanding” with a wrong translation.

Some of you may remember this video of an Imam at the Toronto Masjid (Mosque) preaching death to everyone and demanding that the Jerusalem Mosque be “cleansed of the filth of the Jews”.

Well, after several months, the Toronto Star published a rather lengthy attempt to spin this sermon and make everyone else look like the bad guy while this imam is just a poor misunderstood messenger of allah.

Here is a small excerpt:

It is about an imam who made hurtful mistakes that he could not adequately explain. But it is also about the slipperiness of language — especially in a climate of viral misinformation, polarized debate and geopolitical conflicts that have found fresh battlegrounds in Canada.

Elkasrawy’s prayers were undeniably problematic, but they were also distorted to fit a certain narrative that gave his words added potency amid rising anti-Islamic sentiment.

In a controversy that hinges on his words, a central question was never fully investigated: Did Elkasrawy really say Jews were filth? Did he really call for them to be killed?

According to several Arabic experts contacted by the Star, the answer is no.

“I’ve learned a personal lesson throughout this entire process,” Farber says. “Do not take anything for granted. Not even words.”

It goes on for pages and pages of insubstantial apologia, raising the name of Bernie Farber several times, a far far left wing Jewish fellow who speaks at lots of events where the multicultural narrative has to be pushed on Canadians, recently appearing with a panel of leftist and Islamic speakers including NCCM, (the new name for CAIR-Canada), at City Hall in Ottawa.

and then we get to this:

Translation is not an exact science. Words are like prisms, refracting different shades of meaning. A good translation is one that captures the right hue.

More vilification of everyone connected to the translation and then:

But such stories contained a glaring oversight: this was not at all what Elkasrawy said.

This is the consensus that emerged from five Arabic experts who independently analyzed Elkasrawy’s prayers at the Star’s request. The experts — from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom — are Arabic translators, linguists and university professors with published book chapters, academic papers and textbooks. None of them knows Elkasrawy.

The experts found that the imam’s prayers were not without fault, and many clarified that they do not condone or excuse some of the language he used.

But they also described the initial, widely circulated translation as “mistranslated,” “decontextualized” and “disingenuous.” One said it had the hallmarks of a “propaganda translation.”

Lets see if it is a mistranslation or not.

Lets start with Hizb-utTahrir:

[…]

Al-Aqsa is calling out to you, where is Al-Farouq Omar, where is Salahuddin… Where is the Khilafah of the Muslims, do you trivialize that the station of Israa’ of RasulAllah (saw) is desecrated by the Jews and their filth?

[…]

The Jews storm into Al-Aqsa to perform their rituals… to desecrate the land with their filth. Can Al-Aqsa be desecrated and to have other than Allah honored in it while you watch!! Where are you, O the best of the believers??

[…]

O officers and commanders renew the memory of Salahuddin and gather the two extensions of Al-Okab; Egypt and Ash-Sham, to soar with the Muslim Ummah and crush the Jewish entity and purify the holy land of their filth.

This is a pretty solidly Islamic organization. And they appear to be quite clear on the use of the word, “filth” with respect (after a fashion) to Jewish people. Perhaps, as Robert Spencer suggests, the Toronto Star should send their people down to the office of Hizb-ut-Tahrir and teach them proper Arabic.

Please note that the official page of this group linked above and quoted here, is IN ENGLISH. No question of translation issues. It is their translation. Not ours. But does show what conventional and orthodox Islamic teaching is. I mean for those who can’t be bothered to read a koran.

Robert Spencer did an article today on Jihad Watch on this subject here:

This is laying it on really thick. He is just a wide-eyed kid from Cairo at heart, you see, hesitant to speak because he makes mistakes. How can you greasy Islamophobes get mad at this poor lovable guy?

Please click over and read the whole article at JW.

And lastly, an interview I did with Robert Spencer just this evening:

Comment under the Robert Spencer interview at Youtube:

The Toronto Star’s “Arabic sociolinguist and dialectologist” Atiqa Hachimi says that ??? (danas) is “widely understood as desecration when used in reference to holy things and places.” This is absolute rubbish. The root of this word means “to be soiled, sullied, defiled, polluted.” Only in the second, causative form (called ??????? in Arabic) does this root mean “to desecrate.” In this form, the word would be ????? (tadn?s), not ??? (danas). These are completely different words. The imam is clearly saying “Purify Al-Aqsa mosque from the danas,” not the “tadn?s” of the Jews. Muslims will do anything to defend their religion and their so-called Prophet. This includes lying and killing.

But in a way I have to admire the Toronto Star.

It reminds me of that old joke. The one that was worn out and is new again.

“Who ya gonna believe? Me? Or your lying eyes?

Suddenly interesting video of Hillary Clinton sneaking into a UK university

Like any true psychopath, Hillary Clinton is quite sensitive about anything negative about her, or anything that stands in the way of her ambitions, but utterly cold towards the suffering of others. It is why I think she was able to destroy the Western-friendly Libyan regime simply to be able to seem like a capable hawk to most US voters.

So I didn’t think there was anything worthwhile really in this video of her avoiding UK protesters recently until I was casually discussing it with someone and I could not find it using multiple searches on Youtube. It simply would not turn up in search results even though I had all the right key words.

After searching all my history on all browsers going back a couple of days I found it.

So suddenly it seems interesting. Is this the extent to which Google is manipulating search results that they actually try and bury things ex-presidential candidate Clinton finds embarrassing?

It could of course be my awful spelling. Why not search Youtube for ‘Clinton Swansea’ or ‘Hillary UK protests’, and see if you have better luck.
