Father, brother admit to murdering teen

The father and brother of Aqsa Parvez have pleaded guilty to murdering the rebellious 16-year-old in an abhorrent honour killing.
Muhammad Parvez, 60, and his son, Waqas, 29, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Tuesday in the Dec. 10 2007 strangulation of Aqsa and they face an automatic term of life in prison .
At the time of her shocking murder, which Peel Police have described as a “planned and deliberate act,” the Grade 11 Mississauga student was estranged from her Muslim family because she was bristling at their restrictions. She had moved in with a friend’s family and no longer wore a hijab in her Applewood high school in Mississauga.
In an agreed statement of facts read by Sandra Caponecchia, court heard Aqsa, who had already been promised by her family in an arranged marriage, ran away from home twice because of her lack of freedom. With assistance from her school counselor, she stayed at a shelter the first time and with a friend the next. Despite her father allowing her to wear Western clothes and begging her to return, she refused to come back.
She had told her friends that her dad had sworn on the Koran that he would kill her if she ran away again.

SOS Racisme called for the event scheduled for Friday in the Goutte d’Or area of north Paris to be banned because it sent out a “message of hate and of violence towards groups of people because of their real or supposed origins”.
The opposition Communist Party said in a statement that “this disgusting joke seeks to exacerbate the differences that make for the richness of the 18th arrondissement (district)”.
Sylvie Francois, a local resident, told French radio that she set up a Facebook page for the event to fight against what she saw as the increasing “Islamisation” of her area.
The project has been publicised on internet social networking sites by a small far-Right group that calls itself the Bloc Identitaire.
Paris police said they will meet with the event’s organisers on Tuesday to consider their official request for permission to hold the event.

A group of extremist Muslims prompted violent clashes at a homecoming parade for British troops today after they heckled soldiers and called them ‘murderers.’
Members of the Muslim Against the Crusade group clashed with far right protesters as they shouted ‘murderers, murderers, murderers’ and ‘British troops go to hell’ as members of the 1st Battalion the Royal Anglian Regiment paraded down the streets of Barking, Essex.
The chants were drowned out by a large mob on the opposite side of the street who retaliated with jeers of ‘Traitors’ to the Muslim protesters.

Moments after the soldiers passed through tensions reached boiling point and the anti-Mac campaigners broke through the barricades, charged across the road and traded punches with the Muslim throng.

5.1.2(3) Merchant ships flying the flag of a neutral State may be attacked if they are believed on reasonable grounds to be carrying contraband or breaching a blockade, and after prior warning they intentionally and clearly refuse to stop, or intentionally and clearly resist visit, search, capture or diversion.
5.1.2(4) Merchant ships flying the flag of a neutral State may be attacked if they:
(a) engage in belligerent acts on behalf of the enemy;
(c) are incorporated into or assist the enemy’s intelligence system;
(e) otherwise make an effective contribution to the enemy’s military action, e.g., by carrying military materials, and it is not feasible for the attacking forces to first place passengers and crew in a place of safety. Unless circumstances do not permit, they are to be given a warning, so that they can re-route, off-load, or take other precautions.
5.2.1 Visit and search
As an exception to Principle 5.1.2. paragraph 1 and in accordance with Principle 1.3 (2nd sentence), belligerent warships have a right to visit and search vis-a?-vis neutral commercial ships in order to ascertain the character and destination of their cargo. If a ship tries to evade this control or offers resistance, measures of coercion necessary to exercise this right are permissible. Blockade, i.e. the interdiction of all or certain maritime traffic coming from or going to a port or coast of a belligerent, is a legitimate method of naval warfare. In order to be valid, the blockade must be declared, notified to belligerent and neutral States, effective and applied impartially to ships of all States. A blockade may not bar access to neutral ports or coasts. Neutral vessels believed on reasonable and probable grounds to be breaching a blockade may be stopped and captured. If they, after prior warning, clearly resist capture, they may be attacked.

During the raid on the Muslim terror ship, Israeli commandos have arrested a Bosnian Muslim national. His name is Yasser Mohamad Sabbagh and he is of the Syrian origin and he is pictured on the left.
Four additional Balkan Muslims were nabbed by the Israelis and presumably all of them are ethnic Albanian Muslims. One is from Kosovo and the 3 others are from Macedonia where Wahhabism is rampant among the Albanian Muslims.
The Kosovo Albanian arrested by Israel is Ramiqi Fuad President of Muslim Forum of Kosova and he said to Sabbagh:
“I was at this time stated the common suffering that we went during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kosovo war. Knowing what the situation in Palestine, at least we can contribute is that they carry a part of faith in the freedom that we achieved after long years, and will also one day have.
Sabbagh wrote in his last e-mail sent by the Organization of MFS in BiH saying that “Because of this mission has only one representative from Kosovo and a representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina, pleases you to more Bosnia. the media involved in monitoring these activities”.
Earlier this year, Israel warned via Macedonia’s PM that local Balkan Muslims are deep into world’s Islamic Jihad.
When it comes to the right to speak one’s mind about Islam, the record of the last few years makes it clear which direction the West is moving in. In France and Italy, Oriana Fallaci is put on trial for disparaging Islam. In Canada, Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant are hauled before “human rights commission” tribunals for criticizing Islam in print. In Australia, an Islamic organization sues two pastors for “vilification of Muslims.” In Britain, a Daily Telegraph columnist is arrested on charges of hate speech for having written negatively about Islam, and the Archbishop of Canterbury proposes that Parliament pass stronger laws against such speech acts. And in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders, the head of the Freedom Party, which performed so well in the June 9 general elections that Wilders may end up in the governing coalition, still faces trial for having made a film about the Koranic foundations of terrorism.
Then there’s Norway, where I live, and where the last few days have seen yet another dark development. By way of background, permit me to begin by quoting myself. On pages 230-31 of my book Surrender: Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom I sum up the more alarming aspects of Norway’s Discrimination Law, passed in 2005:
It forbids “harassment on the grounds of ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, skin color, language, religion, or beliefs,” and, in turn, defines harassment as “actions, omissions, or utterances [my emphasis] that have the effect or are intended to have the effect of being insulting, intimidating, hostile, degrading, or humiliating.”
In other words, it’s illegal just to say certain things.
Defendants may be accused not only by the individuals whom they’ve supposedly offended but also by semiofficial organs such as the Anti-Racist Center and the Center against Ethnic Discrimination (both of which helped formulate the law, and both of which exist less to oppose real racism and discrimination than to oppose political incorrectness generally) or by the government’s Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud.
Which means that a handful of far-left organizations have been given enormous power to silence those they disagree with.
Violations of the law by individuals are punishable by fine; violations by individuals in concert with at least two other persons (such as a writer conspiring with an editor and publisher, perhaps?) can be punished by up to three years’ imprisonment — this in a country where murderers often get off with less. Moreover, the burden of proof is on the accused: you’re guilty until proven innocent.
And this in a supposedly free country.

Full veils are banned in all public spaces in small towns Lerida and El Vendrell, which like Barcelona are in the northeastern region of Catalonia.
“Barcelona will forbid the use of the burqa, niqab and any other item which hinders personal identification in any of the city’s public installations,” a statement from the Barcelona municipal government said.
The French cabinet approved a bill last month to outlaw the wearing of niqabs and burqas in public, and Belgium’s lower house has voted in favour of prohibiting the full veil, provoking strong reaction and stoking debate across Europe.
Barcelona Mayor Jordi Hereu resisted calls to impose a ban on full face veils in all public spaces in Spain’s second-largest city because he said it was outside the jurisdiction of a municipal government.
“The use of the burqa and niqab undermines the dignity and freedom of women,” Alberto Fernandez, a Barcelona city councillor for the conservative Popular Party (PP), said on his website.
“The mayoral decree is a half-measure, because as well as forbidding the burqa and niqab in public installations, it is necessary to forbid it on the street,” he added.
The Barcelona ban is due to take effect after the summer.
Spain was partly ruled by Islamic Moors from the 8th to the 15th centuries and had around 1.4 million Muslims in 2009 – about 3 percent of the population – according to the Islamic Commission of Spain.
In a recent controversy, a young woman in Madrid changed schools after refusing to remove her Islamic headscarf when the institute where she was studying enforced its rule banning the wearing of headcoverings.
The Khadr’s, Canada’s First Family of Terror, are a despicable lot. Not a year goes by without one of them appearing on the front pages, living out their Islamist customs and traditions. This time it’s Abdulkareem Khadr, the son of patriarch Ahmed, who was killed in a firefight near the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. Abdulkareem was left paralyzed from a bullet to his spine in this same firefight and after returning to Canada, now finds himself charged with sexual assault of a minor.

TORONTO — The partially paralyzed son of the late Canadian al-Qaeda associate Ahmed Said Khadr has been arrested in Toronto for alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.
Abdulkareem Ahmed Khadr, 21, was arrested 10 days ago by Toronto Police and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 15.
“He has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation,” Constable Tony Vella, a police spokesman, said on Monday. The alleged victim was a minor but is now 18 years of age, Const. Vella said.
Reached at the family apartment on Monday, Mr. Khadr said: “Don’t worry about it. I’m pretty sure the law is going to do what it’s supposed to do.”
The arrest is the latest chapter in the saga of the Khadrs, Canadian citizens who once lived in the same compound as Osama bin Laden but fled Afghanistan after the fall of the Taliban in 2001.
The family patriarch, Amhed Khadr, crossed into Pakistan, where he was killed in a shootout with Pakistani security forces in 2003. His son Omar is at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, accused of killing a U.S. soldier.
Another son, Abdullah, is in Toronto awaiting extradition to the United States, where he has been charged with smuggling weapons to the Taliban and al-Qaeda, while son Abdurahman has said his father tried to recruit him to become a suicide bomber.
The fifth of six Khadr children, Abdulkareem, who was born in Pakistan, was present when his father was killed near the Afghanistan border. Then 14, Abdulkareem took a bullet to the spine and is paralyzed from the waist down.
He returned to Toronto in 2004 using an emergency passport issued by the Canadian government. At the time, Stockwell Day, then an opposition MP and now International Trade Minister, said the Khadrs had lost the right to call themselves Canadians.
“They’ve expressed their allegiance to the principles of al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden,” Mr. Day said. “That alone should be grounds to have their citizenship revoked.”
The mother denies the family has ties to al-Qaeda.
In 2006, Abdulkareem turned up in Brampton, Ont., to watch bail hearings for the Toronto 18 terrorists who plotted truck bomb attacks in southern Ontario. Two years later, he took part in a protest outside the United States consulate in Toronto to call for the release of his brother Omar.
On Monday, Abdulkareem said he was arrested at a police station in suburban Scarborough on June 4. “I went to go see what they were talking about, talk to them and that’s it,” he said. “They gave me the papers and whatnot and that’s it, they let me go.”
Mr. Khadr said he was unsure whether he would have to appear in court next month. “I might not need to appear, I might need to appear, it doesn’t matter,” he said. Asked if he meant the case might be resolved or the charges dropped before that date, he said, “yes.”
His sister Zaynab said she was unaware of any charges.
“He hasn’t been charged with anything, if there was any charges believe me I’d know about it,” she said on Monday. “I don’t know about any of that and believe me I would have known, I have a minor in the house.”

Controversial: Thilo Sarrazin warned ‘less educated’ immigrants are making Germany ‘dumber’
Immigrants are making Germany ‘dumber’, according to a board member of the country’s central bank.
Thilo Sarrazin claimed the ‘limited education’ of immigrants – coupled with their high birth rate – meant Germans ‘are becoming dumber in a simple way’.
He said: ‘There’s a difference in the reproduction of population groups with varying intelligence.’
It is not the first time the 65-year-old member of the Bundesbank has caused controversy since he joined last year.
In October he described Muslim children as ‘underclass’ citizens.
‘I don’t have to accept someone who lives off a state they reject, doesn’t properly take care of the education of his children-and keeps producing more little girls in headscarves,’ Mr Sarrazin said. Continue Reading →
