Catholic, Muslim leaders want negative language removed from school books
Catholic and Muslim officials want all negative references to each others’ religions removed from school books.
The proposal was put forward in joint statement following talks in Vatican City between delegations from Cairo’s Al Azhar University and senior Catholic officials, Reuters reports.
“Scholastic books should be revised in order not to contain material which may offend the religious sentiments of other believers, at times through the erroneous presentation of dogmas, morals or history,” the joint statement says.
The statement does not detail how the two groups would attempt to achieve this rewrite.
At their first Catholic-Muslim Forum in November, Vatican and Islamic scholars discussed the need to stop the spread of mistaken impressions about the religions by improving the books used to teach about them.
Their November joint statement also noted the need to shield youth from religious extremism and violence.

The Canadian Federation of Jewish Students warned Thursday about the growth of violence and threats against Jews who overtly support Israel or who are wearing clothing that identifies them as Jews.
“Such dangerous including swarming, confinement, verbal and physical abuse poses threats not only to Jewish students but also to the fabric of civil discourse that Canadians proudly cherish,” said CFJS chair of Israel Affairs, Noah Kochman, at a Toronto press conference.

Here is a scathing yet beautifully written article from today’s Ottawa Sun by talk show host Michael Coren, many episodes of which can be seen here on VTB. Coren has the rare ability to eloquently speak the truth in the face of fashion. Something typically reserved for court jesters in the middle ages. In case you don’t know, that was a high compliment. The jester was likely the only person in the kings court who could speak the truth without fear or need to appease as a yes man.

Never retell anything from the past for fear of insulting someone

So the proposed re-enactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in Quebec has been scrapped.
Even though it would have been entirely accurate, if appallingly over-sensitive to the losers, it told a truth that was not pleasant to militant separatists. And nobody wants to in any way offend anybody in modern Canada.
Welcome to the wonderful world of historical revisionism.
In fact the victory of the British over the French 250 years ago was merely one battle in a massive imperial struggle between two European super powers.
And if the French-speaking forces had shown as much determination over the actual battle as they have over its replica, perhaps they would have had a better result. But just as at Agincourt, Waterloo and the rest, the French lost.
On a larger scale the French tend to lose to the Germans as well as the British. Which is why in 1870 their leaders fled to England and why in 1914 and then again in 1940 the British and their imperial cousins had to lend a helping hand.
Actually during the Second World War the Royal Navy was obliged to destroy the French fleet because most experts assumed it would be surrendered to the Nazis. A lovely maritime scene that could be re-enacted.
Or a re-enactment of the collaboration of Vichy France with the Germans, when French civil police handed over Jewish children to the occupiers who explained that they’d only asked for the adults at that stage.
Vichy, by the way, enjoyed strong support in Quebec — golly, this and Quebec’s attitude to fighting the Nazis could be yet another opportunity for a re-enactment.
There is a terribly politically incorrect joke about French roads being lined with trees so that Germans can march in the shade. This joke should never be re-enacted because it might cause offence to someone. Trees perhaps. Or roads. Or the shade. So what other historical truths must never be mentioned for fear of hurting feelings?
That Africans themselves often sold people to white slavers and that long after slavery was abolished by the British the slave trade continued, particularly under African and Arab leadership.
That white, Christian slaves were still being freed as late as the 19th century by European navies. Or that white men never purposely used infected blankets to kill natives or that cannibalism, widow murder, head-hunting, tribal genocide and forced female circumcision were all prevented by European empires in the Americas, Africa and Asia.
Or that the Ottoman Empire’s surveys revealed that very few people lived in the area later known as Palestine until the Jews began to return to it, and that it was not considered a nation state or a separate political entity.
Or that after Israel had conquered Gaza and the West Bank it offered them back to Egypt and Jordan and both refused.
Crusades
Or that the Crusades were not known as such until long after they had stopped and that they were merely a direct response to Islam’s invasion of the Christian heartlands of North Africa and the Levant.
Or that Galileo was a faithful Catholic whose patron was a cardinal and that Copernicus was a priest.
Or that Joseph Stalin killed more people than Hitler, that Che Guevara was a mass murderer and that historical truth may be jarring but it’s nevertheless truth.
Now go and re-enact that.

Below please find videos on the actual history of the crusades as written both by the aggressors, The Muslim nation and its victims, the Christian European defenders. The Crusades is taught so badly in terms of the facts one would think the entire history was made up by the CBC. You wouldn’t be that far off. Much of it was created by the BBC its spiritual sister. However the video below, while not spoken by an actor and the narration is poor by the standards of what we have come to expect from TV, is factually correct and can be determined to be so by any scholarly history on the matter. I refer you to the excellent book, ‘A concise History of the Crusades‘ which you can link through to Amazon.com here through the store page of Vlad. This book as well as these videos use information from the source. Chroniclers of the day, and in the areas where the events known to us as the Crusades actually took place.
Please enjoy. These videos where all found initially on the most excellent website, Occidental Soapbox. A good resource for factual history where we are typically fed politically corrected nonsense to avoid offending the fifth column living in western nations. This site is worth bookmarking and checking often. The focus there is history and they do a very good job of explaining issues which have become political hot buttons today, from Israel to Ireland.

A little fiction to help get some perspective on today’s reality.
There is a story this link leads to, which is a wonderful dialectic. One which reminds me of the wonderful writieng style of Scott Adam’s best known as the creator of Dilbert but less known perhaps for his most charming book, ‘god’s Debris‘, one of the most enjoyable reads I have ever had. This story I do not think was written by Adam’s and nor is it charming in other than style. But like brilliant fiction since the invention of the novel, is a good way of using literary devices to help us understand our own reality. This author uses a time traveler from the future to solidify our understanding of the present. Settle back with a drink perhaps and take 15 minutes and enjoy this 2 page short story. This writer, actually gets it. We all need to if we hope to survive the near future in any recognizable way.
The Muslim failure that is Palestine
Today’s National Post has published an article by veteran columnist George Jonas on the Gaza/Israel conflict. As usual, Mr. Jonas is succinct in his assertion that Gaza is a failed entity cradled in the hands of extremist ideology. I agree and further claim Gaza is yet another Muslim failure the rest of the world has to endure.
Judea Pearl, father of murdered son Daniel Pearl, speaks at a UN briefing for NGO’s: ” It may come as a surprise to some of you, but after a century of bloodshed, many negotiations, inter-faith dialogues, and countless UN-funded cultural programs, the majority of Muslims today still reject the idea that Jews deserve a state in some part of Palestine. Instead, Muslims perceive Israel to be a temporary outpost of western colonialism, hastily created out of guilt or greed”.
Mr. Jonas contends; ” If the Arab/Muslim world had a fraction of the interest in creating a Palestinian state as it has in destroying a Jewish one, the Palestinians would have had their country long ago”. Simply put, if the Arab/Muslim world were to relinquish their longs standing hatred of Jews, the Palestinian people would live in prosperity and peace.
“Hamas’s strongest supporters may be in the West, among left-wing activists and media types who have been wrong about everything in world affairs. I suppose it makes sense for terrorists to be sheltered mainly by errorists in the end”.
Hamas’s strongest supporters are indeed in the West, making a mockery out of peace and justice. To gain a glimpse of gross err, Islamist extremism and all those aboard the ‘peace’ train, attend an anti-Israeli protest in Canada, or France, or Belgium, or the United States, or Denmark, England, or…….

Why the Nazis score higher than Islam as a colonizing force.
As I have written a few times on Vlad one of the great errors people make historically (and as a general rule) is failure to understand when a series of events represents policy as opposed to isolated and seemingly bizarre disconnected actions.
When the Taliban blew up the Buddha sculptures in Afghanistan some years ago the world was somewhat shocked. This was a pre 911 world of course and compared to today we were easily horrified. (Would be good to have those times back). In any case most decided this was an atrocious action by a small group of crazies and the religious rationale couldn’t be used. They explained it, we decided they where crazy. After all Islam couldn’t possibly be what they claimed it was. We all knew that it was a minority religion mostly followed by third worlders therefore it had to be earth friendly nicely collectivist and above all tolerant and diverse. We confused our religion with theirs.
However this story out of Bangaladesh shows how policy is being implemented all over now, not just in Afghanistan or England anymore.
The policy is, No image of any creature Allah made, and according to Islam Allah made everything, may be allowed to be made or exist.
This means no sculpture no photos no drawings and Im pretty sure we already know, certainly no cartoons.
In Iran after the revolution the ayatollah arranged to have over 100,000 dancers and artists killed and many hundreds of thousands more went into exile out of Iran. The students who were mostly secular at the time had no clue what Islam was all about and where quite shocked. They where mostly men and women who where educated and for the most part secular. They had no idea what an ‘Islamic state’ was about according to many and just thought they where getting rid of the Shaw. To their horror, the Shaw was a far far better deal than the new revolutionary Islamic state.
During the few short years of WW2, the Nazis went around Europe and stole all the art they felt was any good. The idea was that all art of consequence should be in Berlin. I am certainly not arguing that the Nazi appreciation for art was good or that it was preferable to a free society but the comparison between Nazism and Islam needs to be made and the Nazis are actually preferable on some scores even if its a -98 nazi’s Vs. a -100 for Islam.
Both ideologies want to kill all the jews.
Both Ideologies wish to dominate the world and destroy any opposition.
The Nazis lasted less than 10 years. Islam has been manifesting similar policies and committing genocides since the seventh century BC.
The Nazis wish to dictate what art is acceptable and how and where. The Muslims wish to stamp out all art everywhere as blasphemy and kill its perpetrators. Often by stoning to death in long and elaborate brutal rituals.
A quick google search for ‘Muslims attack Art’ gives enough results to satisfy any doubters to the facts of the Islamic view on the world of art if Koran itself does not as well as Islam’s other manifestos. No image of anything their god allah made may be allowed to exist and where Muslims have the numbers and authority art will be destroyed.
The left in the west has been hoodwinked again as this recent New York Times article shows about the Mumbai attacks. Exactly as in Iran they imagine the Islamists are useful idiots helping to overthrow capitalism and other illiberal ideas. The Muslims see the left the same way but once they win together its the guys holding the guns who set the rules.
At least if the Nazi’s had won the survivors could have a ham and cheese sandwich and a beer. Who knows maybe even a cigarette after in the same chair.

Here are some tragic examples of utter cultural suicide. From the seemingly innocuous such as the renaming of some British pubs, some of which are centuries old so as not to offend their new Muslim overlords to the stripping of rights hard won over centuries of sacrifice in blood against tyranny.
First, a truly unbelievable bit of news brought to us by the Opinionator.

Even patriotic parades and bingo halls have fallen under the cutting blade of political correctness that is intent on wiping out any semblence of the indigenous British culture and cohesiveness.”
This is more serious than it appears. This is part of Islam’s war on history itself. In parts of Israel which are ruled by Muslims there are archaeological digs taking place where all artifacts recovered are destroyed in order to eliminate evidence that Jews where ever there. Islam using ‘offense’ to try and change British culture is no different as the destruction of Christian symbols in a recently discovered 4th century church in Saudi Arabia.
This is one of the fronts of Jihad. terror being one, finance another as in sharia banking and cultural jihad where political correctness is used to change any aspects of a host culture which is claimed to be offensive to Islam. This ends up in essence enforcing Sharia law on all nations where a minority of Muslims wield enough influence.
Then, as previously posted on Vlad, we have the dramatic rise of forced marriages in the UK by Muslim families contracting their daughters to marriages often to first cousins back in the home country and through family reunification programs we see a growing influence of rural fundamentalist Muslims coming in to the UK and exacerbating the problem but equally important is the diminishing principle of personhood of women in England.
A 21st birthday party was disrupted by ‘Asians’ (Brit speak for Muslims) wielding machetes. Birthday parties are haram (forbidden) in Islam.

A TWENTY FIRST birthday party at Nelson Cricket Club ended in three people needing hospital treatment after a group of uninvited men of Asian-heritage appearance turned up with weapons.
Two men were arrested and later released on police bail following the disturbance at the Seedhill club at 11 p.m. on Friday. Snooker cues were recovered by police and witnesses reported seeing a machete at the scene.
One man from the 100-guest party sustained nasty cuts to the head that required stitches, another had a suspected broken hand and a third suffered bruising.

There have been many stories about Islamic indoctrination of school kids across Europe. Of course we tend to notice the ones that meet two conditions. 1. the story is in English, so we mostly see stuff about English speaking nations and 2. stories where the mass media is actually allowed to publish. This piece is no exception so of course its a fluff bit making it look charming and like a field trip to some National Geographic cultural zoo. I dare these schools who send kids to Mosques to be Islamasized bring an adult or two to ask the important question about the faith and its customs instead of throwing candy at them.

This article deserves the few minutes it will take to read. Excerpts from Islamic historians detailing the conquest of the Indian and Buddhist Hindu subcontinent. Europe is frantically re writing school text books to make islam appear benign even as it seeks to force as much of it under an oppresive Sharia law as it can.

Demystification of the Islamic Rule in India, Part I

A lot has been said about the peace and prosperity that was abound in India during the Islamic Rule. Even British historians in their zeal to win over Muslims as their allies distorted the true history of the Indian subcontinent under Muslim rule. Apparently most Islamic nations including the breakaway nations of Pakistan and Bangladesh report a distorted version of Indian history under the Muslim rule. In this fabricated version of Islamic History India every attempt has been made by Muslim to portray Muslim rulers as great Secularist, which is an oxymoron in itself, compared to the native Indian kings who are portrayed as Cowards and incestuous rulers.
Wole Soyinka, African Nobel Laureate, while delivering the 20th Nehru Memorial Lecture on November 13, 1988, made an important, though by no means a new, observation that the colonial histories have been written from the European viewpoint. Speaking about Indian histories, he said that there is a big question mark on everything that the British historians have written. He added that serious efforts are being made by historians back home to rewrite African history. Perhaps the time has come to rewrite the true Indian history but by historians of the subcontinent. Thanks to the attitude of Indian politicians and leftist historians, who dominate the scene, no effort has been made to unearth the true history is Islamic rule. Even the mere mention of the excess committed by Muslims on the natives is considered as non-Kosher. However thanks to Internet Forums such as FFI and Islam-Watch, the truth can finally be told and it is the truth that will eventually set us free. The barbarities of Muslim rulers cover no bounds. The Islamic rule in India covers large number of topics and a span of almost 700 years. It is not possible to cover all of these in one article. I will, therefore, break up my presentation into a series of articles which will cover various topics.
It is common knowledge that, if you want to break a people, all you have to do is to attack their belief system. This was precisely the objective of Muslim rulers who came to India. The best way to undermine the Hindus and Buddhists in their own country was to destroy their Temples and Viharas and this is exactly what the Muslim rulers did.
