(Reuters) – Muslim parents, students and civic groups are campaigning to add two of their religious holidays to the New York City public school calendar, pinning their hopes on state lawmakers after failing to win over Mayor Michael Bloomberg to the idea.
Putting Eid Ul-Fitr, a holiday marking the end of Ramadan, and Eid Ul-Adha, celebrating the end of the hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, on the list of official school holidays will help ease suspicion and reduce anti-Muslim sentiment nearly a decade after the September 11 attacks, they say.

Globe & Mail publishes 14 page doc on the Asqa Parvez murder
This is extraordinary. The Parvez family loathed the Kuffar. For Kuffar, read Canadians. The had 8 kids of which Asqa was the youngest at 16 when she was murdered. They were all born in Pakistan, and the other Parvez children are married to 1st cousins from Pakistan. Yes all 7 of them. Asqa was also set up for a forced marriage. She declined. She was killed.
All of her sisters wear the Hijab or whatever, and Asqa refused.
All of her siblings with the exception of two, were home in their respective bedrooms during the murder. Their respective children were also at the dwelling. This would be something like 15 people in the home during the murder by strangulation. Each was in a bedroom and ‘heard nothing’.
She had friends which were not Muslims, which enraged her father. He also threatened to send her to an Islamic school as I suspect, the public school in which she attended was not ‘suitable’. He was upset Asqa rejected the hijab and was further annoyed his daughter sought a part-time job. None of his other daughters worked and were entirely dependent upon their husbands. After her death he phoned 911 and confessed to the murder. When police arrived at the scene, his arms were covered in blood.
For the first time in her life she went to the movies 3 days before she was murdered. Some of those who went with her, were infidels. For infidels, read Canadians.

Remember CAIR’s successful effort last week to force the removal of “Islamophobic” ads from Miami municipal buses? Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller, working through the Freedom Defense Initiative, placed the ads on the buses to inform Muslims (and any other Americans) that they have the right of religious freedom in this country. The ads included a URL for a Muslim apostates’ site.
It looked like CAIR had chalked up another victory, intimidating anyone who attempts to criticize Islam in public. But David Yerushalmi has turned the tables: his law firm, working with the Thomas More Law Center, forced Miami-Dade County to back down and reinstate the ads.
This is a significant victory for sharia opponents over the most prominent Muslim Brotherhood front group in the United States — which, incidentally, was also an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial. As David Yerushalmi says, “CAIR is a criminal organization with ties to Hamas and other jihadists. This is not my opinion but the considered view of the U.S. Attorney’s office, the FBI, and the federal courts, all based on evidence CAIR has never refuted.”

Case Demonstrates that CAIR is a Fraudulent Civil Rights Organization Lobbying on behalf of the OIC
April 21, 2010—Miami, Florida: When the South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) pressured the Miami-Dade Country Transit Authority to yank bus panel ads contracted and paid for by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer of the Freedom Defense Initiative because the ads were “offensive to Muslims”, the two activists turned to the Law Offices of David Yerushalmi, P.C. for help. Mr. Yerushalmi joined forces with the Thomas More Law Center and the two law firms began preparing a federal complaint alleging breach of contract and violation of Ms. Geller’s and Mr. Spencer’s First Amendment Rights.
The bus ad, which appears above, began running on Tuesday, April 13th. Just two days later, on Thursday, after pressure from CAIR, the bus ads had already been pulled down and Mr. Yerushalmi’s clients received notice of the ad contract termination through media reports on Friday.
CAIR, as it typically does, issued nationwide press releases and blasted emails to tens of thousands of outlets on Friday crowing over its “victory” of suppressing free speech on the grounds that the ads promoted “bigotry”. Newspaper and other media stories in the Miami Herald, the Orlando Sentinel, Fox Business News, and NBC ran blindly with the CAIR-generated story on Friday with headlines like: “Miami-Dade Transit Throws Islamic Ad Under the Bus.”
Ironically, CAIR, which has been named by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI as a Muslim Brotherhood-Hamas front group and unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror fund raising trial—a trial which culminated in guilty verdicts for all of the Muslim Brotherhood defendants—claims it is “the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization.” Continue Reading →
CAIR scores. freedom of speech loses.
The Irony is sick. If anything CAIR said in this article was true, then they would not have felt the need to have these adds pulled. They would instead say, ‘Yes, there are some people who misinterpret Islam based on tribal rules and those people should have a place to go or call if such a threat is issued’. What are the chances of hearing that from CAIR?
No, they out and out lied about Islam while simultaneously proving the truth of these adds. If you want to even talk about leaving Islam, large, well funded and influential groups will stop you.
Miami-Dade Transit to remove `offensive’ Islamic bus ads

Miami-Dade Transit is pulling advertisements from 10 buses that South Florida Muslims have said are offensive to Islam.
The ads, which went up Tuesday, said “Fatwa on your head? Is your community or family threatening you?” and directed Muslims to a website encouraging them to leave Islam.
Robert Spencer, associate director of New York-based Stop the Islamization of America, which purchased the ads for one-month as the first leg of a national campaign, said they were “offered in defense of religious liberty.”
But on Thursday, Miami-Dade Transit spokeswoman Karla Damian said that after reviewing the ads, the department decided they “may be offensive to Islam” and would remove them before the buses ran on Friday.
Damian said the ads were able to initially go up because Miami-Dade Transit has an outside company sell ad space and does not routinely review ads before they run.
The South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations had critiqued the ads as promoting “bigotry” and making false statements about Islam.
“Islam guarantees freedom to and freedom from religion. . . . [We] reject as un-Islamic any extremist interpretation that sanctions the killing of any individual because she decided to `leave Islam,” said director Muhammed Malik.

Canadian takes on Islamist movement

Point de bascule, or the tipping point, is a Montreal-based French language webmagazine. It is dedicated to explore and expose Islamist activities in our midst, particularly in Quebec.
Point de bascule is the creation of Marc Lebuis, a remarkable French-Canadian with a passionate interest in global affairs and adeep concern about the dangers of Islamism to his country.
Last Thursday, Point de bascule held a press conference open to the mainstream media and public to discuss the latest lecture tour of Tariq Ramadan in Montreal and Ottawa sponsored by Islamist organizations, such as the various chapters of the Muslim Association of Canada, for fundraising purposes.
In making full disclosure here, I was invited by Marc Lebuis to join four other individuals in exploring the ramifications for us of the transnational political movement that Tariq Ramadan represents, and how Quebec is exceedingly vulnerable in the systematic penetration of Canada by Islamists.
Joining me were Tarek Fatah, the well-known author and journalist from Toronto, and Ariless Bouktit, a Canadian of Algerian origin. By webcast Zuhdi Jasser from the U.S. and Naser Khader from Denmark joined us in Montreal.

March 17, 2010: WASHINGTON, DC – The Center for Security Policy announces the launch of the website CAIR Observatory at www.cairobservatory.org.
The website presents comprehensive open-source evidence and analysis alleging that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has acted as a foreign agent on behalf of Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) requires any agent of a foreign principal – including agents of foreign states, political parties, corporations, non-governmental organizations and even individuals – to register with the U.S. Department of Justice as a foreign agent.
The centerpiece of the website is the report “CAIR and the Foreign Agents Registration Act,” which details the foreign funding, foreign direction and domestic political influence operations of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the United States.
The report documents these CAIR activities as a foreign agent:
• CAIR received at least $2,192,203 in Contributions, Income and Money from foreign principals in the form of 10 distinct transactionsReceived a $2,106,251 mortgage loan from a foreign principal for their Washington, D.C. headquarters
• CAIR secured the promise of at least $54,500,000 in pledges from foreign principals
• CAIR met and coordinated with foreign principals on at least 30 occasions
• CAIR engaged in at least 50 political influence operations on behalf of foreign principals in the United States
The Center has additional evidence that cannot be made public at this time documenting an additional $2.4 million in foreign donations and loans given to CAIR since 2000.
The goal of the “CAIR Observatory” (http://www.cairobservatory.org/) is to build a model for researching and compiling evidence of illegal behavior by Muslim Brotherhood front organizations, with a focus on organizations operating in the United States as unregistered foreign agents for the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and its member states.
The website’s name– “CAIR Observatory”– is a direct counter to the so-called “Islamophobia Observatory” maintained by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). The Jeddah, Saudi Arabia-based OIC has been a contributor to CAIR, and the two have a history of coordinated meetings, methodologies and goals. The website will be updated regularly with new evidence on CAIR’s ongoing activities as a currently unregistered foreign agent.
The Center for Security Policy is a non-profit, non-partisan national security organization that specializes in identifying policies, actions, and resource needs that are vital to American security and then ensures that such issues are the subject of both focused, principled examination and effective action by recognized policy experts, appropriate officials, opinion leaders, and the general public.
Group urges Muslims to avoid body scans
An Islamic group is telling travellers to U.S. to opt for pat-downs instead
CBCNEWS… An Islamic group is urging Muslim travellers to choose to be patted down by airport security rather than go through airport body scanners, a practice that it says violate religious and privacy rights. Someone needs to tell the Muslims that being able to board a plane is not a right.
The Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) said the scanners, which produce a three-dimensional outline of a person’s naked body, are “against the teachings of Islam, natural law and all religions and cultures that stand for decency and modesty.” The Saudi butt bomb presents a different picture of Islamic decency and modesty.
“It is a violation of clear Islamic teachings that men or women be seen naked by other men and women,” the group said in a statement last week.
“The Qur’an has commanded the believers, both men and women, to cover their private parts. Human beings are urged to be modest in their dress,” the group said. And Muslims are urged not to cover their private parts with bombs.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations also issued a statement of support of the FCNA’s recommendation.

Muslim group’s response to Christmas Day terrorist Abdulmutallab
CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations prides itself on representing the voice of moderate Islam in the United States. The highly influential group relays a position of zero tolerance for Islamic extremism. Below is a portion of CAIR’s generic, passionless denunciation of terrorism:
‘The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has consistently and persistently condemned terrorism and the killing of innocent civilians. CAIR has also organized fatwas, petition drives, placed advertisements in national and local newspapers, ran public service announcements on television and radio stations, helped local Mosques across the United States in holding open houses, published Op-Eds in local and national newspapers, conducted inter-faith meetings and worked with scholars to disseminate the peaceful teachings of Islam’.
So, where is their denunciation of Christmas Day terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab?
There isn’t one. Perhaps in the spirit of understanding and tolerance, we could excuse the glaring omission simply because they are bogged down with other, more weighty Muslim outrages to focus on rather than such a petty incident in comparison. Take for example, that CAIR-Chicago has asked CitiBank to apologize to a Muslim woman who was ‘humiliated’ after a bank employee allegedly verbally abused her because she was wearing a hijab. Or, that a group of Muslims in San Diego were ‘upset’ and ‘insulted’ after attending an international Church Christmas party which featured a magic show and a visiting pastor, an Egyptian convert from Islam to Christianity who railed against sharia.
Or maybe their time is better spent blaming Hollywood for stereotyping Muslims and Arabs in a bad light. Of course negative opinion associated to radical Islam could never be blamed on factual daily acts of violence and murder around the globe. It is not the vile ideologies of al-Qaeda or the Taliban, or other extremist groups that are responsible, but the sinister agenda of Tinseltown. True Lies, Executive Decision, the cartoon Aladdin and other ‘negative portrayals of Muslims and Arabs in cinema’ are to blame for the coloured public perception setting off more Muslim selective outrage.
It is now understood and has been confirmed by authorities, that Abdulmutallab has a London connection. Predictably, no official statement of denunciation has been issued by Islam4uk, the radical group in England headed by Anjem Choudary. Yet, Britain gives this hate-filled ‘cleric’ full attention and street space to speak out vehemently and repeatedly against western values. There is not a peep from Choudary or from those who support his ‘moderate’ spiritual campaign, as they too have busied themselves with other, more demanding Islamic projects such as denouncing the three harmful ‘idols’ confronting Muslims in the western world: democracy, secularism and freedom.
For CAIR to obsess on obscure ‘anti-Muslim’ instances, citing hurt feelings and insults as societal atrocities in place of denouncing acts of terrorism and daily violence against innocents in the name of Islam is nothing short of absolute indifference to real suffering; it also reveals an unparalleled arrogance and self-centeredness within CAIR’s selective agenda. I for one, have come to understand fully that it is not just what some North American Muslim organizations do say which reveals the truth, but what they fail to say.

This mans book is actually changing US government policy with groups like CAIR. Well worth the time to listen to. This is just audio and shows the same image the whole time. Expect to hear very real fall out from the highest places in Government as a consequence of this man’s investigation and book. A documentary would not surprise me at all.

What’s Missing in the CAIR Lawsuit?
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has a message for the authors of a new book alleging a host of secret and nefarious activities by the group: We’ll see you in court!
CAIR filed a lawsuit in D.C. federal court Friday against David and Chris Gaubatz, the father-and-son investigative team behind the book Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America. In the book, Chris Gaubatz acknowledges securing an internship at CAIR’s headquarters in 2008 by posing as a Muslim and using an assumed name. Once inside, he took more than 12,000 documents and secretly recorded 300 hours of video, including private conversations with CAIR officials.
Citing those records, the book reports that CAIR officials grossly exaggerate their membership rolls and the depth of their domestic financial support. In addition, they actively thwart law enforcement counter-terror investigations. Following the release of the book, four congressional Republicans sought an investigation into the book’s claims that CAIR seeks to place interns on committees dealing with the judiciary and homeland security.
To this last point, CAIR officials have ridiculed the book’s findings in an attempt to minimize them, and attacked the author’s motives. Suspiciously absent from CAIR’s public shouting fest has been any claim of any falsehood in Muslim Mafia, and there’s no indication CAIR issued a demand letter seeking any retractions.
The suit makes no charge of defamation or libel, instead alleging breach of contract, trespassing, and hacking CAIR computers. Politico reports that CAIR also wants a restraining order blocking the authors from using the internal CAIR documents the younger Gaubatz acknowledges taking during an internship there under an assumed name.
CAIR, rarely shy in promoting itself and its actions, is oddly quiet about the litigation, Politico notes.
Even if they should prevail on the merits of their lawsuit, CAIR officials – via their silence – vouch for the book’s accuracy. It’s not exactly blurb material for the paperback, but it still speaks volumes.

This Saturday, the Council on American Islamic Relations will hold its 15th Annual fundraiser in Arlington, Virginia. Last year, our investigative teams went undercover to the November 23, 2008 CAIR 14th Annual Banquet fundraiser, and secretly videotaped the proceedings. They were there to videotape the moment when Nihad Awad, Executive Director of CAIR, was served court papers for a civil suit for fraud, now on appeal. But to their surprise, our team discovered that six of the tables at the fundraiser were identified with signs for foreign embassies officially attending the event: the embassies of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. Those same embassies were listed in the CAIR 14th Annual Banquet’s printed program (see below) in a section titled “Thanks To: ” on page 20, which appears to give credit to supporters for the fundraiser.
