I have been quite busy and still am, trying to improve the audio and editing the Ayaan Hirsi Ali speech from Denmark Sept. 18 2010 so I have not been able to post as many stories as I would have liked to, not to mention the number of stories that actually need the attention. Here is a set of links that has crossed my desk in the past few days. By the way, congratulations to the SD party in Sweden that met and exceeded their expectations with something like 20 new members of the Swedish Parliament and especially congratulations to Kent Eckeroth, someone who Vlad has been subtitling speeches for, and promoting for quite a while now. Sweden is lucky to have him.

Here is an audio-only interview with a man who wrote a book explaining how Obama has flagrantly violated his constitutionally limited powers in a variety of ways. He does not advocate impeachment and is not an extremist in any way but does detail how Obama is limiting individual liberties in the US and transforming America as he promised he would, but in ways he simply is not allowed legally to do.

Creeping Sharia has already extended to the dietary practices of British dhimmis, who are involuntarily consuming meats ritually slaughtered and prayed over in good Islamic practice.

Although this Daily Mail investigation of the stealth Islamization of the British meat industry is largely fixated on the “animal cruelty” aspect of the story, the findings provide another disturbing example of Britain’s steady Islamization, as evidenced by its “stealth halal-ization”:

Here is one of my favourite examples of selective tiflosis. Israelis are frequently called racist for not allowing themselves to be subjected to sharia law and destroying themselves as a state, while the PA affirms the death penalty for selling land to Jews. To be clear, if a Muslim Arab sells property to a Jewish person or an Israeli in the west bank, he will be killed for this crime. PA has affirmed it. Yet oddly, this is not racist and does not seem to catch the attention of the west’s secular left. As Mr. Spock was wont to say, ‘facinating’.

PA affirms death penalty for land sales to Israelis

The PA says the land law is necessary to prevent the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Authority on Sunday reaffirmed the death penalty for any Palestinian found guilty of selling land to Israelis.

The decision came in response to a ruling by a Palestinian court according to which such acts were only a “minor offense.”

A Mail on Sunday investigation – which will alarm anyone concerned about animal cruelty – has revealed that schools, hospitals, pubs and famous sporting venues such as Ascot and Twickenham are controversially serving up meat slaughtered in accordance with strict Islamic law to unwitting members of the public.

All the beef, chicken and lamb sold to fans at Wembley has secretly been prepared in accordance with sharia law, while Cheltenham College, which boasts of its ‘strong Christian ethos’, is one of several top public schools which also serves halal chicken to pupils without informing them.

Even Britain’s biggest hotel and restaurant group Whitbread, which owns the Beefeater and Brewers Fayre chains, among many others, has admitted that more than three-quarters of its poultry is halal.

Animal welfare campaigners have long called for a ban on the traditional Islamic way of preparing meat – which involves killing animals by drawing a knife across their throats, without stunning them first – saying it is cruel and causes unnecessary pain.

Sharia law expressly forbids knocking the animal out with a bolt gun, as is usual in British slaughter­houses. Instead, it must be sentient when its throat is cut, and the blood allowed to drip from the carcass while a religious phrase in praise of Allah is recited.

The extent of halal meat consumption, even in areas of Britain with a very small Muslim population, was revealed as the Pope, on his first visit to Britain, expressed fears that the country was not doing enough to preserve traditional Christian values and customs.

In a strongly worded speech to Parliament, he said: ‘There are those who argue that the public celebration of festivals such as Christmas should be discouraged, in the questionable belief that it might somehow offend those of other religions or none.’

But it is animal rights groups which have been most vociferous in their opposition to halal slaughter. Campaign organisation Viva!, whose supporters include Heather Mills and Joanna Lumley, said in a statement: ‘Other practices which may be undertaken for religious reasons, such as polygamy or the stoning of adulterers, are not permitted in the UK.

‘Religious freedom does not override other moral considerations and the suffering caused by this form of slaughter is so severe that it cannot be allowed to prevent action to be taken. Consumers can do their bit by boycotting places that persist in selling meat from unstunned animals.’

An RSPCA spokesman added: ‘The public have a right to know how their meat is produced. Many people are extremely concerned about animal welfare. More arrests for ‘hate crimes’ in the UK

Things are clearly heating up. Authorities are so afraid of the inevitable backlash that Orwellian policies of thought control are creating, they are arresting people for burning certain books, even if those books are the legal property of the person burning them. The point is made in this article that no one is being arrested for burning the sacred texts of other religions but only burning Islamic texts. For me that isnt the point. If people were being arrested for burning Darwin’s Origin of Species, I would be out burning copies of it in the street even though I agree with every word of it and think it is one of the most important books ever written.

The point is, we must never, in a free society, allow any group amongst us or elsewhere, determine what we must respect or hold sacred. We give the right to all people to choose for themselves what they may hold sacred and that itself is a rare and truly precious right. But it must not be confused with allowing people to force others to hold those same things sacred through thuggery or law or any other means.

This must be understood and now or we are lost.

Today we have learned that police have arrested two men under the Racial and Religious Hatred Act. Their crime? To burn a copy of the Quran.

The Quran is the ‘Bible’ of the Islamic faith. It contains the Muslims’ holy scriptures and is regarded as the literal word of God. Muslims treat the Quran with respect that borders on reverence. They are taught only to hold the Quran with a certain hand, and will often use a book-stand to read it from so as not to touch it. Although Christians will happily write in their Bibles, make notes and underline important teachings, Muslims would be horrified if anyone was to do that to a Quran.

On the surface it is easy to regard the burning of a Quran as a religious, or even, racial hate crime. But is it? Does burning a Quran demonstrate a true hatred of the whole Muslim population?

Some would suggest it does. But would the same be true if we were speaking of the holy scriptures of a different religion? Other religious books are burned around the world on a regular basis. Bibles, for instance, are burned or at least confiscated every day in the Islamic world. What’s more, their owners are routinely discriminated against, arrested, and even tortured and imprisoned.

It is not difficult to see how the burining of a Quran could cause offence. But surely that could be true of any book, to a greater or lesser extent? Why is it so important that we acknowledge the status of Muslims as victims? Why are we so happy to condemn those who would burn a copy of the Quran, but appear less interested when a Bible or a Torah is burnt to ashes?

These questions are all the more difficult to answer when you consider that the Islamic world is probably the worst offender when it comes to religious intolerance. Continue Reading →

“Justice Must Not Be Made the Handmaiden of Sharia”

We have reported previously on the pending “hate speech” case against our Austrian correspondent Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff. The most recent post featured a CBN news report about her (links to the earlier articles are at the bottom of this post).

For the last ten months Ms. Sabaditsch-Wolff has had the possibility of a formal charge hanging over her head, based on what she said last November in a seminar she gave about Islam. She has been waiting for the other shoe to drop, and now it seems that the red patent-leather stiletto heel of Austrian “justice” has finally thumped against the floor.

EUSSRThe travesty of the matter is that Ms. Sabaditsch-Wolff did not learn of the charge filed against her through a court document.

She received no official summons.

It was not communicated through her lawyer.

No, that’s not the way they do things in modern multicultural Austria. As is typical of the corrupt soft-totalitarian state known as the “European Union”, she learned of the official charge via the Austrian media.

Here’s what she told me in an email:

I just had a long talk with my legal representation. This is a huge judicial scandal. My lawyer has tried to get the documents detailing my case and the charges. In vain. the public prosecutor cited “computer problems”, the clerks said there is a note in my case that nothing is to be made public (wonder why the media knew about it then), and he was shoved from clerk to clerk, getting nothing. So far we know that I will be tried, but nothing else.

I have nothing whatsoever in my hands. I cannot defend myself at the moment because neither my lawyer nor I know the precise charges.

It makes me wonder about our judicial system. It is outrageous that the media in both Germany and Austria knew about this before the accused. Continue Reading →

Another Cartoonist in Hiding After Death Threats

A cartoonist in Seattle who promoted an “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day” last spring is now in hiding after her life was threatened by Islamic extremists.

The cartoonist, Molly Norris, has changed her name and has stopped producing work for a local alternative newspaper, Seattle Weekly, according to the newspaper’s editor, Mark D. Fefer.

Mr. Fefer declined an interview request Thursday, citing “the sensitivity of the situation.” But in a letter to readers about Ms. Norris on Wednesday, he said that “on the insistence of top security specialists at the F.B.I., she is, as they put it, ‘going ghost’: moving, changing her name, and essentially wiping away her identity.”

The F.B.I. declined to comment on the case.

Ms. Norris attracted attention after she published a poster on the Internet in April satirically proposing that people draw figures of the Prophet Muhammad on May 20.

She indicated that the proposal was a protest of censorship by Comedy Central, which edited out references to Muhammad from an episode of “South Park” that month. That episode also triggered threats from extremists. Islam forbids depictions of the Prophet Muhammad.

In 2005, a Dutch cartoonist named Kurt Westergaard published a depiction of Muhammad that led to multiple death threats and alleged assassination attempts. He was presented an award this month for freedom of speech by Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany. Continue Reading →

A Christian Worshipper Stabbed and A Minister Beaten in Indonesia

In Indonesia, a Christian worshipper was stabbed in the stomach and a minister was beaten with a wooden plank on the head.

Asia Sihombing, a worshipper was entering the church when the assailants jumped off a motorcycle and stabbed him on the stomach.

The Rev. Luspida Simahuntak came out from the church with an intention to help the victim but her head was smashed with a wooden plank.

Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country with a population of about 237 million. The country has the highest number of Muslims than any other country in the world.

Indonesia is considered a secular country and claims to have religious tolerance.

A group called Islamic Defenders Front is trying to implement Islamic Law and they are known for persecuting non-Muslims.

This group often harasses the church members. They throw shoes and water bottles towards the church members, and interrupt sermon by chanting, “Infidels!” and “Leave Now!” The even dump feces in the church area.

The Islamic group denied any involvement in the attack but the police said they already have identified the attacker and planning to arrest the perpetrator.

Interestingly, the attacker was not arrested immediately and the police declared they would capture the perpetrator today, which may give the attacker enough time to escape.

India: 11 Killed In Protests In Kashmir

At least 11 people were killed Sept. 13 during Koran demonstrations and anti-government protests across Indian Kashmir, according to police officials, Reuters reported. The incident marks the largest single death toll from protests in Kashmir in years, the police said. Seven people were killed when police fired on a group of Muslim protesters denouncing reports of Koran burning in the United States.

More than 10,000 demonstrators on Sept. 11 denounced now-suspended plans by an American pastor to burn copies of the Koran, the Los Angeles Times reported. The protest, which took place in Logar province, south of the Afghan capital, Kabul, was initially peaceful but erupted into violence when some protesters set shops ablaze and tried to storm the governor’s compound. At least three people were injured in clashes between protesters and security forces.

What do Stephen Harper, Barack Obama, Gen. David Petraeus, Canadian Defence Minister Peter MacKay and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have in common?

They each need to get a grip on themselves the next time they want to whack a wacky pastor. Each sacrificed valuable resources to condemn and plead with once-aspiring Koran-griller, Florida Pastor Terry Jones, a bizarre fourth-string in the evangelical band. Congregation size: 50, on an inflationary day.

Yes, by now all agree: a nutty fringe leader was compromising social cohesion, foreign relations and military security with grotesquely silly, gratuitous and hurtful plans for a Koranic cook-off.

But this portrayal missed key considerations. In the extent and scope of their criticism of Jones’ aims, senior U.S. officials, including Clinton and Gen. Petraeus, exceeded their constitutional remit in ways that could undermine future security and liberal-democratic ways. The same can be said of Harper and his defence minister.

Their warnings and beseechings raised immeasurably the stakes in this matter. Politicians risked the possibility that a government failure to apparently force Jones to stop — a constitutional impossibility, in any event — would produce more blowback than ever. Now that this pressure has forced Jones to climb down on his own, liberal-democracy’s enemies at home and abroad will be emboldened. The outcome doubtless confirms their doctrinal belief in a soft West that is vulnerable to ever-increasing levels of terrorism and stealth-jihadic demands for endlessly-Islamizing “accommodation.” Continue Reading →

DETROIT, MI–The Law Offices of Debbie Schlussel, a Detroit-area law firm, today, announced the filing of a federal lawsuit against Imad Fadlallah, the Muslim man who was, until July, the principal of Dearborn’s Fordson High School, a tax-funded public high school, the student body of which is overwhelmingly Muslim (more than 90%). The suit is also against Fadlallah’s employer at all times relevant to the actions referred to in the suit, the Dearborn Public Schools, which, as noted in the complaint, was aware of the behavior alleged in the suit.  As stated in the lawsuit, the action filed by Schlussel’s clients, Bryan Purcell and Georgene Stergalas, concerns the continued harassment of them by Fadlallah and other school personnel because they are Christian and not Muslim or of Arabic heritage.  The suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

ANOTHER UPPITY DHIMMI RUNS AFOUL OF ISLAMIC SUPREMACISM IN INDONESIA AGAIN…….

How dare a dhimmi question a Muslim. People intending to live in a Muslim country but are not acquainted with Islam, better think again. Remember folks, Indonesia is one of the often sited examples of a “moderate Muslim country”, and yet a Westerner who asks what kind of Muslims he’s dealing with, has to run for his life and then arrested by the police to in jail for his troubles.

Islam is a supremacist ideology and saying so, in spite of being called “insensitive” or an “Islamophobe”, is an act of common sense and a public service. That’s why Koran burning is a must, these Muslims believe that no one can dare criticize Islam or Muslims, especially the non-Muslim, like these two individuals in the article. Next time you hear something about a Koran burning, think about these two Westerners sitting in jail for insulting Islam and Muslims just because they had enough and spoke their minds. KGS

A Second Villa Trashed in Lombok after Alleged Insult to Islam

Lombok. A second foreigner residing on Lombok Island in Indonesia has found himself the object of local wrath for allegedly defiling Islam during the fasting month of Ramadan.
Locals from Sidemen village on Lombok’s main tourism area of Senggigi told the Jakarta Globe on Tuesday that hundreds of residents had attacked and wrecked a villa belonging to a German national and torched his motorcycle for blaspheming Islam.
Police identified the man as Stephen Alexander, 35, also known as Abu-Can Peter.
Mustan, a local, said Alexander discovered that a vandal had decapitated one of the statues in front of his villa on Monday evening and took the severed head to the home of village chief Amalsah.
“He came carrying the statue head and got angry at the village chief, accusing the villagers of damaging his statues.”
Alexander threatened to report the vandalism to the police if Amalsah could not find the vandal within two weeks, Mustan said.
He said villagers had just finished tarawih (evening prayers during Ramadan) and were insulted when Alexander demanded to know, “What kind of Muslims we were?”
“His words were deeply hurtful.”
As Alexander fled for the forest, the enraged villagers trashed the resident’s villa and burned his motorcycle.
Alexander, who has lived in the Lombok for ten years and is married to an Indonesian, only emerged from the forest when police arrived. They promptly arrested the expatriate and are holding him in protective custody at Senggigi Police headquarters.
Luke Gregory Lloyd, 64, meanwhile, is facing the prospect of six years in jail after he was charged with blaspheming Islam and immigration violations after disrupting a late-night Koran recital in a mosque near his house in Kuta, Lombok, on Aug. 22.
Police allege the American expatriate barged into the prayer session with his shoes on, unplugged a microphone and may have even assaulted one of the worshippers.
Lloyd, whose home was also trashed, denies the charges.
