Saudi woman beheaded for practising ‘sorcery’

Riyadh:  A Saudi woman was beheaded on Monday after being convicted of practising sorcery, which is banned in the ultra-conservative kingdom, the interior ministry said.

Amina bin Abdulhalim Nassar was executed in the northern province of Jawf for “practising witchcraft and sorcery,” the ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency.

It is not clear how many women have been executed in the desert-kingdom, but another woman was beheaded in October for killing her husband by setting his house on fire.

The beheading took to 73 the number of executions in Saudi Arabia this year.

In September, Amnesty International called on the Muslim kingdom where 140 people were on death row to establish an “immediate moratorium on executions.”

The rights group said Saudi Arabia was one of a minority of states which voted against a UN General Assembly resolution last December calling for a worldwide moratorium on executions.

Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia’s strict interpretation of Islamic sharia law.

Amnesty International says Saudi Arabia executed 27 convicts in 2010, compared to 67 executions announced the year before.

Cucumbers are forbidden for women, says Islamic sheikh.

CAIRO: An Islamic cleric residing in Europe said that women should not be close to bananas or cucumbers, in order to avoid any “sexual thoughts.”

The unnamed sheikh, who was featured in an article on el-Senousa news, was quoted saying that if women wish to eat these food items, a third party, preferably a male related to them such as their a father or husband, should cut the items into small pieces and serve. Continue Reading →

Repealing a ban on women drivers in Saudi Arabia would result in ‘no more virgins’, the country’s religious council has warned.

A ‘scientific’ report claims relaxing the ban would also see more Saudis – both men and women – turn to homosexuality and pornography.

The startling conclusions were drawn by Muslim scholars at the Majlis al-Ifta’ al-A’ala, Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, working in conjunction with Kamal Subhi, a former professor at the King Fahd University.

MILLERSBURG, Ohio (AP) — The leader of a breakaway Amish group allowed the beatings of those who disobeyed him, made some members sleep in a chicken coop and had sexual relations with married women to “cleanse them,” federal authorities said Wednesday as they charged him and six others with hate crimes in hair-cutting attacks against other Amish.

Authorities raided the group’s compound in eastern Ohio earlier in the day and arrested seven men, including group leader Sam Mullet and three of his sons.

Several members of the group carried out the attacks in September, October and November by forcibly cutting the beards and hair of Amish men and women and then taking photos of them, authorities said.

Cutting the hair is a highly offensive act to the Amish, who believe the Bible instructs women to let their hair grow long and men to grow beards and stop shaving once they marry. One victim told the FBI he would rather have been “beaten black and blue than to suffer the disfigurement and humiliation of having his hair removed,” according to court papers.

The attacks struck at the core of the Amish identity and tested their principles. They are pacifists and strongly believe that they must be forgiving in order for God to forgive them, which often means handing out their own punishment and not reporting crimes to law enforcement. Continue Reading →

Imam’s on-air death threat ‘not hate speech’

The biggest problem with thought-feeling-speech laws, is, has been, and always will be, the selective enforcement of them. Once you decide that it is illegal to say thing or feel a certain thing then it is guaranteed that the next decision will be what constitutes these things and, more importantly, what does not. Canada’s ‘Human Rights Commissions’ (hold your nose when you read that one) already proved it by prosecuting anyone who had a bad thing to say about a favored group based on the flimsiest reasoning or evidence and then quite overtly choosing not to prosecute a case of a Canadian imam who had violated the spirit and the letter of section XIII of Canada’s hate speech laws in every conceivable way and in every known form of mass communication.

Here we see the same reasoning and selective enforcement at work in Europe. In this bloggers opinion, the selective enforcement of law, is a cancer upon law itself.

It was not hate speech when Swedish public service broadcaster Sveriges Radio (SR) featured a programme in which a Somali imam called for all converts from Islam to be killed, the Swedish Chancellor of Justice (Justitiekanslern, JK) has ruled.

The motivation for the decision not to open up an investigation into the matter was that the presenter protested against what the imam said immediately following the controversial statement.

The decision said that ”the programme features opinions that could be taken as a threat aginst those who have converted from Islam”.

However, due to the responses from the presenter, the Chancellor has decided not to investigate the matter further.

The programme in question was a panel discussion and was broadcast live by SR International’s Somali service.

The initial police report was filed by Erik Johansson, at the Swedish Evangelical Mission (Evangeliska Fosterlands-Stiftelsen – EFS), after friends told him of the imam’s words underlining every Muslim’s responsibility to kill anyone who leaves Islam. Continue Reading →

France’s run-down city suburbs are becoming ‘separate Islamic societies’ cut off from the state, a report has warned.

Arab communities are increasingly rejecting French values and identity to immerse themselves in Muslim culture and lifestyle, it was found.

Muslim pupils often boycott school dinners if the food is not halal and most Arabs oppose marriages to white French citizens, the study by respected political scientist Gilles Kepel revealed.

As a result, France – whose five million Muslims make up Europe’s largest Islamic population – was turning into a ‘divided nation’, the study called ‘Suburbs of the Republic’ has found.

Mogadishu, 8 Sept. (AKI) – The English language in Somalia has been under threat by the Al-Qaeda linked militant group Al-Shabab, according to London based pan -Arab newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi.

Through intimidation Al-Shabab militants in control of the the southern Somali city of Chisimaio have banned the teaching of English in schools, ordering teachers to replaced it with Arabic – the language of the Koran.

“We were following a program used in Kenya, Sudan and Malaysia that uses only English in the classroom to prepare students to study in a foreign university,” said a teacher. “Now we can’t even teach and will have to replace our teachers that come from Kenya who can’t speak Arabic.”

Currently Chisimaio has six middle and high schools that teach classes in English, while elementary schools use Arabic, the report said.

Similarly, in recently days, radical Islamic groups in control of areas outside of the capital Mogadishu have ordered shopkeepers to substitute English signs with those in Arabic.

Al-Shabab has an alliance with Al-Qaeda and has not shied away from using terrorist tactics in its fight to control Somalia. In 2010 the group claimed responsibility for a suicide attack in Ugandan capital Kampala that killed around 75 people who gathered to watch the televised broadcast of the World Cup soccer finals.

Uganda leads a military coalition of African countries deployed in Somalia to keep the troubled country out of the hands of radical Islamic militants.

Somalia has been without an effective government for about 20 years.

A husband stabbed his wife to death with a camping knife because he thought she had been possessed by the devil.

Kashif Baig claimed he saw beams of light coming from her eyes and thought he would die if they touched him.

The 31-year-old from Crawley, West Sussex, launched a frenzied attack on Shehlah, 27, while they were being driven along the M25 by his father.

Mumtaz Baig tried to stop his son but was threatened with the knife and told to keep driving while his daughter-in-law bled to death from a severed artery.

Baig’s father managed to drive back to Crawley and raise the alarm just after 6pm on November 16 last year.

Police arrested Baig after finding Shehlah’s blood-soaked body slumped in the back of his father’s VW Passat.

Baig attacked the police when they went to arrest him, trying to strangle one officer and head-butting another.

He sobbed and rocked from side to side in the dock as he was detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act at Lewes Crown Court yesterday.

The 31-year-old had admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility at an earlier hearing. Continue Reading →

Jihad Watch explains how this is different than insulting Allah for some reason. I figure I’ll be OK though. After all, the serial rapist, pedophile, mass murdering, war mongering lying bastard Mohamed was no prophet whatever else he was. So insulting the son-of-a-bitch should be just fine with these asshats.

It should come as little surprise that Canadian Islamist groups are gushing with glee over the Toronto District School Board’s decision to play host to the illegal cafeteria-cum- mosque, it’s travelling Imam and the gender apartheid, Muslim menses ban set-up at Valley Park Middle School in Toronto. I especially love their references to the importance of human rights.

It appears the legal beagles over at the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association must have opted to appear for Friday prayer instead of attending the classes which directly reference sections 15 and 28 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guaranteeing equality and gender equality respectively. Ottawa: The absurd lengths that leftists will go to, in order to allow Muslims preferential treatment, and immunity from their own (leftists) laws

Here is an edited version of today’s AM radio talk show, the Lowell Green show. Lowell has been discussing the 14 or so area public schools that actually turn part of the public space, usually the cafeterias, into Mosques on fridays complete with an imam and lots of arse-lifting all around. Turns out this is utterly illegal however this isn’t the only revelation. The best one perhaps is near the end of this show, where it is revealed that (Caution plot spoiler. You may wish to hear it for yourself first) in order to get permission to build a church, you have to create X number if parking spots per seat. Well the brand new Mosque being built in Ottawa’s east end is exempt from this bylaw. All the Muslims who go to use this facility will enjoy using the grocery store parking across the road from it. The exact reason that the legislation to ensure sufficient parking at churches was created. Why you ask? Why are mosques exempt from the so-many-spots-per-seat rule that city council is so strict about when it comes to any other faith use building?

Naw. You wouldn’t believe me. You will have to just listen for yourself. Put this in the ‘bad-fiction’ category. Cause if someone made this up, it wouldn’t be believable enough to make for decent writing. The punch line for this is at 41 minutes of this version.

Also you may enjoy the hypocritical leftist near the end that explains why we have to respect Kim Jung Il as a religious leader as that is their culture and we have to accept it. Of course, I’m fairly confident if you were to ask the same fellow if we have to accept current or past American culture as that is who they were, you would get a different answer.

Regarding the excellent work over at Blazing Cat Fur: An Important Addition to the Mosqueteria Story, commenter Richard writes “ If the past decade were written in a novel no one would buy it since it’s too unbelievable”.

He’s right. But as I have discovered, this latest chapter in the Islamist best selling novel Establishing Primacy in Dar Al Harb must be bought as required reading, unbelievable as it is.

Today the Toronto Sun has published another article on the Valley Park Middle School make-shift mosque on Friday’s story. Muslim leader Alimamy Bangura, executive director of the Muslim Education Network insists that public schools have an obligation to ensure students can practice their faith. The schools may be secular he says, but the children who go to these schools are not. He continues ” the Valley Park Middle School’s weekly prayer sessions for Islamic students falls within Toronto District School Board guidelines” and refers to these guidelines which specify the need to “take responsible steps to provide accommodation to individual members of a religious group”. One question though. I wonder how they proposed to find out which women/girls were on their menses? I know Muslims don’t like dogs.

(ANSAmed) – ROME – Black magic and African shamans are the latest weapon that Gaddafi has made recourse to in order to extend the life of his regime. Shamans and witches from Mali, Mauritania, Gambia, Morocco and Nigeria have the main task of repelling the rebels, who are moving in ever closer to his stronghold in Tripoli. Gaddafi has urged the most famous shamans to help him defeat the rebels, according to the colonel and pilot Saleh Al Ubaidi, who has recently gone over to the side of the rebels and who was quoted by the daily paper Asharq Al Awsat. The pilot said that the shamans send their ”priests” onto the battle field with magic talismans in the hope of preserving soldiers’ loyalty. ”After the February 17 revolution, shamans – claims Saleh Al Ubaidi – have been used by Colonel Gaddafi as a parallel intelligence agency.” Quoting a source very close to Gaddafi, the pilot said that the leader had requested help from a Gambian shaman, and the latter recited the text of a talisman over Gaddafi’s mantle to protect him from NATO and rebel attacks. Al Ubaidi added that Gaddafi always wears this mantle, even when in high temperatures. He went on to say that the leader also never takes off a silver ring made with the brains and bones of a hyena, which shamans believe has special powers. The ring was a gift to the Colonel from a Mauritanian shaman to instill fear and terror with whoever speaks to him. At the beginning of the February revolution, Libyan state TV had as a guest a Libyan witch doctor who threatened NATO, telling the leader that the righteous and jinns (supernatural creatures often of an evil nature) are fighting along his side. As the Toronto Star makes a brief mention of the Journey of Faith conference in Toronto this weekend, Xtra!, Canada’s gay and lesbian news offers a more in depth look into the organizations promotion of ” the understanding of Islam through the Revelations and the Prophetic Traditions.

While hundreds of thousands will be celebrating Pride this weekend, down the street the Metro Toronto Convention Centre an Ontario Crown Corporation, will play host to the popular, annual religious conference. Last year’s Journey of Faith conference saw over 10,000 Muslims and a scattering of non-muslims in attendance, all eager to take in themany speeches of renowned Islamic scholars from around the world.
