The above link shows very well how opportunistic leftist bias is in mass media, especially government controlled media such as the BBC or CBC. Robert defends himself very well where really, no defense should have been required at all.

The same BBC, and the CBC has similar if not identical policies, well carefully select out Islamic influence in the constant stream of Muslim atrocities well supported both by Islamic scripture as well as Islamic organizations who quote the Koran and other central dogma of Islam as their motive and inspiration and even more. their very instruction for these murders and acts of mass slaughter. Yet the BBC feels it necessary to accuse Spencer of being an influence in an act he could not possibly ever have known would take place.

It is interesting that Robert Spencer is featured in this, but I wonder if the editing of him left his views intact. This should be interesting in any case. I wonder what Iran plans. Maybe they will hang a few more of their own minorities, gay people and journalists.

The BBC is courting controversy with its plans to broadcast a documentary series about Muslim prophet Muhammad.

Three-part series The Life of Muhammad has already been blasted by officials in Iran, who claim the country will take ‘serious action’ if it is screened.

The Iranian minister of cultural and Islamic guidance, Mohammad Hosseini, who has yet to watch any of the series, has branded the film an attempt by the ‘enemy’ to ‘ruin Muslims’ sanctity’.

‘The BBC’s decision to make a documentary on the life of [the] prophet Muhammad seems dubious and if our suspicions are proved to be correct, we will certainly take serious action,’ he told Iran’s Fars news agency. Continue Reading →

Saudi women turn to social media for the right to drive

Now I wonder where the flotillas are for Saudi women. Or Saudi ‘apartheid’ weeks, often months it seems, on Western university campus’ to support something which actually does look a lot more like apartheid than anything one finds in Israel. The fact that women are not allowed to drive in a UN member state country merely because they are women and the state religion mandates that women should be disenfranchised of any autonomy in every possible way should be the source of outrage of every college campus in the US, Canada and Europe and indeed, East Asia as well. Instead, university students seem to prefer to be useful idiots and hasten their own dhimmitude.

Even this BBC story manages to utterly avoid the kind of rightful outrage and contempt that they should show towards the Saudi genuine apartheid of women, that they would heap upon any story on Israel, even then the issue is trivial, spun out of all relationship to the facts or outright fiction.

BBC quip has legs.

It seems the BBC joke, for which I received a strike on my new youtube account for posting, and from where I am still not sure, was it the BBC, or was it the Muslims who posted the BBC clip in order to create hate and outrage and a backlash against the BBC for daring to say Mecca is holy to Muslims who wage jihad, which it obviously is, has developed some legs. The original clip from the Muslims who posted it, the channel of which I have linked to above, has also had their version of the BBC clip removed. So clearly the claim was not from them. My version for which I was struck, is right below. Below that, a very clever work around by a fellow who had some worthwhile things to say about the whole thing.

Muslim group rankles at BBC quip

I took the liberty of replacing the tirade at the end of the original upload about how to complain about the BBC with my own tirade about how refreshing this was.

Youtube claims to have taken this video offline due to a copyright claim, I can’t tell if its from BBC or from the Muslim who posted the clip to craete shock and horror within the Muslim community who clearly can’t take a joke, even when so obviously true. The copyright claim doesn’t say BBC so I have no way of knowing who its from. However if the clip does go offline, please click here to see it.

Wikileaks accuses BBC of being part of ‘possible propaganda media network’ for Al Qaeda

The BBC could be part of a ‘propaganda media network’ for al-Qeada, according  to U.S. files published by Wikileaks.

A phone number of someone at the BBC was found in phone books and programmed  into the mobile phones of a number of militants seized by the Americans.

The number is believed to be based at Bush House, the headquarters of the BBC World Service.

‘The number is associated with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).’

The U.S. assessment file said forces had uncovered many ‘extremist links’ to the  BBC number – indicating that extremists could have made contacts with employees at the broadcaster who were sympathetic to extremists or had information on ‘ACM’ (anti-Coalition militia) activities.

An analyst’s note on the file states: ‘Numerous extremist links to this BBC  number indicates a possible propaganda media network connection.

Network  analysis might provide leads to individuals with either sympathetic ties to  extremists or possibly possessing information on ACM operations.’

The BBC number appears in the file of Turki Mish’awi Zaid Alj-Amri, a Saudi who  was ‘assessed to be a member of al-Qaeda, who travelled to Afghanistan to  participate in jihad.’

The US files says Alj-Amri had stayed at al-Qaeda camps and had received  training there. He had also fought against Coalition forces at Tora Bora in  Afghanistan.

‘Many of the telephone numbers in his pocket litter have been associated with  multiple ACM personnel, indicating he may have played a greater role in  multiple activities than previously assessed.’

He was repatriated to Saudia Arabia in late 2009.

The BBC number listed on the file is now dead, but the revelation could further  dent the broadcaster’ reputation for impartiality. It has for years faced  claims it is biased towards the left.

But this is the first time the BBC has been linked to Islamic extremism.

In September 2006, BBC chairman Michael Grade held an ‘impartiality summit’ to  assess whether there was a left-wing bias.

A leaked account of the meeting showed that executives admitted they would  broadcast an interview with Osama Bin Laden, the founder of al-Qaeda.

They said they would give him a platform to explain his views, if he approached  them.

Former BBC political editor Andrew Marr later said the BBC was not ‘impartial  or neutral’, saying it had a ‘liberal bias’.

A spokesman for the BBC said: ‘Independence and impartiality are at the heart of all BBC World Service output. The service has interviewed representatives of organisations from all sides involved in the Afghan conflict so it would not be surprising that a number believed to relate to the BBC Pashto service was in circulation.’

For 20 years I was a front man at the BBC, anchoring news and current ­affairs programmes, so I reckon nobody is better placed than me to ­answer the question that nags at many of its viewers — is the BBC biased?
In my view, ‘bias’ is too blunt a word to describe the subtleties of the ­pervading culture. The better word is a ‘mindset’. At the core of the BBC, in its very DNA, is a way of thinking that is firmly of the Left.
By far the most popular and widely read newspapers at the BBC are The Guardian and The Independent. ­Producers refer to them routinely for the line to take on ­running stories, and for inspiration on which items to cover. In the later stages of my career, I lost count of the number of times I asked a producer for a brief on a story, only to be handed a copy of The Guardian and told ‘it’s all in there’.

If you want to read one of the few copies of the Daily Mail that find their way into the BBC newsroom, they are difficult to track down, and you would be advised not to make too much of a show of reading them. Wrap them in brown paper or a copy of The Guardian, would be my advice.
I am in no doubt that the majority of BBC staff vote for political parties of the Left. But it’s impossible to do ­anything but guess at the numbers whose beliefs are on the Right or even Centre-Right. This is because the one thing guaranteed to damage your career prospects at the BBC is letting it be known that you are at odds with the prevailing and deep-rooted BBC attitude towards Life, the Universe, and Everything.
At any given time there is a BBC line on everything of importance, a line usually adopted in the light of which way its senior echelons believe the political wind is ­blowing. This line is rarely spelled out explicitly, but percolates subtly throughout the organisation.
Whatever the United Nations is associated with is good — it is heresy to question any of its activities. The EU is also a good thing, but not quite as good as the UN. Soaking the rich is good, despite well-founded economic arguments that the more you tax, the less you get. And Government spending is a good thing, although most BBC ­people prefer to call it investment, in line with New Labour’s terminology.
All green and environmental groups are very good things. Al Gore is a saint. George Bush was a bad thing, and thick into the bargain. Obama was not just the Democratic Party’s candidate for the White House, he was the BBC’s. Blair was good, Brown bad, but the BBC has now lost interest in both.
Trade unions are mostly good things, especially when they are fighting BBC managers. Quangos are also mostly good, and the reports they produce are usually handled uncritically. The Royal Family is a bore. Islam must not be offended at any price, although ­Christians are fair game because they do nothing about it if they are offended.

MUSLIM teachers have blasted the BBC as “bigoted and Islamophobic” after a documentary about Muslim schools.

The Panorama investigation by veteran journalist John Ware claimed children were exposed to extremist preachers and fundamentalist Islamic groups.

He also revealed that a network of 40 part-time Saudi schools were offering to teach the Saudi national curriculum, and standard textbooks showed children the correct way to cut off thieves’ hands and feet.
But tutors at the London School of Islamics (LSI) branded Ware an “Islam basher”.

Spokesman Iftikhar Ahmad added: “The Panorama show was a confused and sensationalist bit of film-making.

“Yet the Islamist schools in the documentary were all rated as good or excellent, and this was confirmed by their own presenter.”

Last night the BBC said it “stood by the documentary 100%”.

School watchdogs are now looking into why part-time schools can escape Ofsted inspections and will report to Education Secretary Michael Gove, 43.

It is absolutely stunning what the BBC will allow a person to get away with, when talking about Islam, when that person is brown and not Christian. Not that anything he says is not true, it all is. But Tommy Robinson would simply never be allowed to say these things about Islam without interruption and snide contempt.

By the time the Beeb notices it, one wonders how bad things really are. In any case, this is quite a good bit by the BBC. I look forward to part II.

The video’s I added, (the BBC show was radio and hence, audio only) are nearly random but a few of them are bang on context and one video is specifically the one referred to by a speaker, when he mentions how hatred of Jewish people is specifically taught as part of Islamic faith, I found and added the video of an Egyptian state TV Imam saying exactly that.

I hope to be able to do part II this week after they broadcast it.

BBC Gaza protest A protester placed a Palestinian flag on top of BBC ManchesterProtesters demonstrating against the Israeli attack on a Gaza-bound aid ship have attempted to storm the BBC in Manchester.

More than 800 people marched through the city centre and down Oxford Road, where the crowd surged at the BBC’s entrance, smashing its front doors.

One man climbed to the top of the building to plant a Palestinian flag and there were at least three arrests.

Protesters said they were also angry about the BBC’s coverage of Israel.

Police officers formed a chain across the BBC’s Oxford Road entrance and surrounded the building with police vehicles and officers.

Protesters from the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, who organised the demonstration, chanted slogans including: “BBC tell the truth.”

Talat Ali, 40, organizer from the Palestine Solidarity Campaign said: “This is a peaceful demonstration against the attack that has taken place on the Gaza flotilla.

“We are not happy with the way commanders boarded vessels and butchered people.

“We are not happy with the biased news given by the BBC.”

A BBC spokesman said: “‘There was a protest outside the offices of BBC Manchester, however staff and visitors were safe and services were not interrupted.”

Greater Manchester Police were unavailable for comment.
