Anti-Semitism soars in Holland

There is a popular misconception that the Dutch are an easygoing, tolerant people.

Like many Jews, as a youngster I associated Holland with windmills and tulips and a heroic people which bravely defended Jews during the Nazi occupation.

Alas, I subsequently learned that the record of the Dutch towards the Jews was nothing of the sort. There were tens of thousands of Dutch righteous gentiles who risked their lives to save Jews but there were far more collaborators, over 25,000 of whom even volunteered for the Waffen SS. Overall, the Dutch authorities willingly assisted in the deportation of the Jews. Anne Frank and her family were amongst those denounced to the Nazis. Of the 140,000 Jews living in the Netherlands before the war, over 100,000 were murdered.

Today, there is a popular misconception that the Dutch are an easygoing, tolerant, multi-cultured people.

In truth, Dutch society has become polarized as a consequence of the massive influx of non-Western immigrants, predominantly Muslim, who have shattered social stability. Muslims currently comprise one million out of a 16 million population, a disproportionate number of whom have police records.

Together with indigenous anti- Semites, some radical Muslims have effectively exploited the culture of permissiveness to violently promote their objectives.

Verbal and physical violence has escalated, climaxing in November 2004 with the brutal public street murder in Amsterdam of Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh who was shot and stabbed to death by Mohammed Bouyeri, a Muslim radical.

Although this had a major impact on Dutch society, it did not become the watershed one may have expected. However the status of the 30,000 members of the Jewish community, already subjected to increasing anti- Semitic incitement and violence primarily emanating from the Moroccan Muslim community, continued to deteriorate.

The leading daily newspaper NRC Handelsblad published an article in June stating that anti- Semitism in areas of Amsterdam has become the norm rather than the exception. It identified areas in Amsterdam in which Jews with skullcaps or distinctive garb cannot walk in the streets without being affronted, spat at or even attacked.

In May, an outdoor commemoration ceremony for the last transport of 3,000 Jewish children deported during the Holocaust was disrupted by bikers shrieking “Heil Hitler” during the recitation of Kaddish.

Anti-Semitism also manifests itself in anti-Israel demonstrations where cries of “Hamas Hamas – Jews to the gas”; “Jew cancer”; and “Hitler let one get away!” are frequently heard. Football stadiums have become notorious arenas for anti-Israel and anti-Semitic chants. About half of the registered criminal utterances reported on the internet throughout Holland in 2009 were against Jews. It is believed that if full records were accessible, the proportion would be much higher.

LAST MONTH, the 280-year-old synagogue in Weesp became the first Jewish house of worship in Europe since the war obliged to cancel Sabbath services after the police had warned congregants of threats of violence. Continue Reading →

Taliban backs Dutch socialist party in next election

The Taliban has come out supporting the Dutch PDVSA party in the next Netherlands election. Go figure.


The Taliban thanks the PvdA [Labour Party, Socialists] for the upcoming departure of Dutch troops form Uruzgan. The radical Islamic terrorist organization says it hopes the PvdA will again make part of the Dutch government so that there will be a lasting friendly policy “toward Afghanistan”.

This was said by Qari Yusuf Ahmadii, the spokesman for the Taliban in southern and western Afghanistan in an exclusive interview with Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.

Today’s New York Times, has an op ed by Robert Wright, “A Mosque Maligned”, in which he decries criticism of Imam Faisal Rauf and the controversial Cordoba House Initiative, the ‘ground zero mosque’ by asserting: “So far as I can tell, [Imam] Rauf is a good person who genuinely wants to build a more peaceful world.”
Former Muslims United (FMU) issued a news release on July 13th disclosing that Imam Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan had not signed a Freedom Pledge request sent them last October, abjuring death fatwas against those who leave Islam. So much for Rauf and Khan’s taqiyya about building a ‘peaceful’ tolerant world, given their intolerance.
Then there is this stunning revelation courtesy of a Gates of Vienna report that Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party (PVV) has uncovered Dutch government support for the ‘ground zero’ project: a $1 million grant made to the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA) headed by Imam Rauf and Ms. Khan.  Given this disclosure should Imam Rauf and Ms. Kahn be required to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA? This information obtained by GoV has been passed on to the alliance of Ground Zero Mosque opponents in Manhattan.
Bravo to Wilders, architect of the newly launched International Freedom Alliance for questions raised in the Hague Parliament. A tip of the hat to Baron Bodissey and the team at GoV for bringing this to our attention.

Our Flemish correspondent VH has translated an article from today’s De Telegraaf about the Dutch government’s indirect role in financing the proposed mosque at Ground Zero. Geert Wilders and the PVV have been instrumental in exposing this sordid little arrangement:
“Netherlands subsidizes Ground Zero mosque”

The Party for Freedom has filed parliamentary questions in response to an article on the Dutch website “text2|Dagelijkse Standaard}”in which it is reported[1] that the Netherlands co-finances the construction of a mosque a stone’s throw from Ground Zero in New York City with a million U.S. dollars of Dutch taxpayers’ money.

The website of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that a subsidy of $ 1,000,000 was awarded to the organization American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA). That organization is, in cooperation with the Islamic organization Cordoba Initiative, responsible for the hundred million U.S. dollar cost of the Islamic Center Mosque, which will be built near Ground Zero.

The PVV demands clarification[2] and calls the already-approved plans for the building of a mosque right next to Ground Zero absurd and an insult to the thousands of relatives of the victims who fell on September 11, 2001.

The scandal was first made public by the Dutch section of International Civil Liberties Alliance in May this year: “A mosque too far”. According to the article, it is not “only” the mentioned $1,000,000 that has been funded by the Dutch Minister of Development Aid, Bert Koenders (PvdA, Labour Party, Socialists). His “Millennium Development Goals Fund” (MDG3) also transferred half a million dollars directly to ASMA, only days before Feisal Abdul Rauf closed the purchase of the building (June 20, 2009). ‘Netherlands Subsidising Mosque by Ground Zero’

AMSTERDAM, 21/07/10 – The Party for Freedom (PVV) is demanding clarification by the Dutch government regarding reports that the Netherlands is co-financing the construction of a mosque a stone’s throw away from Ground Zero in New York with 1 million dollars of Dutch taxpayers’ money.

On the foreign ministry’s website, it says that a subsidy of 1 million dollars has been awarded to the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA). This organisation is, in partnership with the Islamic organisation Cordoba Initiative, responsible for the Islamic centre including a mosque, costing 100 million dollars, to be built near Ground Zero.

The PVV is demanding an explanation and terms the plans to build a mosque right next to Ground Zero absurd and an insult to relatives of the thousands of victims who lost their lives on 11 September 2001. The party wants the subsidy to ASMA to be withdrawn immediately.

Dutch Rabbi gets Hitler salute and raises the alarm about anti-Semitism

In a broadcast of the Dutch TV program “The Five W’s” by the [Dutch] Jewish Broadcasting Organization, one can see Rabbi Lody van de Kamp walk with two students though Amsterdam where he is threatened by Moroccan youths. One of them even gives him a Hitler salute.

In the TV program Van de Kamp raises the alarm about the growing anti-Semitism in the Netherlands. He wants Jews to be able to walk normally in all areas of the city, and at present that is not the case.

“It happens regularly that one is mocked,” says Rabbi Van de Kamp. The two students also claim to have been harassed often when they walk through the city.

In other cities of the Netherlands there have also been reports filed with the police because Jews were attacked.

Last week it became known that the Amsterdam borough “De Baarsjes” even has a hidden synagogue, because Jews are afraid of trouble otherwise.[1]

Last week PvdA member Ahmed Marcouch called for the deployment of a lokjood [“decoy Jew”] to halt the growing anti-Semitism.

“As far as I am concerned, you may deploy a decoy Jew, but you must nab them. You must do everything to increase the chances of getting them. These look like they are just incidents, but this is serious.”

DUTCH SYNAGOGUE VANDALIZED WITH RED PAINT IN AMERSFOORT

The list of attacks against Jews in the Netherlands keeps on growing. Here is the latest sad news: a synagogue was vandalized with the smearing of red paint, most likely tied to the “outrage of the Muslim street” over the “Flotilla of the Huns” incident.
Turkish jihadis commandeered a ship with the blessings of the Turkish government, to spring a trap on IDF soldiers who were expected to drop in to steer the ship to the coastal Israeli port of Ashdod for inspection.
So the Jews of the Netherlands are made to feel the rage of the Muslim street, but lats face facts, they don’t need any reason for sudden rage syndrome, just walking past a Muslim while being Jewish is more than enough to set them off. KGS
AMERSFOORT (Reuters) – The Synagogue of the Jewish Community Amersfoort is smeared with red paint. The police surveillance in the coming days additional property, a police spokesperson reported Wednesday.
At the synagogue are big blobs of red paint left, but no offensive slogans or written texts. The Jewish community has reported the destruction. It is still unclear, according to the police or to vandalism or that there is a purposeful action.  “We’re being in surveillance at least extra in this location,” said the spokesman.

The synagogue in Amersfoort has been daubed with large quantities of red paint. No text or graffiti were added. The Jewish community has put in a complaint with the police. According to the police it is unclear whether this is vandalism or a targeted action.

Calculating the Cost of Cultural Enrichment in the Netherlands

“The second generation of non-Western immigrants makes greater use of collective provisions and contributes less in taxes and social security premiums than the average citizen.”

Last year Geert Wilders asked the Dutch government to prepare a cost-benefit analysis of immigration into the Netherlands, so that voters could make an informed decision about whether mass immigration from the Third World should be halted. The government refused his request, so his party commissioned a report from NYFER, a private research firm, to assess the overall net cost of immigration.

As Mr. Wilders mentioned in his speech last week, the results are in, and the report has been published. The full NYFER report (in Dutch, pdf) is available online, and the conclusions (in Dutch, pdf) have also been posted.

Our Flemish correspondent VH has kindly translated NYFER’s conclusions for Gates of Vienna. It’s easy to see why the Dutch government was reluctant to look into the matter: for the last ten years, the net cost of immigration to the Netherlands has been €7.2 billion annually.

A Dutch film-making outfit known as Red Rebel Films has recently approached various European and American anti-jihad activists and asked to interview them for a documentary about Geert Wilders. The filmmakers have described their project as an objective look at the Dutch politician, and not an attack piece.

So who are Red Rebel Films? What do we know about their objectivity when it comes to the subject of their upcoming documentary?

According to the Red Rebel website:

RedRebel Films is dedicated to filmmaking that promotes change. We uncover stories that need to be told and produce cutting edge programmes that enlighten, challenge, and provoke opinion.

RedRebel Films is a multi award winning documentary company formed in 2007 by filmmakers Mags Gavan and Joost van der Valk.

Nothing alarming here so far. They are based in London, Cardiff, and Amsterdam. Their experience in film is outlined on their “About” page:

When Mags eventually left BBC and joined forces with Joost, they dedicated their careers to making hard hitting films with a purpose, and set up RedRebel.

Immediately they began making cutting edge current affairs documentaries such as Kashmir’s Missing Men (about the independence struggle in Indian Kashmir).

Their site, however, fails to mention that the film about Kashmir has a pro-Muslim point of view. Does this provide a clue about Red Rebel’s attitude towards Wilders?

When he sent emails to people that he wanted to interview, Joost van der Valk explained that his film company was working on a programme for Dutch Television (VPRO) about the PVV and other similar parties which strongly oppose Islam in Europe. Continue Reading →

Court clears Holocaust cartoon publication

The following story exemplifies pretty much everything that has gone wrong in the west in the last 50 years. First of all, how can a charge even exist that is about feeling insulted? And if such a charge exists then why bother with a judge or court at all. Ask the person who claims to be offended if they are insulted, and when they answer in the affirmative then book em Danno and throw away the key.

Secondly, Geert Wilders would appear to be up on a similar charge in the Netherlands. It will be quite telling if he is found guilty of offending Muslims for telling the truth about Islam, (something even the prosecution does not deny, but mitigates with ‘The truth is not at issue, it is whether or not what Wilders said was Legal”) while the Arab League is found not guilty of insulting Jews for telling lies about a part of history that is sensitive to say the least, to Jewish people.

Judges in Utrecht have found the Dutch arm of the European Arab League not guilty of insulting Jews for publishing a cartoon which suggested they invented the Holocaust.

The league first published the cartoon on its website in response to the Danish cartoons poking fun at Mohammed four years ago and then again last year. The organisation said the aim was not to insult anyone but to highlight double standards in society.

The court said that while the cartoon is tasteless and upsetting, the right to freedom of expression is more important, Nos tv reported.

‘The court considers the cartoon insulting, if considered by itself,’ the court said. However ‘the context in which it is placed removes the criminally insulting nature.’

The public prosecution department had called for a €1,000 fine.

Holland: MPs call for emergency debate on Islam conference

MPs have called for an emergency debate with justice minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin about a debate on the future of Islam in the Netherlands, due to take place at the end of May, the Telegraaf reports.

According to the Telegraaf, MPs are concerned about the involvement of a organization known as the Muslim Brotherhood in the conference.

According to the Dutch security service AIVD, the brotherhood strives to encourage European Muslims to adopt an ultra orthodox version of Islam in which Islam determines all aspects of life.

The aim of the conference, entitled Islam in Holland – Meditating on the Present and Future Horizons, is to encourage ‘positive methodological dialogue between Muslims and Dutch political, intellectual and religious activists, hoping to clarify opinions and remove misunderstandings around controversial or critical issues’ according to the organisers.

This video would almost be as hilarious as a Monty Python sketch, if it were not deadly serious. No one in the video rejects the death threats against Lars Vilks, nor, most importantly, do they reject the Muslim plot to murder him.

The video features Appa (the Moroccan “rapper” Rachid El Ghazoui) who a few years ago said he wouldn’t feel sorry if someone shot downGeert Wilders: “If I ever meet Wilders, he’s mine… if someone were to put a bullet in his head, I wouldn’t mind”. The Dutch Ministry of Justice then decided not to hire Appa for workshops in youth prisons for a while. In this video he again lays the blame somewhere else: “Let the white Dutchman now once stand up and say, no this does not work, this is not the way.”

Before the established parties decided to destroy and ethnically cleanse the Netherlands, these mediaeval freaks and zealots would have been laughed at nationwide, while realizing they were lucky to have those idiots live far away, somewhere in the deserts across the Mediterranean.

The Socialists should be made to pay for this one day.

Just quoting a Dutch friend who uses this expression quite often. I think I am beginning to understand what it means. Below, a story about no-go zones in Holland and the couched language the authorities use as to how the indigenous Netherlanders should deal with it. Which is to say, do not go in to these areas at any time. Abandon your traditions of riding bikes and, better yet just do not go there. No one is saying its the Muslims causing these problems, but calls have gone out to the mosques to try and get people to stop attacking the Dutch.

VEENENDAAL, 19/03/10 – Mayor Ties Elzenga of Veenendaal has advised his residents to avoid certain areas in the town due to a series of violent muggings. Although he says the ethnic background of the perpetrators is not yet clear, he has already made contact with the Moroccan community.

At least three violent robberies took place last weekend along a bicycle route from the centre to the south of Veenendaal, a small town near Utrecht. The victims were stripped and assaulted. Police are speaking of a new form of violence. “A combination of robbery and brutal humiliation,” said a spokesman.

Mayor Elzenga has advised all residents to avoid the cycle route along which the offences occurred. “Do not go there if you are alone, and especially not in the dark.” Continue Reading →
