The Amsterdam police published photos of a group of youth who threatened to kill a man in Amsterdam-West last August because he did not fast on Ramadan. The group shouted at the man that they’ll shoot him in the head, the police reported Monday.
Turkish Grey Wolves attack Kurdish targets in Amsterdam, France and Germany

The demonstrators tried to go to Sloterkade, where the Kurdish centre is located. When the riots started, the demonstrators came to blows with the police and smashed in car windshields and the Kurdish cultural center was damaged. There are several injured, onlookers. The neighborhood is sealed now by police.
Protesters threw stones and beat police with sticks. There are many rumors that shots were fired during the riots.
The protest earlier today was directed against “terrorism”, and in particular the Kurdish separatist PKK.
It seems yesterday’s attack on Kurds in Holland was part of a Europe wide coordinated effort by Turks, part of the ‘Gray Wolves’ movement (you can tell my the hand sign salute many are doing in all of the videos) and Kurdish associated buildings, shops and or businesses were attacked by Turks in all locations.
Isn’t it a grand idea to include Turkey in the EU and drop all requirements for passports etc? The video above is from Stuttgart. Below, from Saint-Étienne in France. Both of these were found at Islam Vs. Europe. It is important to note the mix of ‘Allahu Ackbar’s and the fascist chants and signs from the Turks. The Grey Wolves are worth a moment to look up.
I am reliably informed that they also smashed up a Kurdish shop in Saint-Etienne in France after this protest march.

Apparent mortar attack damages Amsterdam court
Dutch media report the damage may have been caused by a mortar shell.
The explosion left a small hole in the outer wall of the building’s third floor.

The explosion caused windows on seven floors of the building to break. Nobody was injured.
Court officials and the Amsterdam police are in the dark as to the motive behind the attack.
Based on an eyewitness report police is looking for two men.
A man who lives in the vicinity of the building told police that after the explosion he saw two men — one running away, the other on a motor bike or a scooter.
The courthouse at Parnassusweg was the venue of the high-profile trial of populist politician Geert Wilders earlier this year. Last June he wasacquitted of inciting hatred of Muslims in June.
Four years ago, the high-security courtroom in Amsterdam-Osdorp was also hit by an attack that severely damaged the building. Unknown attackers shot two explosives at the building on the first day of the trial against the criminal William Holleeder and two of his co-defendants.
Ivo Opstelten, Minister of Security and Justice, says today’s attack is an “attack on the state’s rule of law,” and promises no stone will be left unturned in the search for what happened and who the perpetrators are.

Dutch chapter of Al Qaeda rented Brabanthallen for a big Islamic convention.On Sunday the 6th of June a Salafist congress took place in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. The main guest at this happening was “the noble great scholar Sheikh Abu Ishaq al-Hoeweyni”.
This sheikh is a prominent member of “Jama’a al-Islamiya’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Gama%27a_al-Islamiyya), one of al Qaeda’s affiliated organizations.
Three weeks ago (June 11th), there was an item in the news (and video) about an Egyptian Sheikh Hoeweyni, who made de following statements:
We are in the era of jihad. The era of Jihad Has Come to us and jihad in the path of Allah is a pleasure. It’s a real pleasure. The companions (of the Prophet) used to compete to (perform jihad). That we are in poverty — is it not due to our Abandonment or jihad? But if we could conduct one, two, or three jihadist operations every year, many people would become Muslims Throughout the earth. And whoever rejected this da’wa, or stood in our way, we would fight against him and take him prisoner, and confiscate his wealth, his children, and his women — all of this MEANS money. Every mujahid who returned from jihad, his pockets would be full. He would return with three or four slaves, three or four women, and 3 or 4 children. Each head Multiply by 300 dirhams, or 300 dinars, and you have a good amount of profit. If he were to go to the West and work on a commercial deal, he would not make that much money. Whenever things became difficult (financially), he could take the head (i.e. the prisoner) and sell it, and ease his (financial) crisis.
Huwaini actually made these scandalous assertions some eighteen years ago. But because they were only recently exposed, and he was invited to “clarify” his position on Hikma TV last week. Amazingly, though he began by saying his words were “taken out of context,” he nonetheless reasserted, in even more blunt language, that Islam justifies plundering, enslaving, and raping the infidel. (Al Youm 7 has the entire interview, excerpts of which I translate below.)
According to Huwaini, after Muslims invade and conquer a non-Muslim nation—in the course of waging an offensive jihad—the properties and persons of those infidels who refuse to convert or pay jizya and live as subjugated dhimmis are to be seized as ghanima or “spoils of war.”
Huwaini cited the Koran as his authority — boasting that it has an entire chapter named “spoils” — and the sunna of Muhammad, specifically as recorded in the famous Sahih Muslim hadith wherein the prophet ordered the Muslim armies to offer non-Muslims three choices: conversion, subjugation, or death/enslavement. More on the Dutch ban on ritual slaughter.
There has been quite a few comments on this issue on Vlad. None of them agreeing with me whatsoever from any side. Just FWIW.
The National post just published this article as a sort of follow up on the previous one and I wish to take issue with much of what is said in it. Many of the comments on the previous post actually made some important points and if true, do change the equation somewhat. For example, if indeed the kosher method really does kill the animal with the same or less pain than the usual Western industrial methods, then it should be allowed based on that standard. But I cannot let rabbis say that this means ‘no Jews allowed’, as they do in this article, in Holland. It just means if they insist on eating only Kosher meat they have to be vegetarian or get the meat from Belgium. Life is about choices. Democracy makes laws for the public good now and again and while I do not agree with many of them, if they do not apply to all and exceptions can be made for the most irrational reasons, then there is no point in making them at all.
A few points:
The European Jewish Congress (EJC) announced it was considering taking legal action to block the ban, which it said violated the freedom of religion enshrined in the European Convention of Human Rights.
OK I have not read the “European convention of Human Rights” but surely if it speaks of freedom of religion, that can’t give religious people the right to run roughshod over secular law, only freedom from state persecution so long as they do obey the laws. Freedom of religion was always meant to mean you can pray in whatever manner to whichever god. Surely to Aphrodite it wasn’t meant to mean you can earn yourself a free pass from democratic law because you declare your religion obliges you to certain actions. If it does, then I belong to the sacred church of holy Texas Colt and I demand the right to carry an operational .45 cal sidearm at all times. You know, like the Sikh’s carry a knife. To defend their religion. Well I want my Colt to defend mine. Can’t help it if now and again a criminal gets in the way and I need to use it for non religious purposes.
CER President Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt vowed to lobby against the bill, saying: “We will not rest until this discriminatory, intolerant and hateful bill is thrown out. We call upon the members of the Dutch Senate to use their constitutional powers to restore the dignity of their country.”
How is it “discriminatory, intolerant and hateful”? It just means Jews and Muslims have to 1. Eat non halal/Kosher meat when in holland or 2. Order out or 3. not eat meat. In no way does it say no Muslims or Jews allowed. This is about a behavior. There should also be laws saying no rapists allowed. Would we accept an argument from a religious group that advocated rape of non-members (not that there is such a group of course) that such a law was hateful and intolerant of them? What about smokers? I notice even liberal Holland has banned cigarettes from bars and restaurants? Is that hateful and intolerant? Why do people insist on using the word ‘discriminate’ like its a bad thing?
“We have passed the stage of arguing the nuances of intention of anti-Semitism,” he said. “The practical effects of this bill mean that Jews are no longer welcome in the Netherlands. This has not happened for 70 years.”
No. It does not mean that. It means Jews are as welcome as anyone else they just can’t slaughter animals in a way that contradicts Dutch animal welfare laws. It is not antisemitic whatsoever. Antisemitism is when you discriminate against Jewish people for no reason other than the label of being Jewish, whether they are religious or no, or have any actual behavioral trait with which a person may take issue. This is what differentiates between antisemitism and being anti-Islam. People who are Muslim and choose to abandon all that crap no longer are on the radar of people who do not like Islam. Jews are hated for being jews, by those that do, for no actual reason of belief, behavior or any other rational attribute. This is a critical distinction and why in fact, everyone needs to learn to discriminate. Discrimination is the whole purpose of reason.

Dutch vote to ban religious slaughter of animals
A small step for a cow, but a giant leap for farm animal kind.
Let all nations on earth follow suit and soon. When those religious nuts of all flavors agree to give up any and all technology that has come since the year 700 AD, then I might consider allowing a religious exemption for barbaric slaughter. But if you are going to drive a car, use a phone, take modern medicine or have temperature controls, live in a non-mud home, then sorry, learn to eat meat that has been killed humanely.
(Reuters) – The Dutch parliament voted on Tuesday to ban ritual slaughter of animals, a move strongly opposed by the country’s Muslim and Jewish minorities, but left a loophole that might let religious butchering continue.
The bill by the small Animal Rights Party, the first such group in Europe to win seats in a national parliament, passed the lower house of parliament by 116 votes to 30. It must be approved by the upper house before becoming law.
It stipulates that livestock must be stunned before being slaughtered, contrary to the Muslim halal and Jewish kosher laws that require animals to be fully conscious.
“This way of killing causes unnecessary pain to animals. Religious freedom cannot be unlimited,” said Marianne Thieme, head of the Animal Rights Party, said before the vote. “For us religious freedom stops where human or animal suffering begins.” Continue Reading →

No Ban on Jewish and Islamic Slaugher after All
So much wrong with this story and most of it is in what is not said.
Why is there no law demanding that all animals slaughtered without the proper humane laws Western civilization have fought to achieve for so long, are labeled as such. If they can’t find it in them to enforce their own laws demanding humane slaughter, then why can they not at least give rational citizens the ability to know what is ‘halal’ and what is humane. I believe that kosher meat is marked but if not, the same needs to apply although frankly, either we have secular laws for the sake of animal welfare or we do not but allowing anyone who wants an exception to have one makes a mockery of secular law altogether.

THE HAGUE, 23/06/11 – There will be no ban on the unanaesthetised slaughter of animals that is carried out in Jewish and Islamic abattoirs. The Lower House majority that earlier existed for such a ban has evaporated.
The Lower House wants unanaesthetised ritual slaughter to remain possible after all, providing Jews and Muslims can show that this does not cause more suffering for animals than anaesthetised slaughter. Labour (PvdA) and centre-left D66 have received support from the conservatives (VVD) and leftwing Greens (GroenLinks) for a plan giving the abattoirs a year and a half to demonstrate that their method of slaughter is animal-friendly. If they do not succeed, then there could be a ban after all.
PvdA and D66 did earlier back a proposed bill from the Party for Animals (PvdD) on a ban of unanaesthetised slaughter. But under pressure from their Islamic supporters, both parties went back on this.
The VVD also began to have doubts. Its honorary member and former party leader Frits Bolkestein vehemently opposed the PvdD proposal, defending the Jewish tradition.
The Christian parties CDA, ChristenUnie and SGP also put forward an amendment to the PvdA bill yesterday. Under this amendment, unanaesthetised ritual slaughter would be banned unless a licence had been awarded for this.
CDA, ChristenUnie and SGP want abattoirs to be able to obtain a licence if the slaughtering process is under the constant supervision of a vet. Additionally, the animal has to have lost consciousness 45 seconds at most after having its throat cut. The vet can still stun the animal if he finds animal welfare is being damaged.

The Dutch navy will be allowed to fight pirates on Somali territory. A majority in Dutch parliament agreed with Defence Minister, Hans Hillen, today that the anti-piracy effort has to be upgraded.
