More anti starbucks activities by the useful idiots of Islam

The city of Ottawa, capitol of Canada had a nice winter festival mostly for kids in a large public park on Feb. 2 2009. Starbucks was there to offer free hot apple cider and other drinks to children in the spirit of community relations and mostly just to add to the festive atmosphere of the event; Giving free drinks to kids, Hot chocolate apple cider and so on. A woman approaches and begins to plaster all of the large containers of drinks at the Starbucks with boycott stickers naming Starbucks as well as Coca cola and other well known corporations.

VTB has written before about the rumor mill and how Starbucks has received so many calls claiming that they fund the Israeli amred forces that they have issued memos to all stores saying how to handle this nonsense. We have seen in Europe how protesters have specifically targetted Starbucks for vandalism and destruction. I guess the leftists have decided that after a hard day of trashing Starbucks they like to go to McDonalds for a snack so have decided to stop trashing those franchises.

The manager asked her to stop and started taking down the stickers and the protester asked for them back telling him he wasn’t allowed to throw them out and she was going to ‘recycle’ them. She then informed the manager that Starbucks was funding the I.D.F and that they must be boycotted. She then stayed at the booth and tried to kill the fun of the festival for the kids by ranting on about Starbucks. Of course, the left really wants to destroy all large corporate entities as they see them and Islam wants to take our system down any way it can, and Starbucks which may have been started by a Jewish person is an enemy of Islamists for that reason alone. Typically Islam and the left collude for their one main common goal. The destruction of the west. It doesn’t matter to either of them that they have opposite visions for its remaking.

It would be wonderful if Leftists in the western world would study the revolution in Iran. Almost certainly they would not get the point. That Islam uses leftists as a tool to destroy societies and then promptly jail or murder their leftist allies. But it may make them experience a tiny bit of remorse that little bit faster when they ‘win’.

Durban II. It’s back, and now its insane.

Friday, January 30th 2009, 4:00 AM

The United Nations “anti-racism” forum, known as Durban II, is becoming a more important test for President Obama‘s multilateralist ambitions with each passing day. Durban I was the anti-Semitic hatefest that ended three days before 9/11. Durban II – the UN equivalent of the Son of Sam – will take place in April in Geneva. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has called on Obama not to legitimize the meeting, or its message, and not to attend. Canada has decided to stay away. But Obama has still not decided whether the United States will go. This Wednesday, however, the stakes got a lot higher with the UN’s release of the latest negotiating text.

Negotiators have now put on the table claims that (1) a homeland for the Jewish people is racism – a “racially based law of return,” (2) Israel is guilty of “apartheid” and (3) the veracity of the murder of one-third of the Jewish people during the Holocaust is subject to question. A reference to Holocaust facts has now been “square-bracketed” because Iran and Syria have questioned the numbers of Jews that died and consensus is the only guiding principle governing the decision-making process.

In total, six provisions are dedicated to demonizing Israel as racist. Not one of the other 191 UN states is mentioned. The intention is clear: the political defeat of Israel in the same vein as apartheid South Africa, because repeated attempts at a military defeat of Israel have failed.

But Israel is not the only target of Islamic and Arab states and their developing world partners. The draft takes straight aim at freedom of expression and counterterrorism. Free speech should supposedly be curtailed by new laws against “projecting negative, insulting and derogatory images of religions and religious personalities” and the introduction of “a code of ethical conduct” for the media. Counterterrorism activities are “obstacles hampering progress in the collective struggle against racism.”

At the top of the agenda is the creation of a hierarchy of human rights victims with “Muslim minorities” topping matters of concern. “The intellectual and ideological validation of Islamophobia” is a “most disturbing phenomenon,” the agenda says. “Anti-Arabism” is introduced as intolerance of a religious minority. Religions, instead of individuals, can be defamed. Calls are made to preserve “religious and cultural identities” without reference to universal rights and freedoms. Broad condemnation of “any advocacy of racial or religious hatred which constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence” is coupled with a refusal to require any finding by a competent, independent and impartial tribunal and a fair and public hearing.

In other words, Durban II is a frontal assault on universal human rights and freedoms by religious fundamentalists.

Predictably, the Gaza war is over but violent demonstrations continue

From last night in New York City, a demonstration is held for Hamas and Palestine. The police continue to side against anyone chosen to be harassed by the demonstrators. This video is about 4 minutes or so but worth watching right to the end. The NYCPD seems to have decided like police around the world to protect the enemies of freedom and the advocates of Islam and terrorism as the path of least resistance if not actual agreement with the goals, which I doubt at this point.
The main issue I believe though here, is that the Hamas supporters and leftists have realized they can act with impunity during the protests while operation cast lead was in progress. Now that the war is over, they will not stop pushing the agenda. Ezra Levant has written eloquently and prophetically on this matter as have many others. This is the new normal and which way it will progress should be obvious. But no action will be taken. A few bloggers and some mass media will point it out. But officialdom will change nothing. Huge thanks to the Gates of Vienna. One of the more prescient places on the net. We all should read it every day before its removed from the web.

A little fiction to help get some perspective on today’s reality.

There is a story this link leads to, which is a wonderful dialectic. One which reminds me of the wonderful writieng style of Scott Adam’s best known as the creator of Dilbert but less known perhaps for his most charming book, ‘god’s Debris‘, one of the most enjoyable reads I have ever had. This story I do not think was written by Adam’s and nor is it charming in other than style. But like brilliant fiction since the invention of the novel, is a good way of using literary devices to help us understand our own reality. This author uses a time traveler from the future to solidify our understanding of the present. Settle back with a drink perhaps and take 15 minutes and enjoy this 2 page short story. This writer, actually gets it. We all need to if we hope to survive the near future in any recognizable way.

Stratfor: Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula: Desperation or New Life

Another really interesting analysis on Al Queda by the boys at Stratfor. If you havent read Fred Burton’s book ‘Ghost’ yet, you are lucky. I means you get to read it for the first time. One of the most enjoyable books I have ever read.

The Devolution of Al Qaeda
The media wing of one of al Qaeda’s Yemeni franchises, al Qaeda in Yemen, released a statement on online jihadist forums Jan. 20 from the group’s leader Nasir al-Wuhayshi, announcing the formation of a single al Qaeda group for the Arabian Peninsula under his command. According to al-Wuhayshi, the new group, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, would consist of his former group (al Qaeda in Yemen) as well as members of the now-defunct Saudi al Qaeda franchise.

The press release noted that the Saudi militants have pledged allegiance to al-Wuhayshi, an indication that the reorganization was not a merger of equals. This is understandable, given that the jihadists in Yemen have been active recently while their Saudi counterparts have not conducted a meaningful attack in years. The announcement also related that a Saudi national (and former Guantanamo detainee) identified as Abu-Sayyaf al-Shihri has been appointed as al-Wuhayshi’s deputy. In some ways, this is similar to the way Ayman al-Zawahiri and his faction of Egyptian Islamic Jihad swore allegiance to Osama bin Laden and were integrated in to al Qaeda prime.

While not specifically mentioned, the announcement of a single al Qaeda entity for the entire Arabian Peninsula and the unanimous support by jihadist militants on the Arabian Peninsula for al-Wuhayshi suggests the new organization will incorporate elements of the other al Qaeda franchise in Yemen, the Yemen Soldiers Brigade.

The announcement also provided links to downloadable versions of the latest issue of the group’s online magazine, Sada al-Malahim, (Arabic for “The Echo of Battle”). The Web page links provided to download the magazine also featured trailers advertising the pending release of a new video from the group, now referred to by its new name, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

The translated name of this new organization sounds very similar to the old Saudi al Qaeda franchise, the al Qaeda Organization in the Arabian Peninsula (in Arabic, “Tandheem al Qaeda fi Jazeerat al-Arabiyah”). But the new group’s new Arabic name, Tanzim Qa’idat al-Jihad fi Jazirat al-Arab, is slightly different. The addition of “al-Jihad” seems to have been influenced by the Iraqi al Qaeda franchise, Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn. The flag of the Islamic State of Iraq also appears in the Jan. 24 video, further illustrating the deep ties between the newly announced organization and al Qaeda in Iraq. Indeed, a number of Yemeni militants traveled to Iraq to fight, and these returning al Qaeda veterans have played a large part in the increased sophistication of militant attacks in Yemen over the past year.

Four days after the Jan. 20 announcement, links for a 19-minute video from the new group titled “We Start from Here and We Will Meet at al-Aqsa” began to appear in jihadist corners of cyberspace. Al-Aqsa refers to the al-Aqsa Mosque on what Jews know as Temple Mount and Muslims refer to as Al Haram Al Sharif. The video threatens Muslim leaders in the region (whom it refers to as criminal tyrants), including Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Saudi royal family, and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. It also threatens so-called “crusader forces” supporting the regional Muslim leaders, and promises to carry the jihad from the Arabian Peninsula to Israel so as to liberate Muslim holy sites and brethren in Gaza.

Hizbullah attack against Israeli target in Europe foiled

From the Jerusalem post by way of Gayandright.blogspot. This bears watching.

Israel’s intelligence agencies recently thwarted a major Hizbullah terror attack against an Israeli target in Europe, security officials revealed on Wednesday.

The attack was foiled by Israel in conjunction with a European intelligence agency. Hizbullah planned the attack to avenge the February 2008 assassination of arch-terrorist Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus.

Last week, Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered Israeli security services to raise their level of alert out of fear that Hizbullah will increase its efforts to launch an attack against an Israeli or Jewish target abroad ahead of the first anniversary of Mughniyeh’s assassination on February 12.

Mughniyeh was the commander of Hizbullah military forces and was assassinated on in a car bombing in Damascus. While Israel did not claim responsibility for the assassination, Hizbullah has declared its intention to avenge Mughniyeh’s death by striking at Israel.

The assessment in the Israeli community is that Hizbullah plans to attack an Israeli target overseas that will not have its direct fingerprints on. Hizbullah is believed to have extensive terror infrastructure in Africa and South America and was allegedly behind the bombings in 1992 and 1994 in Buenos Aires.

Hizbullah, the intelligence community believes, is deterred from launching an attack along the northern border out of fear of Israel’s potential response. The two recent Katyusha rocket attacks into northern Israel are believed to have been carried out by a Palestinian terror group, although under the direction of Hizbullah.

Police break up peaceful legal pro Israel protest.

Below is an article from Ynet news. I re post it here because it is such a blatant and unsubtle example of some of the articles and interviews that Ezra Levant has written and given recently. We have in Sweden, a situation where supporters of Israel have been given a legal permit to have a Raleigh (Demonstration simply inst the right word) and when they where attacked with eggs bottles and tear gas, the police made the  pro Israel people leave. Clearly there is a failure of due process and use of state force.

I fully understand how the police might in some circumstances ask pro Israel supporters to remove themselves where they might come to harm and the state cannot protect them due to absurdly lopsided numbers. But over and over again we see police treating peaceful pro Israel supporters treated as instigators and threatened with arrest while the pro Hamas protests are flagrantly breaking law after law in plain sight. This example below perhaps is merely beyond my ability to explain it away as anything other than state hostility to its Jewish members.

Pro-Israel rally crashed in Sweden

Protestors gathered to support Israel were pelted with eggs and bottles, then dispersed by police

01.25.09, 17:10 / A pro-Israel rally in Malmo, Sweden was torn apart Sunday by pro-Palestinian residents who arrived on the scene with eggs, bottles, and tear gas grenades which they threw at Israel’s supporters. Police dispersed the entire crowd.

Hundreds of people took part in the rally in support of Israel, which was held at the city’s main square. Elad Meier, a Bnei Akiva and Jewish Agency envoy to Sweden said it was organized by Malmo’s Jewish community and Sweden’s Democratic Party.

Pro-Israel demonstration in Malmo (Photo: Elad Meier)

Protesters carried signs that said ‘Stop eight years of Qassams’ and ‘Peace for children in Israel and Gaza’. The organizers received a police permit for the demonstration.
However, a number of pro-Palestinian protesters who did not have a permit to demonstrate took to the streets in retaliation to the approved rally. They were not dispersed by police despite lacking a permit.

“At some point, about a half an hour after the protest began, pro-Palestinian protesters began to throw eggs, bottles, and even a tear gas grenade,” Meier recounted.

He added that the lawless protesters disconnected the speakers brought to the square by the Jewish community while its leader was speaking. The act brought the pro-Israel rally to an end, as others could not speak.

At this point, Meier said, police stepped in and asked the unruly protestors to leave. Officers then proceeded to clear the square of all present, including those who had received permission to demonstrate

The Jewish community in Malmo was angered by the police’s conduct, and its president has lodged an official complaint stating that only those who had protested without a permit should have been dispersed.

Ezra Levant interviewed on CFRA on the new normal of anti semitism. Audio only

From Sunday January 19. Ignore the images. I basically just threw a bunch on till the audio ended as I can’t figure out how to get the audio to play without it showing pictures. While 2 of the images are actually from one of the Calgary ‘protests’ and one is Toronto, the rest are England or unrelated and one is just goofy. So you can ignore the images and just listen to the interview with Ezra Levant on Nick Vandergragt’s show CFRA AM Radio 580 Ottawa Canada

Geert Wilders in Jerusalem. video speech

I believe I have posted this before. But having watched it again, I believe it is worth posting again. Geert is in the news again for his views but this time because his own government in Holland, a government of which he is an elected member, has turned on him and charging him with crimes of speech and thought. George Orwell would not be proud. But neither would he be surprised.

Al Queda’s plague plot backfires

UPDATE Jan 21st 2009

According to stratfor:

Algeria is one of the many areas where plague occurs naturally, and the country experiences periodic outbreaks of the disease. In 2003, there was an outbreak of plague in Algeria’s Oran province. In that outbreak, there were 11 confirmed and seven suspected cases of plague. All the cases in that episode were bubonic, indicating it was likely spread by fleas.

That said, it is possible that AQIM members were experimenting with plague as a weapon, and plague could be employed on a limited scale by infecting some suicide operatives with pneumonic plague and then sending them around to hopefully cough or sneeze on victims, or perhaps to release some infected fleas against a target area. However, either scenario is unlikely to produce mass casualties. Y. pestis might be effectively delivered against a smaller number of people. The early symptoms of pneumonic plague can be mistaken for the flu, and if the victims do not seek immediate medical attention the disease can be fatal.

The above two paragraphs are the limit of what I can post from Stratfor reports on various issues. For anyone wishing to read the whole report for proper context I recommend highly joining Stratfor.com

Published: Today at The Sun.UK

THE al-Qaeda cell wiped out by Black Death may have infected ITSELF while developing biological weapons, it emerged last night.

The terrorists planned to wreak havoc on Western targets but fell victims to their own weapon, a leading expert on chemical warfare believes.

The Sun revealed yesterday that Black Death, also called the Plague, killed at least 40 fanatics at a terror training camp in Algeria earlier this month.

It was thought they caught the disease through poor living conditions in their forest hideouts.

But Dr Igor Khrupinov, of Georgia University, said: “Al-Qaeda is known to experiment with biological weapons. And this group has direct communication with other cells around the world.

“Contagious diseases, like ebola and anthrax, occur in northern Africa. It makes sense that people are trying to use them against Western governments.”

Dr Khrupinov, once arms adviser to Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev, added: “Instead of using bombs, people with infectious diseases could be walking through cities.”

Yes they really do believe in 72 virgins. But a crucial correction here.

The thing of it is, when they talk about enemies of Islam and those who wage war on Islam and or Muslims I think its very important to make a crucial distinction here.

They do not mean on those who would destroy Islam as there are none. They mean on those who oppose Islam’s imposition on the rest of us. To a Muslim, when you reject their rule and imposition of sharia law on yourself and your nation it is a war on Islam as this imposition is what Islam demands. So when watching this video I would recommend keeping that in mind. There is no one anywhere waging war on Islam. Not China Europe or the US no one. There are only those who wish to allow Muslims to practice their faith without imposing it on the rest of us, which is contrary to Islamic principles. Something that we in the west with our genuinely tolerant principles simply cannot grasp. If we could, we would pass laws against Islam as we did against Shintoism during WW2.

Melanie Phillips: on Britain’s surrender

Wall Street Journal (Europe), 20 January 2009

In Britain, the war in Gaza has revealed the extent to which the media, intelligentsia and political class have simply crumbled in the face of the global jihad.

The U.K. is a major player in European and world politics and is America’s most significant strategic ally. Until now, it has been considered one of Israel’s firm supporters and a linchpin of the Western defense against the world-wide Islamist onslaught. With the reaction to Gaza, however, that reputation is no longer sustainable.

Years of demonizing Israel and appeasing Islamist extremism within Britain have now coalesced, as a result of the media misrepresentation of the Gaza war as an atrocity against civilians, in an unprecedented wave of hatred against Israel and a sharp rise in attacks on British Jews.

Throughout the war, London’s streets have witnessed a hallucinatory level of violent and explicit support for Hamas from Muslims, members of the far left and supposedly progressive individuals.

Night after night, Israel’s embassy in well-to-do Kensington found itself under violent siege. Demonstrators attempted to storm the building, howling their support for the terrorist body whose genocidal intentions toward Israel and the Jews necessarily includes killing every one of the occupants inside.

Certainly, there have been anti-Israel protests around the world. But in Britain, not only have these been particularly violent but the authorities have done nothing to stop such incitement of hatred.

The police told pro-Israel demonstrators on at least one occasion to put away their Israel flags because they were ‘inflammatory.’ Yet officers allowed some anti-Israel demonstrators to scream support for Hamas — and even to dress up as hook-nosed Jews pretending to drink the blood of Palestinian babies.

A few worthy links for Jan. 19 2009

For the ‘maybe there is a god’ file an Al Queda training base is hit with bubonic plague. forty die and many more give themselves up as martyrdom suddenly didn’t seem nearly as good as it did before they got sick. Apparently even the fear of waterboarding is nothing compared to the rapid painful death of the black plague.

The Montreal Gazette reports that the city of Montreal in light of recent Muslim kill the jews and subjugate the infidels marches has decided to make wearing a face mask illegal during a demonstration mirroring similar laws in New York City. I suspect we may be too far gone for that. The police have neither the resources the will or the instructions to actually represent Canadian or QUebec values when they are facing tens of thousands of mostly non Canadians starting a new intefata. I suppose the one interesting thing for most of us is any questions many of us may have about how Hitler got into power and how the whole thing slid from a strong reasonable proud Germany to the Nazi nut regime and so on will all be answered as we see many normally liberal democracies slide towards theocratic fascistic states. Its quite instructive. It turns out that it is in fact not with a bang but with a whimper.

Speaking of Germany Nazism and sliding to fascism here is a rather depressing set of videos with some translation on Gates of Vienna. You may have to scroll up a bit as Gates links tend to take you to the second half of an article rather than the top. It’s well worth watching these two vids and reading what translation is available. Who would have thunk this could ever happen in Germany?

‘Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahoud, jaish Muhammad sawfa yaoud.
Which translates into “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.” That is a reference to Muhammad’s genocide on the Jews of Khaybar, and thus an implicit threat against Jews in general.

In between the first Hitler salutes in this video and the march with the Khaybar references are several short speeches, captured on video here:

Israeli’s react to the new rocket attacks on them by Hamas by mobilizing Israeli civilians voluntarily and providing blankets milk and other supplies to Gaza civilians who are in need as a result of the recent war. Think anyone will get the message? Doesn’t matter. That isn’t why they are doing it.

Captured Hamas map shows how they maximize civilian casualties by mining civil buildings with explosives. This wasn’t so much sloppy as it was intentional.

Hamas turn a Gaza neighborhood into a warzone. This map, confiscated Wednesday (Jan. 7) by IDF paratroopers operating in the north of Gaza, shows how Hamas uses an entire neighborhood, rigging it with explosive devices and putting the entire civilian population at great risk.

Last and far from least some really good news. Thousands of Turkish intellectuals organize and sign petition to acknowledge the genocide against the Armenians by the Ottoman Turks.

Canada angers Islamists

It would appear that Canada has been scratched of the guest list to sit down to dinner with the Islamists. No more invites; we’ve pissed off the Arabs and Muslim world with one fell swoop. How? Canada officially declared her support for Israel in the Gaza conflict and Israel’s right to defend herself against terrorism.

And now the bony finger of extremism and twisted logic wags itself at Canada in…….. anger.

A January 14 editorial in the Arab News condemns Canada’s decision to vote against a motion by the UN human rights council to vilify Israel in the Gaza conflict, the only country out of 47 to do so, and to demand an investigation into Israel’s human right’s violations. Canada did so, realizing the slanted position of the proposal which clearly intended to discredit Israel’s stance while simultaneously rendering Hamas blameless.

” With a stroke, Canada has lost it’s credibility, honour and friends in the Arab and Muslim world”.

Funny, I didn’t know we had any ‘friends’ in the Arab and Muslim world.

Certainly, this ommission to defend Hamas is seen as repugnant only among those who would wish that peace replace violence in Gaza via submission to terrorist ideology. The many well meaning? union organizations whose stance for justice and peace rely on condemning Israel, the anti-semites who protest at weekend rallies shouting Nazi rhetoric and of course, the ‘moderate’ Muslim organizations who belittle Canada and the United States at every turn are seething with rage at both the Conservative’s and Liberal’s official stance; that Canada denounce terrorism. The NDP is too busy handing out spare shoes and hot cocoa at the rallies to comment.  Not surprisingly, I found this article on the nation’s most prominent, Islamic, peace loving site, the CIC.

“Canada’s famed evenhandedness seems to have vanished. It has been replaced by blindness and hardheartedness. It is truly shocking”.

It IS a truly shocking and welcome turn, especially to Canadians who had all but given up on the government’s willingness to re-adjust it’s balls in the trousers of the nation and deligitimize terror states and their supporters through abject rejection. As for heardheartedness? The Arab and Muslim world have the monopoly on hardheartedness and heartlessness: just ask the innocent Palestinian people, the victims of Hamas and the countless other innocents around the world who have perished in the name of Islamic ‘peace and justice’.

There is a concerted push by Islamists to see Canada evolve into a safe haven for the imported hatred of Jews and sharia law that ensure intolerance, bigotry and misogyny. All one has to do is attend a pro-Hamas rally on any given weekend to witness the desire. The anger amongst them at Canada’s recent offical denunciation of Hamas combined with the ongoing willingness of Islamist sites and Muslim community newspapers to re-publish the sentiment should come as little surprise to anyone who understands the mandate. If we have indeed ‘thrown fairness to the wind’ as they claim, it is because our definition of fairness is a radically different one, as are the definitions of peace and social justice.

“Canada has, in the past rarely done anything to anger anyone”, states the Arab media editorial.

So be it.  Time to eat at home with a big ham and swiss on rye and a cold beer.
