British lord asks to arrest any British citizen who was in Israel during op cast lead

Once again the British Lord who threatened to have ten thousand rioting Muslims on the streets of London should Geert WIlders be allowed entry to England, has shown his true loyalties and values by asking that any UK citizen who was in Britain during operation Cast lead be arrested and tried for war crimes. As is typical for Muslims in the west and the double think and hypocracy we are getting all to used to now, this is a tad surreal.

Lord Nazir Ahmed is one of Britain’s most prominent Muslim leaders. This week, he questioned the British government about concerns that British Jews may have served in the Israeli Defense Force during Operation Cast Lead – the three-week bombardment of Gaza.

Lord Ahmed’s questions have brought attention to an issue that has significant legal and political implications but which few want to discuss in public.

The following is an exclusive Press TV interview with Lord Ahmed:

Press TV: Lord Nazir Ahmed, you raised question in Parliament about the legal implications of British Jews serving in the IDF. What was the response?

Lord Ahmed: I asked Her Majesty’s government if they were aware of British citizens who may have been involved with the war crimes committed by the Israeli Defense Force and Israeli Defense Reserves. Her Majesty’s government did not have any figures because dual nationals do not have to inform the government. However, there are reports in the Daily Mirror and The Sun with the names of British citizens who have been fighting in Gaza.

The point I was making is that war crimes have been committed, white phosphorous has been used and if there are people who have broken the 4th Geneva Convention, then whoever they are, when they return to this country, they should be arrested and charged – unlike the Major General who escaped in 2005.

Press TV: Are you certain these are up to date reports about British citizens serving in Israel?

Lord Ahmed: These are very new reports, dated January 2009, of British citizens who have gone out to fight against the Palestinian people as part of the IDF. Their names and ages are mentioned in these reports.
We know that there are student unions that have been actively recruiting young people in Britain to join the Israeli Defense Force and we also know that there are young Jewish students who go and serve on the kibbutz and also in schools, who are also then doing national service in Israel.

University workers within CUPE, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, have passed a motion calling for an academic boycott of Israel. Union members from at least one Toronto university plan to pressure their school to slice any financial ties with the Jewish state. The committee representing  the union’s university workers call on the union to create an education campaign on what proponents claim is Israel’s apartheid practices against Palestine.

CUPE president Sid Ryan said ” we want to do what we can in a peaceful way to end the occupation of Palestine”.  He would also like to investigate ties between Canadian universities and Israel. Jewish groups and some of CUPE’s own unions oppose the motion. “ Here we have a situation where a once proud nation has sunk so low as to have a small group put forward a motion that is, on it’s face, bigoted, discriminatory and anti-Jewish” said chief executive officer of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Bernie Farber.

Ryan’s latest statement and overall sentiment sound eerily familiar; much akin to the anti-Semitic sentiment and rhetoric that have so frequently appeared in essay and op-ed form on the Canadian Islamic Congress website. Note also, the union support given to such groups. Colonialization, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, persecution, the Zionist regime and genocide are all phrases popular with one of Canada’s most prominent Islamist propaganda machines; the CIC. Is this culture collusion? and if so, what’s in it for Sid? Perverted notoriety? or could the shared sentiment and solidarity be fuelled by the atrophied Troubles that may have followed him from the old sod just as failure, intolerance and bigotry have followed and shaped the radical Islam? This alliance may prove to be a sympathetic match made in heaven, with soul mates content in a common legitimization of bigotry fuelled by untold ignorance, arrogance and marked error.

CUPE has no business in Jew hating and anti-Semitism it is not an industry by which it should be affiliating or defining itself. Besides, it is well dominated by Islamist groups flourishing in this nation without the need of further assistance. Mr. Ryan also has no business collecting dues from a union populace whose majority wish to distance themselves from such hatefulness. Universities are places of higher learning  and should not be pimped out as platforms for Islamic radicals, Arab thugs and leftist goons to peddle their extremism. CUPE’s motion is a disgrace not an act of solidarity.

Phyllis Chesler has been writing recently on Islam and so called honor killings and domestic violence. She is quite probably the first and certainly one of the most knowledgeable authors on this subject who comes from a western background. This new article by Ms. Chesler is quite exceptional and brings into focus other lesser known femicides by Muslim men and details some of the reasons the western media as well as western feminist organizations have been ignoring Muslim killing of women. For those of you who have read her material on the Buffalo beheading of the TV station owner’s wife, don’t think you know this already and skip it. This is very good and needs to be read by all in my opinion.

Here is an article about the numbers of dead and so on in operation cast lead, the Israeli defense action in Gaza recently. The article gives hard numbers and deals with the Hamas propaganda machine and how they manipulated world opinion with fabrications. The damage however has been done. I came within moments of an actual fist fight at a local bar recently because my opponent, a regular middle aged white Canadian male, had bought the Palestinian party line hook line and sinker without question. The facts as he had accepted them, being entirely baseless made no difference. the damage was done. At one point I asked him how fe felt about the Israeli’s having bombed the UN school in Gaza. His answer was the predictable foaming outrage. When I pointed out that this event never actually happened and the school was never bombed even according to the UN itself it made no difference whatsoever except to enrage him further. So I post this link more as an example of how little difference the truth makes in the end as well as a mild catharsis for those of us who know the difference between right and wrong and truth and fiction.

Next, a link to a National Post article on the ‘new antisemitism’. It’s a worthy read but I really like this quote from Canada Prime Minister Stephen Harper speaking on the holocaust…

What do you know, the prime minister of Canada actually understands the issues facing the world today. This makes Canada and the Czech republic with possible seconds of Denmark and Italy and one lone voice out of Holland, pretty much all that’s left of western secular multilateral liberal democracies that have visited an opthamologist in the past 20 years.

This really is a good article and worth the few minutes to read. I must say, since Stephen Harper became Prime Minister of Canada I have felt more pride in my Canadian heritage than I have ever felt in my life.

The outgoing Kadima-Labor government’s anticipated decision to release a thousand terrorists, including several dozen mass murdering terror commanders, in the framework of a ceasefire deal with Iran’s Palestinian proxy Hamas is simply the latest troubling legacy that the Olmert-Livni-Barak government is leaving its successor.

Once the deal goes through, Hamas will be able to quickly expand the threat it poses to Israel. The jihadist group is already using the political legitimacy Israel is conferring on it to reestablish its unity government with Fatah. When that government is formed, the US and Europe will move hastily to recognize the terror group.

Hamas will use its increased legitimacy as a screen behind which it will expand its offensive capabilitiesThis is particularly true in the field of ballistic weapons.

We know this will happen because we have already seen what happened with the last Iranian proxy that Israel signed a ceasefire agreement with. Since Israel agreed to UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and brought its war with Hizbullah to an end in August 2006, Hizbullah has reasserted its political and military control over south Lebanon and has taken over the Lebanese government. Moreover, it has massively expanded its missile capabilities not only by tripling the size of its arsenal, but by tripling the range of its missiles.

In 2006, Hizbullah’s most powerful missile was a Fajr rocket with a 100 km range and a 50 kilogram warhead. Today, according to Avi Schnurr, executive director of the Israel Missile Defense Association, Hizbullah has an arsenal of Fatah-110 ballistic missiles with a range of 300 kilometers and a 600 kilogram payload.

While our media elites endlessly drone on about whether or not Likud is sufficiently “pro-peace” to satisfy Meretz and Kadima, our national discourse is ignoring the greatest threat this country faces: missiles.

Schnurr warns that today there are more missiles pointing at Israel in absolute numbers than at any other country on earth. While Israelis are properly concerned with suicide terrorism and Kassam rocket attacks, the fastest escalating threat that Israel faces come from ballistic missiles.

In addition to Iran’s Hamas and Hizbullah proxies, its client state Syria has a massive missile arsenal housed in hardened silos. Syria’s missiles are capable of attacking every square centimeter of Israeli territory. And of course, with its rapidly growing land and sea-based ballistic missile arsenal, Iran itself is the fastest growing missile threat facing Israel.

IN RECENT YEARS, rather than taking any immediate action to meet the growing threat, Israel has sufficed with launching long-term development programs that promise to provide protection for current threats in four to eight years. For instance, in response to Syria’s medium-range missiles, Israel is developing the David’s Sling anti-missile system that should be ready in eight years.

Israel could in the meantime upgrade its PAC-2 anti-missile batteries responsible for contending with medium-range missiles, with US-made PAC-3s. But the powers that be in the Ministry of Defense have decided that the PAC-3’s $100 million price tag is too high….

Two post office workers have got poison from mail, which was sent to Israel embassy at Norway. Workers received burn wounds in their hands and faces. Workers are now treated at Ullevål hospital and have not received more symptoms.

Anti-Israel activists attack Jewish club’s offices at York University in Toronto, shouting racial slurs

Another anti-Semitic incident took place in a Canadian university Thursday when over 100 anti-Israel activists surrounded a campus building belonging to the Jewish student club ‘Hillel’ at York University, Toronto. The activists pounded on office doors while yelling out racial slurs.

Campus security was forced to alert police to restore order and the latter demanded that the offices be shut down.

An anti-Israel march is also scheduled for Friday, and ‘Hillel’ leaders have called on Jewish students to arrive with Israeli flags in order to show support for the country.But anti-Semitism also took its toll outside of the campus. A Jewish student reported receiving a phone call during which an unidentified person threatened his life and those of his family members if he were to continue his pro-Israeli activities in the university.

Bert Camp, of York Police, said the case was being investigated by the hate crimes unit because the threatened student is a well-known pro-Israeli figure on campus. Camp said the threats were in all probability related to Israel’s offensive in Gaza.

York University, one of the largest in Canada, is home to many Jewish and Israeli students, and many of its faculty members are Jewish. But in recent years the number of Muslim students on campus has increased, and its student council has been characterized as anti-Israeli. The council published statements condemning Israel during its operation in Gaza.

The following is an eyewitness account of the harassment felt by Jewish members of the DROP YFS team while holding a press conference

Drop YFS held a press conference in a room that could only comfortably fit 30 people, to announce the success of our petition. After letting about 50 people in, we told people that they couldn’t come in, because we were at capacity, and didn’t want to break fire code.

Once the conference started, people started banging on the door, yelling “Let us in” and “Zionist Racists”.

The conference was canceled, and all the students were asked to leave. The students who left were greeted by a mob chanting slurs against them, chanting “this is OUR campus” and shoving some people.

The Jewish students who felt targeted, as well as some journalists, were invited to go up to Hillel, The Jewish student’s lounge, one floor up. They were followed up by about 100 people, who continued to chant, and some of whom approached the people watching the door.

The people watching the door retreated inside the lounge and locked the door once security arrived. Some people shoved past security and banged on the glass of the door.

Some Jewish students went out to confront the people banging on the door, and heard such comments as “leave our campus”, “Israelis off campus” and “Let’s break the glass and get them out”.

When a man with his face covered came to the door and banged on it, many students became terrified, began to cry, and some contacted the police.

When the police arrived, they told students to evacuate the room, and be escorted out. The Jewish students lined up, and walked out with their heads down, not saying anything or making eye contact, as instructed by the staff. They were escorted out of the area by police, as the mob of 100 or so chanted more racial slurs, and yelled “SHAME”.

Among the people seen leading the mob were Krishna Saravanamuttu, the York Federation of Students Vice President of Equity. I saw him after the rally shaking people’s hands and thanking them for coming.

Now of course we all know that Muslims routinly punish women for being raped but this is more brutal than usual and also more outragious as she was convicted of adultry and is not even married. In a globalized world we all know its a matter of months before sharia courts here in the west make the same calls with offical support. Frankly, It probably already is and any media that attempts to report on it is being threatened by Government and Muslims.

Here is a link from Islam online with the rationale for murdering anyone who decides they don’t believe in Islam and its authority anymore. Its boring reading but if you choose to try, remember this was written recently and not in the 9th century. Hard to believe I know. Its fairly thorough though in that religious wanky way where every varied circumstance is explored but ultimately its a rationale for killing people who decide not to pretend to believe in this particular fairy tale anymore.

One wonders how it came to be that the most savage brutal and irrational faction of humanity has somehow managed to have the most authority with bodies like the UN or courts in Canada Holland and other formerly enlightened nations. Wait never mind I think I answered my own question.

Speaking of the UN, the vast amount of corruption not only of individual people and agencies within the UN but of its purpose altogether has become so rank and obvious it seems it has to do a little damage control. Here we see that the UN has had to stop some aid to Gaza because Hamas steals it all, sells it to needy people (who have the cash) in Gaza and then buys more weapons from Iran.  The numbers of dead by the way even in this article have already been outed so to speak as being inflated probably by over half. The UN also admitted that Israel did not bomb the UNRWA school and that it was people outside the shcool that where killed in Israeli retaliatory strikes. Also the UN has admitted that many of its facilities where used to shelter terrorists and store weapons and munitions. I suppose this means that Israel is guitly of something after all. Not destroying all UN facilities in Gaza. This would have been a great blow to terrorism but so long as there are useful idiots who support the UN in a knee jerk fashion without regard to what it actually does, its bad PR.  Here is a link to a UN study showing that the UN does not do enough to filter out terrorists in its own employees.

UN backs down on claiming Israel hit UNRWA school

THE UN has retracted claims over one of the biggest controversies in the Gaza war, admitting that an Israeli mortar attack that killed 43 people did not hit a school run by a UN agency.

The January 6 incident, described at the time as the “school massacre”, figured prominently in accusations that Israel committed war crimes in the deaths of hundreds of civilians during the war.

A statement issued yesterday by the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Human Affairs acknowledged that it had wrongly blamed the deaths at the time on the “shelling of the UNRWA (Relief and Works Agency) school”.

“The humanitarian co-ordinator would like to clarify that the shelling, and all of the fatalities, took place outside rather than inside the school,” the statement said.

The clarification came several days after a journalist for Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper, Patrick Martin, interviewed Palestinians living near the school and a teacher, who told him that none of the casualties were in the school but on the street outside.

In a television interview the day of the incident at a Gaza hospital where casualties were brought, the UNRWA operations director in Gaza, John Ging, an Irish national, did not explicitly say the shells had hit the school but he left that impression.

Australian journalist in Gaza discusses the culture of death and hatred

But at least one journalist offers an honest opinion about what she see’s and knows from her time in Gaza instead of demonizing Israel for the prospect of career advancement as we see is the norm for the BBC and other mainstream news outlets in the west.
