UK Conservatives: The scandal of the 1922 Committee putsch

By Norman Tebbit, The Telegraph

So we have entered the era of the Big Society, New Politics, consensus, decentralisation and power to the people. Everywhere, that is, except in the Conservative Party.

The 1922 Committee has a long and important history. Its rules have been clear. It is not for Ministers. The Prime Minister was not a member of the original 1922 Committee. Nor were other Ministers, or Whips. It was a forum for the backbenchers.

Mr Cameron did not like that arrangement. He was perfectly entitled to take the view that it should be changed. I think that he was wrong to do so, but then I have not been a Member of the Commons for nearly 20 years, and much has changed since that time. What has not changed, however, are the rules of natural justice. Continue Reading →

Sharia Law for Non-Muslims – Chapter 1

From Bill Warner, Political Islam.com

This is a chapter from an upcoming book: Sharia Law for Non-Muslims. The book was designed to be short, only 48 pages. Many people do not want to know anything about Islam, but experience shows that they may have an interest in Islamic law. Since it doesn’t make any difference which part of a rope you pick up first, Sharia law is a great way to start learning about the true nature of Islam.

CHAPTER 1

Sharia in Europe Today

When you study Islam in Europe today, you are seeing America in 20 years. Why? The actions by Muslims in Europe are based on Sharia law, the same Sharia law that is beginning to be implemented in America today.

    · Traffic cannot move in London streets as Muslims commandeer the streets to pray-a political result based on Sharia law.
    · Entire areas of Europe are no-go zones for non-Muslims, this includes the police. These are Islamic enclaves where only Muslims live. The Muslim-only policy is based on Sharia.
    · In England an Anglican bishop calls for the rule of Islamic law for Muslims. The bishop is obeying Sharia law.
    · In the schools only Islamic approved texts can be used. This is based on Sharia law.
    · Christians may not speak to Muslims about Christianity nor may they hand out literature. This is a political result based on Sharia law enforced by British courts.
    · Rape by Muslims is so prevalent that Sweden has forbidden the police to collect any data in the investigation that would point to Islam. Rape is part of Islamic doctrine as applied to non-Muslim women.
    · In London mass demonstrations by Muslims call for the end of British law and Sharia law to rule all people. This political action is based on Sharia.
    · In some English hospitals, during Ramadan fast (an Islamic religious event) non-Muslims cannot eat where a Muslim can see them. The submission of non-Muslims is based on Sharia law.
    · At British hospitals, Muslim women are treated only as Sharia law demands. Continue Reading →

Telling the Truth About Mohammed is a Crime in Sweden

by Baron Bodissey

Child Bride
Here’s another news story that demonstrates the importance of Everybody Draw Mohammed Day: a man in southern Sweden is being prosecuted for his presentation of completely factual and authentic material about Mohammed and his child bride, Aisha.

What was the crime in question? A poster depicting Mohammed and Aisha, accompanied by these words:

He is 53, she is 9. Is that the kind of marriage we want to see in Skåne?

This information is straight out of the sunna, and is considered an unquestionable truth in Islam. Yet a Swede is being prosecuted for saying it.

Ted Ekeroth has kindly translated an article from Sydsvenskan about this farrago of justice (he also has a blog post in English on the same topic):

Justice Chancellor to prosecute Herslow

The chairman of the Skåne Party, Carl P. Herslow, displayed anti-Muslim posters during a public meeting. He is now being prosecuted for hets mot folkgrupp [“inciting racial hatred”]. Continue Reading →

The full 11 minute Lars Vilks attack film

I was tempted to post this as a kind of joke. I was going to make the header, ‘National Geographic Special. The wild people of Sweden’ or something like that. I haven’t even been all the way through it yet and I have to post it. The mentality, the paradigm of these people is stunning. A man explains to the police that he demanded the film be stopped and the film was not stopped. He says that as if everyone should understand the attacks that followed.

Here on Vlad, comments have pointed out that it is just and reasonable that Lars was attacked for insulting the prophet. This after a short definition of freedom of speech, as if stapling a bit of reason to the demand to submit to Muslim superstitions made it itself, reasonable.

In any case, watch this whole 11 minute version if you have the time. You can see the degree of separation between the mentality of Western people and Muslims even who are attending a Western university.

Facebook caves to Islam

Facebook Submits to Islam: Censors and Destroys “Everybody Draw Mohammad Day” Page
We’ve been promoting it. Pakistan flipped out over it and banned Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Flickr. Now Facebook has decided to submit to Islam and censor a page, or better yet,  a community of nearly 80,000 fans and over 6,000 photos uploaded…..  The Dhimmis who run Facebook are making the Islamists proud.

At the current moment, when clicking on the link for the “Everybody Draw Mohammad” page, it just takes us to the Facebook home page.  That means Facebook has removed the content.  However, Facebook is known for both its glitchiness and its indecisiveness in these matters.  They used to deactivate and reactivate the founder of the JIDF twice a month for about a year, before they finally made up their minds.  Thus, there is a slight chance that the page could magically crop up again.  Let us know if it does.

North Korea threatens all out war if punished

May 20, 2010 STRATFOR
North Korea continued its steadfast denials of involvement in the sinking of the South Korean warship ChonAn and said it would send its own investigators to conduct a probe, while warning that any punishment against the North would spark war, AP reported May 20. The all-out war to be undertaken will be a “sacred war involving the whole nation, all the people and the whole state,” a spokesman for North Korea’s National Defense Commission said, according to a report carried by the state-run Korea Central News Agency. Pyongyang warned the United States and Japan to “act with discretion.”

South Korea: Probe Confirms North Korean Torpedo Sank Ship

May 20, 2010  Stratfor:
An international probe found that North Korea attacked the ChonAn warship with a heavy torpedo in March, South Korea announced, Yonhap reported May 20. An international team of experts reached the conclusion after scrutinizing the wreckage of the 1,200-ton patrol ship and other evidence collected from the scene, including North Korean torpedo parts. The team confirmed that a few small submarines and a mother ship supporting them left a North Korean naval base in the West Sea 2-3 days prior to the attack and returned to port 2-3 days after the attack.

Everybody Draw Mohamed day!

Here is a post I have been looking forward to for a while. Below, a few videos made especially for Everybody Draw Mohamed Day.

The first, from Blazing Cat Fur. This video was actually featured on FOX news I am told!

It even has a great original song for the occasion. Maybe next year we will have a whole slew of catchy tunes like Christmas carols. Only for everybody Draw Mohamed day.

Thunderfoot did this one below with his usual excellent fiery rhetoric. One hopes perhaps partially with his influence, a classical education may come back into vogue and Western youth will get a grip on what is true and not true, and what is worth defending and not.

Normally I don’t go much for poetry, But I really like this!

Lastly, below, one I have been working on for about a week. Many friends of Vlad and Gates of Vienna and Tundra Tabloids etc. have been kind enough to submit some of their work to us for this project. I want to thank them very much, and if any of them wished to be named in the credits and where omitted, it is because when I was uncertain, I chose the course of their safety. However they can let me know and I will post their names and say which drawing here. Also, I didn’t have room to use all of them but man I got some fantastic stuff from people. So I will most certainly make some kind of a sequel fitting the mood of some of the drawings I got. For this one, I went for funny.

Also, Europe News offers this article on much of the pertinent details behind this fine and I hope, soon to be annual event. Next year, I want to see a parade in Montreal with a float of Mohamed in chaps.

UKIP: a party with fewer than 1m votes, no Commons seats – and the power to destroy Dave

By Gerald Warner, The Telegraph

The morning after polling day was not a good time for UKIP voters. As they scanned the still incoming results they felt a keen sense of disappointment. They had failed to break through the psychological barrier of one million Westminster votes, despite gaining nearly 2.5 million in last year’s European elections. Nigel Farage, their standard bearer, had come in third against the unspeakable Speaker in Buckingham and in many constituencies they were registering votes of just two or three thousand.

After the provocation afforded by 13 years of Labour rule and David Cameron’s reneging on a Lisbon Treaty referendum, the hoped-for breakthrough had not occurred. UKIP supporters were dispirited and their enemies did not hesitate to exploit this momentary decline in morale, rubbing salt into the wound with inventive claims of “victory” for the Conservatives. All of which demonstrates the inadvisability of rushing to judgment in the closing stages of a general election count. Today, the landscape looks completely different and, to UKIP eyes, bright and sunny. Continue Reading →

Democrats deny purple heart to Pvt. Long

Readers of Vlad I’m sure will be aware of the long standing plea we have made to award Pvt’s Long, who was killed in a terrorist attack at the recruiting center, as well as another man who was injured in the shooting, the Purple Heart award for being wounded in the line of duty.

Both men where in uniform. Both men where on duty. They where shot by an enemy of the United States and an avowed ally of the Islamist enemies of the USA.

Yet for political reasons, where denied the award.

Here is the video I did for these men when it happened, and below that, an excellent article by Diana West:

May 19

The House Armed Services Committee today approved an amendment to the 2011 defense authorization bill that declares the 2009 shootings at the Little Rock recruiting station and at Ft. Hood to be acts of war. Or at least a lawyerly equivalent as acts “of an enemy of the United States.” This provision will enable the government to provide, as Marine Times reports, a “one-time payment equal to what those killed and wounded would have received if they were in a combat zone at the time of the shootings.”

But no Purple Hearts.

Killed by Muslims professing jihad, these battle dead will lie in their graves unrecognized by the US government whose uniform they wore.

Another disgrace.

The Marine Times story hints at some distasteful Democrat bargaining over this  — bargaining  I’d like to know more about.

The addition of the June 1 Little Rock shooting to the amendment was part of a compromise on a provision pushed by Republicans to make a point that the war on terror has hit home. As part of the compromise, the final bill also was narrowed so that casualties of the two shootings are not eligible for a Purple Heart or other combat-related benefits that Republicans had wanted in the bill.

How do they live with themselves?

Pakistan bans facebook due to ‘Everybody Draw Mohamed’ day

Showing that we, unwashed multitudes, can influence events at the level of geopolitics, or perhaps that is what it always was, Pakistan bans Facebook to prevent people from seeing all the blasphemy. Vlad Tepes will hopefully be publishing our own video tonight at Midnight of our submission for this clearly august event.

Maybe we can get Pakistan to ban the internet altogether. Then perhaps we can get them to ban watching their own radars if we can get Moe images on those. Should make the job a lot easier for India.

From The Washington Post:

Pakistan blocks Facebook in response to ‘Everybody Draw Muhammad Day’ pages [UPDATED]

When is a cartoon not “just” a cartoon? Well, perhaps when an entire nation decides to ban its citizens’ access to Facebook over a page spawned by an illustration. An illustration that, in turn, was created to support an animated cartoon show.

A Pakistani court has ordered authorities to temporarily block the social-networking service over the Facebook-ignited campaign “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day,” according to Agence France Presse.

The campaign encouraging people to caricature Muhammad is scheduled for May 20. The primary Facebook page that arose in recent weeks to promote “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day” now has more than 40,000 “fans.” The page’s status updates, however, have been a frequent stream of vitriol — a hate-laced war of words and images.

According to AFP, a group of Islamic lawyers petitioned a court Wednesday for “a blanket ban” on Facebook in Pakistan. Justice Ejaz Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court ordered the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) to block Facebook until a May 31 hearing, AFP says.

“We have already blocked the URL link and issued instruction to Internet service providers,” said PTA representative Khurram Mehran, according to al-Jazeera. But Facebook users in Pakistan told AFP they could still access the site after the ban was imposed Wednesday. Continue Reading →

Times Square Bomber denied bail, wants halal meals in the clink

From The Ottawa Citizen

Accused N.Y. Times Square bomber denied bail

By Basil Katz, Reuters May 18, 2010 7:45 PM

NEW YORK – Suspected Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad was ordered held without bail on Tuesday in his first court appearance since his arrest two weeks ago.

Magistrate Judge James Francis remanded Shahzad in custody after his court-appointed defense lawyer, Julia Gatto, opted not to challenge the prosecutors’ request that he remain jailed pending trial in Manhattan federal court.

Shahzad, 30, remained expressionless and silent as the judge read the charges. He spoke only once to say a statement about his finances was correct. Shahzad entered the courtroom unshackled, wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey sweat pants with white gym shoes, and was handcuffed before being led to jail.

Shahzad did not enter a plea and the next court date was scheduled for June 1.

The Pakistani-born man, who became a U.S. citizen last year, is accused of parking a crude car bomb in New York’s crowded Times Square on May 1. He was arrested aboard a Dubai-bound jetliner two days later.

He has been charged with 5 felonies, including attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and trying to kill and maim people. He faces life in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors said Shahzad has admitted to the failed Times Square bomb attack and has been co-operating with investigators since his arrest on May 3.

Prosecutors said Shahzad, who has a wife and two children in Pakistan, had traveled to a Taliban and al-Qaida stronghold in Pakistan to receive bomb-making training.

The Pakistani Taliban, called Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for the attempted bombing.

Prosecutors say Shahzad has waived his right to remain silent and has provided valuable intelligence since his arrest, but a prominent defense lawyer on Tuesday raised questions about the unusually long time between Shahzad’s arrest and his first appearance in court.

Defense lawyer Ron Kuby, who does not represent Shahzad, called the elapsed time “unprecedented” and suggested Shazhad might have been “buried in the bowels of a Manhattan version of Guantanamo.”

Asked by Judge Francis if Shahzad had willingly given up his right to be presented in court sooner, Assistant U.S. Attorney Randall Jackson, one of the prosecutors in the case, said “yes.”

It remained unclear when Shahzad met with a defense lawyer for the first time. Gatto, the court-appointed lawyer who sat by Shahzad’s side at Tuesday’s 9-minute hearing, declined to speak with reporters.

At the hearing, U.S. Marshals emptied the court room ahead of the proceeding for a security sweep. Law enforcement officials formed a tight cordon inside the room, where about 20 journalists were allowed in.

Gatto asked the judge that specific instructions be sent to the Bureau of Prisons for Shahzad to receive halal meals.

Shahzad has been charged with five felonies in the May 1 incident: attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, attempting acts of terrorism transcending national boundaries, using a destructive device in an attempted violent crime, transporting and receiving explosives, and trying to damage and destroy property with fire and explosives.

Shahzad lived in the neighboring state of Connecticut and had recently returned to the United States after spending several months in Pakistan.

Several people have been arrested in Pakistan in the case and U.S. authorities carried out raids last week in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maine, detaining three people.

A U.S. official said White House National Security Adviser James Jones and CIA Director Leon Panetta were in Pakistan to discuss the Times Square case and other matters, noting that the Pakistanis were “doing more” in the way of co-operation.

“The Pakistanis have done some good work on the Shahzad case,” the official said. “It’s important for them to have as fresh a picture as possible of how the United States views the threat from the tribal areas.”

Anti-establishment group claims it firebombed Ottawa Royal Bank branch

Proving that the Leftist, violent, special Olympics is not limited to Europe, today a group of “anti establishment” (I haven’t heard that term since the 70s) claimed to have firebombed a bank branch in Ottawa’s west end. This of course will only have the effect of making life more inconvenient for the average schmoe as well as making life more expensive for the poor as security costs rise. A hint to the police if they want to catch them. Start by looking at recent university graduates. I bet long odds thats that was where they learned their crypto-economics that motivates this short-bus terrorism.

Way to go Left-tards.

(No offence at all to people with Downs Syndrome. Typically they are the nicest and most well meaning of people completely unlike the total idiots who did this)

From the Ottawa Citizen:

h/t Grace

OTTAWA — An anti-establishment group claimed responsibility for the firebombing of a Glebe bank early Tuesday morning.

The group also vowed to “be there” at the upcoming G8 and G20 summits in an online video that shows a massive fireball exploding from the front window of a Royal Bank of Canada branch on Bank Street and First Avenue.

In the short clip, one person emerges from the branch’s side door and is then silhouetted against a vivid orange flash. Another person follows him out the door and the pair begin to head east across First.

The video abruptly cuts to scrolling text.

“The Vancouver Olympic games are over, but a torch is still burning,” the text reads. Continue Reading →
