Once again we see the dangerous and irritating slight of hand of moral and cultural relativism as Michael’s guest tries to make the utterly irrelevent point that other religions can advocate violence.
Not only is it moral relativism as the context is utterly different, but even if she was right does that make importing more forms of violent savagery OK?

TOULOUSE, France — The French Jewish school where three children and a teacher were murdered this month has received a wave of anti-Semitic hate mail and calls, the local prosecutor said Wednesday.
Michel Valet said he had received a complaint from the school and had ordered a police investigation to discover the “origin of these calls and letters and the identities of those behind them.”
The Ozar Hatorah school was at the centre of a national drama on March 19, when self-declared al-Qaeda operative Mohamed Merah pulled up on his scooter and attacked a crowd of pupils and parents waiting for class.

This warmed my heart. And of course he is absolutely correct. Having a gang of thugs be it on the internet or at your door with brass knuckles are still thugs. The idea that they would blackmail an elected MP to force him to change policy, even policies I disagree with, disgusts me. I hope they find these guys and move them to North Korea for a while.

Yesterday I posted about how Muslim thugs in Berlin were promising revenge after a German man they were attacking stabbed one of them to death.
These are pictures from the dead Muslim’s funeral procession. There were shouts of “Allahu Akbhar!” As PI noted, these photographs could have come from the Gaza Strip.
On police advice, the German man who killed the Muslim in self-defence has moved out of the area with his family to stay with relatives.

Below is video taken at the event. Some interesting historical perspectives there as well. One was lacking though. The man initially lecturing the camera-holder, the man subsequently ‘Van-Gogh’d’ shortly after the start of the video, was being told how Jews actually lined up for the death camps.
I think someone should have explained to him how slavery never happened in the US and Europe but black people swam to the boats and begged for passage cause they heard of all the great planation and farm jobs once a literate white guy read the posters for them. Alas he was spared that negation of the colored-people’s sacred narative.

North Korea threatens to punish mobile-phone users as ‘war criminals’

North Korea has warned that any of its citizens caught trying to defect to China or using mobile phones during the 100-day mourning period for Kim Jong-il will be branded as “war criminals” and punished accordingly.

There are reports from within the isolated state that food supplies are again dwindling and that there has been an increase in the number of people attempting to cross the border into China. Many of those that do manage to cross the frontier eventually manage to reach South Korea, where an estimated 23,000 defectors have now settled.
The Workers’ Party has issued the stern warning in an effort to deter more from attempting the already perilous journey, apparently in an effort to ensure the stability of the new regime of Kim Jong-un, who took over from his father, according to Good Friends, a South Korean relief group.
People who are caught attempting to flee the poverty and political oppression in the North, as well as those detained in China and sent back over the border, usually end up in the North’s network of hard labour camps, human rights groups have reported, while repeat offenders can expect to be executed.
Kim Jong-il died on December 17 after suffering a heart attack that North Korean media has reported was brought on by overwork. He was 69.
The regime has been weakened by years of economic mismanagement and stagnation and there are apparently fears in Pyongyang that the death of Kim could trigger public unrest.

A Muslim man who raped women to ‘teach them a lesson’ for being on the streets at night was jailed indefinitely today because of the danger he poses to women.
Sunny Islam, 23, who comes from a strict Muslim family, dragged his terrified victims – including a 15-year-old – from the street at knifepoint, bound and assaulted them during a two-month reign of terror.
Police fear that Islam may have attacked many more.
Three of the assaults took place close to his home in Barking, east London, while a fourth occurred in nearby Forest Gate.
Judge Patricia Lees, sentencing him to a minimum of 11 years, said: ‘The harm you have done to your victims is incalculable.
‘The nature and extent of these offences drives me to the conclusion that you represent an extreme and continuing danger to women, particularly those out at night.’
He was traced through the number plate of his girlfriend’s car after he kidnapped and raped the 15-year-old in September 2010.
He grabbed her from behind as she walked home with a friend and bundled her into the car at knifepoint before driving to a secluded spot where he raped her twice despite her claiming she was only 11 years old.
Judge Lees said: ‘You told her you were going to “teach her a lesson”, and similar things were said to the other women.
‘Those words are a chilling indictment of your very troubling attitude towards all of these victims.
‘You seem to observe women out at night as not deserving respect or protection.
After his arrest, Islam’s DNA was linked with three other attacks near his home in Barking, east London
‘I have no doubt that you were out that night looking for a victim, as you were on each of these occasions.’
The teen, who feared she would be murdered, was in court and smiled as her attacker was jailed.
Rally for Free Expression: One Law for All

The One Law for All (OLFA) campaign will be holding a rally for free expression in London on 11 February between 14:00 and 16:00. OLFA campaigns against the encroachment of religious laws, in particular the rapidly growing reach of Sharia within the UK, and for the observance of the principle of one secular law for all. This principle provides the necessary preconditions for freedom of thought and expression, but alas of course does not necessarily guarantee them (e.g. witness the many pieces of legislation regarding thoughtcrimes against ‘diversity’, etc).
The reason for calling this protest at this point in time is explained by its organisers Maryam Namazie and Anne Marie Walters as follows:
The call follows an increased number of attacks on free expression in the UK, including a 17 year old being forced to remove a Jesus and Mo cartoon or face expulsion from his Sixth Form College and demands by the UCL Union that the Atheist society remove a Jesus and Mo cartoon from its Facebook page. It also follows threats of violence, police being called, and the cancellation of a meeting at Queen Mary College where One Law for All spokesperson Anne Marie Waters was to deliver a speech on Sharia. Saying ‘Who gave these kuffar the right to speak?’, an Islamist website called for the disruption of the meeting. Two days later at the same college, though, the Islamic Society held a meeting on traditional Islam with a speaker who has called for the death of apostates, those who mock Islam, and secularist Muslims.

A young Palestinian woman who was imprisoned for 10 years in a series of dark rooms by her father revealed today she survived the ordeal by listening to the radio, dreaming of seeing sunshine again and finding small pleasure in an apple she was fed each day.
Baraa Melhem, 20, said she was enjoying her first taste of freedom after a decade of isolation and threats of rape and abuse, and she hopes to use her experience to help others.
‘I have joy now. My life has begun,’ the young woman, dressed in red sweat pants, white shoes, a black shawl for warmth and a headscarf, said.
Miss Melhem was rescued by Palestinian security forces in the West Bank town of Qalqiliya on Saturday after an aunt notified police. Adnan Damiri, a Palestinian police spokesman, said she was in ‘deplorable’ condition.
Her father and stepmother, both Arab citizens of Israel, were turned over to Israeli authorities. Locked up in Israel, neither could be reached for comment. The father, Hassan Melhem, 49, is expected to appear in an Israeli court on Wednesday, said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld. The stepmother’s name wasn’t available.
Speaking softly but confidently, Miss Melhem said she was beaten, barely fed and let out only in the middle of the night to do housework. She was given only a blanket, radio and a razor blade by her father and stepmother, and both of them encouraged her to kill herself. Continue Reading →
