Terror suspects guilty in planned Jyllands-Posten attack

A jury in Glostrup ruled today that the four men charged with terrorism for planning an assault on the Copenhagen offices of Jyllands-Posten newspaper are guilty.

Found guilty were Swedish citizens Munir Awad, Omar Abdalla Aboelazm and Sahbi Ben Mohamed Zalouti, and Mounir Ben Mohamed Dhahri, a Tunisian national. All four were arrested in December 2010 after joint surveillance by Danish and Swedish security services uncovered the plot in which the men vowed to “kill as many people as possible” during a planned attack on the 2010 Årets Fund, a high-profile sports awards ceremony that is held in the Jyllands-Posten building. Jyllands-Posten has been the target of Islamic-inspired terror ever since it published cartoons of the prophet Mohammed in 2005, drawing the ire of Muslims around the world.

Awad, Aboelazm and Dhahri were arrested at a flat in the Copenhagen suburb of Herlev on 29 December 2010.They had travelled to Denmark by car the night before. Zalouti was arrested at his apartment in Stockholm and later extradited to Denmark.

France: Three Jews Beaten With Hammers, Iron Bars by Islamic Youths

French Jewish youths.

Three yarmulke wearing Jewish youths were brutally assaulted on Saturday night by a mob of over a dozen who beat them with hammers and Iron bars. The incident took place in Villeurbanne, near Lyon in southeast France. French blogs reported that the crime was carried out by Islamic youths.

The victims were hospitalized suffering various wounds and were subsequently released according to French newspaper L’Express. Police forces have begun a manhunt in search of the suspects.

On Sunday the Interior Ministry said that they believe the assault to be motivated by antisemitism.

Minister Manuel Valls, denounced the attack in a statement calling the act “extremely serious” and “a deliberate attack against our republican model that should enable everyone, without distinction, to live freely and safely expressing his religious affiliation “.

The assault comes just months following the brutal massacre of four by an Islamic terrorist at a Jewish school in Toulouse.

In reaction to the incident, French Jewish artist Ron Agam told the Algemeiner that, “It is about time now for the French authorities to radically search for these Imams and put a stop to the brainwashing on tens of thousands of Muslim kids in France.”

“It is unacceptable that this culture of racism and antisemitism is being tolerated by a significant number of the Muslim community, this culture must stop,” he concluded.

Referring to the fact that the attackers appear to be of North African origin, he called to “be wary of racial profiling” while evoking the tensions between Arab and Jewish communities around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, “with the identification of Jewish Zionist “.

A lecturer at Karolinska institutet has been arrested for an elaborate abuse of his wife. 

He suspected her of having been untrue, and attacked her in a rage, using a knife. 

“He cut off her lips, then ate them”, says a person close to the file. 

The event took place at the couple’s home in south Stockholm. The degree of violence was such that the public prosecutor wanted the man arrested for attempted murder. 

During the preliminary hearing held recently behind closed doors, tingsrätten [lower-instance court] stated that the suspicions [against him] would qualify for particularly grave abuse, something that will possibly change again during the course of the investigation.

‘Honour-related’

The lecturer who is a prominent researcher in his domain recognises the factual circumstances. 

‘It is honour-related, he doesn’t seem to regret anything, he thinks that it was her who mortified him’, says a person close to the file. 

Advokat Ingela Hessius Ekman represents the wife, who now is staying at a secret location. 

‘Of course, she isn’t fine, neither psychically nor physically.’

‘She has very severe damages, the doctors cannot yet state to what degree she can be restored, or if at all. It will take time before this can be judged, if it is possible to do something and what in this case can be done.’

Has several children

The lecturer has been married before and has several children from this marriage. Some weeks after he divorced his earlier wife, he married again, a considerably younger woman. 

According to Aftonbladet’s [this paper] information, he recently got the impression that she was deceiving him. Therefore he decided to punish her and cause her damage for the rest of her life. 

‘It was meant [by him] not be possible to re-attach her lips.’

The lecturer will now have to undergo a little mental examination, in order to find out if some serious psychological derangement can be suspected.

A radio host has been hospitalized after being cut 15 times by an unidentified criminal. Two weeks ago the journalist ventured to criticize the founder of Islam, the Prophet Mohammed, on air.

­Sergey Aslanyan, 46, was brought to Moscow’s hospital with numerous non-penetrating knife wounds to the chest, neck and arm.

According to the police report, on late Monday evening an unknown man called to Aslanyan’s flat over the building intercom and called him outside for a talk. When the journalist stepped out of the entranceway he was knocked over the head with a heavy object, after which the assailant brought the knife into play.

Aslanyan claimed that the attacker was shouting “you are Allah’s enemy!” while slashing at the victim.

Police say the abuser was a slim man of about 30, while according to some witnesses there were several attackers.

As of now the journalist is conscious and his condition is stable. His relatives and friends are free to visit him in his flat, which is guarded by police. Investigators say they do not have a primary lead, but hope to identify the perpetrator using porch surveillance camera data.

The flames at Ahmed Shafiq’s offices are believed to have been started by the same young revolutionaries who overthrew Mr Mubarak and who have warned that they would not accept any of his former henchman as their president.

Mr Shafiq, a former air force general, essentially took day-to-day control of the Egyptian government last year as anti-Mubarak crowds gathered in Tahrir Square.

No one was was reported hurt after the demonstrators vandalised the Cairo offices and set them on fire.

A gang of thugs kidnapped a 14-year-old and told his parents they would chop his head off if they didn’t pay a £40,000 ransom, a court heard.

Abdal Miah, 29, Liban Mohammed, 20, Anjam Shaffique, 30, and Carlos Treazure, 27, are on trial accused of snatching the unnamed youngster off the street.

The terrified teen was allegedly taken outside an off-licence in Sheffield, South Yorks., dragged into a car, and driven to a rural village – where he was eventually released eight hours later.

Sheffield Crown Court heard the teenager had a hood placed over his head, and was forced to make phone calls to his father and mother relaying his abductors’ ransom demands.

Alistair MacDonald QC, prosecuting, said the youngster was talking to friends outside Bir’s Beers on Staniforth Road, when he was snatched at around 4pm on October 31 last year.

He said a man approached him and asked whether he was responsible for smashing up his Vauxhall Astra car.

‘The man gripped the boy’s wrist and tried to drag him away,’ Mr MacDonald said.

This is an especially pernicious clip as it uses moral relativism so well.

Part of the overarching islamic plan of course is implementing sharia and ‘dhimmifying’ non-muslims by incrementalism. To make unreasonable but tiny demands on us that violate our sacred principles, principles such as freedom of expression, secularism and most especially, the hard won right to criticize irrational religious authority earned thanks to millions of deaths prior to the enlightenment, in order to replace them with their fetishized sacred principles.

Here we see a variety of forms of sophistry expertly used. But the main theme of it would appear to be what Mark Steyn has so deftly referred to as,

“I’m a peaceful fellow myself, but I can’t speak for my excitable friends. Nice little G7 advanced western democracy you got here. Shame if anything were to happen to it.”

Egypt court gives 12 Christians life sentences in case set off by religious tension

CAIRO — An Egyptian court sentenced 12 Christians to life in prison and acquitted eight Muslims on Monday in a case set off by religious tensions in the country’s south.

The Christians were found guilty of sowing public strife, the possession of illegal weapons and shooting dead two Muslims in April of last year in Minya province, about 220 kilometers (135 miles) south of Cairo.

The religious tension in Minya spilled over into violence last year when a Muslim microbus driver, angered by a speed bump outside a wealthy Christian man’s villa, got into a scuffle with security guards who beat him.

After returning to his village of Abu Qurqas that evening, he rounded up the villagers who then gathered outside an ultraconservative Islamist group’s main office there to protest his beating. According to rights researcher Ishak Ibrahim, the Christians nearby thought they were going to be attacked and shot from their rooftops down at the crowd, killing two and wounding two others.

For several days after, angry villagers torched dozens of Christian homes and stores.

Police outside a Tower Hamlets polling station called reinforcements today after a candidate alleged  that he had been threatened by activists from rival parties.

Chris Smith, standing for the Greens in the London Assembly elections, claimed that one activist threatened to “punch his lights out” when he complained about the crowd handing out Respect and Labour leaflets outside St Matthias Primary, off Brick Lane.

Officers were today guarding polling stations across Tower Hamlets after the Met launched a formal investigation into allegations of electoral fraud in the borough. Police were called in after reports of voter intimidation outside polling stations at previous elections.

It was feared today that activists were “harassing” potential voters. Mr Smith said: “I came down here at about 10am and there were at least 20 Labour and Respect activists handing out leaflets just outside. Election rules state very clearly that each party is only allowed one teller outside each polling station, the rest must be a safe distance away.

“I complained to the official inside and when I came back out the Respect guy started mouthing off to me. When I told him what they were doing is not allowed, he threatened to punch my lights out.

“It’s amazing that this is still going on around here. The groups that gather outside are very intimidating. With all the problems we’ve had in Tower Hamlets this is the last thing we need.”

When I look back on it now what surprises me is how disarmingly polite my attackers were.

“What are you doing?” asked one of the two, seemingly inquisitive, Asian teenagers who approached me on a quiet cul-de-sac in Bow, east London, shortly after 1pm yesterday.

“There’s been a photographer around here, do you know her?” he added.

I didn’t, but I explained I was a journalist for The Independent looking to speak to a man at an address in the area, who was standing as a candidate in the local elections, about allegations of postal vote fraud. “Can we see your note pad,” the boy asked.

I declined and then the first punch came – landing straight on my nose, sending blood and tears streaming down my face. Then another. Then another.
