ALGERIA: PROSTITUTES TARGETED BY EXTREMISTS
In case anyone needs yet another reason why sharia law is a ferociously bad idea there is this story below. Islam pretty much gives power to judge, jury and execute to all believers. You can literally kill someone if you believe they have broken some component of Mohamed’s obscenities and rantings. If the victim is a woman, there is even less chance that the remnants of secular law, where the state has authority, will bring the Muslim to task for his actions.

(ANSAmed) – ALGIERS, JULY 7 – In addition to being called the oldest profession in the world, in Algeria prostitution may also become the most dangerous, or at least in the city of M’sila, where over the past few weeks Islamic extremism has fostered an anti-prostitution crusade steadily taking on the semblances of a ruthless ”hunt”. A few days ago, the Chebilia district saw fresh violence break out with an ”expedition” which only by pure chance did not result in mass casualties. About 400 young men attacked and set fire to a building in which two female prostitutes worked, with the attackers’ rage not even taking into consideration that many families also lived in the building and had absolutely nothing to do with prostitution. The attack, carried out by hundreds of young men, ended with a fire set to a first floor flat which quickly spread to the upper floors, leading to scenes of terrorised people trying to escape the flames. While the fire consumed everything in its path, the smoke reached many other buildings nearby and forced hundreds to flee. In reporting the incident, El Watan placed the blame on police who – instead of going into the streets and arresting the young extremists – simply stayed in the police station, leaving de facto control of the district to them. Their behaviour was called a ”bona fide mess” by El Watan, which published a vignette alongside the story in which an old man dressed as an Islamic priest harangues a mass of young people looking lost and almost as if they were unwitting automatons in the hands of their manipulator. Unfortunately, Chebilia is by no means new to this sort of punitive expedition. A few weeks ago another anti-prostitution raid ended with the death of a man and almost the lynching of some women who barely managed to survive but were forced to leave the city. The concern expressed by many is that the Islamic fundamentalist fostering these incidents may turn into a ”prostitute hunt”, like the one seen in the 1990s in the city of Ouargla, where many women were burnt alive amid enthusiastic yelling of those killing them. Last year’s Journey of Faith conference saw over 10,000 Muslims and a scattering of non-muslims in attendance, all eager to take in themany speeches of renowned Islamic scholars from around the world.

Follow-up Report: Yosef Nadarkhani’s Death Penalty for Apostasy

HRANA News Agency – According to the latest unconfirmed reports, Iranian Supreme Court has found deficiencies and flaws in the case related to Yosef Nadarkhani’s death penalty on charges of apostasy. Family members close to Yosef Nadarkhani have reported that Iranian Supreme Court’s opinion includes three options:
- The case may be returned to the lower court for re-examination.
- Previous charges may be withdrawn while new charges are filed.
- The case may be closed, and charges dropped.
Since the ruling by Iranian Supreme Court hasn’t officially been delivered to Yosef Nadarkhani’s attorneys, they were unable to confirm the details reported by his family. Verbal information given to the defendant and family members indicates that citing article 167 of Iranian Constitution, Gilan Province Court, Branch 11, intends to question the defendant again in order to determine whether he believes in Islam or not. If he is a Muslim, Yosef Nadarkhani must be released. If it is determined that he is a Christian, he may repent from his faith. Grace: A few questions for the Toronto public school that has a mosqueteria on Fridays.
Grace left a comment under the story about the Toronto public school that I thought was worthy of being a post on it’s own. However I think I could add a few questions of my own and will in the comments. Please feel free to add your own:

No group should expect to have their religious needs met in any public secular institution, especially schools. There is no other religion in Canada that demands so much from our secular institutions. No pork products in school cafeterias, halal cafeteria menus for all school children, female-only swim times in public pools, demands for special clothing requirements in gym, calls for exemptions from music classes, calls for segregated phys-ed, niqabis insisting that their male classmates either be removed from class or they turn their backs in their presence and now, the demand for separate prayer rooms in public schools outfitted with mats and Qur’ans.
I have a few questions. First of all, where do these Muslim kids wash before and after praying in the cafeteria? Is time set aside for that requirement with basins and towels provided along the same lunch counter that burgers and fries are dished out? Are teachers mandated to help shift around tables and chairs to make room on the floor when they resist staying after school hours to assist in extra-curricular sports/drama activities? Are boys only allowed to attend and if so, where do Muslim girls go to pray- are they relegated to the bathroom? Who has paid for the mats and Qura’ns? Were they purchased from the school budget while other designated ‘special’ activities are paid through fundraising? And what of the sanitation issue of kids walking around the cafeteria floor with their socks on? Students eat in this common room. Any parent whose had children knows well that even the cleanest of feet can exit sneakers smelling like a garbage dump, not to mention the fact that numerous arses have been uplifted toward mecca.
And what of the fact that praying can be done and is often done, without having to go to any special room? Surely some kid can say a few silent swipes of the Qur’an as he’s walking from one class to another.
If a room is to be designated for religious purposes, then I suggest one multi-faith room be open to all students on Fridays. Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Baha’i, Hindu, Sikh, Scientologist, Rastafarian, atheists, etc. could share the space. Of course, the Muslims would hate this, and no doubt would be highly offended that the infidels would be using their special place to carry on their wicked, idol worship. But if we’re to accommodate one, we’ll have to accommodate all, and if that’s unsuitable to them, they are free to stop using taxpayer funded public schools as makeshift mosques and fund their own schools.
Dutch vote to ban religious slaughter of animals
A small step for a cow, but a giant leap for farm animal kind.
Let all nations on earth follow suit and soon. When those religious nuts of all flavors agree to give up any and all technology that has come since the year 700 AD, then I might consider allowing a religious exemption for barbaric slaughter. But if you are going to drive a car, use a phone, take modern medicine or have temperature controls, live in a non-mud home, then sorry, learn to eat meat that has been killed humanely.
(Reuters) – The Dutch parliament voted on Tuesday to ban ritual slaughter of animals, a move strongly opposed by the country’s Muslim and Jewish minorities, but left a loophole that might let religious butchering continue.
The bill by the small Animal Rights Party, the first such group in Europe to win seats in a national parliament, passed the lower house of parliament by 116 votes to 30. It must be approved by the upper house before becoming law.
It stipulates that livestock must be stunned before being slaughtered, contrary to the Muslim halal and Jewish kosher laws that require animals to be fully conscious.
“This way of killing causes unnecessary pain to animals. Religious freedom cannot be unlimited,” said Marianne Thieme, head of the Animal Rights Party, said before the vote. “For us religious freedom stops where human or animal suffering begins.” Continue Reading →

As this is back in the news nearly constantly now, and as many people interviewed seem to be saying, nearly in code, that the problem is much much larger than we know and that the children are younger than we think, I thought I would put a few clips together that I have had over the past year or so for a bit of perspective. I am confident though that there is much more, that this is sanctioned by aspects of the Muslim communities in Western nations and that the problem is much more serious than it would appear even here.
No Ban on Jewish and Islamic Slaugher after All
So much wrong with this story and most of it is in what is not said.
Why is there no law demanding that all animals slaughtered without the proper humane laws Western civilization have fought to achieve for so long, are labeled as such. If they can’t find it in them to enforce their own laws demanding humane slaughter, then why can they not at least give rational citizens the ability to know what is ‘halal’ and what is humane. I believe that kosher meat is marked but if not, the same needs to apply although frankly, either we have secular laws for the sake of animal welfare or we do not but allowing anyone who wants an exception to have one makes a mockery of secular law altogether.

THE HAGUE, 23/06/11 – There will be no ban on the unanaesthetised slaughter of animals that is carried out in Jewish and Islamic abattoirs. The Lower House majority that earlier existed for such a ban has evaporated.
The Lower House wants unanaesthetised ritual slaughter to remain possible after all, providing Jews and Muslims can show that this does not cause more suffering for animals than anaesthetised slaughter. Labour (PvdA) and centre-left D66 have received support from the conservatives (VVD) and leftwing Greens (GroenLinks) for a plan giving the abattoirs a year and a half to demonstrate that their method of slaughter is animal-friendly. If they do not succeed, then there could be a ban after all.
PvdA and D66 did earlier back a proposed bill from the Party for Animals (PvdD) on a ban of unanaesthetised slaughter. But under pressure from their Islamic supporters, both parties went back on this.
The VVD also began to have doubts. Its honorary member and former party leader Frits Bolkestein vehemently opposed the PvdD proposal, defending the Jewish tradition.
The Christian parties CDA, ChristenUnie and SGP also put forward an amendment to the PvdA bill yesterday. Under this amendment, unanaesthetised ritual slaughter would be banned unless a licence had been awarded for this.
CDA, ChristenUnie and SGP want abattoirs to be able to obtain a licence if the slaughtering process is under the constant supervision of a vet. Additionally, the animal has to have lost consciousness 45 seconds at most after having its throat cut. The vet can still stun the animal if he finds animal welfare is being damaged.

If there is one thing Baroness Caroline Cox is not afraid of it is whipping up controversy. For almost three decades the Christian peer has sat in the House of Lords campaigning on one obscure issue to another, desperately trying to alert Britain’s political elite to some of the world’s forgotten conflicts. Nagorno-Karabakh, southern Sudan, Burma, Nigeria: If there is an ignored conflict – particularly one in which Christians are facing persecution – you can bet the 73-year-old will have been there.
“I seem to spend half my life in a jungle, a desert or half way up a mountain,” she says, explaining her return from Burma, which she entered illegally to report on rights abuses against minority tribes. She will soon travel back to Sudan, which is lurching back towards civil war.
She often enters war zones under fire – no one could deny that Baroness Cox is brave. But the tactics she uses often raise eyebrows. In the 1990s, she infuriated anti-slavery groups when she began travelling into Sudan to buy slaves from Arab traders with money raised by evangelical churches.
By her own reckoning she spent somewhere in the region of £100,000 freeing more than 2,000 slaves during 55 trips to Sudan – one of the few countries at the time where slavery was still openly practised, often with deliberate government backing. Continue Reading →

THE Muslim woman accused of lying about police trying to tear her burqa off has avoided jail – because her identity could not be proven.
Carnita Matthews, 47, from Woodbine, in Sydney’s southwest, had been sentenced to six months in jail for making a deliberately false statement that a policeman tried to forcibly remove her burqa because he was a racist.
But judge Clive Jeffreys said yesterday he was not satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that it was Mrs Matthews who made the racism accusation because the person who complained to police was wearing a burqa at the time.
The absurdity of the law is that, to reach the level of proof of identity to make the case, Mrs Matthews would have been required to identify herself by lifting her burqa at the police station – what started the uproar in the first place.
More than a dozen Muslim supporters linked arms and began chanting “Allah Akbar” as they stormed out of Downing Centre Court with Mrs Matthews concealed behind them.

Terrorists attack bank because it has blasphemous floor tiles.
I dont get it. When someone finds a grilled cheese or a latke that has the word allah seemingly written on it, or even a rash as one (as I recall) Pakistani boy had, then everyone rushes to worship it. But when floor tiles at a bank to, well the situation turns explosive fast. Just another one of the wonderful things we can expect with increasing acceptance of sharia law everywhere. Arbitrary destruction of life and property based on anyones momentary interpretation of what is blasphemy to a lethal degree, and at the moment, I believe Pakistan takes the prize for that.

Islamabad, June 18(ANI): A terrorist outfit targeted a bank in Pakistan on June 13 because its floor tiles and their design were strikingly analogous to the sacred name, Allah.
A bank guard was killed and four others were injured in last Monday’s suicide attack on an Islamabad branch of a bank.
Bank officials confirmed that the administration had received complaints about the design of the floor tiles, and that some individuals had also met the management official in this regard, but neither the area police nor the bank administration took any action on the objections raised by the group.
When contacted, the bank’s president said that the allegation was baseless and concocted.
“It cannot even be imagined to disgrace the holy name of Allah Almighty. We are Muslims and can never think of the disrespect to the name of the Creator,” The News quoted him, as saying.
The officials investigating the case disclosed that in June 2009, an application was lodged with the Industrial Area police by the district president of a youth organisation in Islamabad, saying that he had asked the bank administration to change the sacrilege design of tiles, but they did not bother to listen to him.
He requested the police to register the FIR against the bank administration, but the police also did not take any action on the complaint despite the lapse of two years, according to sources.
Meanwhile, officers probing the bank suicide bombing case said they have got concrete evidence by using communication technology that the banned militant group Tehrik-e-Islami was involved in the suicide attack. (ANI)

Multicultural Toronto Mosque Promotes Xtreme Sharia Compliance: Stoning, Cutting Off Hands, Sedition

The Khalid Bin Al Walid Mosque is located on Bethridge Rd. in Etobicoke, near the neighborhood now known as “Little Somalia” and serves that community. I live in Etobicoke, so does Mayor Ford, in fact I grew up here. I attended high school at what was then known as Keiller MacKay Collegiate. The old neighborhood sure has changed.
So what has unfettered immigration and the lie of multiculturalism brought to our fair city? Read this document entitled “Violations of Islam” published on the Khalid Mosque web site and judge for yourself.
