Egyptian police seized more than three tons of explosives set to be smuggled into the neighboring Palestinian Gaza Strip, a security official said on Wednesday.
Security officers found the TNT on Tuesday concealed in 79 large bags in Sarsuriya district near the Rafah border crossing with Gaza, the official said.
Residents had tipped off police about the 3.5-ton cache, which had been prepared for smuggling through one of the many underground tunnels linking Gaza with Egypt.
Cairo has stepped up its efforts to close the tunnels, which are mainly used to send food and other goods to the impoverished Palestinian enclave, under blockade since the Islamist Hamas movement took it over in 2007.
Egypt is building an underground barrier to cut them off, after repeated efforts to find and demolish them, along with Israeli air strikes, failed to end the thriving smuggling trade.
Smugglers in Sinai say most of the tunnels, which are licensed on the Palestinian end by Hamas, are used to smuggle contraband, but Hamas operates a few used solely for weapons.
BNP changes all-white constitution and ejects Times reporter from meeting

The British National Party voted today to change its constitution to allow black and Asian people to become members.
The decision came at an extraordinary general meeting in Essex that was called after a court ordered the far-right party to comply with race relations laws. A court will decide in March whether the changes bring the BNP within the legislation.
However, the party’s democratic credentials were called into question when a reporter from The Times was bundled out of a press conference shortly before Nick Griffin, the BNP leader, was due to speak. A party official objected to a profile which had appeared in the newspaper at the weekend.
The Times had been invited by Simon Darby, the party’s press officer, with other media, to hear Mr Griffin describe the constitutional changes. Continue Reading →

A professor at the University of Guelph describes 9/11 as a “planned demolition” run by Americans.
Western media have a “spiteful policy” toward Iran of inventing “fraudulent” news to “increase false national expectation” and “encourage disturbance,” according to the cultural attache in the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hamid Mohammadi said media deception has caused hatred and fear of Muslims by presenting the “false belief that religion is incapable of running a country” and that Iran is therefore illegitimate. He said the result has been political “position changing” by Western countries against Muslims.
He quoted an “American thinker,” whose name did not come clearly through his strong accent, to the effect that “future wars are in the hands of the media, and their words are more effective than bullets.”

The new Nazi Bosnian Pride Movement (Bosanski pokret nacionalnog ponosa) believes that Serbs and Croats have no right to the state and that the state belongs exclusively to Bosnian Muslims, aka Bosniaks. The Pride’s insignia is pictured on the left.
The Nazi Bosnian Pride Movement has expanded its enemy list from their WWII predecessors, the Handzar Division and the Young Muslims.
As their enemies, Nazi Bosnian Pride Movement includes the usual ones they were exterminating in WWII – Jews, Gypsies and Serbs – but have expand the list to include Chetniks, Tito, communists, homosexuals, blacks and Croatian separatists.
The group plans to spread nazi leaflets very soon in the cities of Sarajevo, Zenica, Bihac, Tuzla and Mostar, all cities with substantial Muslim and Croat population that will find the message appealing.
The group’s a notoriously slow to load web site, bosnacenter.com, serves up a blank page but with little googling their moderated chat room appears with postings on Zionism, Serb Republic, Truth and 5 questions for perspective members.

France: Quick goes halal
Quick, the fast food chain in France has gone halal. All pork has been removed by the restauranteur at locations in neighbourhoods with high Muslim populations. Non-Muslims who want a classic burger with bacon have to now go to another location elsewhere to buy the classic. One angry regular customer asks, ” I don’t understand, why can’t they sell halal burgers and bacon burgers at the same time?” I understand. Silly question.

Quick, one of France’s most popular fast food chains, has taken pork off the menu at eight of its restaurants, turning them into halal-only outlets.

The chain has replaced bacon with smoked halal turkey in restaurants in three branches in a Paris suburb, two in Marseille, and the remainder in Toulouse, Villeurbanne, near Lyon, and Roubaix, northern France – all of them areas with high Muslim populations.
These restaurants now serve only halal food, seen as permissible according to Islamic law. The company said the move was part of a test, which began in November, and that pork may return to the menu at a later date. Continue Reading →

A Left-wing activist confessed in court yesterday to Holland’s first political assassination in 400 years, claiming that he shot Pim Fortuyn to defend Dutch Muslims from persecution.
Volkert van der Graaf, 33, a vegan animal rights campaigner, said he alone was responsible for killing the maverick protest leader last May, days before a general election in which the Fortuyn List party vaulted into second place and shattered Holland’s consensus.
Facing a raucous court on the first day of his murder trial, he said his goal was to stop Mr Fortuyn exploiting Muslims as “scapegoats” and targeting “the weak parts of society to score points” to try to gain political power.
He said: “I confess to the shooting. He was an ever growing danger who would affect many people in society. I saw it as a danger. I hoped that I could solve it myself.”
Mr Fortuyn’s relatives wore fur coats in the high-security court to show scorn for the animal rights zealot. “I want to cause him maximum pain, I will make sure he notices me,” said Jolanda Fortuyn, a sister-in-law who helped edit many of Mr Fortuyn’s inflammatory books and columns. U.S.: U.K. Flight Denied Entry

British Airways Flight 243 was denied entry into U.S. airspace because of a “data discrepancy” about a 55-year-old American passenger in what may have been the first time a British flight was denied access to American airspace, the Telegraph reported Feb. 15, officials said. The Boeing 747, with 318 passengers and crew, had been flying over the Atlantic for two hours when the discrepancy was spotted. Upon the return to London, the man and his luggage were searched, then he was handed over to immigration officials. Dubai Police Chief Dahi Khalfan Tamim said Feb. 15 that arrest warrants were being issued for 11 Europeans allegedly involved in the killing of senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, Reuters reported. Tamim said police already have arrested two Palestinians suspected of providing logistical support for the killing and that officials are not ruling out the possibility of involvement by Israel.
