I don’t know why anyone gives Chaudery any time at all, he is such a slime ball. However I do think he is unusually honest for a Muslim. Maybe he figures that people will think he is lying so he is more effective at Taqyyia by telling the truth. In any case, Gaffney uses the opportunity to help people’s personal English to Islam lexicon, something we all need. The secret word of the day is, ‘Innocent’.

I am so glad someone made this video. When I was interviewing Sam Solomon when he was in Ottawa June 7th, I was desperately trying to word questions to get this exact set of ideas out of him. What I got was on fact better than I had hoped, however this was what I was after. Mosques are not an analogue for a church or any other religious building. They are, exactly as Sam Solomon said, a place to plan wars, to inflame the troops, a school, a community center and the center of Islamic life. But also, they are a symbol of conquest over the Kuffar.

On Wednesday October 6, 2004, the Center for Security Policy paid tribute to the Defenders of Freedom – the men and women of the U.S. armed services (active duty and reserve), officials of the executive, legislative and judiciary branches, those responsible for the security of our borders and homeland, the first responders, the law enforcement community, intelligence personnel, our allies and industrial base. Accepting the Keeper of the Flame Award on their behalf was the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace USMC.
General Pace’s address to the 350-plus attendees at this elegant black-tie dinner held at the Mayflower Hotel was preceded by a welcome from Harry Stonecipher, President and CEO of the Boeing Company, who served as the Dinner’s Chairman. Gen. Pace was introduced by the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, General James Jones, following a powerful address by the Homeland Security Advisor to the President, Fran Townsend. Ms. Townsend also read a congratulatory message from President George W. Bush that read, in part:
“I commend the Center for Security Policy and those attending this dinner for honoring these dedicated patriots. As we continue to fight terrorism and advance liberty, America stands solidly behind the men and women of our Armed Forces. Their courage, commitment, and sacrifice inspire others and help protect our founding ideals…”
In accepting the award, Gen. Pace movingly praised the courage and commitment of those who serve, and in some cases die for, their country. He described particularly poignantly personal reminiscences of the sacrifices men he led in battle have made – and the inspiration they give to all who defend this country today. Gen. Pace expressed deep gratitude for the support given to uniformed personnel and the other Defenders of Freedom by their loved ones.
Among those in attendance for the fifteenth annual Keeper of the Flame Award were: Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Douglas Feith; Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy Peter Rodman; Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Forces Policy John Rood; and Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Proliferation Strategy, Counterproliferation, and Homeland Defense, NSC Robert Joseph.
Members of Congress in attendance included: Keeper of the Flame Award recipients Senator Jon Kyl (1994) and Congressman Christopher Cox (1997); Senator Ted Stevens, Senator Kit Bond and Congressman Norm Dicks.
Other distinguished guests included: Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors Kenneth Tomlinson; former Chairman of the Defense Policy Board Richard Perle; and former Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Energy and Director of Central Intelligence and 2001 Keeper of the Flame Award recipient Dr. James Schlesinger.
The event concluded with remarks by Center Board of Regent Chairman Terry Elkes. Mr. Elkes joined in thanking Gen. Pace and the men and women he represented on this occasion, and encouraged their continued support through the work of the Center for Security Policy.
STRATFOR on Iran and the nuclear standoff
In the opinion of this blogger, Stratfor, as much as we like admire and respect them, are way off on this issue. Not that long ago, Stratfor was insisting that Iran had no real intention of making a weapon at all, but simply wanted to use their nuclear weapons development program as a way of negotiating better terms for control of Iraq when the US pulls out. Now, Stratfor at least admits there is a real program with real intentions but also admits that Iran has stated a goal to obliterate Israel.
They still believe that Iran is a long way off of having a deliverable weapon. I think Iran has demonstrated both the ability to launch a satellite for several successful orbits, thereby showing the ability to strike any target on earth, assuming their weapon can survive re-entry of course, but more likely, as Frank Gaffney of CFSP or David Harris of INSIGNIS as well as many other intelligence analysts believe, are capable also of launching a missile with a nuclear payload to a decent height over a target and creating an EMP effect which would effectively kill tens of millions of people in the nation below as water, electricity and basially all systems cities use to survive fail. Lastly, even a device as Stratfor calls it, could be detonated aboard a ship or perhaps a 747 next to or above a target and achieve catastrophic results. The straight game-theory ‘rational actor’ idea rooted in geo-political analysis is excellent and has good predictive value over all. Except when you are dealing with super-naturalists who have a profound belief in a destiny that gods have given them, and that they have a role to play above and beyond the logical and even inevitable consequences of their actions in that regard. Iran is such a regime. It is not unprecedented in history, not even in the past 100 years.

CNN on the UN resolution on blasphemy
This is much more important than most people are aware of. The UN General assembly is considering a binding resolution on member nations (nearly all countries in the world) making it a criminal matter to say anything which may cast Islam in a bad light. This can actually include accurately reporting Islamic terrorists when they themselves expose their motives for their attack.

Has CAIR Violated the Iranian Assets Control Regulations?

On November 12 2009, the federal government moved to seize four mosques and a New York City skyscraper owned by the Alavi Foundation, a group allegedly under the direct control of the Iranian government. The following day, the Washington Times exposed the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) for allegedly lobbying on behalf of the Iranian government in violation of the Lobbying Disclosure Act and the Foreign Agents Registration Act. We believe that a third U.S.-based group may be guilty of illegal ties to Iran under the Iranian Assets Control Regulations: the Council On American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
On November 18, 2006 and November 23, 2008, CAIR held their gala annual fundraisers at the Marriott hotel in Arlington, Virginia. We’ve posted previously that the Interests Section of Iran attended both events. Because the U.S. and Iran do not have diplomatic relations, the Interests Section of Iran, sponsored by the Embassy of Pakistan, functions as the defacto embassy representing Iran’s government.
At the 2008 event, we recorded video of Master of Ceremonies and then CAIR-Tampa Executive Director Ahmed Bedier giving personal thanks to “the Interests Section of Iran” for their support:
