Canada to get new conservative news station
By Michael Coren, The Toronto Sun
Oh, what fun to see the oldies run and squeak. The oldies being the traditional, liberal, status quo media types in television, radio and print who have had it easy, soft and lucrative for far too long.
Quebecor announces a new network and the usual hacks drown in cynicism and outrage. You’d think that journalists would welcome another TV station — it will provide jobs and expand the debate. But anybody who has been in Canadian journalism for more than a heartbeat knows that will never be the case.
Media in this country is about shaping — and not reflecting — public opinion. It resents challenge, relishes its complacent sense of superiority and despises anything that even hints of the American model because it terrifies them. Not that the new network looks to be particularly American. The people, so far announced to be involved are all Canadians, all experienced, all highly qualified.
The new network will apparently be called Sun TV News, but has already been labelled as Fox North. “We call it that,” explained one television host, “because the guys behind it have spent time down at Fox.” What an odd thing to do! Why on earth look to the most successful new TV network in the world for some sort of advice and guidance. Far better to do the CBC thing and reformat news and opinion shows by having people stand up rather than sit down. Continue Reading →

At last! East Asians demonstrate against Muslim Violence in Europe
This article doesnt specifically state Muslim violence but its pretty clear from the regions named and the insinuations. French and Vietnamese and I think Chinese people marching together to protest Islamic violence in France. However I am stunned by the fact that especially in England, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and for that matter, Tibetan and so on people do not march in giant numbers to protest the racist BBC for constantly referring to “Asian” crime or “Asian riots” etc. when it is not a matter of race at all, but of culture and religion, specifically, Islam. Some estimates have this demo at 15,000 to 20,000 people. Some wore T shirts saying “Security for all” a reference to Islamic crime against all other communities in France.
Video below the article:
(AFP) – 1 hour ago
PARIS — Paris police tear-gassed demonstrators from the city’s Chinese community Sunday when a march to protest a spate of violent robberies descended into scuffles after a demonstrator’s bag was stolen.
Police said some 8,500 demonstrators turned out onto the streets of city’s eastern Belleville district, where they called for “coordinated and concerted” action by the authorities against the growing number of attacks.
Trouble broke out as the demonstration was breaking up with scuffles erupting between a group of around a dozen youths and 50 young demonstrators, police sources told AFP.
According to multiple witnesses, the trouble started when a bag belonging to one of the demonstrators was stolen. Police were forced to intervene and three people were arrested, said the police source.
Police tear-gassed the crowd after objects were thrown at them, prompting demonstrators to overturn cars and block traffic in the area for several hours.
Belleville is an ethnically diverse district of the French capital that has seen an influx of Asian immigrants in the last 10 years.
According to organisers from French-Chinese organisations, who distributed 5,000 T-shirts and stickers saying “Security For All”, it was the largest demonstration by the Chinese community on record in France.
“French-Asian associations are marching for the first time against the lack of security,” said the president of the organisers, Chan Sing Mo. “If the problem continues, we’ll come out again in larger numbers.”
In the last few months, Chinese in the French capital have been subjected to attacks and violent robberies by youths in Belleville and other parts of eastern Paris, and many feel at a disadvantage as immigrants.
“Those who can’t speak French or don’t have proper papers are not able to complain,” a florist in Belleville told AFP.
An article here on Blogger News Network has much more info:
Here is a video of the East Asians being attacked on the way home from the demo by what the article refers to as Black and S Asian (Muslims) who target the East Asian community for crime frequently.
Cultural enrichment in England.
H, being the 8th letter in the English alphabet, has created a new fashion trend in the UK. Check out the T shirts in the second video where the UAF staged a counter demonstration once they knew that the EDL wasn’t actually going to show up. A clear HH on them standing of course for Islam’s religion of peace role model, Hitler. Heil Hitler being the purpose of the HH or 88. In the video immediately below. you can see the wonderful benefits that a diverse rich injection of culture has brought to the UK.
Look for the guys with the HH around 40 seconds

US AND ISRAELI WARSHIPS SAIL THROUGH THE SUEZ TO CONFRONT IRANIAN FLOTILLA OF THE HUNS

US, Israel Warships in Suez May Be Prelude to Faceoff with Iran
Egypt allowed at least one Israeli and 11 American warships to pass through the Suez Canal as an Iranian flotilla approaches Gaza. Egypt closed the canal to protect the ships with thousands of soldiers, according to the British-based Arabic language newspaper Al Quds al-Arabi.
One day prior to the report on Saturday, Voice of Israel government radio reported that the Egyptian government denied an Israeli request not to allow the Iranian flotilla to use the Suez Canal to reach Gaza, in violation of the Israeli sea embargo on the Hamas-controlled area.

25 Saudi Guantanamo prisoners return to militancy
EDTRIYADH (Reuters) – Around 25 former detainees from Guantanamo Bay camp returned to militancy after going through a rehabilitation program for al Qaeda members in Saudi Arabia, a Saudi security official said on Saturday.
The United States have sent back around 120 Saudis from the detention camp at the U.S. naval base in Cuba, set up after the U.S. launched a “war on terror” following the September 11 attacks by mostly Saudi suicide hijackers sent by al Qaeda.
Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, has put the returned prisoners along with other al Qaeda suspects through a rehabilitation program which includes religious re-education by clerics and financial help to start a new life.
The scheme, which some 300 extremists have attended, is part of anti-terrorism efforts after al Qaeda staged attacks inside the kingdom from 2003-06. These were halted after scores of suspects were arrested with the help of foreign experts.
Around 11 Saudis from Guantanamo have gone to Yemen, an operating base for al Qaeda, while others have been jailed again or killed after attending the program, said Abdulrahman al-Hadlaq, Director General of the General Administration for Intellectual Security overseeing the rehabilitation.

Schools of thought: 26 Darul Ulooms in Britain prepping boys to lead the world to Islam

Inside the Muslim Eton: 20 hour days starting at 3.45am with the aim of producing Muslim elite of leaders
By Edna Fernandes
Last updated at 10:53 AM on 20th June 2010
The clock strikes 11am and boys spill out of classrooms into the corridor to move on to their next lesson.
There is no noise and no jostling. Instead they walk in an orderly manner, heads bowed respectfully and eyes downcast to avoid my gaze. The boys, all aged between 13 and 19, are dressed in ankle-length white salwar kameez and white skullcaps.
Their feet are bare. For this is no ordinary school. This is Darul Uloom, a Muslim madrassa or religious school, set in the pretty Kent village of Chislehurst. It is one of 166 Muslim schools in Britain today.
School of thought: Writer Edna Fernandes outside madrassa
Of those, 26 are Darul Ulooms, religious seminaries rooted in the Islamic orthodoxy of sharia. According to an ICM poll, almost half of British Muslims wish to send their children to Muslim-only schools.
‘Our parents represent the cross-section of British Muslim society,’ the mufti – an Islamic scholar – of one leading school in northern England told me. These parents include teachers, doctors and shopkeepers.
Secretive and protective, Darul Uloom schools have been operating in Britain for 25 years. But since 9/11 they have faced closer scrutiny by police who fear they may be academies of radicalism – something the headmasters deny.
Now, for the first time, a Darul Uloom has opened its doors to a British newspaper and allowed The Mail on Sunday exclusive access. Most Britons may have never heard of such schools. But their significance in the Islamic world is paramount and it is shaping young Muslims in Britain today.
Islamic experts regard Darul Uloom as the second most important Islamic academic institution in the world after Cairo’s Al Azhar university. The schools aim to create new leaders of the Islamic world.
In terms of its significance, Darul Uloom is no less than the Eton of Islam. The first Darul Uloom or ‘House of Knowledge’ was set up in Deoband, northern India, in 1866.
Nine years after the Indian Mutiny, when Muslims and Hindus lost their first battle for independence against British rulers, a group of Islamic leaders retreated to the Indian village to build a school that would eventually become a global movement in the Muslim world.
A haven of Islamic purity where they could live unpolluted by other faiths. Today Darul Uloom is more than just a school. It is a global school of thought based on Deobandi Sunni Islam.
Its purpose is to see a return to the ways of the Prophet Mohammed, to when Islam was born in the 7th Century AD. Continue Reading →
Man who didn’t like ruling attacks judge with meat cleaver

Man ‘lunged at judge’s head with meat cleaver’
By Mail On Sunday Reporter
Last updated at 12:32 PM on 20th June 2010
A man armed with a meat cleaver allegedly threatened an employment tribunal chairman after losing a case.
Eyewitnesses claimed Mohammed Choudhury lunged at 66-year-old Russell Hardwick with the blade, forcing him to protect himself with his arms at the Reading Employment Tribunal Centre on Friday.
Barrister Andrew Burns said: ‘He just walked up to the judge and said something like, “You threw out my case.” Then he raised this meat cleaver before the judge’s head.
‘Unreal’: Judge Russell Hardwick had to run from Mohammed Choudhury who raised the cleaver aloft over his head
‘The judge cried out and tried to protect himself with his arms. I quickly went up to the man and asked him to hand it over. Amazingly, he complied.’
Mr Burns added: ‘It all happened in a matter of seconds. I then kept him talking for about ten minutes until the police arrived.
‘It was unreal at the time but afterwards we were all as white as sheets and it could so easily have turned out very differently.’
Trainee barrister Kate Balmer, 25, said that Mr Burns ‘probably saved the judge’s life’.
She said: ‘Andrew Burns shouted at him, “What on Earth do you think you are doing?” The man looked at him and the judge managed to run out into his room and shut the door.’
Mr Choudhury, 42, a former library worker, of Wellesley Road, Slough, was charged with an offence under the Public Order Act.
Visitors to the tribunal centre are not required to undergo searches or bag checks and Mr Burns said there had been calls for more security measures to be introduced.
Mr Hardwick, a former solicitor, has been an employment tribunal chairman since 1990. He announced his retirement last May when he reached 65 but has still been hearing cases at Reading.

Iran: Judiciary Gives its Blessing to Crackdown on “Bad Hijabs”
From Street Journalist
RAHANA – When asked about fines issued by some prosecutors for women with “bad hijab, Raisee said, “Hijab and chastity are the letter of the law and must be enforced without exception.”
Raise went on to advise all Iranian women to be faithful to Islam adding that non Muslim women must also obey the law of the land. All the cultural resources of the country must be used to institutionalize the Islamic hijab, Raisee said.
“The fact the certain prosecutors have issued monetary fines for women with “bad hijab” remain within their discretionary powers and such ruling are binding” said Raisee. He also advised the security forces to use all their power to deal with “bad hijabs”
In recent days, reports have emerged that women with bad hijab will be fined. The amount of the fine varies based on the color of their nail polish or other makeup items, whether they were wearing their sunglasses on their heads at the time of their arrest, as well the color of their hair or highlights.
Iran opposition leader vows to keep up vote protest
From Street Journalist
Opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi on Sunday vowed to continue fighting the presidential “vote scandal” which rocked Iran, a year to the day after the death of a young woman at a Tehran protest rally.
Karroubi’s latest salvo comes 12 months after a deadly demonstration in the capital against the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad led to the killing of 10 people, including Neda Agha-Soltan.
A mobile phone video posted on the Internet showing the young woman bleeding to death in the street during the June 20, 2009 rally became the symbol of the uprising against Ahmadinejad’s re-election.
In an open letter to Iranians posted on his Sahamnews.org website, Karroubi criticised supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and attacked the authorities for jailing protesters and “filling cemeteries” with those killed in the unrest.
“Your stolen votes and the right which was unjustly taken away is a scandal which will not be wiped out at all,” said the cleric who has refused to accept Ahmadinejad’s re-election.
“I once again declare in all honesty that I will be committed to my pact with you until the end.” Continue Reading →
British home secretary bans Dr.Naik from entering U.K., has Muslims in an uproar
Dr Zakir Naik banned from UK ahead of Wembley Arena peace conference
12:42pm Friday 18th June 2010
THE keynote speaker at a Muslim conference set to be the focus of protests in Wembley has been banned from the UK.
Dr Zakir Naik, an Indian preacher who was once quoted saying “every Muslim should be a terrorist”, has been denied entry to the country by Home Secretary Theresa May.
Dr Naik was due to speak to the Al-Khair Peace Conference at Wembley Arena on Saturday, June 26, an appearance which has sparked a protest from the English Defence League (EDL).
Mrs May said in a statement today: “I have today excluded Dr Naik from the UK. Numerous comments made by Dr Naik are evidence to me of his unacceptable behaviour.
“Coming to the UK is a privilege not a right and I am not willing to allow those who might not be conducive to the public good to enter the UK.
“Exclusion powers are very serious and no decision is taken lightly or as a method of stopping open debate on issues.”
The EDL told the Harrow Times today that the organisation, which has labeled the conference as a vehicle for “preachers of hate”, will proceed with its demonstration despite the news.
A spokesman, who would not give him name, said: “People going to this conference support his ideology, there are other speakers still going, and these people obviously condone his behaviour.
“The fact they are saying it is a peace conference and that they are a charity is rubbish. The fact that the Home Secretary has banned him speaks for itself.”
The spokesman also took a swipe at Unite Against Fascism (UAF) who have vowed to hold a counter-protest in Wembley on the same day.
He said UAF have a track record of violence and being arrested at protest, and insisted the EDL is a peaceful protest group trying to exercise its right to demonstrate.
End.
——–
How does Dr. Naik feel about his obvious exclusion from the country? ‘Disappointed’ of course. In fact, he’s so disappointed he’s seeking to see if he can have the home secretary’s decision legally overturned. And his buddies at the Muslim Council of Britain? They’re upset too:
“The Home Secretary’s action serves to demonise the very voices within the world ready for debate and discussion. “The tour would have been a golden opportunity for young Muslims who are eager to hear the true messages of Islam which promote understanding between communities.”

Disruptions at Israeli ambassador’s talk prompt suspension ruling for UC Irvine Muslim group
Published June 14, 2010, Associated Press
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A University of California, Irvine, disciplinary committee ruled that a Muslim student group should be suspended for at least a year because of a protest that disrupted a talk by Israel’s ambassador and led to the arrest of 11 students, according to documents released Monday.
The letter from a student affairs disciplinary committee to Muslim Student Union leaders said the group was guilty of disorderly conduct, obstructing university activities, furnishing false information and other violations of campus policy.
University spokeswoman Cathy Lawhon said the committee’s decision will be a binding recommendation to the campus’ office of student affairs if a planned appeal by the group does not succeed.
MSU attorney Reem Salahi said the committee relied on evidence relied that was “inadequate and problematic” but declined to outline the group’s challenge in detail. She said the decision, if sustained, would leave Muslim students without an organization representing their interests.
“It really does have very lasting constitutional implications,” she said. “It’s a chilling effect for Muslims on campus and their right to associate.”
Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren was repeatedly interrupted and called “murderer” and “war criminal” by pro-Palestinian students as he was giving a talk on the Middle East peace process in February.
Eleven students were cited on charges of disrupting a public event after they were requested to refrain from heckling but did not.
Orange County district attorney spokeswoman Susan Schroeder said criminal charges have yet to be filed and it was unknown if or when they would be.
The MSU condemned the ambassador’s appearance but insisted it did not organize the protests.
The disciplinary committee, however, said a review of online message group conversations and minutes from an MSU meeting revealed that the group did engineer the protests and instructed participants to lie about its involvement.
The group’s preparations allegedly included scripting statements for protesters to make during the event and instructing participants to cheer at disruptions.
“Be VERY LOUD, firm and strong … but remain composed and under control. Do not let your emotions get the best of you. Remember that this is a planned/calculated response and not a venting session,” the committee quoted organizers as telling participants in meeting minutes.
The committee also ruled that the group should be put on disciplinary probation for a year following its suspension, which ends in August 2011, and that members collectively complete 50 hours of community service.
The letter, dated May 27, was released following a Freedom of Information Act request by the Jewish Federation Orange County.
