Because of stories like this, I linked Terry Glavin’s work in Afghanistan, his human interest piece for orphans, to this very Islamic system of Kafala in this write up here:
This is not a new story, but it has been largely ignored by the masses who still believe that Islam is a religion of Peace. C’mon. Fining the company $2000 dollars for the conditions these workers live in. What a joke.
Kafala still exists in the most liberal and vibrant jewel the Arab Islamic propaganda machine has to offer, and still the Western media do not know what to call it, or even acknowledge that such slavery still exists; lest they offend the sensibilities of the rich and powerful Liberal elitists who still fool themselves into thinking Islam is just like any other religion.
