Saudis Report Plot To Assassinate Obama

The Saudi Arabian newspaper al-Watan reported today that Turkish security services have arrested a man of Syrian origins Friday in connection with a plot to assassinate President Barack Obama during his current visit to Turkey.

The man, who was carrying an Al-Jazeera TV ID card in the name of M.G., confessed after his arrest that he was planning on stabbing the U.S. president with a knife during the Alliance of Civilizations summit held in Istanbul, adding that he had three other accomplices to help him execute his plan.

According to the paper, Turkish investigators were trying to verify whether the Qatari-based Arab TV channel has truly issued the ID card produced by the man, or if it’s a forged copy.

The suspect, a permanent resident of Istanbul, has been regularly attending all conferences and events relating to the Middle East held in the city.

Al-Watan contacted Al-Jazeera’s bureau chief in Ankara, Yucef al-Sharif, who said that news of the suspect came as a complete surprise to Al-Jazeera staff in Turkey, who all claimed that they knew nothing about the man.

“We learned that he (the suspect) claimed to be working for our bureau … if that has been the case then he most certainly forged our ID card,” al-Sharif told al-Watan in a phone call from Ankara.

Al-Sharif said that Turkish security services know everyone who worked in Al-Jazeera’s offices in Ankara.

Pakistan outcry over flogging of girl by Taliban

[kaltura-widget wid=”npug3s3vp4″ width=”410″ height=”364″ addpermission=”0″ editpermission=”3″ /]In the hopes that people will get to witness Sharia law with their own eyes I have uploaded this video on my you tube account. Eight hours after posting I recieved an email from you tube informing me the video was pulled and the account ‘taffyincanada’ has been suspended. The mass flagging campaign by ‘Muslims against the facts’ is very active on youtube.

From the Telegraph.co.uk

Diplomats and human rights campaigners have condemned a peace deal between the Pakistan government and Taliban militants after harrowing video footage revealed a teenage woman begging for mercy during a public flogging.

The footage appears to show a 17-year-old girl being flogged by Islamic militants in Pakistan’s northwestern region of Swat.

The whipping took place after the peace deal was struck with militants in February following a protracted and unsuccessful military operation.

But a Taliban spokesman said that the punishment beating took place before the peace deal was signed when militants carried out executions and public beatings.

A local Taliban commander in the militant stronghold of Matta, outside of the regional capital, Mingora, ordered a girl called Chand to be flogged after she was accused of adultery.

“Please! Enough! Enough!” the girl is heard crying in Pashto, the language of the tribes who dominate northwestern Pakistan.

The two-minute video, shot using a mobile phone, shows a burka-clad woman face down on the ground. Two men, one of whom is her brother, hold her arms and feet while a third whips her 34 times.

“Please stop it,” she implores. “Either kill me or stop it now.” Continue Reading →

Law for Afghan Shi’ites cheap politics, say critics

From CTV.ca

crying_girlA new law passed by the Afghan parliament that reportedly legalizes marital rape, among other measures, is just an attempt by President Hamid Karzai to win the favour of extremists, say critics.

Journalist and women’s-rights activist Sally Armstrong, who has reported extensively on the state of women in Afghanistan, says the law is simply an attempt by Karzai to win the critical swing votes of conservative Shia men ahead of presidential elections.

“It’s a cheap piece of electioneering on the backs of the women and girls of the country, just so he can hang on to power,” Armstrong told Canada AM. “This is a man who has spoken about the rights of women… but he sold them out to get the extremist men vote.”

Armstrong points out that even though only a small percentage of Shia men would welcome the law, all women would be affected.

“They’re selling this as just for Shia women, but that’s nonsense. The content of Shia law is, it will affect every woman in the country,” she said. Continue Reading →

Obama’s Muslim Outreach

obama-muslimbyTed Belmanof the Canada Free Press

One year ago I wrote about Obama’s Muslim connection. No matter how strong this connection was, the main stream media and ultimately Jewish Americans ignored it.

“The person who made me proudest of all,” Obama wrote, “was Roy. Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage. He converted to Islam, and has sworn off pork and tobacco and alcohol.”

On February 27th, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”

Although Obama played the Christian card while campaigning, he is playing the Muslim card now in such a blatant fashion that even I am astounded.

Here is his record to date after inauguration,

  • Obama’s first call was to Mahmoud Abbas who is not even a head of state. Obama was delivering a message to Israel and the world.
  • Obama’s first interview, within days of inauguration, was with the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya Networks In it her stressed his own Muslim ties and his hopes for a Palestinian state. His message was “U.S. not your enemy”

“And as I said during my inauguration speech, if countries like Iran are willing to unclench their fist, they will find an extended hand from us,” Continue Reading →

Islamic Law’s Influence in America a Growing Concern

FoxNews David Lewcowict

As America’s Muslim population grows, so too does the influence of Islamic law, or Shariah, in daily life in the U.S.

“Shariah Law is the totality of the Muslim’s obligation,” said Abdullahi An-Na’im, a professor of law at Emory University in Atlanta. According to An-Na’im, Shariah is similar to Jewish Talmudic Law or Catholic Canon Law in that it guides an adherent’s moral conduct.

“As a citizen, I am a subject of the United States,” An-Na’im said. “I owe allegiance to the United States, to the Constitution of the United States. That is not inconsistent with observing a religious code in terms of my own personal behavior.”

While many view this as a testament to the “great American melting pot,” others see Islamic law’s growing influence as a threat. Shariah’s critics point to cases such as the airport in Minneapolis, where some Shariah-adherent taxi drivers made headlines in 2006 for refusing to pick up passengers they suspected of carrying liquor. The drivers’ aversion to alcohol stemmed from a verse in the Qur’an that describes “intoxicants and gambling” as “an abomination of Satan’s handiwork.” Continue Reading →

Hardline Prince moves closer to Saudi Arabia’s throne

abdul-aziz-hardline-saudi-princeOne of Saudi Arabia’s most conservative Princes has moved closer towards the throne, casting a shadow over the Kingdom’s tentative reforms.

Telegraph By Richard Spencer in Dubai

Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz, the interior minister and a half-brother of King Abdullah, has assumed second place in the line of succession. His appointment as second deputy prime minister places him next in line after Crown Prince Sultan.

Because King Abdullah is about 84 and the Crown Prince is of the same vintage and in poor health, this makes Prince Nayef highly likely to succeed to the throne. He will take temporary charge of Saudi Arabia while the King attends the G20 summit in London and Crown Prince Sultan recovers from surgery in New York.

Prince Nayef, who at 75 is a relatively youthful member of the royal family’s senior circle, is a deeply controversial figure. Shortly after the terrorist attacks on September 11, he was sceptical about the involvement of any Saudis and publicly suggested that “Zionists” were responsible. But he adopted a tough line against al-Qaeda after the kingdom was rocked by a series of attacks in 2003 and 2004. Continue Reading →

48 murdered by mad Muslim

Appeasing the Taliban by handing over the Swat valley has not stopped the violence against government forces and average citizens of Pakistan. I can only imagine the speech Taliban leaders gave their minions as they explained to them the peace deal they had agreed to with Pakistan. I suspect it was something like, ” We have told the Pakistan government [spit] we will stop jihad on them. So when you are killing them don’t say you are Taliban.” Followed by rubbing of palms and evil laughter.

At least 48 dead in Pakistan mosque bombing

Reuters Fri Mar 27, 2009

LANDI KOTAL, Pakistan (Reuters) – A suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded Pakistani mosque during prayers on Friday, killing at least 48 people, a government official said.

“So far we have counted 48 bodies,” Tariq Hayat Khan, the top administrator in the Khyber region in the northwest of the country, told reporters. The death toll could rise, perhaps to 70, he said. About 70 wounded had been taken to hospitals, he said.”It was a suicide attack. The bomber was standing in the mosque. It’s a two-storey building and it has collapsed,” he said.

Police initially said a bomb blew up at a police post next to the mosque near Jamrud town.

There was no claim of responsibility but Islamist militants opposed to the government’s support for the United States have mounted a violent campaign against the security forces and others.

Militants had earlier threatened to blow up the police post next to the mosque, residents of the area said.

taliban-keeping-the-world-safe-from-peacekeepers“It’s surprising, those who claim that they are doing jihad and then carry out suicide attacks inside mosques during Friday prayers,” Khan told Geo TV.

Somali Islamic judge declares one ‘dead infidel = 100 female camels’

pushkarcamelsSomali Islamic court sets 100 female camels as price of aid worker’s murder

The Daily StarBy Agence France Presse (AFP)

MOGADISHU: An Islamic court in southern Somalia on Tuesday sentenced a man found guilty of murdering a UN aid worker to paying the victim’s family 100 female camels in compensation. The defendant, a member of an armed organization, pleaded guilty to the murder of senior World Food Program official Ibrahim Hussein Duale. “After a five-day trial, the court finally announced its verdict today … He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to pay 100 female camels,” a relative of the victim, told AFP. The trial took place in the town of Bardhubo, in the Gedo region, which is under the control of the hardline Islamist group Al-Shabaab and its allies.
The Islamist administration in the area has opened courts applying a version of Sharia, or Islamic law, over the past year. In the UN aid worker’s murder case, the judges deliberated and gave the victim’s family the option to choose the death penalty for the accused or receive compensation. Abdullahi Hussein, a local elder who was part of a committee involved in the case and suggesting an adequate sentence, said the 100 female camels were worth around $45,000. “Each she-camel is worth 10 million Somalia shillings, so 100 of them works out at around $45,000,” he said. – AFP

‘Iran-Sudan-Hamas chain exposed’

The Jerusalem Post-March 26-2009

Hello Iran..I would like to place an orderThe latest reports  of an alleged IAF strike on a Hamas arms convoy in Sudan draw attention to an arms network running from Iran, via the Persian Gulf and Yemen to Sudan, Egypt, and Hamas-ruled Gaza. The existence of this network has been noted by analysts in the past. It forms part of a larger, overt, close relationship maintained by both Iran and Hamas with the regime of Omar al-Bashir in Khartoum.

Reva Bhalla, an analyst at the US-based private intelligence company Stratfor, was the first to publicly note the transfer of arms from Iran to Hamas via Sudan. Speaking to reporters in early January, Bhalla suggested the involvement of Hizbullah agents in an Iranian created network bringing arms from Sudan to the Gaza Strip. Bhalla depicted the network in the following terms:

“You’ll have a bunch of Hizbullah agents who will procure arms through Sudan. They’ll enter Egypt under forged documents, pay off disgruntled Bedouins in the Sinai with things like light arms, cash, Lebanese hashish – which they can sell in the black market – and pay off Egyptian security guards as well so that they can travel covertly into Gaza to pass off the weapons shipments through Hamas’ pretty extensive underground tunnel network.”

It is impossible to verify the precise accuracy of these details. However, the involvement of Sudan in the Iranian-Hamas war effort would fit with the larger pattern of Sudan’s regional alliances and activity. The close connections between Teheran, Khartoum and Hamas are a matter of public record. Continue Reading →

U.S Strikes in Pakistan “justify jihad”: cleric

pakistan-school-of-terrorism2 Rueters-Kamran Haider

QUETTA, Pakistan (Reuters) – An expansion of America’s secret war in Pakistan to Baluchistan province would justify jihad and see many more young men rally to fight foreign forces in Afghanistan, a radical cleric said.

The New York Times reported last week that the United States is considering expanding its covert war to Baluchistan, a sprawling province of deserts and jagged mountains on the border of violence-plagued southern Afghanistan.

So far, missile strikes by pilotless Central Intelligence Agency-operated drones, which Pakistan objects to, have been limited to ethnic Pashtun tribal areas to the north of Baluchistan, mostly in the North and South Waziristan regions.

“America is trying to scare us but it won’t work. Rather it will be a justification,” Noor Muhammad, a well-known radical cleric who runs a madrasa, or religious school, in Quetta, capital of Baluchistan province, said of possible U.S. strikes.

“America is foolish because it will only force more people here to stand up against it,” he said.

Sitting in a room his madrasa complex, the 60-year-old grey-bearded Muhammad denied any policy of sending young men from his school to fight Western forces in Afghanistan.

But he said it was the duty of every Muslim to do that.

“If infidels occupy a Muslim land then it’s obligatory for all Muslims to do jihad … Preaching jihad is my duty,” he said.

President Barack Obama has said the United States is not winning in Afghanistan, more than seven years after U.S.-led forces toppled the Taliban, and he is due to announce the result of a review of policy in Afghanistan and Pakistan in coming days.

U.S. officials say success in Afghanistan is impossible without tackling the problem of militant safe havens in Pakistan.

In the Pashtunabad area on the outskirts of Quetta, support for militancy appears strong. Walls on a street leading to Muhammad’s madrasa are daubed with slogans such as “Long Live Mullah Omar.”

Afghan and foreign officials in Kabul have long said they believe Taliban leaders, including supreme leader Mullah Omar, are hiding in Baluchistan. Pakistan denies that. Continue Reading →

Islamic Militants claim Kashmiri attack

    lashkar-e-taiba1BBC News March 25-2009

The Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba says it was involved in a five-day gun battle with troops in Indian-administered Kashmir.

At least 25 people died in fighting at Kupwara, including eight soldiers.

Lashkar-e-Taiba is the group which India holds responsible for the armed attacks in Mumbai last November in which more than 170 people died.

The army says the militants were well trained and equipped and had the backing of agencies in Pakistan.

“Militarily prepared”

“The maps and communication equipment [recovered from dead gunmen] indicates that [Pakistani] state and security forces’ assistance was there as such material is not available in the civil domain,” Brig Gurmeet Singh told a press conference in Srinagar on Wednesday.

“The majority of the militants have been killed and those left, if any, will also be eliminated.” Continue Reading →

Bangladesh orphanage run by British charity raided by anti-terror forces

Security forces claim orphanage run by Stockport charity was being used as training camp for Islamist militants

An orphanage run by a British charity in Bangladesh has been raided by local security forces who claim it was being used as a training camp and arms factory for Islamist militants.

The anti-terrorism Rapid Action Battalion said today that it had arrested four people, including a teacher and three caretakers, and was searching for the head of the charity, a British citizen known as Faisal.

The arrests came after a raid yesterday on the Green Crescent madrasa and orphanage on the remote southern island of Bhola, Lieutenant Colonel Munir Haque, an officer involved in the operation, said. The charity’s headquarters is thousands of miles away in the town of Stockport, south of Manchester.

“We found small arms ? about nine or 10 in total ? plus equipment to make small arms, about 3,000 rounds of ammunition, two walkie-talkies, two remote control devices and four sets of army uniforms,” Haque said.

“We also found enough explosives and other equipment to make several hundred grenades. We found some ordinary Islamic books, but others that are in line with extremists like Bin Laden.” Continue Reading →

The Truth Exposed: Islamic Terrorist Training & Fundraising in America

lego-terrorist

It’s not a game. These are not people just talking tough around the kitchen table. These are groups of people that are organised and backed up with both skill and finance. When will the Americas wake up to the fact that this danger can no longer be ignored? As the man ringing the alarm bell goes deaf, Canada and the U.S. continue to sleep.

By Doug Hagmann The Canada Free Press March 24-09

Since 2004, investigators of the Northeast Intelligence Network have been performing an extensive investigation and surveillance operation of the activities of Jamaat ul Fuqra, an Islamic terrorist group that is currently active and operational across the US and Canada. The findings of our investigation and surveillance operations are as extensive as they are disturbing.

This organization of Muslim terrorists are actively training for urban warfare, infiltrating our government institutions, securing positions of public trust, and raising substantial sums of money through a wide range of white collar criminal activity and Islamic charities which is being funneled to terrorist kingpin Sheikh Mubarek Ali Gilani in Pakistan. The money is used for terrorist operations and organizational advancement. From their US headquarters in rural Delaware county, New York at the base of the Catskills where recruitment is brisk, especially from within our prison system, they have also reinforced their operations into Mexico, Latin America, the Virgin Islands, and elsewhere. Their primary focus, however, remains the US and Canada, and their targets are both religious and secular in nature, with emphasis on the former. Such targets include Jews and Christians, churches and synagogues, and perhaps most insidiously, our schools and school children. The latter will be for psychological effect.

Members associated with this terrorist organization have killed and will kill and attack again, although their future attacks will be much more horrific. Mark my words. Continue Reading →

Saudi Arabia: Doctor halts wedding of 5-year-old girl

Saudi Arabia: Doctor halts wedding of 5-year-old girl

http://www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/024138.php

Sharia Alert: “We cannot technically impede a marriage with a girl of this age. However, we can delay the process (by refusing to carry out the [state-mandated pre-marital] tests).”

“Saudi Arabia: Doctor stops wedding with five year-old,” from Adnkronos International, December 30:

Riyadh, 30 Dec. (AKI) – A doctor in Saudi Arabia was able to stop the wedding of a five and 11 year-old whose family wanted to marry them to protect financial assets. “Thanks to the law that compels spouses to carry out blood analyses before marriage, we were able to stop a wedding with underage girls, among them a five year-old,” said Hani Harsani, the doctor in charge of laboratory analysis in an interview with Saudi daily al-Watan.

“Two sisters came to us accompanied by their parents to undergo pre-marital blood analyses. The first one was five, and the other 11 years-old. When we asked the mother why they wanted to do the tests, she told us that she wanted to marry the girls to cousins to preserve the family’s property rights.”

During the interview, Harsani remembers an episode when a 10-year-old orphan was brought to do pre-marital blood tests by her brother, who wanted to marry the sister to a 40-year-old friend who already had two other wives.

“We cannot technically impede a marriage with a girl of this age. However, we can delay the process (by refusing to carry out the tests),” said Harsani.

“I hope a law can be passed sooner rather than later to establish a minimum age for marriage.”

That would be nice. But opposition will be fierce, and the defenders of child marriage will invoke Muhammad’s own example in marrying Aisha at the age of 6, and consummating the marriage when she was 9. They may also invoke Qur’an 65:4, which takes child marriage for granted in allowing for the divorce of pre-pubescent girls.

Pre-marital blood tests are compulsory in Saudi Arabia to ensure the spouses are in good health, but also to prevent the spread of hereditary diseases to the children.

Sharia comes to the UK

Sharia comes to the UK

/From DhimmiWatch/

Britain will come to regret this, but whether or not it will before it’s too late is an open question. More on this story. “Revealed: UK’s first official sharia courts,” by Abul Taher in The Sunday Times, September 14 (thanks to all who sent this in):

ISLAMIC law has been officially adopted in Britain, with sharia courts given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases. The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence.

Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court.

Previously, the rulings of sharia courts in Britain could not be enforced, and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims.

Who will be responsible for enforcement now?

It has now emerged that sharia courts with these powers have been set up in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester with the network’s headquarters in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Two more courts are being planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh.Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi, whose Muslim Arbitration Tribunal runs the courts, said he had taken advantage of a clause in the Arbitration Act 1996.

Under the act, the sharia courts are classified as arbitration tribunals. The rulings of arbitration tribunals are binding in law, provided that both parties in the dispute agree to give it the power to rule on their case.

Siddiqi said: “We realised that under the Arbitration Act we can make rulings which can be enforced by county and high courts. The act allows disputes to be resolved using alternatives like tribunals. This method is called alternative dispute resolution, which for Muslims is what the sharia courts are.” […]

In fact, Muslim tribunal courts started passing sharia judgments in August 2007. They have dealt with more than 100 cases that range from Muslim divorce and inheritance to nuisance neighbours.

It has also emerged that tribunal courts have settled six cases of domestic violence between married couples, working in tandem with the police investigations.

Did they wink at domestic violence because of Qur’an 4:34? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

Siddiqi said he expected the courts to handle a greater number of “smaller” criminal cases in coming years as more Muslim clients approach them. “All we are doing is regulating community affairs in these cases,” said Siddiqi, chairman of the governing council of the tribunal.Jewish Beth Din courts operate under the same provision in the Arbitration Act and resolve civil cases, ranging from divorce to business disputes. They have existed in Britain for more than 100 years, and previously operated under a precursor to the act.

Politicians and church leaders expressed concerns that this could mark the beginnings of a “parallel legal system” based on sharia for some British Muslims.

Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary, said: “If it is true that these tribunals are passing binding decisions in the areas of family and criminal law, I would like to know which courts are enforcing them because I would consider such action unlawful. British law is absolute and must remain so.”

Douglas Murray, the director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said: “I think it’s appalling. I don’t think arbitration that is done by sharia should ever be endorsed or enforced by the British state.”

There are concerns that women who agree to go to tribunal courts are getting worse deals because Islamic law favours men.

Siddiqi said that in a recent inheritance dispute handled by the court in Nuneaton, the estate of a Midlands man was divided between three daughters and two sons.

The judges on the panel gave the sons twice as much as the daughters, in accordance with sharia. Had the family gone to a normal British court, the daughters would have got equal amounts.

In the six cases of domestic violence, Siddiqi said the judges ordered the husbands to take anger management classes and mentoring from community elders. There was no further punishment.

In each case, the women subsequently withdrew the complaints they had lodged with the police and the police stopped their investigations.

Siddiqi said that in the domestic violence cases, the advantage was that marriages were saved and couples given a second chance.

Inayat Bunglawala, assistant secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: “The MCB supports these tribunals. If the Jewish courts are allowed to flourish, so must the sharia ones.”

Except Jewish courts do not rule on the basis of a law that Jews are laboring to impose upon the whole of British society. Sharia courts are. Will Bunglawala address this distinction? Of course not.
