Austria To Ban Headscarves At Kindergartens And Schools

An original translation from Die Welt:

Austria:
Sebastian Kurz announces headscarf ban for kindergartens and schools
April 04., 2018

„Veiling little children is something that should definitely have no place in our country“, said Austria’s chancellor Sebastian Kurz. With this, he wanted to prevent discrimination at a young age.

In the will of the Austria government, in the future, girls won’t be allowed to wear a headscarf in kindergarten and elementary school any longer. „Veiling little children is something that should definitely have no place in our country“, said chancellor Sebastian Kurz on Wednesday in Vienna.

It was about granting the same opportunities to all children. „And this also means that there isn’t any discrimination at a young age“, said Kurz. The new law will be titled „Child Protection Law“. „All children should have equal opportunities, girls and boys“, said Kurz.

The respective motion is to be formulated no later than the beginning of summer. To elevate the law into constitutional status, the government, conservative ÖVP and right-wing FPÖ, will have to convince one oppositional party of their plan. FPÖ-chief Heinz-Christian Strache wanted to combat „undesirable developments regarding political Islam“ with his headscarf ban for girls.

50 people charged for veiling their faces
It is unclear how many children are affected. There are no figures. „It is certainly a symbolic gesture“, said education minister Heinz Faßmann (ÖVP).

In Austria, a general ban on veiling the face came into effect half a year ago. The anti-face-curtaining-law means that in public spaces and in public buildings, clothes or other items shall not disguise or veil „the facial features in such way that they aren’t recognizable anymore“. Dressing up in the context of halloween is not affected by this law, the decree specifies.

Since then, approximately 50 people have been charged. The law specifically aims at veiling with a burqa or a niqab, and it is meant to promote integration of Muslims. According to the law, it is punishable with up to 150 Euros, if the face is made invisible between chin and brows.

German Finance Minister: “We Can’t Change The Course Of History. Accept That Islam Is A Part Of Germany Now.”

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble (CDU) told Germans:

“We can’t stop the course of history. Everyone will have to deal with the fact that Islam has become a part of our country.”

While Schäuble said that Muslims in Germany needed to realize that they live in a country that was not shaped by Islamic traditions, he concluded:

“And the rest of the population has to accept that there is a growing proportion of Muslims in Germany.”

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble (CDU): “We can’t stop the course of history.”

Wolfgang Schäuble is one of Angela Merkel’s most loyal old confidantes; he has served as the Federal Interior Minister under her 2005-2009; and as the Finance Minister from 2009 until present.

Germany: Top Islamic Lobbyist Makes Revealing Tweet

A top Islamic lobbyist in Germany is boasting about his excellent connections to the German establishment in a series of tweets.
He isn’t just an ordinary guest on the party convention of Merkel’s CDU that is taking place today:

“We are guests of honor on all conventions of our democratic parties in Germany, and on the #cdupt18 [CDU party convention 2018]”

(source: Aiman Mazyek on Twitter, Feb. 26, 10:09 AM CET)

The clause “all conventions of democratic parties” appears to be a dig at the Islam-critical party AfD (Alternative für Deutschland), who do not invite Islamic lobbyists to their conventions. Mr. Mazyek seems to imply here that only a non-democratic party would not have him as a guest of honor.

The AfD now come second strongest in opinion polls in Germany, while the two established, and traditionally largest parties, Merkel’s CDU and the SPD, have seen their historic lows in the recent elections.
Nevertheless, they have been in negotations for weeks now to form another ‘Grand Coalition’ government for the next 4 years, while the AfD is the strongest oppositional party in the Bundestag.

SPD and CDU’s mutual government declaration of last week included the statement of intent to fight “anti-Islamic sentiments”, a first-time in a German government declaration.

Aiman Mazyek is chair of the ZMD, Council of Muslims in Germany, a frequent talk show guest, and not just the German mainstream media’s darling:

Aiman Mazyek, Angela Merkel and Social Democrat chief Sigmar Gabriel at a 2015 “vigil” in Berlin in response another Islamic terror attack.

His organization ZMD was founded as recent as 1994, their name mimicking the long-established ZJD, Council of Jews in Germany.

Organizationally, Mr. Mazyek’s ZMD is an umbrella organization for Islamic groups in Germany, including a thinly veiled German branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Some researchers deem the ZMD as a whole a covert Muslim Brotherhood organization. The Muslim Brotherhood is banned as a terrorist organization in Germany.

Another tweet by Mr. Mazyek earlier indicates what to expect from the new German government:

“Guest at the #cdupt18 [CDU party convention 2018] … met the designated integration minister Anette Widman-Mauz – looking forward to the cooperation.”

Germany: Protests Over New Mosque Construction Sites

The local press independently reports two, apparently unconnected, instances of resistance against current Mosque construction projects, both in the state of Bavaria, south Germany.

Photo: Silvio Wyszengrad

Someone in Augsburg spray-painted the facade of an Ahmadiyya mosque construction site with the words:

“Anyone building Churches in Turkey
Germans wake up“,

and in Regensburg, unknown people have erected 26 crosses, displaying the names of terror victims, on the construction grounds for a planned Turkish Ditib Mosque:

Screenshot Bayerischer Rundfunk

Augsburger Allgemeine report on the spray-painted mosque that

“Raziq Ahmad Tariq, member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jemaat, finds the message behind the graffiti terrible. “It is sad that there is such thinking in Germany.“ (…) Tariq finds it problematic that people have a wrong impression of Islam. The community wants to provide educational work. He says there are afternoon coffee parties planned. On these occasions, they want to introduce themselves to the people of Augsburg. “We want people to get to know us.“

Tariq, when you will hold these coffee parties to give the good people of Augsburg the right impression of Islam, do mention the barbaric “honor“ killings that Ahmadiyya have commited in Germany, will you?

At least Augsburger Allgemeine have the integrity to mention that despite propagating an allegedly peaceful, “true“ Islam; “the inner rules are said to be strict, headscarf is mandatory, and gender segregation is strict.“

Meanwhile, in Regensburg, Bayerischer Rundfunk report that the mosque association Ditib (Erdogan’s extension in Germany) lamented that the construction site “looked like a graveyard“, and called it an “attack on the peaceful coexistence of Christians and Muslims“, and demanded a stronger presence of the security authorities to be “better protected from abuse like that in the future“.

So a peaceful, creative protest is an attack, and us kafir being killed in terror attacks and suffering daily abuse is “peaceful coexistence“.

Update: The Identitäre Bewegung Bayern, the Identitarian Movement Bavaria, today (Feb. 14) announced that the crosses were their initiative. While acknowledging that Ditib are not directly responsible for terrorism, the Identitären criticize that Ditib in general is an extension of Erdogan, and that Ditib Regensburg in particular featured the radical convert and Salafist Pierre Vogel, and other radical Salafists, as guest speakers.

“Prague Is Like It Used To Be With US” – A Berliner’s Thoughts In Festive Prague

A friend who lives in Berlin sent this note from Prague:

Tonight, I strolled home from a bar, between 4 and 5 in the morning, for half an hour, alone, across the city. The city was quiet. No rubbish, no screaming. At important buildings, there was the occasional police officer, not paying attention to me. At the access road to the old city, there was another police officer, freezing and bored in the middle of the road, but he was there. Scattered party-goers came my way, with civilized behavior. An elderly man walked his dogs on a leash. I felt safe on the whole way, I had nothing* in my pockets, I dilly-dallied and enjoyed the christmas decorations at the castle hill. All of it was simply enchanting, peace in freedom. Precious christmas decorations were fixed even on the outside of the ground floor windows, little trees with balls, and mangers stood directly on the pedestrian walk, or on the doorsteps. Apparently, no one here is expecting theft, vandalism, riots.

Prague is like it used to be with us.

There had been only nice, civilized people in the bar, most of them czech, and a single black person among them who was eager to be the nicest person, too. Earlier this night a friend had told me about Mannheim, where, as a woman, you don’t go anywhere alone at night anymore. And WE are lecturing the Visegrad states? On what? Spare your words!

Pakistanis riot, demanding much that makes Lilliput look perfectly reasonable

It has been some decades since I read Gulliver’s Travels. The main part, and the part no one seems to remember anything else other than, is where two nations go to war over which end of the egg should be cracked before consuming it.

Well Pakistan has it beat.

For weeks now, major riots have been taking place resulting in numerous deaths and massive and regular breaches of all civilized rules, such as not hiding fighters in ambulances etc. All because a legislator proposed something and didn’t mention Islam’s founder and pirate in chief, Mohammad.

The legislator apologized and blamed it on a clerical error when he saw the scale and viciousness of the rioters but that wasn’t enough for them. They now demand his resignation and more.

(Maybe if Pakistan had some better TV shows?)

For more of this planned directed chaos intended to intimidate the few Pakistani legislators who may have a trace of liberal consciousness, please look at the comments in the Reader’s Links posts over the past few days and even last week.

Thank you M. and all who sent in related materials. This is no small thing. It is happening increasingly and with increasing lethality in the West. The Charlie Hebdo massacre was absolutely a manifestation of this consciousness.

Also the normalizing of the very concept of blasphemy as a criminal matter, and deserving of death is extremely serious. It was a scant few years ago when all of us would have thought the notion primitive, medieval and not possible in the modern world.

Toronto District School Board, defines Islamophobia as criticism of “Islamic politics or culture”

And now the monster reveals his true face.

From The Toronto Star:

TORONTO – B’nai Brith Canada is raising concerns about an overly broad definition of Islamophobia adopted by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), which would prohibit staff and students from criticizing “Islamic politics”.

The TDSB’s Islamic Heritage Month Resource Guidebook, which will be used in schools across Toronto this October, defines Islamophobia as “fear, prejudice, hatred or dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or toward Islamic politics or culture.” The Guidebook was designed by TDSB project co-chairs Nazerah Shaikh and Haniya Sheikh, with support from the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM).

The TDSB definition, if enforced, could lead to punishment for students or teachers who display “dislike” toward the persecution of LGTBQ people in the Islamic Republic of Iran, harsh restrictions on women in Saudi Arabia, and Palestinian terrorism against Israelis, all of which are examples of “Islamic politics”.

This might be a good time to have a look at the official logo of the Toronto District School Board:

Looks oddly familiar.

The planned definition of Isolamophobia by the TDSB is clearly an example of the Islamic definition of slander (Ghiba) as explained in Reliance of the Traveler.

“Telling anything to a Muslim that he would not like” in essence.
