This time, the BBC had to find some by-the-book out there leftist prof. from the University of Texas to obfuscate and avoid any actual pertinent facts about the French riots and try and stuff it back into the usual commie narrative talking points. Poverty, (without explaining why) unemployment (without explaining why) and “being disenfranchised” all the while giving the current socialist government of France a pass for the responsibility because they have only been in power a few months. None of this of course is pertinent or even information about the riots. Just classic slapstick BBC propaganda. Like the CBC in Canada, if we didn’t have to pay for it, it would be funny as hell.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 (UPI) — All parties to violence in Myanmar are called on to uphold the basic principles of religious tolerance, a U.S. State Department official said.
Washington in July dispatched Farah Pandith, special envoy to Muslim communities, to Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, to meet with leaders from religious and ethnic groups in the region.
“She discussed areas for cooperation with Muslim communities in Burma, including education, rule of law, and economic opportunity, with a particular focus on young people,” the State Department said in a briefing on her visit.

Pensioner ranted at police as race row got heatedA PENSIONER who claimed he had been the victim of racist abuse ranted at police because he believed his complaint was not taken seriously because he was white.
Retired mental health social worker James Evans, of Bath Road, Worcester, admitted a section five public order when he appeared before a district judge at Worcester Magistrates Court .
The court heard how the 65-year-old shouted at staff at Worcester police station where he was attempting to report what he believed was an offence against him at around 11am on July 25.
Sam Webley, prosecuting, said Evans became agitated at having to wait and accused one of the counter staff of being incompetent.
A constable asked Evans to calm down and not be abusive to counter staff.
Mrs Webley said: “He is described as red in the face and asked for the PC’s badge number. He said he was being asked to wait like a little dog.” He was arrested and taken to the custody suite where he continued to be abusive. “He said: ‘If I was Asian this wouldn’t have happened,’” said Mrs Webley.
Evans, who represented himself, told the court that he had been distressed at the time and was concerned that the Celtic and Anglo-Saxon people of Britain are completely erased from any considerations of race.
“I went to ask an Asian chap if he would mind moving his car because we couldn’t see to get out of our drive,” said Evans.
“I was met with a tirade of abuse and was told that you whites had better watch your step. I felt really betrayed and distressed. “I know from my experience as a social worker that had my actions been by an Asian person or by any other racial group but my own they would have been taken more seriously and treated in a completely different way.”
Tis one law for me, another for thee
Did you hear about the guy who was fired from his retail job because he was wearing a Che T shirt at a leftist rally? You know Che? Castor’s personal torturer and the man who believed in slaughtering whole villages if it meant forcing communism on the area would be achieved? You didn’t hear about that?
Well how about the civil servant who was let go because he belonged to a communist party on his own time and who wanted to destroy the capitalist system and impose a new communist order.
No? doesn’t ring a bell?
OK how about the guy who was fired from his union trades job because of his affiliations with the Occupy movement as well as taking part in other illegal protests like BDS, the belief that Israel must be destroyed by having no international commerce with them at all.
No?
Well that’s because to the best of my knowledge, none of those things ever happened.

Ottawa police have a similar thing. They call it, ‘FIDO” which stands for ‘Ef it and drive on’ The reason is that if they actually bother to engage minorities commiting crimes they will get charges of racism which make life so difficult for them that they don’t bother and they just drive on.

Police are failing to investigate crimes committed by ethnic minorities because they fear being branded racist, a report claims.
A pamphlet by think-tank Civitas, released today, says pressure to show racial sensitivity may have been behind the initial failure to properly investigate Asian street grooming gangs in the North of England.
Jon Gower Davies, a former academic, links the failure to police being branded ‘institutionally racist’ by the Macpherson report into the death of Stephen Lawrence, which he says left police ‘shackled’ by bureaucracy.

The pamphlet, which is entitled’ Mind-Forg’d Manacles: Murder, Macpherson and the Police’ finds Macpherson lacked evidence for the charge of institutional racism which he says ‘lacks substance’.
This year a gang from Rochdale were jailed for plying teenage girls with alcohol before raping them.
All but one gang member was of an Asian Pakistani background.
Saudi to reverse Shia property ban
Wait a minute, hold on here WHAT!?!?!!
Hey maybe someone should tell the “Israeli Apartheid” morons protesting in front of Montreal and Australian stores that deal with Israeli made items or are owned by Israel based firms about this. I didn’t even know that in Saudi Arabia, at least until this ban is reversed, that you could not even buy property if you are the wrong flavour of muslim and certainly not if you were anywhere near the preferred kind, in this case, Sunni.
Of course its no surprise that Jews are not allowed in the KSA at all, but that kind of apartheid is the new normal. But I am shocked that the left hasn”t noticed this kind of Systemic discrimination against a whole identifiable group of Muslims!
Or is it that they have noticed, and just hoped we didn’t.

Saudi authorities have decided to withdraw a ruling issued by a senior religious scholar in the Kingdom which prevented the sale of real estate to members of the Shia community.
A branch of the Ministry of Islamic affairs in the Eastern Province issued a circular to mosques repealing the fatwa of the late Sheikh Abdullah bin Jibrin which prohibited the sale of real estate to Shias.
Jibrin’s decree had said it was wrong to sell property to Shias if the property was in the vicinity of Sunni families or in Sunni villages or towns.
Shia Muslims, who make up around five percent of Saudi’s 27 million-strong population, are concentrated in the oil rich Eastern Region, but there are also smaller communities in the holy city of Medina and other areas.
They are routinely prejudiced against, and face marginalization in Saudi society.
Saudi security forces have often suppressed their grievances by force, with anti-government protests by attacked on a regular basis.

Chris Knowles has been a good friend of mine for several years, and has known Ned (the Baron at Gates of Vienna) even longer. Up until today, Chris had been an employee of the Leeds City Council for about seventeen years. Last autumn, during the hysteria after the Breivik massacre, The Sunday Times started investigating Chris and other Brits associated with ICLA. After the ST published an article “outing” him, Chris was suspended from his job. Finally, today he was sacked. Chris has never said or done anything that would remotely warrant his being fired.
Teachers who belong to far-right groups could be kicked out school
One of the most common, and effective, tricks of the totalitarian regime is to create a label most can agree is unacceptable to the (classically) liberal mind, then paint that label on to any group you want to get rid of. The Soviets did it, the Nazis did it, all psychotic genocidal regimes do it and frankly even moderate and soft post-democratic regimes do it to a lesser degree.
This is the UK doing it. Pretend the EDL are ‘far-right’ and ignore the fact that center-traditional Islam in fact reflects what people think of as ‘far-right’ almost to the letter (loathing of Jews, contempt for women, religious fanatics etc) and then pass laws saying that people who can be called far right, as opposed to those who really are, can be summarily dismissed from any job in government. And of course, in a socialist state like the UK, probably close to 65% of all jobs are government. I believe it was Mark Steyn who pointed out that the British Health Services are the world’s third largest employer after the Chinese military and the India railway company.
Also, if the UK teachers union is anything like the American or Canadian teachers unions it is virtually impossible to fire a teacher for anything short of actual cannibalism of students. So if they can fire them for a trumped up version of political opinion, the UK will have sunk that much deeper into a very bad place indeed.

Scotland’s teaching regulator is facing calls to strike off members of the profession with links to far-right groups such as the British National Party and the Scottish Defence League.
Members of the country’s largest teaching union, the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), have tabled a motion to their upcoming AGM calling on the General Teaching Council for Scotland and the Scottish Government to “minimise the influence” of such groups in schools.
However, it is expected that delegates at this week’s meeting will go a step further and call for members of the profession with links to extremist groups to be removed from the teaching register.
Currently, teachers working in Scotland’s schools do not have to declare whether they are the member of a political party or other such group.
The General Teaching Council for England was axed after it failed to take action against a BNP activist who described immigrants as “savage animals” on an internet forum.

BBC, the olympics, and anti-Israel bias

One is used to this sort of thing from The Guardian: its Israel-loathing anti-Semitism has long been a matter of public record. But The Guardian is a privately-run, commercial enterprise with the right in law to believe as its proprietor wishes and speak as its editor wills.
The same rights do not extend to the BBC, which is publicly owned and financed by the British taxpayer, with a commitment to broadcast impartiality and factual accuracy.
His Grace has been following this story closely for the past week: The Commentator blog drew attention to the fact that the BBC’s online Olympic coverage was manifestly anti-Israel and pro-Palestine: every participating nation had its capital city listed, bar the state of Israel, which was left blank. Yet the non-state of Palestine had its capital listed as ‘East Jerusalem’. Despite Israel’s seat of government – the Knesset – being in Jerusalem, and despite a plethora of foreign embassies being located in Tel Aviv, the BBC opted to identify neither as Israel’s capital city. And yet, despite the Palestinian seat of government being in Ramallah, and despite Jerusalem not being divided, the BBC opted to carve the East away and hand it, lock, stock and barrel (Temple Mount, Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre) to the self-proclaimed Palestinian Authority.
