Since sunday, numerous caravans have occupied without authorisation a vaste private terrain at Collombey-Muraz (VS).

Society: Eight hundred gipsies are squatting on a terrain at Collombey-Muraz (VS) [Valais canton], to the great regret of the farmers. The population’s incomprehension and anger have led those elected to propose ways-out.

 

They have landed with some fifty caravans, sunday on a private land close to Collombey-Muraz (VS). Yesterday morning, ‘we have counted 77 of them, and more keep coming’, deplores Simon Turin, the farmer exploiting this field where gens du voyage [travelling people] of french origin have chosen their quarters in complete illegality. The gipsies should be more than 800 this weekend, in order to celebrate a wedding.

 

Irritated, Simon Turin and Paul Kunz, this land’s proprietor, have appealed to the forces of order, hoping to see the gypsies leave the place. But it won’t be that way. They will stay there until sunday, to the great regret of the farmers and the local population, all of them fearing for their security, and not understanding why these people’s presence is enforced upon them. With regard to police, officers – ‘bereft’ of the option to demand their expulsion – are in a bad position having to negotiate with the gipsies, according to Jean-Marie Bornet, speaker of the Valais canton police.

 

Contacted yesterday, the Valais security minister Esther Waeber-Kalbermatten is not envisaging an imminent solution. And does not appear to consider the situation’s dimension: ‘Police do their maximum to safeguard the population’s safety. They respond to the orders of the prosecution service.’ A Valais prosecution service whose role it is ‘to stop those infractions which persist’, explains Nicolas Dubuis, procureur général adjoint. ‘But this set of problems with travellers is complex. Jakarta, 13 July (AKI/Jakarta Post) – Authorities have arrested 29 people accused of being part of a cannibal cult in Papua New Guinea’s jungle interior and charged them with the murders of seven suspected witch doctors, police said Friday.

Madang Police Commander Anthony Wagambie confirmed a report in The National newspaper that said the cult members allegedly ate their victims’ brains raw and made soup from their penises.

An evil father-in-law who imprisoned his son’s Pakistani bride as a sex slave has been jailed – after his victim learned enough English to call police and beg for help.

The depraved 56-year-old stripped the bride of her jewellery and passport after she came to Britain following an arranged marriage, a court heard.

He made her swear on the Koran that she would keep the abuse a secret and promised to heap shame on her by forcing her to divorce his son if she refused his demands for sex.

But after more than three months of abuse, she summoned the little English she had picked up and called 999 at dead of night to plead with the police for help.

Her life was such unbearable misery that she contemplated suicide, Bradford Crown Court heard, after her husband effectively abandoned her at his parents’ home.

The defendant, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, subjected the 22-year-old to ‘repeated and sustained’ sexual abuse, scratching her arm with a screwdriver and burning her with an iron to reinforce his authority over her, the court heard.

A vulnerable pensioner who died after a violent fall lay on the floor bleeding for up to ten minutes because a Muslim nurse was away praying, an inquest has heard.

Abdul Bhutto stayed on a prayer mat in an office when Dorothy Griffiths suffered serious injuries at Valley Park care home in Wombwell, South Yorkshire, witnesses claimed.

And once Mr Bhutto came to check the patient he said she was fine, only for her to take a turn for the worse four hours later, the inquest was told.

On October 24 last year Mrs Griffiths had fallen from her bed, cutting her head and suffering a gash to her hip.

She had been a resident at the home since developing advanced Alzheimer’s disease in 2009, and eventually died at Barnsley Hospital in November.

Carer Zoe Shaw told Sheffield Coroners Court she heard a ‘bang’ in the early hours of the morning and discovered the 89-year-old on the floor.

Worried for her welfare she ran to the office to request Mr Bhutto take a look at the elderly woman.

Weeping as she gave evidence she said she tried to call him and another member of staff told her she ‘had to wait two minutes for him to finish’ as he prayed.

Saltburn is a small seaside town in the North East of England, the part of North Yorkshire that contains Middlesborough, and one of the depressed working class areas where Muslims have moved to in droves.

The only thing astonishing about this story, is that:

(a) The MSM are covering it: this is porbably due to that fact that the story was broken by a citizen journalist site.

(b) Politicians will claim it is an isolated incident.

(c) The powers that be will assure everyone that where we’re headed is a future in which things like this are less, rather than exponentially more, likely.

It is a chilling image that will go around the world – police taking aim at a woman in a hijab after a tip-off claiming she could have a bomb in her bag.

It is not known if the holdall contained an explosive or not but officers were not taking any chances.

The incident is on-going eight hours after it started at the seafront in Saltburn, Teesside, today. Army bomb disposal experts are believed to be on site.

Cleveland Police have not yet confirmed the exact nature of the incident but said it was sparked after ‘information’ they received about the woman’s conduct. They said the area has been cordoned off and they are concerned about the welfare of a woman.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a white woman wearing a dress with a veil sitting on a bench surrounded by armed police, who were alerted shortly after 11am. At 6.40pm, negotiations with her were still taking place.

Residents in Saltburn say they believe it is a woman local to the area.

More than 80 children have suffered appalling abuse after being branded as witches in a crimewave fuelled by medieval beliefs imported from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

The scale of the problem – with many youngsters being beaten, starved and kept in cages – was revealed as a football coach was found guilty of torturing a boy to death.

Eric Bikubi, 28, faces life in prison after murdering 15-year-old Kristy Bamu in a four-day orgy of almost unimaginable violence.

Over the past decade, Scotland Yard has recorded 83 cases of children suffering barbaric treatment, including bizarre exorcism rituals. But detectives fear there may be hundreds of other young victims.

Bikubi was in the grip of a lifetime obsession with kindoki, or witchcraft, and believed he had special powers to detect evil.

His girlfriend, former Marks & Spencer worker Magalie Bamu, 29, the victim’s eldest sister, was also convicted of murder at the Old Bailey.

Kristy suffered 130 injuries as he was attacked with weapons including a metal bar, hammer, chisel, pliers and even heavy ceramic floor tiles.

He drowned in a bath on Christmas Day 2010 in front of his four terrified siblings as Bikubi hosed them down with freezing water in an abhorrent ‘cleansing’ ritual.

The murder took place just nine days after a woman disembowelled her four-year-old daughter as a sacrifice because she believed the child was possessed.

Shayma Ali, who was later detained indefinitely in a mental hospital, was obsessed with evil spirits and had removed all the eyes from the little girl’s toys.

Both cases, which took place just a few miles apart in East London, shocked detectives. They warned the number of cases linked to witchcraft is growing but the beliefs behind them remain little understood.

Father whipped family, daughter tells murder trial

A daughter of a man who is on trial for murdering his wife at the Adelaide Convention Centre has told the Supreme Court she saw her father being pulled off her mother with a knife in his hand.

Zialloh Abrahimzadeh allegedly murdered his wife in front of 300 people at a Persian community celebration at the Convention Centre in March 2010 by repeatedly stabbing her in the back.

The couple’s eldest daughter, 25-year-old Atena, has testified against her father.

She told the court he was an abusive and aggressive man.

Ms Abrahimzadeh said her father regularly punished his wife and children by slapping and whipping them.

She said he once beat her for an hour after catching her talking to a boy on the phone and tried to suffocate her with a pillow.

The woman told the court her father said he was not a man if he did not teach his family a lesson and he swore on the Koran that he would kill them.

She said her mother was scared when she saw him arrive at the function and security staff had been asked to move him.

Ms Abrahimzadeh told the court she turned and saw her mother on the floor and her father was being restrained by up to 10 people, with a knife in his hand.

The trial continues.

This is a recurring theme it seems when muslims stab. beat or shoot someone in the UK. “I only wanted to scare them-him-her with it” (the shotgun bomb or knife or blade in this case. Is there even any point in playing the turn-around game with this? Like what would have happened had the white indigenous British girl slashed the Somali with a blade like that?

Well after all, its worth it. Think of all the great restaurants. I mean who wouldn’t suffer a few stitches to get a chance to eat at one of London’s finer Somali restaurants.

THanks to an observant reader I have been informed that I missed the date in this article which is  30 June 2006

I posted it because I thought it was recent, but also because the phrase was also used in a recent fatal shotgun shooting of a British man by a Muslim who also claimed ‘he only wanted to scare’.

A 13-year-old girl who slashed a classmate across the face, leaving her needing 30 stitches, was today given a two-year supervision order by a judge.

Yesterday the girl, who cannot be named, was found guilty of unlawfully wounding Shanni Naylor at Myrtle Springs School in Sheffield last year when both girls were 12 but she was cleared of the more serious charge of wounding with intent.

Today at Sheffield Crown Court, the Recorder of Sheffield, Judge Alan Goldsack QC, said he did not have the power to give the girl a custodial sentence.

The three-day trial was told that, the day before the attack, the girl was subjected to a “vicious” assault by Shanni, who punched her repeatedly, banging her head against a wall, as more than 100 pupils looked on without helping.

The court heard the defendant describe how she did not plan to attack Shanni the next day but had found the blade and only wanted to scare her with it.

The jury was told how the girl had an extremely low IQ and had lived in Somalia for the first 10 years of her life without any formal education and having been orphaned when she was young. Continue Reading →

Universities are dropping maths from degree courses because students – and their lecturers –  cannot cope with it, a report warns today.

Decades of substandard maths education in schools has led to a ‘crisis’ in England’s number skills, threatening the future of the economy, it says.

Universities are being forced to dumb down degree courses requiring the use of maths, including sciences, economics, psychology and social sciences.

Students are unable to tackle complex problems and their lecturers struggle to teach them anyway, it is claimed.

The reputation of the country’s universities and graduates is now under threat, according to the report, ‘Solving the Maths Problem’, published by the education lobby group RSA.

 

After looking at maths education in other countries, the authors found that lessons and qualifications in English schools were ‘not fit for purpose’.

They say that classes fail to stretch the brightest while leaving weaker pupils ill-equipped to use maths for work and family budgeting, and warn of a growing knock-on effect on universities.

It seems that courses at British universities cover the basics like never before.
