Riots or colour revolutions in Israel and France?

Here at Vlad, we haven’t paid much attention to the rioting in Israel or France. Without giving it much effort or thought, it looked like a colour revolution in Israel for sure, meaning a leftist led attempt to overthrow a nationalist state and preserve/create a more Marxist organizational system. In France, it looked like something STRATFOR used to talk about when it was able to post what it really believed before Obama apparently redirected their content. And that is how Leftists would hijack a protest which was actually not really a leftist issue, and make it appear to be one.

In the most kinetic of videos that we have seen posted to the comments at Vlad, (Thank you very much all who found and posted them) it looks an awful lot like ANTIFA, both in the fashion sense they show, and the slogans they paint on walls. Things like ACAB and other English acronyms or initialisms we see in the videos. It doesn’t seem entirely reasonable that in a country more famous for rioting than for cheese, it would take a two year increase from 62 to 64 in the retirement age to cause this. Especially when the solution seems like it would be easy. Grandfather in all workers to the current age of retirement since that was the contract, and new hires work to the new retirement age.

Granted there is another layer here. Macron’s government attempted to pass this change by ignoring all parliamentary and legislative procedure and enacting it by decree. The French are famously annoyed by that kind of behaviour as should all Democratic peoples. Canadians on the other hand won’t even write a letter to the government or the newspaper unless their cable company tries to sneak up the bill by adding useless channels you have to opt out of. To be blunt, that is the only time we have ever seen Bob Canadian get off his arse and object in any real numbers and to any real effect.

Granted in France, communists are attempting to hijack these massive protests. But they are reaching an Egyptian level of participation and we may see something like a collapse of government. To what, i shudder to think. Things rarely go towards liberty and the individual anywhere anymore.

Do they use voting machines in France?

More Twitter videos of the protests can be seen here, here and here as well as in the Reader’s Links post comments over the last several weeks.

The real reason for this post is to introduce this Caroline Glick video. As a former editor of the Jerusalem Post and political pundit, she is in a much better position to look at both these countries and what is taking place and offer some reason. Our own degree of uncertainty about French and Israeli riots coupled with not paying much attention to them so far, means we welcome all comments from anyone who has an informed perspective on them in the comments. Let’s see what Caroline Glick has to say:

A few news items suggesting that the war in Eastern Europe has marquee dates in nine other countries

Sofia Globe: Bucharest Nine: Russia is the most significant and direct threat to Allied security

Russia is the most significant and direct threat to Allied security, according to a declaration adopted on February 22 by the Bucharest Nine, at a meeting attended by the heads of state of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and the Slovak Republic, as well as US President Joe Biden and Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“A year ago, Russia ravaged peace and security in Europe by trying to subdue Ukraine by force. Kremlin’s actions led to a drastic degradation of the security environment in the Euro-Atlantic area, also gravely deteriorating the security of our partners,” the declaration said.

UPI.com: Joe Biden tells NATO, Bucharest Nine democracy is at stake in Ukraine war

Feb. 22 (UPI) — Calling the Eastern European countries that make up Bucharest Nine the “frontline of our collective defense” against Russia, U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday pledged the United States’ continued support, particularly with Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Biden talked with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and the Bucharest Nine leaders in Warsaw, Poland, as he concluded his three-day trip, which included a surprise visit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

“You know better than anyone what’s at stake in this conflict, not just for Ukraine but for the freedom of democracies throughout Europe and around the world,” Biden said Wednesday. “That’s what President Zelensky and I talked about when I was in Kyiv. The leaders around this table have repeatedly stepped up to confirm our shared commitment to all of these values.”

Euractiv. com: Fresh from Kyiv, Biden rallies ‘Bucharest Nine’ allies in Warsaw

Fresh from his visit to Ukraine, US President Joe Biden will rally NATO’s eastern allies in Poland on Wednesday (22 February), a group of countries in which most – but not all – are strong supporters of military aid to Ukraine.

Biden used the trip to rally support for Ukraine as the war enters its second year, with no end in sight, and it came on the same day as a speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin in which he accused the West of seeking Russia’s destruction and dangled the threat of nuclear war.

Before returning to Washington on Wednesday, Biden will meet leaders of the Bucharest Nine, the countries on NATO’s eastern flank, to reaffirm support for their security.

The ‘Bucharest Nine’ (B9) was founded on 4 November 2015 in Bucharest, at the initiative of the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis and the President of Poland Andrzej Duda during a bilateral meeting between them. It gathers the Presidents of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

Out of curiosity, what is the ethnicity of these nations? In general I mean. How diverse are they? What would the overall albedo of the peoples in all these nations, including Russia and Ukraine be like?

But wait, there’s more!

From the dialectic Daily Mail: Hungary’s far-right Prime Minister Viktor Orban SNUBS Biden and Bucharest Nine meeting on president’s final day in Warsaw after saying only Trump could end war in Ukraine

Hungary’s far-right Prime Minister Viktor Orban snubbed Wednesday’s meeting in Warsaw with President Joe Biden and the other Bucharest Nine leaders after insisting Donald Trump was the only person who could broker peace with Vladimir Putin.

Orban has been an outlier on the war in Ukraine, chiding the European Union for prolonging the conflict and saying in October that only former U.S. President Donald Trump could negotiate a deal between the Ukrainians and Russians to end the conflict.

‘This is going to sound brutal, but hope for peace goes by the name of Donald Trump,’ Orban said at the time, arguing Biden wasn’t the man for the job because he has ‘gone too far’ in calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a ‘war criminal.

(Remember when being far right meant you started and fuelled wars? Those were the days.)

China, Trudeau and the balloons

First, a breakdown of Trudeau’s tough-talk presser on the balloon he pretended to order the USAF to shoot down. The host made a claim that Canadian jets cannot make that altitude. Unless we actually have F22s, he is right. The ceiling on an F18 is listed at 36,000 Ft at one link. 50,000 at another though.
But the real thing here is that Trudeau actively encourages breaches of our national and sovereign territory by anyone and everyone who will be a threat to Canada. Sometimes paying them 8 figures if they are enough of a threat.

At Roxham Rd. in Quebec, the RCMP have been turned into bellhops and they even built a special structure so that the public cannot see the masses coming across the border illegally. The idea was to stop reporters who aren’t under government payroll from photographing or videoing the deliberate destruction of Canada in this particular manner. So to hear Trudeau talk like this is just another form of contempt he has for Canada, and Canadians. Remember, with the left, the point is never the point. The revolution is always the point.

There is not a lot of substance in this first video. Watch at 1.75 speed. Once he starts on reading people’s tweets you can stop.

Richard Fadden has always been good. Which is probably why he isn’t head of CSIS anymore. One wonders what this interview was like before the censors at CTV got to it. Mr. Fadden was warning Canadians that China owns a lot of our politicians for over a decade.

CBC from before 2014. At this point there was a trace of information left in CBC’s operations and a touch of speaking truth for the purpose of keeping power in check.

In a conversation with a friend last night, he used a phrase about current events which I thought was so accurate, we made a meme of it. Chances are, Canada will feel the effects of the Chinese effort to take Taiwan far far more than we feel Russia’s ambitions to annex the Donbas.

Please download and read this document called, “The Secret Speech of General Chi Haotian. This claims to be a speech given as to ambitions, rationale and methods for Chinese global manifest destiny. The analysis of Nazi methodology alone is worth the time to read it.

One wonders if the Chinese are 80s rock fans. The lyrics are closer to the events today than I had remembered.

US destroys “Chinese” balloon over the Atlantic

What the hell was the payload if they needed to make sure it was over the ocean before they took it down?

FOX News:

The U.S. military has shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean.

While the balloon was off the coast of South Carolina, the balloon was shot down by U.S. military fighter jets on Saturday afternoon, according to Fox News sources.

A senior defense official said during a Thursday afternoon briefing that the U.S. government is “confident” the surveillance balloon is from the People’s Republic of China.

Video at link. Shows falling white cloth, doesn’t say much else. Less in a way.

update: At 42:30 the balloon is destroyed but you don’t see how or by what. It just comes apart. Early in the video a military jet passes close to it. When they zoom out you see another jet which seems likely to have destroyed the balloon. Laser, missile or whatever.

Interesting interview with NATO chief on war with Russia

It is unfortunate that the NATO spokesman is so unfamiliar with game-theory that he reduces Russia’s nuclear option to one of rationality. Game theory actually shows that when a person is faced with losing everything and they only have a trump card left to play, a rational person likely will play it. What is rational is situational and perceptual.

US set to directly engage Russia

1. 101st Airborne deployed in Romania

2. NATO US Airborne and British army troops land in Latvia

3. CBS News in Romania with the 101

(There is more in the Daily Reader’s Links Post. They all seem to have the theme, “The fight started when he hit me back”. The US will directly engage Russia “if the war escalates”. Of course defining what escalation is will be at the sole discretion of the United States and will be as meaningful as the new definitions the US made for “Vaccines”, “Pandemics”, “Terrorism”, “Insurrection”, “Racism” and any other word that is subject to change for what is in the interests of the Democrat party and its ambitions at any given moment. These are neither NATO nations, nor are they even EU. But it does seem that the United States, NATO, the UK and the EU are all determined to put us all in the crosshairs of a world war with a nuclear armed nation that has vastly superior nuclear weapons and delivery systems than does the West. Russia, if open source material is to be believed, has hypersonic first strike nuclear missiles. Russia’s incursion into the Donbas was a bad move. But US refusal to allow Ukraine to negotiate a peace deal with Russia was a worse one. Once again it may be worth reading the Hungarian Credit-Swiss financial analyst, Zoltan Pozsar, who seems to have a pretty good grasp of the geopolitics of why this is happening, on the likely results of this scenario, and why it is playing out as it is.

Frankly I think between the WEF front men like Biden and Trudeau and Putin’s past as a KGB info-warrior, or at least the leader of a nation heavily involved in it, I think they have finally found a way to start a world war with no good guys.)

Putin’s speech yesterday

First, Dr. Steve Turley does his analysis of Putin’s speech and actions within that speech yesterday:

Below is the entire speech with a live, real-time English translation voice over. I asked our long standing Russian translator to check it and she said it was honest, but sloppy and lacked nuance as all live voiceover translations do. But you get the gist.

Below, English subtitles. It may be a better translation

Various clips and news items on Nordstream II which might hint at who dunnit

1. Victoria Nuland, January 27, 2022

2. February 8, 2022: Biden threatens to stop crucial gas pipeline if Russia invades Ukraine

3. Click here to see actual video footage of the gas leak from Danish sources

It is reasonably suspected that the pipeline was blown up by the special services of Britain or the United States in order to finally close the issue of gas supplies to Germany and complete its full economic vassalization.
??The width of the leak on the surface is several hundred meters??
Damage from loss of gas in gas pipelines. If we do not take into account the cost of restoration, then there were only about 500 million cubic meters of gas in the gas pipelines.
This corresponds to an average consumption in Germany of about two days. Based on current prices on the EU gas market, this volume has a market value of more than €800 million.
The gas in the Nord Stream—2 gas pipeline belongs to Nord Stream 2 AG itself, and Gazprom is a 100% shareholder. The gas in the Nord Stream-1 gas pipeline also most likely belongs to Gazprom, i.e. all losses today are losses of the Russian side. Someone will have to pay the bill.

4. The people at Richter appear to have registered a 2.2 event in the area of the Nordstream pipeline leak. This suggests quite an explosion.

6. U.S. Blew Up Russian Gas Pipelines Nord Stream 1 & 2, Says Former Polish Defense Minister

A former Polish Defense Minister, Radek Sikorski, has attributed to the United States the sabotage of two pipelines, Nord Stream 1 and 2, which carry natural gas from Russia to Germany. “Thank you, USA,” Sikorski wrote on Twitter. Sikorski was Minister of National Defense from 2005 – 2007 and served as Deputy Minister of National Defense and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, previously. He is currently an elected member of the European parliament.

Nord Stream 1 and 2 lie on the bed of the Baltic Sea. Nord Stream 2 was finished last year but Germany never opened it because Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

More to come

Russia takes more militant stance on it’s war with Ukraine

This report is more spin than fact. But what isn’t in war time. More will be posted as it becomes available. But it isn’t good whatever view you get. This discussion on a referendum in Donbas is ludicrous. It needs to be looked into if the people of the Donbas actually held a referendum before the invasion, or if this is something the people of the Donbas actually want. In any case, here is a report on today’s announcement by Putin and we will post more as we get it. Hopefully we can find a factual one which details just what Putin said and you can make up your own minds.

(As soon as I can find a straight forward video that explains what Putin actually said, I will post it at the top. [Done] Meanwhile here are people interpreting it and its meaning for us all. As annoying as that is in the absence of knowing what he actually said.)
