By the time the Beeb notices it, one wonders how bad things really are. In any case, this is quite a good bit by the BBC. I look forward to part II.
The video’s I added, (the BBC show was radio and hence, audio only) are nearly random but a few of them are bang on context and one video is specifically the one referred to by a speaker, when he mentions how hatred of Jewish people is specifically taught as part of Islamic faith, I found and added the video of an Egyptian state TV Imam saying exactly that.
I hope to be able to do part II this week after they broadcast it.

If any anti-Israel minded person tells you that the Muslims are just against “Zionism”, think again. They hate the Jews, pure and simple, for the Koran, Hadiths and Sunna tell them so. KGS

YNET: Iranian authorities once again ‘hit’ by past friendly relations with Israel : Images published Saturday by Iranian media outlets show a Star of David on the roof of the main national airline’s building at the Tehran airport.
The satellite image was taken from the Google Earth service. According to the Iranian report, the Iran Air building was “built by Israeli engineers,” who operated in the countries before the 1979 Islamic Revolution during the days of Shaa Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
“It’s interesting that even 32 years after the victory of the revolution, this Zionist star symbol has yet to be removed from this building,” a local news website wrote.
The calls to remove the Star of David, which the Iranian authorities view as a symbol associated with Israel, were accompanied by local media reports on the close relations with Israel in the past, which were completely severed after the revolution.
According to the reports, since 1960 El Al planes used to regularly take off from the Tehran airport to Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. In addition, Israel sold weapons to the Shaa’s army in exchange for oil, and Israeli experts trained their Iranian colleagues in the fields of agriculture and trade.
This is not the first time a symbol associated with Judaism sparks a media row in Iran. In August, a Star of David was spotted on one of the buildings in a main square in Tehran, which were accompanied by claims that “the Zionist regime is conquering the Revolution Square.”
Well. I guess beggars can be choosers when the beggars are sufficiently antisemitic that they can let really sick people suffer rather than be treated, for free mind, by Jews. This article found on the most excellent aggregate, The Religion Of Peace:
The Islamic Foundation of the Maldives has called on the government to break off all diplomatic ties with Israel, a day after Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) announced that a team of seven Israeli doctors is due to arrive in the country to treat patients at the government hospital for a week.
The Foundation requested the government terminate all ties with Israel saying ”we do not want any sort of assistance from Jews.”
President of the Islamic Foundation Ibrahim Fauzy said that the organisation did not support accepting “any sort of assistance from Israel as long as they are in the lands of Palestine. We should fear that we might have to face the wrath of God.”
Fauzy explained that the Islamic Foundation does not recognise Israel as a state as “they have stolen the lands of Palestine by power and force,” adding that “it also against our religion to have relationships with Jews.” (bold added)

First the Saturday People, then the Sunday People. Such graffiti can sometimes be found in Muslim neighborhoods in the Middle East. The “Saturday People” are, of course, Jews, today nearly gone from Muslim lands. Now the Sunday people”—Christians— are in the crosshairs, and they, too, are fleeing at an alarming rate. Both religions are unwelcome in many Muslim-majority lands for reasons of Islamist ideology—the declaration of jihad, or holy war, against infidels.
Recent terrorist attacks against Christians in Iraq have spotlighted their desperate circumstances in the Middle East, characterized by threats of terror and bloodshed, and culminating in a silent exodus from their ancient homelands—an exodus that mirrors that of the Jews half a century before. Murders, rapes, beatings, extortions, the burning and desecration of houses of worship and mob violence are abuses are all too familiar to surviving Jews who remember their own perilous journeys. Meanwhile, global anti-Christian violence calls into question the conclusions reached at the Special Assembly for the Middle East of the Synod of Bishops which took place in Vatican City last month.
Despite the violent realities on the ground, where radical Islamic terrorists call the shots, the Synod’s bishops chose to focus their attention on the “Israeli occupation” of the Palestinian territories. To the consternation of Israelis, the greater Jewish community as well as many Christian groups and organizations, the Synod neglected to name the actual perpetrators of ongoing violence against Christians. As Jesuit priest Raymond J. de Souza commented: “Radical Islam is the elephant in the sacristy at the synod. Arab Christians are reluctant to speak critically of their fellow Arabs, and there is intense pressure in the Islamic world to put the blame on Israel, Jews and the Christian West. Christians in that milieu fear being considered traitors should they too loudly insist upon their rights.”
Before October ended, al Qaeda had “responded” to the Catholic Bishops’ message with a message of their own. On Sunday, October 31, eight terrorists stormed into the Syriac Catholic Church of Our Lady of Salvation in Baghdad. just as Fr. Wassim Sabih finished the mass. As the intruders started shooting, the priest fell to the floor, begging for the lives of his parishioners. His assailants silenced him with their guns. They held the rest of the congregation hostage, demanding the release of two Muslim women, supposedly held by Egyptian Coptic Christians. A team of Iraqi security forces tried to intervene, but in response the killers threw grenades into the crowd and detonated explosive vests. The total death count was 57, including two priests. Student in Italian university threatened by Palestinian students, one of whom was armed. Police fail to apprehend suspects. Israeli: They shouted ‘slaughter the Jews’

An Israeli student at the University of Genoa in Italy was harassed and threatened by Palestinian students last Tuesday, only to be ignored by the police.
Assaf, a 26-year-old Israeli architecture student, was eating at the cafeteria when Ibrahim Haji, a student from Gaza, came and began taunting him.
“He came towards me, punched me and said ‘why are you looking at me?’ I told him I wasn’t looking at him, and asked him to let me eat in peace,” Assaf said. “A minute later he was back, swinging a fork, and called me in front of everyone to come outside while cursing Israel and declaring his intention to kill.
I understood that I have to avoid this dangerous situation. I told my Italian friends, who were eating with me, that I’m going back to my room so as not to respond to this provocation. On my way out I turned to the cashier and told her, ‘Call the police. You heard the man threatening to kill,’ and she responded, ‘It’s not my job to separate Jews and Arabs.’”
Assaf’s attempt to distance himself from the fight failed. Ibrahim waited for him outside and went for the attack. As Assaf tried to defend himself, Italian passersby stepped in to intervene and held him back. Ibrahim took the opportunity to draw a large kitchen knife. The Italian students tried to stop him. TORONTO — Interpol has issued a wanted notice for a young Toronto extremist who sparked outrage when he urged terrorists to attack Canada and to carry out a genocide of the country’s Jewish population.
Salman an-Noor Hossain, 25, a Bangladeshi-Canadian, was added to the international police organization’s database of fugitives at the request of Ontario Provincial Police.
Last July, police charged Hossain with two counts of advocating a genocide and three counts of promoting hatred but he left the country before the investigation was completed and has not yet been arrested.
“The OPP and the OPP Hate Crimes Unit are still actively seeking Mr. Hossain,” said Insp. Dave Ross, an OPP spokesman. “We have an outstanding arrest warrant based on the charges that were laid earlier this year.
“As part of that process, we submit the information on the individual to Interpol, which circulates it among police services around the world,” he said. “It is an ongoing investigation, we are actively following leads and trying to track down Mr. Hossain and bring him to justice.”
Born in Bangladesh, and apparently raised in Ghana before immigrating to Canada with his parents, Hossain was studying at the University of Toronto in Mississauga, Ont., when counter-terrorism police grew concerned about his Internet posts, which called for terrorist attacks in Canada, cheered the killing of Canadian troops in Afghanistan and urged the genocide of Canada’s Jews.
The RCMP, CSIS and OPP conducted investigations, but Ontario Attorney General Chris Bentley told the Jewish community last fall Hossain was not being charged, in part because he was undergoing rehabilitation.
But Hossain quickly resurfaced on a U.S.-based conspiracy theory website where he repeatedly urged that Canada’s Jews be “exterminated,” “slaughtered” and subjected to “mass executions.”
Even after he was charged, he continued to promote racist violence until Internet companies shutdown his websites last summer.
An email requesting a response to his Interpol wanted poster went unanswered.
“We have, for a number of years, pointed to the fact that Salman Hossain was a dangerous, hateful man,” said Bernie Farber, CEO of the Canadian Jewish Congress. “We are very relieved to see that international policing have placed a high priority on his capture.”
Police would not identify the country where they believe Hossain is hiding. The wanted poster on the Interpol website says a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Mississauga, Ont.
A good analysis of the sort of abuse that Palestinians subject their children to, for a cheap media propaganda stunt.

BERLIN – The mushrooming number of anti-Semitic incidents in the Netherlands in 2009 – a 48 percent increase over 2008 – may be “just the tip of the iceberg,” Ronny Naftaniel, the head of The Hague-based Center for Information and Documentation on Israel, said on Thursday.
Many anti-Semitic incidents are not reported, Naftaniel said in a statement.
According to Dutch police statistics, the 48% increase represented 209 reported anti-Semitic incidents in 2009.
That accounted for 9.4% of discrimination- based incidents in the Netherlands, although Jews constitute only 0.3% of the country’s 16.6 million people.
In 2008, the police registered 141 anti-Semitic incidents. Anti-gay attacks rose 13% in 2009 when compared to the previous year, and amounted to 35% of all discrimination-based incidents.
There were 428 anti-homosexual incidents in 2009; in 2008, 308 incidents were registered.
The Center for Information and Documentation on Israel said in its statement that “In January 2009 alone, CIDI – an independent watchdog organization – documented 98 attacks against Jews. This figure included nine physical assaults. The remaining incidents were threats and hate speech.
“During the whole of 2009, CIDI documented 167 anti-Semitic incidents – constituting an increase of 55% compared to CIDI’s 2008 report. Out of these, 35 were serious incidents, involving violent attacks or threats of violence, damaging synagogues and monuments and anti-Semitic graffiti of Jewish- owned buildings.”
The rise in attacks prompted human rights groups to urge the Dutch government to take action.
“CIDI and the gay rights organization COC called on the upcoming government of the Netherlands – whose makeup is being determined in coalition talks following a recent election – to address the growing anti-gay and anti- Jewish trends apparent in the report,” CIDI noted in its statement.
Dutch observers say that the Netherlands’ 1 million Muslims (about 5% of the population), largely from Morocco, coupled with anti-Israel leftists have contributed to a hostile climate for Jews in the Netherlands.
This is a heart-sinking story. A Jewish doctor begins to get abuse from Muslim patients even though he was the only one able to provide effective medical care to his patients children. Very discouraging and intuitively. I suspect as does the author of this piece, this is an upward trending phenomenon. Please click here to read it on Blazing Cat Fur.

A man who was lunching on the terrace of a restaurant in central Lyon was assaulted for not respecting Ramadan
He breakfasted on the terrace of a restaurant in central Lyon, the weekend of Aug. 15, when three youths pounced on him because he does not respect the fasting month of Ramadan. The father of Senegalese origin, living Venissieux, was struck in the head with a glass bottle, then hit with a chair.
Transported to the hospital with a fractured skull at the back, the victim has been trépanée. The attack was filmed by a CCTV camera, but the bad images do not identify the attackers. The Lyon prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation. According to our information, the manager of Kebab, fearing reprisals, would testify under X.
Three days later, a young Jewish woman who wore a complaint after being assaulted in a large area of Toulouse. . The victim claimed to have been taken to task by two teenagers who accused him of buying food during fasting.
The young woman would then argued that she was Jewish, which would only intensify the anger of his attackers, who, after having called a “dirty Jew”, allegedly hit on the head, by the heavy fall.
A vigil attended the scene without intervening. When questioned by investigators about the reasons for its passivity, the man explained that he respected Ramadan and so was anxious to leave in order to eat, from the sunset.
