Not that we need one, but in this clip Coren finds guests who give brilliant examples of the kind of banal moral equivalence so common in western peoples. What I call, ‘intellectual slight of hand’ in as much as one guest here actually compares someone showing a picture of an aborted fetus with the London 7/7 bombers. This video clip might be called, ‘The anatomy of leftist sophistry.’ One might also find amusement that Coren does a show on the 7/7 bombings and the guest insists on distracting to the one act of Christian terrorism he can think of, McVeigh and Oklahoma. Interestingly Timothy loathed Christianity. But the attempt to distract from the literally thousands of terrorist attacks by mentioning the one that isn’t needs to be seen for what it is.

Islamist teacher living in Canada illegally

Pakistani scholar Farhat Hashmi entered Canada in October 2004 on a visitor’s visa, has twice been denied permission to work, and was ordered to leave the country in September 2005. Yet she is still here. In the meantime, she has founded al-Huda Islamic Centre of Canada, a girls’ school in Mississauga where she teaches a strict Islamist interpretation of the Koran.
Moderate Muslims believe her lessons encourage extremist views among her students in Mississauga — the same Toronto suburb where many of the 17 men arrested last month on terrorism-related charges grew up and allegedly developed into radicals. Some of those young men’s militant views are reputed to have been influenced by their ideologically inclined wives.
A charismatic figure who cloaks her face and body in orthodox garb, Hashmi amassed considerable wealth in the 1990s by establishing a chain of religious schools across Pakistan. Focusing her instruction on young Westernized women from monied families who had hitherto preferred a pair of jeans to the hijab, Hashmi became famous converting them to a stricter form of Islam. Stories abound of young Muslim party girls changing their ways after just a few lectures, donning the black veils that Hashmi is said to make available for purchase at her schools, along with her lectures in print, audio and DVD formats. “Her network of schools in Pakistan caters exclusively to the upper class,” says Tarek Fatah, of the Muslim Canadian Congress. “And that is where she is turning women into mothers who are then converting their sons into extremists.”
Ms Hashmi encourages her girls to allow their husbands to marry more than once. She has also taught that an earthquake in Kashmir was divine punishment for “immoral activities”. Hmmmm. Islamists seem to have a penchant for attributing natural disasters to God’s vengeance against certain degenerates and reprobates.
The basis of Ms Hashmi’s work permit application was an offer of employment from the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which still wants her to stay to teach Muslim girls.
Mohammad Ashraf, secretary general of ISNA Canada and the man who signed Hashmi’s letter of employment, defended her. “We need people like her — men and women who really teach what the Koran says,” he told Maclean’s. “These people who are criticizing her, they are just going around the bush because they don’t practise Islam themselves.”
Wajid Khan, Liberal MP for Mississauga-Streetsville, wants her gone pronto. He doesn’t understand why the immigration bureaucracy hasn’t acted on the eviction letter delivered nine months ago. He’s not the only one.

The UK may show this in theaters. It is possible this will cause riots but not because any Muslims object to the content, only that they object to a film that makes Islam appear imperfect or antithetical to western values. When Moe was lampooned in the Danish cartoons we all remember the world wide riots. This was not because of the use of the image of Moe. It was because it was not under terms Muslims where OK with. Islam has no problem with the objectification of women and dehumanizing of them. It simply does not like it when we point out that these are bad things. I will be interested to see what fallout of any there is to the screening of this film in England given that they barred Geeert Wilders for his far less damning film ‘Fitna.’
Bangladeshi woman sentanced to 5 years for attempted murder of her daughter and second cousin
There is so much wrong in this story it is difficult to read. Was this really an arranged marriage as the story claims or more typical of Islam, a forced one. These two people are cousins. Is a first cousin marriage legal in the UK at all?
This woman was a prisoner of sharia in her UK home to the point that she was longing to go back to Bangladesh. Is sharia now so draconian and enforceable in England that years and years can go by and women will not be able to get out from its grip to the point that Bangladesh seems like a bastion of freedom and women’s rights? All this and we haven’t even touched on the near unimaginable wrong of a mother stabbing her baby. As to sharia law in the UK Anyone who has read Bruce Bawer’s excellent book, ‘While Europe Slept’ of course knows the answer to that. But to see it spelled out so casually in British news is frankly terrifying. The casual nature of the events and facts of this family and how they live. That the judge is awarding the baby daughter to the father and not the state. That the cost to the UK taxpayer for all the medical bills for this sort of action while indigenous British people who live responsibly and avoid marrying cousins and stabbing their babies have to pay the massive bills medical and legal for those who hold nothing but contempt for British culture and laws.
Frankly, there is an entire essay that could be done about the unasked questions in the article below.

Mother jailed for stabbing her baby after arranged-marriage husband tried to force her to leave Britain

A mother who tried to kill her own baby was jailed for just five years today after a judge said she had felt ‘powerless’ in an arranged marriage.
The desperate woman stabbed her eight-month-old daughter with a kitchen knife after her husband told her to leave Britain but said she could not take the child with her.
He gave his Bangladesh-born bride a one-way ticket out of Britain and took out a court injunction, banning her from taking their child out of the country.
A 25-year-old woman was sentenced to five years in prison for attempting to stab her eight-month old child to death to prevent them being separated
The 25-year-old told relatives she would kill the baby and then commit suicide herself rather be separated from her child, saying: ‘If I can’t have her then no-one will.’
The Old Bailey heard she had plunged the kitchen knife into her tiny daughter’s stomach, causing a 1.6 inch wound which almost killed the child.
One of the baby’s ribs stopped the blade and she underwent emergency surgery to save her from the stabbing. Continue Reading →
In England, Girls Vulnerable to Islamic Law

In March of last year a severely autistic man with the mental age of three married a woman in Bangladesh, via the telephone. Three of Britain’s most senior judges intervened, ruling the marriage could not be legal under English law, as the man was unable to give his consent.
This marriage, said Lord Justice Thorpe, was “sufficiently offensive to the conscience of the English court that the court should refuse to recognise it and should refuse to give effect to the law of Bangladesh and sharia law.”
Only six months later, sharia courts that had formerly operated illegally in Britain were reclassified as “tribunals” under the Arbitration Act, allowing them to pass effectively legally binding judgments in many civil matters.
However, with sharia law incompatible with English law and modern human rights norms, concerns were rightly raised that the sharia court system in Britain would grow into a parallel legal system. The disparity between English and sharia law was highlighted only a month later, as the House of Lords passed judgment in the case of a Lebanese woman who had claimed the right to remain in the UK with her son. An earlier Lebanese court decision, under sharia law, meant that, despite a history of abuse, her former husband would get automatic custody of the child when he turned seven.
Lord Hope of Craighead observed that under the sharia judgment, “[…] there is a real risk of a flagrant denial of their article 8 rights [of the European Convention on Human Rights] if the appellant and her child were to be returned to Lebanon.” Lord Bingham of Cornhill added, rather triumphantly, that her case was supported “[…] by JUSTICE and Liberty.”
Justice and liberty, Lord Cornhill appeared to say, are not supported by sharia. Not even in civil cases. For, in sharia, the rights of the man supersede the rights of the woman and children, Muslims are privileged over non-Muslims, and – where sharia is the dominant or sole form of law – cruel punishments, including death by stoning, hanging, etc., are meted out for adultery, homosexuality, apostasy, etc.
Although it has generally been thought that five sharia courts were operating in Britain, just over a week ago Civitas revealed that there are now at least 85 sharia courts operating across the country.
Troublingly, Civitas says that some sharia rulings it looked at, “[…] advise illegal actions and others that transgress human rights standards as they are applied by British courts,” and that, “[…] for many Muslims, sharia courts are in practice part of an institutionalised atmosphere of intimidation, backed by the ultimate sanction of a death threat.” Continue Reading →

People of the UK, it’s time to destroy the BBC.
The BBC has morphed from what was once a brilliant and accurate news service into a post-modern, British-hating, Christian-loathing, and Islam-promoting propaganda service at UK taxpayers’ expense. Surely in a democracy you decent folks of the UK can find a way to force your government to end the BBC as a publicly funded institution. Or is the UK now truly a government with a people instead of the other way around?
To understand my rage please read the following two BBC religion tests, one on Christianity and the other on Islam. After you do, come back here and let’s compare notes:
I do not have enough time left in this life to write up all that is wrong with these two tests. But let’s see if we can cover at least a few points and argue about which are the most important.
1. The questions for Islam are clearly designed to show that Islam in fact better represents secular values and ironically even Christian ones better than Christianity does according to the test on Christianity. It does so with outright misrepresentation and, dare I say, lie, lies of omission, mostly, such as in question #1, where it makes a claim to racial and human equality and fails to mention the dozens of places where Mohamed is reputed to have said that Jews are sons of monkeys and pigs, where women are created deficient and sharia law requires two and sometimes four female witnesses to equal one man, which never happens in reality, or how blacks are invariably referred to as slaves wherever they appear in Islamic scripture, as Arabic does not have a word for blacks which does not mean ‘slaves,’ not 1400 years ago and not now.
Here are a few choice omissions from question 1 of the Muslim test:
Muslims are told that Africans have hearts “grosser than a donkey” (Surah 9:61) . Ishaq: 243 “I heard the Apostle say: ‘Whoever wants to see Satan should look at Nabtal!’ He was a black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks…. Allah sent down concerning him: ‘To those who annoy the Prophet there is a painful punishment.” [Surah 9:61] “Gabriel came to Muhammad and said, ‘If a black man comes to you his heart is more gross than a donkey’s.’”Yet and still Louis Farrakan and his followers will tell us the lie that Christianity is the white man’s religion.
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah’s Apostle said, “You should listen to and obey, your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin.” (Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 89, Number 256)Hadith; vol.9:162,163: Muhammad warned that dreams of black women meant disease was forthcoming. Astonishing deception practiced by the BBC to try and force British people to loathe their own history and accept Islam as some warped, rewritten thing of itself. As if somehow Islam were more politically correct and multicultural and open to science and reason than they themselves are. Utterly horrifying. I have to laugh when I read this and think of the arguments I have had with Muslims and especially Saudi ones not to mention several leftist Muslim apologists over the issue of women and Islam. This woman has more courage and wisdom than any thousand Muslim men.

JEDDAH: Police are searching for a 28-year-old woman who ran away from a Social Affairs-run women’s shelter in Jeddah on Friday.
Col. Misfar Al-Juaid, spokesman for Jeddah police, said the woman ran away while the police were preparing to take her to jail in line with a court order. He further urged the young woman to surrender and warned the public against giving her shelter.
The court had ordered the police to take the woman to jail while it examined a case filed against her by her father. The woman fled her parents’ home after accusing them of abusing her and sought refuge at the shelter.
The woman had earlier complained against her father at a summary court. The father had then filed a counter-case against her, accusing her of disobeying her parents, a culpable offense under Saudi law. The court refused to entertain the woman’s petition and instead began examining the father’s complaint.
Before issuing a final verdict, the court ordered police to take the woman to jail. When police arrived to take her, the woman said she needed to use the toilet and on entering the ladies’ toilet she fled.
Urging the young woman to return to her senses and surrender to the authorities, Dr. Ali Al-Hanaki, director of the Ministry of Social Affairs Ministry in Jeddah, said, “The solution now lies in her own hands. Each additional day she refuses to obey the authorities will only worsen her problem.”
He added that the ministry had pledged to resolve her problem without sending her to jail. “We have informed the court of our plans, which include arranging for her to marry and reconciling her with her family,” said Al-Hanaki.
He also requested her father to stop sending threatening messages to the authorities.

For the second time fantastic news. From France! Really!
This is truly fantastic news. It is our opinion at Vladtepesblog that all which is needed to defeat Islam in the west and end this whole problem before it turns into the inevitable rivers of blood catastrophe that history seems to demand of us every second generation or so, is to simply stop giving in to the constant, strident and increasing demands by Muslims in all walks of Western life. Hell maybe next time the French attend a state dinner in the KSA they should demand that no Korans are present since they are not Muslim and the site of them offends them. As frankly it probably should.
Again, notice the difference between Muslims and every other faith. If Jews decide not to eat pork then they wont eat pork. They will not insist no one else does. They may ask for a separate meal cooked in accordance with Jewish laws but this would make them only slightly less annoying and intolerant than the average vegetarian and certainly not as bad as your basic vegan.
Muslims demand all subject themselves to sharia. This is the distinction that needs to be recognized and fought with all we have.

A Hint of Backbone From the French Government

Wine is important to the French, and with good reason: they make the best wine in the world. It’s no cause for surprise that an attempt to interfere with wine at an official French government luncheon turned out to be the cause of a diplomatic row.
Our French correspondent Robert Marchenoir has written a report about the incident, based on a recent post in Georges Malbrunot’s blog at Le Figaro:
The French cancel an official lunch with Iraq’s premier after a row over wine
On the front of resistance to dhimmification, good news is scarce. Therefore it’s worth reporting this one, even if it comes from a French government too often mired in disgusting subservience to Islam’s demands.
An official lunch organised by the French president with Iraq’s prime minister Nouri al-Maliki was cancelled when the latter asked that no wine should be served to anyone.
The incident, which happened during an official visit of Iraq’s premier last May in Paris, has just been disclosed on his blog by Georges Malbrunot, senior reporter at Le Figaro daily.
“When Nouri al-Maliki realised that wine was to be served, his chief of staff insisted that ‘unholy alcohol’ be kept off the table. The French told him that it was out of the question. Maliki, a practising Shia Muslim, refused to yield. As a result, the lunch was simply cancelled.”
“‘We made a mistake,’ an Iraqi diplomat admits. ‘We should have informed the French protocol about this detail beforehand.’“
Note how the Iraq diplomat feels that this is only a “detail”, that their mistake was only of not giving advance notice, and that just “informing” the French authorities of their whims would have been enough to make their host comply without discussion.
“The incident did not alter the rest of the visit, however. ‘His meeting with Sarkozy in the afternoon went along very well,’ said a witness.”
“A similar incident had occurred at the end of the 90s, when Mohammad Khatami, the reformist president of Iran at that time, had paid an official visit to France. Elaborate negotiations were started. It was even suggested that wine bottles might be hidden in cupboards, in order not to offend Iranian guests. But the hosts held their ground.”
“‘We are not required to comply with such demands’, argues a French diplomat. ‘We are at home. It is our guests who have to yield to our rules’.”
Sane words. If only they were uttered more frequently in official circles.

Mother of 2 beaten up, ‘forced’ to drink poison

A 29-year old woman lost her life in Narsingdi yesterday after her dowry demanding husband beat her up and allegedly forced her to drink poison.Suraiya Akhter, 28, a mother of two from Joshor village under Shibpur upazila, died on the way to the local hospital.
Relatives said that Suraiya’s husband Anwar Hossain, 32, of the same village has long been torturing his wife for dowry from her parents. He wanted Tk 1 lakh in cash.
As her parents were not able to cough up this amount, Anwar regularly tortured his wife.
On Friday night, an argument broke out between the husband and wife again over this matter, and Anwar mercilessly beat his wife and later tried to strangle her with his own hands.
As she struggled to breathe, Anwar allegedly forced her to drink poison before taking her to the hospital.
She died on the way, and Anwar told everyone that Suraiya had committed suicide. Suriaya’s relatives refuted this, citing the regular beatings she received at his hand for dowry.
When they confronted Anwar and accused him of murdering Suraiya, Anwar and his brother Iqbal attacked Suraiya’s relatives with a daa (curved chopper), seriously injuring Arun, Al Amin, Sohrab, Saidur, Khokan and Shamim.
The injured men were admitted into different clinics.
A case has been filed in this regard with Shibpur thana.
Police sent the body to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.

With the Task Force’s prevention-programme, for the first time true protection of minor girls from this violence comes into reach.
FP: Ines Laufer, welcome to Frontpage Interview.
I would like to build on our last interview about how European politics give a helping hand to Female Genital Mutilation.
Let’s talk a bit about the myths, lies and errors about FGM.
Laufer: Sure, thanks Jamie.
Today, after 30 years of widely unsuccessful efforts for an end of the torturing mutilations, the time is overripe to identify, name and overcome all the fatal myths, lies and fundamental errors which continue to be spread even by so-called scientists and even most “activists”.
To reveal all those myths is about much more than being right or wrong; it’s about explaining WHY most strategies in the fight to end FGM until now are predestined to fail – and to be not much more than a waste of money, time, energy and resources – while millions of little girls continue to be maimed every year.
It’s about going to the roots and finding out the baleful mechanisms that lead to the continuation of this violent practice.
Finally, it’s about reforming the approaches and strategies, it’s about effective investment of resources and it’s about measurable results.
It’s about leaving worn-out paths which do only lead into a dead-end-street.
FP: Indeed, so let’s start with some of the myths. The first one is, obviously, that FGM has nothing to do with Islam, right?
Laufer: Right.
Myth #1: FGM has nothing to do with Islam as it is not mentioned in the Koran.
As soon as it comes to discussions about the influence of religion on the worldwide perpetration of FGM on little girl-children, most “activists,” organisations and politicians are very anxious to explain that genital mutilations have nothing to do with Islam, that they are not mentioned in the Koran, and that there are followers of other religions, especially Christians and Animists, who also submit their female members to FGM.
Of course, FGM is prevalent among other religious groups than Islam – but it is mistaken to reason that there would not be a very close and very fatal link between Islam and FGM.
The truth is: Today, the vast majority of FGM-victims are Muslim girls and women. This is not even a surprise – because regardless the fact that FGM is not mentioned in the Koran, Muslim clerics widely propagate FGM and publicly legitimize this violence and instigate it. They do not even need to cite the Koran, because they simply refers to the Hadith of the prophet Mohammed.
It is hard going to argue if the FGM-concerned Hadith are “weak” or “strong”.
The only thing that counts is the social reality: In the 21st century, Islam is the only religion that is systematically being exploited by male authorities to make sure that women and their sexuality are brought under male’s control by destroying the most sensitive sexual part of the body, the clitoris.
But until now, the highest Islamic authorities deny their active participation and responsibility in spreading the mutilation-practice all over the world and strictly encourage its continuation – not only in African, Arabian or Asian countries, but also in Europe.[1]
FP: And the places in Africa that FGM is most prevalent are Muslim.
Laufer: Right. If one has a look at the FGM-practicing countries on the world-map, one can hardly elude from the following cognition: In Africa, the countries where genital mutilations have been adopted, all belong to the “belt of Islamisation”. This fact – as well as hints which indicate that in Western-Africa, FGM does not date back more than 500 years – allows the assumption that FGM has been spread to Middle and Western Africa by Islamization. The C.A.F. responds to the National Post. With Pure taqyyia bullshit
First, you may or may not have seen the National Post’s handling of the opinion of some senior members of the Canada Arab Federation towards Canada, a land which took these people in presumably when their own nations had become so inhospitable that it was easier to move to Canada away from all friends, family, language, familiar surroundings, religion and decent weather. I would also wager that most of those in the CAF had come as refugees as opposed to legal immigrants but that is a small matter.
When the NP pointed out these opinions one CAF member responded with a blog post of his own resorting to the predictable sanctimony of alleged mistreatment of aboriginals in Canada and saying he would never accept Canada Day until they did.

I will celebrate “Canada Day” when the natives doBy Omar Shaban
This statement is in response to all the speculations and assumptions made about me in the media regarding a position that I took in a personal message on facebook. My facebook status did read “F*** Canada Day”, and it was followed by a few other comments in response to some of the questions that people posted. Some consider that taking this position is disgraceful and shameful but I tend to disagree.
First of all, my statement clearly did not reflect CAF’s position; it was my own personal opinion.
Secondly, I said “F*** Canada Day” and I regret the dark history that this country has. On our silent government’s behalf, I apologize to the indigenous people for this, and sincerely wish it had not happened to you. I apologize to the indigenous people of Canada because their feelings are not taken into consideration at “Canada Day” celebrations. I apologize to them because they had to be slaughtered, killed, massacred, diseased and dispossessed to establish Canada. And I apologize to the indigenous people because they continue to live in reserves under miserable and dire conditions that no so-called “Canadian” would accept to live under.
I also apologize for being a citizen of a country that followed George Bush’s orders and went to Afghanistan. I apologize for being a citizen of a country that imposed sanctions on the Palestinian people because they followed Canada’s own advice and elected a new government democratically. I apologize because it was Canada’s own Lester Pearson that masterminded the notorious Partition Plan of Palestine, and it was Canada’s own Paul Martin who compared Canada’s values with Israel’s values, and it was Canada’s own Michael Ignatieff who legitimized Israel’s onslaught on Gaza in Dec 08/Jan 09.
I did not resign from CAF because “it was felt that [I] had to correct that” and that “[I] decided that the best thing for [me] to do was to resign” (http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2009/07/02/9997971-sun.html); I resigned from CAF because I do not want to be part of an organization that openly refuses to acknowledge Canada’s colonial and shameful history.
We are only lying to ourselves if we deny the dark past that Canada was founded on. Canada Day is seen as tragic by its true indigenous population. When Canada Day is celebrated for true freedom and not mourned by the indigenous population of Canada for its colonial and dark past, I will gladly show them my support. When the country I was born in, shames me with its colonial mindset, I refuse to celebrate it, and will not apologize for refusing to do so.
I WILL celebrate Canada Day, only when it is accepted as legitimate by the indigenous people.

Perhaps it is time to have a look at how aboriginal people are treated in the Islamic world. They do not get special land rights. They do not own casinos. They do not have the unfettered right to their own religion, beliefs, and history and have it subsidized by the Muslim majority. Let’s have a look:

Research by anthropologist Ian McIntosh shows that contact between Aboriginals and the Muslim Macassan fishermen was extremely disruptive with an evil power entering Aboriginal society for ever. The result was Aboriginals learned they were ‘black’ and came to believe they lost power and wealth to the ‘white’ other (Muslim Macassans) and will forever be impoverished and dominated! (Australian Folklore 11, 1996 131)
Islam is targeting Aboriginals by feeding them a false rosy picture of the first contact with Muslims who came to take from Aboriginal land along with false tales of ‘similarities’ etc! At a recent Brisbane conference ‘Challenges and Opportunities for Islam and the West – The Case of Australia’ (3-5/3/08), Ms Peta Stephenson presented a paper ‘Reaffirming Aboriginality through Allah: Indigenous Muslims in Australia’ promoting this rosy view, absurdly linking Aboriginality with Islam and promoting the view that the world was Muslim! In reality Aboriginality is destroyed by Islam (see also parts 2, 3 – to come).

So, before Omar the Canadian Arab Federation ingrate starts to pretend that in some way he has a right to shit all over the nation who foolishly and mistakenly took him and hundreds of thousands of his people in and then justify it with the gossamer thin rationanalization of evil deeds done to aboriginals some hundreds of years ago well, people who live in glass houses Omar. Have a look at what Arabs and Muslims are doing NOW all over the world. While Darfur may be the most horrifying contemporary example it is by no means the only one.
For anyone as yet unconvinced, you may want to read Sword of the Prophet by Serge Trifkovic cover to cover. This book will explain what Islam does to aboriginal culture. The respect it shows and the museums it builds to the customs, music, and art of aboriginal peoples wherever Muslims find them.
Suffice it to say, your taxes will not go up to pay for these institutions.

Addendum:
It is worth noting that unlike the Canadian Arab Federation who have a large part of their budget paid by the Canadian Government AKA the Dhimmi taxpayers, people like Kitman, Jdamn and Grace have devoted their free time to studying Islam and other threats to western liberal democracy at their own expense. The fact that so many people choose to devote so much of themselves and at their own expense often working harder to earn the money to study and blog alone should offer some idea of the severity of the threat in North America and Europe offered by Islam and irrational leftism.
